Un lugar bastante normal. No dejó muy buena impresión. El servicio estaba bien, pero la comida era decepcionante y mediocre. No cumplió con nuestras expectativas según los buenos comentarios en TripAdvisor.

The restaurant was right away from our hotel and we went there for dinner in the evening. The ambience is nice, the service was nice, the food was good. However, there are no soups on the menu, so we had to use our smartphone to go online. The other guests also noticeably had the problem. Also, the menu in the restaurant is a bit confusing. The online menu, on the other hand, is clear and understandable.

Das Restaurant war unmittelbar von unserem Hotel entfernt und sind dort abends zum Essen gegangen. Die Ambiente ist schön, die Bedienung nett, das Essen war gut. Allerdings sind keine Suppen auf der Speisekarte verzeichnet, sodass wir mit unserem Smartphone aufs Internet ausweichen mussten. Das Problem hatten merklich auch die anderen Gäste. Außerdem ist die Speisekarte im Restaurant etwas verwirrend. Die Speisekarte im Internet dagegen ist klar und verständlich abgebildet.

We ate there at lunch. The waiter said no thai food and no naan at lunch (wasn’t written anywhere). We ordered the butter chicken and chicken madras. The butter chicken tasted of tomato sauce, nothing else. The chicken madras wasn’t good either, it was pretty tasteless. Both sauces were a little too watery for my liking. The portions were ok for the price. I expected more from all good reviews i read.

The Curry Lounge has been one of my absolute favorite addresses in Hamburg for years. The warmth of the owners and their enormous attention to us as regular customers was and is amazing right from the start. We are happy that they survived the Corona period and that their enormous investments in the ambience can finally pay off. The food is of a consistently high level of quality and tastes fantastic. I can really recommend a visit to all readers and I am already looking forward to my next visit there.

The two of us were on vacation in Hamburg and were looking for a good Asian restaurant around 8 p.m. We found what we were looking for on Google Maps. They were mostly good reviews. Looks a bit too inconspicuous from the outside. We went to a packed restaurant on a Monday evening. Luckily there was a table available for us 😃. And ordered something from the large menu (approx. DIN A3). After about 20 minutes our food arrived. It was very tasty and filling. Nothing to complain about. Definitely a recommendation 👍 and definitely add the butter naan bread!

Lad dig ikke narre af en meget subtil indretning. Vi fik virkelig skøn og fantastisk mad. Wow, alt smagte fremragende. Servicen var god og afslappet atmosfære. 👌🏽 virkelig et godt familie sted ( vi havde endda vores lille hund med.)

It's been a long time since I've had such a delicious Indian meal. We came mainly for the peanut curry, highly recommended! The portions are nicely prepared and also sufficient.

We spontaneously went to the Curry Lounge for dinner early in the evening on Saturday. Starting with a very friendly welcome, continuing with competent advice on the choice of food and the really tasty food (we chose Thai), we can only say good things! Nice, courteous service and a great team! Thanks !

Sensationell. Ich hatte das Spicy Chicken. Dazu gab es noch ein Fladen/Knoblauch Brot. Alles sehr lecker. Jederzeit wieder. Leider war nicht viel los aber ich war auch etwas früh am Abend vor Ort (18 Uhr) da ich beruflich in Hamburg war und anders keine Zeit gefunden habe.

This little shop is more than inconspicuous...a friendly boss who welcomes the customers and takes them to the available seats. Special requests were taken into account. The food was a blast... Chicken Tandori Curry... pleasant spiciness throughout and, above all, fresh ingredients. Crispy papadums with various dips. ....in short, extremely tasty

Super tasty, inexpensive food! We had butter chicken and fried noodles with vegetables and chicken - both absolutely delicious! The service was also super friendly and the food came really quickly! I would have said a maximum of 10 minutes after ordering our food was there :) Free ouzo after the meal and we were even able to take the leftover samosa with us with sauce :)

Wow, super tasty. In my humble opinion, the best Indian food in Germany so far. The pakora was fried to perfection and the breading was absolutely tasty. The naan bread came to the table super fresh and hot. The Vindaloo lamb was tender and the spiciness was perfect for me. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Were there on August 8th, just after 10 p.m. Even though the kitchen was actually about to close, we were warmly invited. The atmosphere is absolutely fine, the boss is super nice and the food exceeded our expectations. Portions are more than sufficient, prices are absolutely top for Hamburg standards. Food like in Thailand, location a bit out of the way but therefore quieter, it wasn't very busy, but the food can't be the reason for that, if I'm ever in Hamburg I'll come back.

The spritzes aren't bad either. Nice and welcoming environment. Fair prices, also because with 30 euros maximum you leave packed.

I come from southern Germany and have been to this restaurant before in 2021. Now, in 2024, I was back in Hamburg and really wanted to go back. It's super tasty, very fresh and not very expensive. The only negative point is the somewhat musty toilets. I wish the operator would also open a restaurant in southern Germany.

Excellent family owned restaurant! We had butter chicken, curry chicken, vegetarian buryani and Daal, each of which were all absolutely delicious and only cost between 11-14€. Food was served quickly and staff were very friendly and checked up on several times. Can definitely recommend.

As an absolute lover of Thai and Indian food, I am always looking for restaurants that use authentic ingredients. We were warmly welcomed by Dhawan Manish in the Curry Lounge and had great conversations with him about cuisine and food. Our food came very quickly and was absolutely delicious. Really authentic herbs and spices are used here. Thank you for the delicious food! It's a shame that we were only visiting Hamburg - we would like to eat and enjoy here much more often. The Curry Lounge is definitely recommended.
