Crazy Nate’s OG/Wöhrd in Nürnberg

Saftladen. Essen ist okay, aber viel zu teuer. Habe Tacos bestellt für 5€ (es war nur einer, obwohl die Mehrzahl ausgeschrieben ist). Burritos sind richtig klein geworden, der Preis ist hoch. Wenn man vor Ort isst, wird nichts abgeräumt & das Essen muss man auch selber holen. Zum Schluss versteh ich, dass die englische Sprache den Laden authentischer macht, jedoch seh ich‘s als ne Frechheit kein Deutsch zu sprechen.

Sehr kleine Portionen. Ein Taco kostet 4,50€. Im vorhinein wird einem nicht mitgeteilt dass es wirklich nur ein einziger Taco ist und auf der Speisekarte steht auch deutlich Tacos (also mehrzahl) drauf. Wer also wirklich satt werden möchte soll da nicht hin. Nicht zu empfehlen!!!

Wenn es 0 Sterne geben würde, würde ich das wählen. Der Preis für ein Taco ist lächerlich. Wenn ihr Hunger habt dann geht lieber ins Chilli‘s, dann werdet ihr auch satt. Die Preise sind gottlos, man wird abgezockt. KEINE WEITEREMPFEHLUNG!!!!

Tolles Ambiente und wir haben uns wirklich wie in einem mexi-californian Restaurant am Strand gefühlt… leckeres Essen und nettes Personal! Gern wieder.

Ich hatte einen richtig tollen Abend in diesem Restaurant! Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und die Getränke auch. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gab auch eine große Auswahl an Brettspielen, die man während der Wartezeit spielen konnte, was die Atmosphäre noch angenehmer machte. Ich kann dieses Restaurant absolut empfehlen!

Oh mein Gott, es war so schlecht! Ich hatte noch nie zuvor mexikanisch gegessen, aber selbst ich kann mir vorstellen, dass es nicht so schlimm sein sollte. Ich bestellte einen Taco für 5 Euro und erwartete etwas so Großes wie einen Döner. Stattdessen bekam ich fast nichts, und das war nicht mal ein richtiger Taco! Das Brot lag unter den Zutaten auf einem Teller, und alles schmeckte so fade und widerlich. Danach bestellte ich eine Quesadilla für 12 Euro mit Kaktus (?), und die war noch schlimmer. Sie war kalt, und die Zutaten waren widerlicher als alles, was ich je gegessen habe. Wenn ich Mexikaner wäre, würde ich mich niemals so repräsentieren lassen wollen. -2/10.

Mal was anderes als die üblichen deutschen oder italienischen Restaurants. Die Burritos und Tacos sind ordentlich gefüllt und machen richtig satt. Geschmacklich fand ich es authentisch, zumindest anders als das, was man sonst oft bekommt. Die Atmosphäre ist locker und ein bisschen amerikanisch angehaucht. Perfekt für einen schnellen, aber guten Lunch. Preise gehen auch klar.

Sehr nett. Wir haben heute über Lieferando bestellt und hatten leider Probleme mit der Lieferadresse, was mein Fehler war. Die Bestellung musste daher storniert werden. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und verständnisvoll und haben die Situation professionell gelöst. Vielen Dank für den tollen Service und es tut uns sehr leid für die Unannehmlichkeiten! <3

Wir lieben den Laden, Preise sind schon heftig aber das Essen ist einfach Bombe. Das Ambiente sowieso. Essen dauert nicht lange aber man kann in der Zwischenzeit ein Spiel spielen finde ich hammer.

Ich habe mir an einem Stand-up-Comedy-Abend Tacos und einen Burrito geholt. Tolle Atmosphäre, das Essen ist okay, der Laden ist gemütlich, aber er ist schnell voll, daher ist eine Reservierung immer besser.

Sehr leckere und authentische mexikanische Küche mit Quesadillas, Tacos, Burritos und mehr. Die Salsa Verde isr zum Niederknien. Der Frozen classic margarita ist wirklich fast genau so gut wie in Mexico. Dazu ein sehr ungezwungenes und gemütliches Ambiente. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Das Essen war so lecker!! Ich würde am liebsten jeden Tag hier essen! Die Street Tacos, die Crazy Nates Tacos und die Quesadillas waren der Hammer! Auch die Margaritas waren super! Die Bedienung war total nett und hat uns tolle Empfehlungen gegeben, besonders Victòria!

Das beste Tex-Mex, das ich seit meinem Weggang aus Houston, Texas, gegessen habe. Das Personal ist professionell, das Essen war großartig, Ambiente und Musik waren FANTASTISCH!!! Wenn ihr Tex-Mex vermisst habt, fahrt unbedingt hier vorbei (ruft vielleicht vorher an) und lasst euch von diesen Leuten inspirieren. Sie machen es richtig!

Ein beliebter Treffpunkt, besonders am ersten Donnerstag im Monat, wenn das Pub-Quiz stattfindet. Wir kommen zwar nicht deswegen hierher, aber wir lieben auch die Margaritas, die Burritos und generell alle Spezialitäten der Tex-Mex-Küche. Vor Kurzem habe ich mir einen PDX Portland Burrito geholt (mit Bohnen, Reis, Kaktus, Käse, Sauerrahm, Koriander und Zwiebeln). Und wieder einmal war er superlecker. Er war groß, saftig und einfach köstlich. Ich werde sie alle irgendwann mal probieren.

Ein echt geiler, Irrer Laden 😊 muss man mal Besucht haben ….. Ambiente und Stimmung toll ! Bestellungen alles auf Englisch – aber kein Problem. Achso …. Das Essen = Saulecker, der Hammer 😊 Bis zum nächsten mal…..

Der Koch war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, erklärte uns die Gerichte und fragte, ob sie uns schmeckten! Man kann für den Preis auch sehr viele verschiedene Gerichte bestellen! Das Ambiente ist ebenfalls sehr angenehm, es gibt sogar Spiele gegen Bezahlung.

Nate ist echt ein super Typ, wir waren total begeistert von seinem mexikanischen Restaurant im Westküstenstil! Es war großartig und lecker, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder ❤️

Wir waren heute das erste Mal dort. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen war sehr lecker!

Mir hat das Lokal gefallen und das Essen war köstlich. Einziger Minuspunkt: Die Schüssel war sofort kalt und der Käse auf dem Fleisch war nur geriebener, ungeschmolzener Käse. Ich hätte erwartet, dass Fleisch und Käse warm sind und die frischen Zutaten und Soßen erst nach dem Überbacken darüber gegeben werden, damit der Käse schmilzt. Die Nachos hingegen waren absolut köstlich und reichlich belegt. Die Margarita war ein Genuss. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Einer meiner Lieblingsspots in Nürnberg! Super lecker und macht immer richtig Spaß. Man fühlt sich direkt total wohl. Zum Nachtisch liebe ich einen Ice cream Sandwich (oder zwei). 😌

Das Essen ist für die gebotene Qualität überteuert. Ein guter Dürüm vom Dönerladen um die Ecke für 7,50 € ist deutlich besser als der Burrito für 15 €. Außerdem sprechen sie aus irgendeinem Grund lieber Englisch als Deutsch.

Wir waren am Samstag zum ersten Mal bei Crazy Nates am Wöhrder See und waren total begeistert. Wir haben ewig nach einem guten mexikanischen Restaurant in Nürnberg gesucht und wurden immer wieder enttäuscht … bis jetzt. Die Atmosphäre? Super entspannt, etwas laut, aber irgendwie auch eine richtige Hausparty. Der Laden sieht super aus – Skater-Style gemischt mit kalifornischer Energie (die kalifornische Flagge draußen hat es total verraten). Ein großes Lob an Chrissy an der Rezeption – sie hat gemerkt, dass wir mit der Speisekarte nicht ganz klarkamen, hat uns geholfen und uns die Chicken Tacos von Crazy Nate mit Taco-Teller und einer Mixed Margarita empfohlen. Ein absoluter Game Changer. Nur zur Info: Wir hatten Glück und haben einen Tisch ergattert, obwohl es voll war – am Samstag besser reservieren. Wenn ihr Lust auf echtes mexikanisches Essen in Nürnberg habt, seid ihr hier genau richtig. 🌮🔥

Ob Essen, Atmosphäre, Personal usw. – Crazy Nate’s ist einer der besten (wenn nicht sogar der beste) Orte für leckeres Essen, Margaritas, Quizabende und rundum gute Laune. Einer meiner absoluten Lieblingsorte! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Das beste mexikanische Restaurant in Nürnberg!

War das erste Mal in dem Restaurant und muss sagen, dass es ein echt stylisch eingerichtetes und kleines Lokal ist. Die Speisen und Getränkeauswahl ist völlig ausreichend und hochwertig! Sympathische Mitarbeiterin am Tresen, die die Bestellungen entgegennimmt und kassiert. Einziger Minuspunkt die Musik könnte etwas leiser sein! Komme wieder!!!

Wenn du denkst, Taco Bell bietet authentisches mexikanisches Essen, dann wirst du diesen Laden lieben! Cali-Mex? Das soll Cali-Mex sein? Ich komme aus San Diego, Kalifornien, und habe noch nie davon gehört, lol.

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Geschmacklich hat es nichts geschmeckt. Es war noch nicht mal der Käse geschmolzen. Bedienung spricht nur Englisch. Das ist ok. Aber die Speisekarte war auch nur auf Englisch. Warum? Es gibt eine Trinkgeld Aufforderung. Und wenn das Essen fertig ist, wird man nicht bedient. 😂😂

One of the best places in Nuremberg. The owner is very personable and funny. He's originally from Western America, and you can taste it in his food! If you're craving authentic Tex-Mex in a great atmosphere, this is the place to be!

We came from Australia to germany for the beer and history.. ended up eating the greatest burrito Ever. Run, dont walk, in fact what are you doing now? Quit, and get here asap.

I tried it once and have to say, I don't recommend it. I tried all three tacos and wasn't satisfied afterward. The portions were very small, and the tacos were carelessly mixed together. The taste was okay, nothing special. Definitely not going back for this price.

Let's start with the food. It was okay, but the portions were too small for the price. You can only rate service if you actually have it. The ambiance is original, but sitting on a snowboard isn't exactly comfortable. I won't be going here again. What a shame.

I went there again after a good experience a few years ago, but this time it's a disappointment in every respect. There's no service, but they ask for tips when paying by card. The portions, now half the size, and the quality of the food are no longer commensurate with the prices. The non-vegan dishes taste okay, but you can't go wrong with a wrap with melted cheese. The burritos are carelessly prepared and are of similar quality to a microwave burrito with extra cheese. The tofu options, on the other hand, are a complete disaster. I've rarely felt so ripped off. Please remove this disappointment from your menu. The tofu is simply cut into slices and stacked on top of each other, rolled into the burrito. Not crispy, not crumbled, not marinated, not even remotely attempting to create something flavorful. The cheese wasn't melted. The rice was poorly prepared. In our group, three burritos were ordered with tofu, and no one could finish this flavor confusion. The quesadillas also used raw tofu slices, but the flavor of the sauce overpowered them. If you want a better burrito, go to the supermarket, buy a wrap, rice, meat/tofu, cheese, and a sauce. The result will be better, and most importantly, it won't disappoint. All in all—a waste of money.

It's really cool here. The food is amazing. You just have to be prepared to speak English. And there's no service; you order your food at the counter and pick it up at the food counter.

The food is freshly prepared and you receive a warm welcome. The drinks selection also matches the restaurant. My wife and I would love to come back!

No question: Crazy Nate is a character, a man with a mission, and he knows how to run his place. I haven't had a burrito this awesome in 25 years, or more precisely, not since San Diego. Everything about this place is just perfect: from the 80s/early 90s skateboarding/snowboarding retro look, which I, as a mid-forties guy, absolutely love, to the fact that there are always some Americans eating there, which undoubtedly speaks volumes about the quality of this establishment. #TrueStory #BestInTown

Only "bad" thing would be the pricing. But otherwise it's really one of the best places for food in Nürnberg. They actually use seasoning on the food. Margaritas are good on a hot day too. Expect to pay 20-30 per person.

Delicious burritos and great ambience. June 2025 update. They have improved the ordering system, employees no longer ask for tips and the burritos (long beach) is still the best I've ever had. Also the margarita is now larger and in a big glass. Overall it's only gotten better and I would very highly recommend it.

A very atmospheric place, with friendly staff and absolutely fantastic food. The wait time was shorter than at a regular fast food joint. I'd happily go back anytime.

The food is truly subpar. The location is cool. Asking customers to tip despite the lack of service (the function pops up immediately on the card machine) is just... rude.

A Nuremberg Tradition since 2016!

My buddy got a Chicken Quesadilla that was small and pathetic looking. The chips were from a bag and just not appealing looking. 100% not worth 10 euro, not even worth 5.

A very interesting location. The owner, probably Nate, is very funny, cheerful and open-minded. You order (drinks and food) at the counter. Bottles (alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks) are in the refrigerator. The borritos we ordered were prepared quickly and very tasty. There is a "salsa bar" where you can grab green and red (HOT) salsa for free. You could also take the food with you and enjoy it at Lake Wöhrder, which is not far away.

Most authentic mexican food I had in a while. Tried several dishes and all of them were absolutely incredible!

Nice place to have dinner with friends, typical Mexican food, portions are big and good variety of drinks, both with or without alcohol. There is no service hence you need to order at the cash point and then wait until you’re called for picking up your food - you will not get a number but a character 🙃 Parking around might not be easy but still possible without too much waiting time. Overall good relation quality-price and a pleasant environment to have good time with friends.

If you want real authentic food and flair, try the incredibly delicious tacos and burritos here. 10/10

Today was our first time at Crazy Nate – and to be honest, it will probably be the last time. First things first: The food was really tasty and at least added culinary value to the visit. The boss was also friendly. But that was it for the positive aspects. The price-performance ratio? Unfortunately not available. The portions were quite small, and you only got full if you ordered something else - at an additional cost, of course. We would definitely have expected more for the prices quoted. The service? Practically non-existent. You had to order at the counter, pick up the food yourself at the kitchen counter, and then you had to wait. And not exactly short. Particularly annoying: The volume in the restaurant was so high that it was extremely difficult to even understand the call for our food, which unfortunately reminded us of a subway station. But what really bothered us: When we were already dressed and wanted to leave the restaurant, we were actually called back again - to clear our dishes ourselves. An absolute NO-GO! Unfortunately, this wasn't said or was clearly signposted anywhere. We have never experienced anything like this even in fast food restaurants like McDonald's, which follows the same concept (order food at the counter, pick it up yourself). Particularly disappointing since we had given a generous tip. Our conclusion: If you don't value service or a quiet atmosphere, but would like to enjoy very good - albeit overpriced - food, this might be the right place for you. Everyone else should find another Mexican restaurant.

I go here for years already and really like this place. Very authentic and creative restaurant with seats inside and outside. Good choice of different drinks paired with some awesome food. If you like spicy stuff you'll gonna love it here. You can also use some homemade salsas and hot sauce for your food. Staff here often speaks English only, which contributes to an even more authentic experience for me.

The place is very original and cozy, the gluten-free food was delicious, and the service was friendly. The portions are huge, I had a hard time finishing 😳🤤😮‍💨 and the pink lemonade 🤗❤️ I loved it, I recommend it, and I plan to return!

Very cool atmosphere with 100% English speaking service. Unfortunately, I personally didn't like the tacos very much, the burrito was unfortunately too spicy (well, it's my own fault because I ordered the spiciest one) and the quessedias were OK, but a bit too mushy in some cases. In terms of price I thought it was OK, not too expensive but not really cheap either

This joint is amazing. The food it just like your favorite burrito/taco place back in the US. I had given up on finding good burritos and tacos in Germany. Glad I tried one last place.

Super authentic atmosphere and incredibly delicious food! It's best if you speak good English and are familiar with the culture, then there is no place like here in Nuremberg and the surrounding area. The only thing I often wish were longer opening hours, nothing would be nicer than a half-drunk burrito on the way home late at night.

Not sure what happened but the food wasn’t as good as before, especially considering the prices. Rice was very dry and the tortilla chips weren’t the best. Overall not what it used to be.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio has dropped significantly. The taste is still good but what's wrong with the sizes of the burritos? These things are only slightly bigger than my smartphone!? They used to be about twice as big and much wider - like a really sturdy Dürüm. Charging over €15 for this is brazen and sad. We've been hoping for a slip-up the last 1-2 times but it seems to be standard now. You're welcome to rip off other people, but as a long-time customer I say adios!

We've been eating and ordering from Crazy Nates for a really long time, and the first thing we said to ourselves when we took a bite was: "Crazy Nates has never disappointed us" and that's why I'm writing a good review now :) The quality has remained consistently great since we first ordered 3 years ago and when we feel like burritos or tacos, Crazy Nates in Nuremberg is really simply our number 1 (It would be completely perfect if you could also order your delicious tacos!) But all in all, a big recommendation to anyone who is in the mood for good food! Lots of praise to you and we hope that we can enjoy your delicious food for a long time to come! LG! :)

La comida era excelente! Tenía tacos locos de Nate de carne de res, cerdo y pollo y eran mejores que los tacos que tenía en California. Mi marido tenía un burrito de pollo y también pensó que era tan bueno que se aseguró de que no dejó nada atrás. Sin duda recomendaría si estás en Nuremberg. ¡Haz el viaje!

The restaurant is definitely very special and conveys well the flair that is intended to be conveyed. The food is averagely good and ready quite quickly. What I found unfortunate were the tables and chairs. When you're a little taller, everything feels a little too small...

I like the drinks the food IS not really my thing

Food is good, but nothing particularly special. Unfortunately, the place is very dark and, together with the cool skateboard benches, is extremely uninviting. Therefore, together with the self-service, it feels more like a very expensive snack bar.

Come here to eat based on recommendation. The food is incredibly good. Sauces for free and water too. In terms of price, normal or average. Super nice service. Gladly again!!!!
