Very tasty food. We had ramen and a bowl. Everything was fresh and the portions are absolutely ok. The price-performance ratio is right. Happy to come back!

Convinced me to eat more ranen, miso was delicious!

I've been to a lot of Japanese restaurants, but it's never felt as authentic as this. The shop and the facility itself, the incredibly friendly staff and of course the food. We had sushi and takoyaki for starters, tonkotsu and shoyu ramen for mains. The broths were very intense, the pork belly came in neat, juicy pieces (in most restaurants you only get thin slices of it). I was just passing through, but if I lived in Cologne, the restaurant would have found a new regular in me.

Small but great sushi restaurant in the middle of Cologne city. When it comes to sushi in particular, it is at the absolute top level and it is even prepared with a lot of love. Absolutely recommended!!!

Decent food, small outlet, the staff is courteous- they didn't have card payment but luckily agreed to accept PayPal.

I ordered miso soup and crispy duck with rice as a main course - both were very tasty. Only the spinach cooked with it was a bit too salty for me.

I think the food is very tasty and the prices are fair for what you get. The service is also very friendly. However, it is absurd not to accept card payments at the end of 2024. For this reason I will unfortunately not come again.

Sushi was very good. But the dining area doesn't seem so clean. There was still a leaf blower on two tables, which was then put away at some point as instructed

Very tasty food, but the service is sometimes very overwhelmed, mixes things up and doesn't have all the tables on screen, even though the number of tables is manageable. And even if it has nothing to do with the food, do you have to wait tables on Sunday evenings in sweatpants and have contact with guests like that? I find it somehow very sad and as Karl Lagerfeld said: "Anyone who leaves the house in sweatpants has lost control of their life..." But that's just my personal opinion. ;)

Super delicious ramen and bowls! Spicy Tonkatsu with Tantan was to die for! The home-made iced teas are also very popular recommend. The matcha ice cream wasn't to my taste, but still quite good. The ambience looks nicer in the photos than it actually is. Absolutely recommended because of the delicious food.

NO CREDIT CARDS. Do not be fooled by the credit card terminals, they only take German debit cards or cash. The servers working the night I went seemingly fought over who would have to serve me (since I don’t speak German and they both had poor English.) I offered to use Google Translate to make it easier for everyone, but they weren’t having it. I am accustomed to the differences in restaurant culture between Germany and the US, with German servers not checking on you every 10 minutes. They checked on the German speaking tables to my left and right but would ignore my eye contact and my small waves. It made the mediocre food that much more disappointing.

I think the restaurant is wonderful. I recommend everyone to visit the restaurant. The food tastes enchantingly good.

The best sushi I've eaten in my life. The food is extremely high quality. Everything was freshly prepared and was convincing. There are also many options for vegetarians and vegans. The food was beautifully prepared and all the staff were very friendly. All in all a great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Daimyo is a really good sushi restaurant. We recently dined here and ordered both sushi and main courses. It was delicious! Prices are reasonable, service is good. I can recommend this restaurant.

Tasty and reasonably priced food. The plate is also picturesque for all the insta foodies out there. 🍣 I highly recommend the crispy roll. They're delicious. The iced tea is also quite nice!

Unfortunately that was NOTHING, I don't think the ratings of 4.7 are correct 😂, sushi with no taste and very little fish and VERY small, everything else...really didn't look good and didn't taste good at all.

The restaurant offers delicious sushi, which we enjoy again and again. The owner is super friendly and creates a great atmosphere. The prices are affordable, especially for the high quality of the food. Added to this is the great location of the restaurant. A visit here is always a pleasure and we look forward to continuing to enjoy the delicious dishes!

The food is actually good - but as a company I recommend giving the restaurant a wide berth! No credit cards are accepted - as far as is understandable, at least it is advertised at the entrance. If you try to pay in cash, you will only be presented with a consumption receipt. Despite electronic receipt, it takes a full 15 minutes (?) to print the receipt. This consumption receipt is worthless as a company - a blatantly obvious attempt to evade taxes. The whole thing was observed at three tables, so it's a common scam. The authorities should pay a visit to the store - as an honest taxpayer I feel ripped off!

I had the Classic Ramen with Chasu. It was the best ramen I've eaten so far :) Highly recommended.

At the recommendation of a friend, we went there to eat ramen. We weren't disappointed. It was really delicious, and the sushi that my daughter ordered was delicious and presented so lovingly and beautifully. The homemade iced teas with Macha were also delicious and we will be back. Excellent ramen, hearty, large portion, tasty meat, tasty vegetables, were very satisfied with the dinner. Among the disadvantages - you can only pay with cash or EC card, which was somewhat inconvenient, because we had to go to the ATM, although we were already supposed to go. Unfortunately, there is no warning about this anywhere, and the situation had to be resolved after the fact.

Very kind servers, food was great, i had miso ramen, friend had a sushi roll Sex on the beach, also yuzu ice tee. All of it was great. Down to earth prices. I didnt notice on the pictures beforehand, but you can sit outside as well.

Very full and very tasty! Staff tried very hard, but since card payments are unfortunately only possible from 20 euros and only Girocard/Maestro is accepted and no credit card payments, I unfortunately have to deduct 2 stars! Hopefully this restaurant will arrive soon in 2010!

There are nicer restaurants in the area. The vegetarian chili ramen soup was delicious, would like more vegetables in the future. The price was okay. The service was rather unmotivated, serving the tables not in the order in which people came, but rather in the order in which people sat near them. When he asked if we were ready and we said yes, he first flicked trash into our plates that he was carrying. That was uncomfortable. It was also unpleasant that the waiters repeatedly asked if we could pay in cash just because the owner preferred that. If you offer card payment, shouldn't you also accept guests who want to pay by card?

We were here for the first time and absolutely loved it! The service was incredibly nice and the sushi was truly the best thing we've eaten since. It was also very nicely presented. We will definitely be back soon!

We visited this great restaurant on a weekend trip to Cologne. As soon as we walked in we were impressed by the atmosphere it offers. The employees were very friendly. The menu offers something for every taste and has a selection of ramen, sushi and many other specialties. We found the prices on the menu to be more than reasonable. But when the food came we were thrilled. It is so lovingly prepared that you hardly dare to destroy the work of art in front of you. Once you've done it, you'll simply be amazed by the taste. I have visited the restaurant many times and from the moment I entered the stylishly decorated restaurant I felt welcome and in good hands. The ambience is stylish and appropriately decorated for a Japanese restaurant. You will be greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening. Of particular note was the sushi, which was not only incredibly fresh but also artfully presented. Every bite was a little masterpiece. I was also impressed by the service in Daimyo. Our waitress was able to give us excellent advice on the choice of food and drinks and contributed significantly to our positive experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a relaxed dinner in Cologne. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!☺️
