Though was a busy evening, the crew's service was superb; attentive & friendly - served with warm smiles. The quality of food is gd; sausages were not too salty, and tasted well with the smooth mashed potatoes. Pleasant dinning experience.

I've actually loved Käfer Bistro for years. I really wanted to make the most of having to wait 10 minutes to be seated even though there were seats available. Something like that is absolutely not possible, staff shortage or not. Friendliness is also a foreign word. Too bad. I probably won't be coming back here any time soon.

There will be no more Munich white sausages from 11:00 onwards!! Truly tremendous. Just because it is declared as a “Munich breakfast” and breakfasts are only served until 11:00 a.m. From now on we will only go to Dallmeier at the airport, they also serve white sausages later and the service is much friendlier...

Was really surprised at Munich airport. Friendly staff, super delicious food and drinks. Sure, a bit expensive fun but just the airport.

I had a great experience dining here while waiting for my flight. Service was quick; waitress was friendly. I had the nurnberger plate with mashed potatoes. It tasted very good( especially the mashed potatoes) and was very filling. The carrot cake, however, wasn’t to my liking.

A very nice bistro at the airport, with a very nice atmosphere. And really enjoyed it here. Quiet and stylish. And not as crowded as other cafes.

The place is a little expensive, but I ate very well (schnitzel and strudel), the waitress was very nice and capable 🌟

Potential guests were kept waiting to be seated at the table and were sometimes ignored until they moved on

Delicious breakfast and service

The food was very good and the service was friendly and unobtrusive. Of course the price is not the cheapest but you shouldn't expect that here either. We'd love to come back!

If you have a lot of time to kill at the airport, this is your place! 40 minutes so far waiting on a pretty basic breakfast order. Fortunately, I’m not in a rush.

Waiter recommended bottled water. He came with a tiny 0.25L glass bottle of vio water and they charged me €4.50. Do yourself a favor and skip the water!

Despite an absolute disaster at the airport and a number of flight cancellations, the food was excellent and the service was very nice and on point. The quality of the food was very good. Freshly cooked and tasty! The curry with shrimp is simply top! Thanks to the kitchen and the service, who kept an overview despite the chaos at the airport.

Cappuccino OK. Tarta Caprese very hard, no longer fresh in my opinion. However, the waitress said it was appropriate, it was fresh and sold well. Not a nice experience

Got forced to sit at the bar with like 50 flies buzzing about while the rest of the place was empty because we dared to ask if they serve drinks as well, even though I was going to grab a Bretze and other snacks. Way to feel unwelcome the moment you step into the place when theres like three tables of dudes sitting around only having beer. PS as I sit stewing at the bar I count a minimum of 26 fruit flies above my head - which I am evading as I type.

Terrible experience!!! Do not ever go here! I just asked the server what he recommends for breakfast and his answer was yelling at me “I recommend you to read the menu!” After my 10 hours flight, I left instantly, I almost got into a fight with him. It’s the worst experience I ever had!

The food was delicious and I loved the fact that the restaurant was more quiet than the rest. My favourite part was that I was able to order half size of the main course. The staff was also good and professional.

My best food-experience in an airport !! After a cancelled flight,I was looking for a good spot to eat. Never had a diner in an airport before. The experience was amazing. Tasty sausages with mashed potato and sauerkraut. Airport prices of course. But no complaints. Came back again on another connecting flight. Same again. Service was quick after a little wait for a seat. Makes me laugh that the beer is cheaper than the water. Atmosphere is nice given it's an airport. Could be any pub in town, just has faster service than you expect in a pub. Waiter runs around seating, taking payments, taking orders, bringing food. He's non stop.

16.50€ for four tiny rolls, I didn't know that you could bake such small rolls (on the menu "bread basket"), a small butter, a small jam and a natural yoghurt???? I first thought of “the hidden camera”! The service was very nice.

If this is supposed to be a reference to beetles, things seem to be in really bad shape for beetles: no greeting whatsoever from the waitress, careless menus being thrown out, staff audibly arguing with each other and with the kitchen. “Apollinaris” is table water and not mineral water, which is what I actually wanted…. Ordered Wiener Schnitzel twice, one portion was fresh, one was apparently made from molded meat. I find that unpleasant in direct comparison. Of course the freshly prepared tasted better. I hope the Beetle caterings in the Berlin Reichstag represent German gastronomic art better than what happened here. I'll avoid this restaurant in the future, although I like the presence of an airport restaurant and the decor.

The first impression was great, the waiter was very friendly. The food was delicious, since it is asparagus season, we had the schnitzel with asparagus and hollandaise sauce. Prices like at the airport. There is nothing to complain about. Gladly again when there is time between flights.

The service was friendly and very quick! We wanted to change something shortly after ordering because the pasta was already in the cooking water - so we simply ate the very good asparagus salad afterwards.

Probably the nicest place in Terminal 2, the atmosphere is nice with noir decor - you may forget you're in the airport. :) Good desert, tried the strudel and pancakes 🥞 which were really good, the butter makes all the difference. Coffee is the same as in the other places, premium coffee only so no tips for specialty coffee lovers. But the price is more or less the same, so it's worth it for the comfort. Terminal 1 is nicer than Terminal 2 with more options overall.

They always just say that someone will come soon to take the order. But it didn't happen. The sandwiches at the stand diagonally opposite are good.

Server was an older gentleman. Food is underwhelming. Server rejected our transaction 3x and FORCED us to add a tip IN FRONT of him. See other reviews with overworked staff and many customers overcharged… please do not support this restaurant…

I always go here when I have to wait a bit for my flight. I always get a seat, the waitresses are friendly and the food is always delicious. You can argue about the price, but you're at the airport. If you're looking for peace and quiet, it's better to go to a lounge, but if you want to watch people, this is the right place.

Everything we had was good but “we don’t have Black coffee in the menu” is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Every coffee starts off as black. Just don’t put milk in it. We were not the only ones.

Rudest staff in the airport. Empty tables and refused to allow client to enter. Several groups were told to wait or leave. Would avoid this place at all cost

Of all the options at Munich Airport, and I have tried them all, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Käfer. Both the quality of the food and the prices are by far much better than the other options. The staff were super friendly, not always the case in an airport. This will definitely be my place to get a coffee and a sandwich when I come to Munich airport to pick up Family and friends.

Disappointing……I only come here for the sausage salad. Unfortunately, as long as it's no longer on the menu, it was the last time. It's a shame that tradition is dying

Dinner in this restaurant was very quick and pleasant also thanks to the very good Sardinian waiter who works there. I was able to have dinner quickly without missing my connection and at the same time I also had the opportunity to exchange a few words in Italian. I recommend the restaurant for the service and friendliness of the waiter. The food is acceptable, but nothing more.

Nice quiet find in a busy airport. Safer Bistro has a nice quiet atmosphere, with easy access and a large menu to serve most any taste. Steak dish was average at best, but the fish dish was excellent. Beer and champagne (long upcoming flight....) were also cold and above expectations. Costs were a little high for the quality received (steak) even for an airport, though not expecting any bargains in an airport this didf eel a little spendy. Service very friendly, attentive and fast. If you are looking for a quiet corner in a busy airport, this might be your spot.

I have to admit that this restaurant is really good when considering it is an airport restaurant. The service is very nice and quick. I liked the pasta!

I stopped by this restaurant because I was hungry before boarding the plane to Korea. I wasn't expecting much, but it was really delicious. I ate a lot of steak while traveling in Europe, but the steak here was the most delicious. I highly recommend the steak, and be sure to try the pretzels. The beer is also delicious. Koreans, please stop by. I don't write reviews, but I will write a review as soon as I eat it.

Fair restaurant although a bit overpriced

I ate here 10 days ago, the waitress was really kind. I decided to eat sausages with masched potatoes. If I'll return at this airport in the future I'll eat there again.

Tolle Küche und super Service. Hier wird man freundlich bedient und vor allem ist es sauber. Qualität geht auch am Flughafen. Weiter so, so macht Warten Spaß.

Wir hatten Zeit bis zum Abflug und haben das Essen genossen. Das Wiener Schnitzel mit Radieschenkartoffelsalat und Preiselbeeren war sehr lecker. Auch die Rösti mit Lachs haben uns geschmeckt. Die Servicedame war sehr höflich und aufmerksam. Preise sind bekanntlich am Flughafen noch höher, als in der Stadt. Muss man mit rechnen 😉

Essen war gut und Kellnerin sehr nett. Am Ende sind wir aufgestanden um zahlen zu gehen. Suchen die Kellnerin aber ein Kellner (Hr de Vinc.) schreit rum, wir sollten an den Tisch zurück wenn wir zahlen wollen. Durch die Lautstärke schrecken andere Kunden auf die sehr wahrscheinlich denken, wir wollen ohne Bezahlung gehen. Wie peinlich… 😂😂. Katastrophaler Kellner. Unter diesen Umständen kein Trinkgeld gegeben. Bzgl. Aufstehen und zum Kassenstand gehen um zu zahlen: das Bistro befindet sich im Flughafen. In jedem Flughafenbistro muss in Betracht gezogen werden, dass Gäste schnell zahlen und weg wollen. Dem müssen die internen Prozesse des Restaurants gerecht werden.

Bin sehr oft in diesem Lokal und fast immer sehr zufrieden Leider heute am 13.8. 2023 unglaublich der Service Das Lokal abgesperrt und man lässt nur auf massives Auftreten Kunden ins Lokal Man wird von der weiblichen Bedienung dann auch noch als unhöflich beschimpft Für mich ist Käfer am Airport eigentlich immer ein Highlight am Flughafen Umso größer war meine Enttäuschung heute Der Unmut machte sich im ganzen Lokal breit

Bardzo dobry lokal z tradycyjną kuchnią. Szczególnie godny polecenia jest klasyczny Wiener Schnitzel podawany z sałatką ziemniaczaną. Lokal oferuje również wybór świetnych niemieckich piw. Bardzo miła obsługa. Dania są podawane bardzo szybko.

Die Qualität des Essens ist sehr gut. Das Personal freundlich. Die Portionen sind übersichtlich und der Preis hoch. Käfer halt. Man wird auch mal während des Essens gefragt ob man sich umsetzen könnte, um für andere Gäste mehr Platz zu schaffen. Wenn das Wiener Schnitzel nicht so gut schmecken würde, gäbe es sicherlich andere Optionen. Auch an diesem Flughafen.

Although i do not like so much big chains, Kaefer somehow manages to keep a nice standard. Love the Kartoffel soup with a nice beer before long flights. It represents so much of an emotional food memory. I do recomend it over many other fancy places.
