Crazy Nate’s OG/Wöhrd in Nürnberg

I came-in from a long train ride with two young kids. Was awesome. Would ovcourse recommend it for adults alike. Take your time and look around, let it sink-in. Drink and chill.

Food was very tasty. Had tacos/burritos/nachos basically across the menu. Reservation via Google worked perfectly. Personally, the shop was too dark for me (I like to see what I'm eating :) ), further deduction for the lack of draft Pilsner. For a quick, tasty snack but a safe bench or snowboards

Mega store, great atmosphere with a lot of attention to detail 💖 and the food is fantastic. Reminded me a lot of Mexico 👍🏽

Great food! The eclectic punk ambience was an amazing American reprieve from German life. The burritos were flavorful and authentic. The salsa bar was a wonderful addition! The frozen lemonade was worth flying across the world for hands down!! Would totally recommend stopping here!

A Very good take on Mexican street food and Burritos. Punk rock/skater vibe won’t be every one’s taste and Nate is unapologetically ok with that. Food is great. Restaurant clean. Prices fair. Food fresh. Worth a visit. Also Nate’s English is impeccable-even though he’s from the semi-independent dystopia of Portland.

Good tacos and normally you don't have to wait long to eat, which makes the restaurant a good place for a quick snack but not more than that. I've been there twice and both times the staff seemed somehow annoyed and really impatient.

Food is good, fatty and always sufficient, you can't say anything about that. But the attitude of the employees, the refusal to speak German and the fuss is simply inappropriate and just annoying. The woman can speak German and speaks English to us. That's not "hip" or "cool", that's annoying. I speak English fluently, but why do I have to complicate the ordering process just to fit in the West Coast Ami stuff? If your unique selling point is the lack of basic German skills, I am happy to forego a visit. Unfortunately, there is a massive lack of good Mexican food in Nuremberg. I still don't want to go to Crazy Nates anymore. LG.

A great Mexican! The food is very tasty and the vegetarian selection is great :) I ordered something to pick up and found the service to be very friendly. Indoor and outdoor areas are very inviting. The food was of course fantastic, I can definitely recommend the taco with Smokey Citrus Tofu and Spicy Sour Cream, as well as the San Francisco Style and the PDX Style Burrito.

This place is awesome... I am a Long Beach, CA native and this felt like I stepped off the street of Germany into a place I would see back home. Great food and fantastic Margheritas.

Super tasty burritos. You can't go wrong with anyone. San Francisco is my favorite. When it comes to tacos, I find the version with tofu surprisingly good. Is an alternative if you don't just want to eat meat. You can treat yourself to macho as a side dish if you are not eating alone. Service is friendly. But you should be aware that you have to order effectively in English. Maybe it's not for everyone. But that shouldn't stop anyone.

It was the perfect decision to go to Crazy Nate's for dinner. My sister happened to be in the area and of course we took the opportunity and went out for a bite to eat together. My girlfriend really wanted to go out for Mexican food. This should also turn out to be the perfect decision. Initially we wanted to go to the Mexican chain, which is named after a well-known Mexican dish that starts with E and ends with nchilada. However, all three of us were shocked when we saw the prices on the memory card... a fajita €35... that can't be right. As an alternative we found Crazy Nate's. Prices seemed more than fair and the pictures on Google were also promising. So a table was reserved straight away, which we really should have done, and the evening was planned! When we got there we ordered at the counter and got our piper. We paid around €65 for 3 tacos, 2 quesadillas with chicken + 1 chilli cheese quesadilla, a large portion of nachos and 3 drinks. We got full without any problems. The food was super tasty, fresh and really perfect. They didn't skimp on the portions either and we were absolutely happy! I would come here again and again and can fully recommend Crazy Nate's!

Really very tasty tacos in an authentic restaurant - I just think the waiting time of +20 minutes for 4 tacos is too long (the restaurant is about 1/2 full)

Really a cool shop, it feels like it has everything you could imagine as typically American. The food was really good, you just need to know a little English and that shouldn't be a problem.

Ordered 2 tacos to go. Waited 1.5 hours. As a nice compensation there was a short “Sorry guys” instead of a drink or snack on the house. There was a quiz night, so the restaurant was full of people, but still...it was just two basic tacos that were carelessly thrown into a cardboard box. It can't take that long. Then I thought to myself, maybe drinking is more important than eating here. But 0.3L Margarita, which is how much fits into the ToGo plastic cup, costs a whopping €9. Absolute joke XD

10/10 tacos. Super tasty and nice flair. My favorite are the “Crazy Nate’s Tacos” with cactus. The quesadilla and the dips are also top notch. Has its own beer, which is produced by Schanzenbräu. Always my pleasure.

Fresh little shop. Food was top. Better than most Mexican restaurants. Margaritas were tasty. You should have a slight knowledge of English to order. Very friendly staff, only one point deducted for service because it was self-service. Which isn't a bad thing. Were satisfied.

Crazy Nate's is a great restaurant to visit and as authentic as it gets if u want to eat Californian/Mexican food. My family and I loved it. Thank you for making my Son remember Cali 🥹🙂 Of course we will visit again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nice concept and good food. But: considering that I have to do everything myself (from ordering at the counter to clearing the table), the prices are really high. Beer 5 euros, cocktail (unfortunately it didn't taste good at all 9 euros), 1 TACO 3-4 euros (just 2.3 bites)…

The food was super delicious! Real original tacos with an intense taste. There are also glass water bottles and sauces inside that you can just take some of, which is great! Normal water should really be offered everywhere. Definitely come often! The staff is really nice and you're in a good mood there

I went there with my brother for the first time and really liked it. We ordered Nachos and street tacos. I had to go a second time because the food was really good. The food was ready really fast. Taco Tuesday is also a good option because the street tacos are cheaper if you eat in the restaurant and order a drink.

I literally dreamed of the food here last night and thought “how have I not left a review already?” If you haven’t eaten here yet, then what are you doing with your life? The best tacos on this side of the ocean 100%, but trust me it doesn’t just stop at the tacos. Great atmosphere, awesome staff, and always feel welcomed. Great dinner experience! Food tastes great, nicely seasoned and ingridients feel fresh. We were generally impressed by the weight and amount of filling that the chef wrapped in a burrito, true showcase of a craftsmanship. The Death Valley is the spiciest burrito and man.. I do love spicy food but that thing is reeaally spicy.. Overall great dining experience as this is one of those places where you will happily be up for staying for another beer with your homies and having some post-dinner ciggies and chats. Totally recommend it as its run by locals for the locals. Will come next time to try out some more tacos!

There are now two Nate's in Nuremberg, both locations are not very big, we were (first) at the newer location, near Wöhrder See.. three things in advance, due to the space available, a reservation is recommended, you should be able to communicate in English and love the charm of alternative American surf punk TexMex shops! The skateboard axle as a door handle in the toilet should be a little pointer. 😉 The order is placed at the counter and paid for straight away. When the assigned star is called from the kitchen you can get your food! The menu is available via QR code or on the wall (picture) and goes right through the wonderland of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. with original creations that you can also combine yourself! Yummy. There is no drinks menu, what is available is presented above the counter, including our own beer (from Schanzen Bräu, delicious!). You clear the dishes yourself, the music rocks and there is a TV screen. The only negative point for me is that the overall area is unfortunately quite small, but if you have your table you can have a great time at Nate's. On a side note: you can buy your own merch items and hot sauces! 😃 I'm now excited to visit the first Crazy Nate's!

I really love the vibe and the food.... Finally a place which isn't fancy but the food is.... I have been to many Mexican restaurants in the pursuit of finding good food but failed badly. This one is edgy but different in good ways from interior aesthetics to their lemonades... Very 70's skateboarding vibes in there...

As someone who is from Texas, I was highly disappointed by this place when I got there. Leading up to it I was somewhat excited to go, hearing that it was Baja Mexican food. When I got there I was met with a very plain menu of burritos, some tacos, and misc other items. But somehow this "Baja" restaurant missed one of the biggest staples of the cuisine, QUESO. How does any self respecting restaurant that is literally only serving Mexican food not have queso??? I got a San Francisco burrito, it was sub par. Tasted bland, and the addition of their sauces didn't do a damn thing for the taste. We got chips with our order, and those tasted like they came out of a bag 3 weeks ago. A $8 margarita was in a glass that seemed smaller than a normal cocktail... Bottom line, don't waste your money or time. Seems they reported my last review, probably don’t like having an actual honest review.

Leider nicht das, was man erwartet. Hoch gelobt als klassische (Latein -)amerikanische Küche einmal ausprobiert. Die Burritos waren fad, die Guacamole auch. Das Ambiente war eher Standard. Dann doch eher ins Boogies in Nürnberg.

Schönes mexikanisches Lokal mit authentischer Küche und einer echt coolen Einrichtung. Die Tacos waren sehr gut, ebenso wie die Macho Nachos (welche super für Gruppen geeignet sind). Insgesamt ein runder und gelungener Abend, gerne wieder!

You want the best 🌯 in town? You go to Nate's. It's that easy. The margaritas are awesome as well. Time from order to takeout? 10 minutes on a Friday evening. Fast as hell.

Sehr leckeres Essen, super Auswahl für Vegetarier. Essen ist sehr schnell fertig. Wenig Service da Selbstbedienung - was aber zum Ladenkonzept genau passt. Das Ambiente ist super, allerdings werden die stylischen Bänke schnell unbequem. Also nichts um den ganzen Abend dort zu verweilen.

Had a great dinner last night before a comedy show. We tried both the street and crazy nates style tacos and thought that both were excellent, the beef ones were especially good. Probably the best atmosphere of a restaurant that I've been to in NBG.

Super freundlich und entgegen den Bewertungen konnte ich deutscher Sprache bestellen. Die Burrito Auswahl ist der Hammer und die Soßenauswahl ist top.

I love that there is initiative to start different kinds of food establishments in Nbg - this is much appreciated and needed. The highlight here are the margaritas- the best I’ve tasted outside of the USA. Unfortunately the food is generally overpriced for the quality in both ingredients and taste. It’s also annoying that after queuing up, ordering food at the counter you get asked if you want to add a tip on top of the price - in advance of tasting the food and there is no service, you have to order at the counter, pick up your food (screaming a name over super loud music) and clear your food away yourself. In the restaurant in Johannis the guy behind the counter was doing nothing, but was very happy to scream across the whole restaurant at someone to clear their table. I understand tips are shared across staff and I have no issue with tipping for service, but when I see such minimal service effort + already overpriced TexMex, I’m wondering if the total cost is worth the experience.

Self service, but the food is amazing

Im großen und ganzen super gutes Essen. Die Tortilla-Chips sind sehr gut, die Tacos sind auch klasse, ich persönlich finde die Burritos am besten, super zart und einfach ein Geschmackserlebnis. Die frozen Margarita ist auch super, die ist auch immer ein Muss beim Besuch.

Hailing from San Diego we were hoping to find a taste of home and we…..almost…..found it at Nate’s. At least there were hints of it in the corn tortillas and salsa. The meat dishes tasted more like they all had taco seasoning on them but the nopales were excellent and the serving of nachos was plenty with lots of toppings. The guy behind the counter wouldn’t do himself any harm if he was just a touch more friendly instead of the cool cat attitude tbh and what’s with the ultra loud music? I mean I really enjoyed hearing some 80s rap but I also like to have a conversation while I’m eating…you know….talk about which taco we will try next and ‘what do you think about the salsa?’….maybe that’s just me. Maybe we will be back when we have a craving for ‘almost authentic’ west coast Mexican food!

Gute Tacos und Burritos netter Service auf Englisch, bunt und laut. Ein schönes Erlebnis.

Cooler Laden mit tollem Konzept und überzeugender, kulinarischer Qualität. Quesadillas und Burritos sind mengenmäßiog mehr als ausreichend und geschmacklich wirklich sehr gut. Man merkt hinsichtlich des mexican streetfood, dass jemand Erfahrung mit dieser Art Essen hat. Preislich sind Speisen und Getränke auch vollkommen im Rahmen. Das Ambiente ist möglicherweise nicht jedermenschs Sache, aber damit muss mal rechnen, wenn man in einem solchen Laden speisen möchte.

This place is incredible. The serve amazing food in a setting that will make you feel like you're not in some non-descript German neighborhood. Fantastic experience, and well worth a trip to Nuremberg.

Definitely go. A little walk from the centre but we’ll worth it. We got there about 30 mins after opening and was pleasantly surprised that we got a table without any issues. Ordered at the counter with a chap who’s English was much better than my German! Frozen Margaritas lovely. Food fab. Prices great. Music and vibe exceptional. Defo give it a go!
