Kuchi Mami in Köln

A beautiful presentation of the delicious food and pleasant staff made Kuchi Mami a great place to visit for sushi and Asian fusion.

The food was really very tasty. The price is a bit higher. The restaurant and toilets didn't look very clean. The service was a bit slow. We wouldn't come back.

Ich hatte die Sushi Platte für eine Person. Es war klasse. Toll angerichtet und sehr lecker. Verschiedene Sorten, tolle Deko und das zu einem passenden Preis. Der Service war sehr freundlich, ich war sehr zufrieden!

17 Sushi gibt’s zusammengestellt vom Küchenchef für 24,-€, teils kross zubereitet und teils roh, auf vietnamesische Art des Hauses. Anders als ich es sonst von besuchten Japanern in D’dorf kenne und dort sehr schätze, allerdings auch wohlschmeckend, vernünftig portioniert, sättigend und ansprechend präsentiert. Ich war mit meiner Wahl zufrieden und die jungen Gäste um mich herum wirkten von ihrer eigenen Wahl - gut vernehmlich - ebenfalls angetan. Preis/Leistung stimmt.

Wonderfull little Thai fusion restaurant, heavily visited by the lunch crowd, which is always a good sign. The food here is magnificent. Very flavourful, and plates are richly stacked. Anything with duck is recommended, but the dumpling were tasty aswell. Make sure you come in time, because the restaurant fills up quickly

Very tasty, ordered 3 sets, made quickly in 10 minutes

The fried chicken from the starter menu was to die for, I've never eaten better anywhere. The breading is very well seasoned, very crispy and the sauce that comes with it was also fantastic.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere seemed uninviting and a bit dingy. The sushi platter for 4 people consists mainly of decoration and offers so little that hardly anyone was full. In addition, it cost €70.00 and was therefore a punch in the stomach. A no-go for me!

High quality sushi! I like it when the fish is at room temperature and not from the fridge. Despite the touristic environment close to the Dom, the restaurant can be recommended.

A very nice place , went on date with my gf there and the food was amazing , the prices wore ok i guess ? by german standards at lest but it was worth it .

We spontaneously requested a table by email on Friday morning and received confirmation of our booking shortly afterwards. After our arrival at Cologne train station, we arrived at the restaurant a few minutes on foot. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating and we were rewarded with delicious cocktails and exceptionally good sushi. The restaurant is recommended in all respects. Thanks for the great evening. We'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious, but the service was very poor. Service didn't even come to the table once, we always had to get to them independently even though the shop was almost empty at the end.

Extremely good sushi in an authentic atmosphere

I had sushi here and I really liked it. The sushi was fresh and tasty, especially the one with tuna was fantastic. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. I spent a nice evening with my friends. The staff were very nice and made the experience even more pleasant made

Amazing Asian fusion meal. I had the grilled butterfish then marinated in a hot pot with fresh crisp vegetables. Served with a bowl of jasmine rice. My wife ordered the Hanoi spring rolls with shrimp and a hoisin peanut dipping sauce. She also had a bowl of hot and sour soup laden with fresh crisp vegetables and just the correct balance of sweet and sour. One of the best and most savory meals I’ve had on world travels.

This is my absolute favourite place to go to when visiting Cologne. The Menu is very simple, but theres still something for everyone. Everything ive tried tasted great. The staff is always friendly. And the best thing is, its only a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral/main station.

Just an impudence, thank you for NOTHING!!! Yesterday I wanted to eat there again with my two children aged 5+7, the children love the Black & White dessert and also the sushi. We went to Cologne Cathedral just because of this restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant, we went straight to the toilets to at least wash our hands. A pretty angry employee came and hissed at us that the toilets were only for those who eat there. I told him we wanted to eat there too. He then really wanted to know where we were sitting. I showed him the table outside so that we would like to sit there. This employee didn't let go and kept talking in a very aggressive tone so that we weren't sitting there and all in English. I asked him to say in German what his problem was and why he was so rude and attacked us for no reason They just want to go to the toilet first. Unfortunately it was not possible to have a normal conversation with this gentleman, he was so convinced that we just wanted to use his toilet that he didn't stop speaking to us in English. This whole scenario was so unpleasant that I decided to leave, we were only 2 steps from the door. My children were just shocked, as was I, and my little son burst into tears after we got outside. I have never experienced such rude treatment. I'm very sorry for my children! Thanks for nothing!!! We will no longer support this store from now on.

Pretty restaurant with delicious fusion dishes and sushi. A lot of effort goes into the preparation. The potions aren't the biggest, but the prices are okay (especially for the location at the cathedral). My in-laws' various allergies were patiently addressed. My personal highlight was the black sticky rice, because you rarely get it in Germany.

Beautiful place, really nice food and staff

One day in Cologne and decided to visit this restaurant based on the good reviews. I was not disappointed at all. Had a nice and lovely lunch here. The place is cozy and intimate with comfortable seating. The staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent. I tried one of their roles and liked it. The fish were both fresh and very delicious. Recommended 👍🏼

What a delighful lunch under the fresh air at their outdoor area. The food are great and we love them. The fried wonton and chicken karage were so crispy and tasted good. My beef pho noodle was delicious with a big portion and many beef slices on top. Very reccomended👌

Little out of the way place with great food! It was very busy during Gamescom but they managed to get all out without too much delay and a smile. But the food was king! Their soups and special rolls I liked best. Thanks for a great night

It was a great place to have Asian fusion food ! There is sushi noodles and rice dishes with nice selection of tea and drinks. We had good food and good survive. We had sushimi and honey glazed duck with 2 drinks and appertiters it cost us around to 56 euros ! Very close to the Dom .. highly recommended

Pedimos de entrante unos rollitos que parecían envueltos en plástico transparente, y además insípidos. La tempura de langostinos y el wanton no estaban mal. Como platos principales tomamos sumergido rollito (bueno), Bun Bo Nam Do y Crispí Chicken, estos dos últimos malísimos. De hecho hicimos algo que no nos gusta hacer, que es dejarnos mucha comida en el plato por lo poco que nos gustaba. El precio por persona, con bebida incluida, fue de unos 20€, pero francamente hay mejores formas de gastarlos.

I can't understand the good reviews it has. As a starter we ordered some rolls that looked like they were wrapped in transparent plastic, and were also tasteless. The prawn tempura and the wanton were not bad. As main courses we had dipped roll (good), Bun Bo Nam Do and Crispí Chicken, the latter two being very bad. In fact, we did something we don't like to do, which is leave a lot of food on our plates because we didn't like it. The price per person, including drinks, was about €20, but frankly there are better ways to spend it.

There are about 4 options for mains, but they have a variety for sushi and drinks. We ordered the grilled salmon with veg and the beef pho. Both were tasty and had big portions. It was probably one of the best meals we had in Koln for a good price. It was quite a hot day when we visited so we opted to sit outside. Although we are next to the main road, we had a relaxed meal. The only thing I did not like much was how we were told we won't be served because we brought bottled water with us. In the end, all was alright after explaining that we are not drinking that whilst in the restaurant.

Japanese restaurant with quaint atmosphere and decent menu selection. Food was quick and tasty with great presentation. They don't really have too many rolls, but have a breadth that includes things like Pho. They have only one sake and it's hot. Prices are decent. Parking is non-existent, but that's true for all the places around the dom.

The best sushi in whole Germany! We always order our favourite sushi “Inside out sake” and very delicious non-alc drink “Geisha” 🩷 I recommend you all to try it 🫶 We are coming from other city only for the BEST SUSHI🍣

A cute Asian convenience store, high to the ceiling, very tidy.

Good non Japanese food. We are very spoiled have been to Japan three times so recognise good pure Japanese food. Staff are Vietnamese. Not saying you can't get good Japanese food by non Japanese, just can hear the difference between the two languages. Honey Crispy Duck, way too salty. Had Beef Pho curry . A mix between a non spicy laksa and a pho! Good portion sizes. Good prices. English spoken. 1 beer and a ginger tea. Bill came to €38.

Good food, no fuss. The Fried wontons, crispy chicken in Hoisin sauce was amazing. The maki rolls were also equally delicious. The Kuchi tea is sublime!!!

A small and cozy Asian restaurant in the city center, near the cathedral. The food tasted good, but it didn't come at the same time, even though there were four of us. Unfortunately, the hygiene left a lot to be desired, especially the toilets were not clean. So I probably won't go there a second time.

I had a tofu curry. That was excellent. 😋

Nel locale si respira un’atmosfera tranquilla, ottima per conversare e con possibilità di mangiare all’esterno. Piatti abbondanti e gustosi: una nota di merito ai noodles in latte di cocco. Peccato per i tovaglioli, che mancavano. Nel complesso prezzo esagerato per l’acqua (più di 5€ per 0,75 ml), onesto invece per le portate.

The portion was too small for me the first time. I missed the dressing on the salad. The sauce was delicious. The service was very friendly, but we always had to wait a long time. I think the restaurant could have made more sales. 😅 I would come back to try another dish.

We went here for dinner and we were thoroughly disappointed. Chicken undercooked, very questionable sushi and poor service. Many other sushi restaurants in the area, I’d definitely pick a different one in future.

We wanted to eat Asian food and were really pleasantly surprised by the presentation and the taste. It was super tasty, authentic and beautifully prepared. If we are here again we will come back!!

Food here was a really nice surprise, I had Saigon summer rolls, papaya salad and karaag chicken and if course a kolsch beer all tasty with good flavors. Pleasant service. All in all a a place where you want to come back for more…

I went to dinner with my girlfriend. As a starter we had the Hanoi spring rolls. Unfortunately, I personally didn't like these at all, as all the juiciness of summer rolls is lost when they are deep-fried. I also received a used plate, which was replaced upon request. For the main course we had the platter for two, which was really great. The sushi tasted very good and is worth recommending. However, it didn't blow me away either. A good 7/10.

The food was okay for the price. However, we had to wait over 2 hours for our main courses, while the starter plates weren't even cleared away. The store wasn't very busy. It's a shame, we really expected more.

Locale piccolino ma che offre un Sushi-Fusion molto accurato. Non riuscirei a riportare i nomi dei vari piatti ma ci ha pienamente soddisfatti.

A surprise very close to Cologne Cathedral! The food and the drinks we ordered were a taste experience. Very friendly service and chefs who know their craft.

The establishment was filled with dust, and it seemed that they hadn't cleaned it for a while, especially the restrooms. The fish on the sushi smelled bad, and as soon as we tasted it, we left. The waiter asked us if we wanted to take the rest with us, but we said no.

I urgently had to go to the toilet in the city and politely asked if I could go for a moment. Was rudely thrown out

Vorweg: Es sollte reserviert werden! Das ist über den Online-Auftritt des Restaurants problemlos möglich. Es wird neben den obligatorischen Stäbchen ungefragt auch "normales" Besteck gereicht. Wir waren zu dritt und bestellten uns die Sushi-Platte für 3 Personen. Die Präsentation war der Hammer! Die Qualität der Variationen sehr gut und die Menge mehr als ausreichend. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt. Was nicht ganz passt ist der Zustand des Interieurs. Dieses ist, wohlwollend ausgedrückt, etwas verlebt, hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Wände und Ecken sollten keine Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt werden. Für das Essen gibt es ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ von mir. Für das Gesamterlebnis einen weniger.

The Kuchi Mami is very centrally located near the main train station and cathedral. I found the seating inside to be a bit tight, but in my experience this is similar in most restaurants. The employees tried very hard to serve quickly and well, the food tasted very good. The dishes without sushi were also excellent. The honey duck, for example, was extremely praised in our group. The sushi was excellent, very fresh and beautifully laid out on the plate.

Very good Asian restaurant with a large selection, including vegan options. We were here with 6 people and everyone was very enthusiastic about the food - we will definitely be back. The service was good, but an additional waitress would certainly be good.
