„Wenn ich sage, das Essen ist okay, schauen sie mich komisch an.“ – John Lennon Dieses Zitat passt perfekt zu Crazy Nate’s – denn wer das Essen hier als „okay“ bezeichnet, erntet garantiert nur fragende Blicke. Crazy Nate’s bringt ein erfrischendes kalifornisches Flair mitten ins Johannis-Viertel. Entspannt, farbenfroh und lässig-cool – wie ein Stück Westküste mitten in Nürnberg. Schon beim Betreten spürt man es: lockere Atmosphäre, gute Musik und ein Ort, der sich selbst nicht allzu ernst nimmt. Der Fokus liegt eindeutig auf Tacos und Burritos, und die sind absolut top. Die Aromen sind kräftig, frisch und lebendig – genau das, was man sich von einem kalifornisch inspirierten Lokal wünscht. Die Zutaten schmecken frisch und ausgewogen, und die Kombinationen wirken authentisch, ohne überladen zu sein. Ob man sich nun für einen reichhaltig belegten Burrito oder selbst zusammengestellte Tacos entscheidet, alles ist voller Geschmack und mit Liebe zubereitet. Was hier besonders auffällt, ist die unkomplizierte Atmosphäre. Perfekt für einen schnellen Imbiss, aber genauso gut geeignet, um in Ruhe etwas zu trinken und die entspannte Stimmung zu genießen. Das Personal passt perfekt dazu – freundlich, zuvorkommend und herzlich. Kurz gesagt: Das ist nicht einfach nur ein weiterer Taco-Laden. Crazy Nate’s bringt ein Stück kalifornische Sonne nach Nürnberg – und das mit Bravour. Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn man Lust auf frische, leckere Tacos und Burritos in einem coolen, unkomplizierten Ambiente hat.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Super leckeres Essen zum fairen Preis. Hier gibt’s sogar Leitungswasser umsonst, was total unüblich in Deutschland ist. Probs dafür! Der Flair passt zum Essen und es wirkt auch alles sehr authentisch und harmonisch. Ich hatte den veganen Burrito und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Er war sehr lecker! Hätte ich gerne auch bei uns in Regensburg!

Ich war hier gemeinsam mit zwei Freunden zum Essen. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker und qualitativ sehr hochwertig. Bestellt wird ausschließlich auf Englisch, was gut funktioniert hat. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend und modern, die Stimmung insgesamt angenehm und lebendig. Ein rundum tolles kulinarisches Erlebnis – wir kommen gerne wieder!.

Diese Burritos können es locker mit allem in Kalifornien aufnehmen und würden wahrscheinlich sogar gewinnen. Jemand meinte, sie seien klein – aber außer man ist drei Meter groß, sind die Burritos mehr als ausreichend. Richtig prall sogar.

Crazy Nate's ist der perfekte Ort für leckeres Essen in angenehmer Atmosphäre. Das Essen war absolut köstlich und der Service hervorragend. Eine rundum gelungene Erfahrung (10/10). Wir hatten Crazy Nate's Tacos, Street-Style-Tacos, einen RBC Burrito, einen San Diego Burrito, Nachos und eine Quesadilla. Dazu gab es hausgemachte rosa Limonade. Ich kann die Tacos wärmstens empfehlen. Die Burritos sind zwar sehr sättigend, aber trotzdem unglaublich lecker. Auch die Nachos und die Quesadilla waren absolut top. Die rosa Limonade passte perfekt zu den herzhaften Burritos! Es war wirklich toll und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn wir in der Nähe sind!

Das beste mexikanische Restaurant ohne Zweifel und sehr nettes Personal! Super leckeres Essen und große Mengen, ich liebe es!

Came here for drinks and a comedy night. The ready made Margaritas are awful. Worst I ever had anywhere in the world. Stick to beer there!

The food is delicious, very fresh, and healthy. The self-service concept, served in English, fits well with the West Coast style. A reservation was required on Friday evening. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a bit of variety in the dining scene and something for repeat customers.

We visited Crazy Nate's in Nuremberg and had a really nice visit. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and makes you feel a bit like you're in the USA. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and you immediately felt welcome. The two of us tried a variety of dishes: tacos, nachos, a burrito, and a quesadilla. Everything was delicious and freshly prepared—the portions were very filling. We also particularly enjoyed the Mexican lemonades in mango, grapefruit, and guava flavors—something different and a great complement to the delicious food. Overall, a successful culinary experience!

Unfortunately, the value for money is unbelievable. The food is "OK" for the price, but it should be much better. The service is odd. You're not waited on your own; you have to do everything yourself. At the end of the meal, I thought I was going to have to wash my own plate. The menu wasn't brought until we asked (it took a 10-minute wait).

Having spent a night processing what I experienced, I unfortunately have to leave a less than positive review today. Where do we begin: Self-service, which we hadn't known about and hadn't read at the table. Not worth mentioning in itself, but given the combination of events, I'm mentioning it deliberately. Taking the order was exciting. Only English was spoken here; we were in Nuremberg and not anywhere else in the world ;-) I also found that rather inauthentic. Otherwise, the lady was nice. The food order was a complete mess. My friend got the right meal, but I got the completely wrong one. Instead of a burrito with, among other things, chicken, they gave me this one with tofu. And a second one that I didn't order. We'll come back to that later. The burrito was absolutely tasteless; I'd never experienced anything like it before. The three tacos we ordered were also "delivered" in the wrong version, and only two of them. Taste-wise, it was a disaster. It reminded me of dog food; the chicken meat, among other things, contained something resembling cartilage. Truly inedible. We both had queasy stomachs after or during the meal and deliberately didn't finish our meal. It was absolutely unappetizing. We left the second burrito, which was too many, alone. The fear of major health problems was definitely too great for us. Paying €30 for this (including a Corona) is almost a disgrace. We absolutely couldn't understand the positive reviews and will definitely not be visiting the restaurant again! Sorry :/

My go-to place for an exciting dinner out with my friends! 🌮 Going here regularly for the last 5 years. Is it the awesome tacos tuesday, is it the crazy good vegan options, is it the cheesy quesadillas, or the frozen margaritas that brings me back here every time? Don't know... but if it's not the food, then It must be for Andy! The best man at the taco-front you will ever see!

If you ever want to eat some good Mexican food THIS is THE place. They got every kind of meat and vegan options. I tried the quesadillas, tortilla and the burrito and they all tasted amazing. The meat, guacamole, tortilla, cheese, beans. It all comes together nicely and forms an amazing textural and great tasting experience. I always complain about many restaurants these days being afraid of using salt, pepper and other spices. Not this place! Will definitely come back. Also try the Peanutbutter and jam Ice cream Sandwich. It's vegan but trust me you won't regret it.

If you're looking for really good Mexican food in Nürnberg, Crazy Nate's is the place. Will definitely go back! Go Portland Timbers!

And whether I can recommend Nate's Yummy Scrummy Calexico Foodparadies - it was wonderful. When it comes to namesake Nate, we don't just come in because of the food, but because of Nate himself and his tac orgasm as a whole concept. It's loud and colorful, plenty of West Coast Punk, some wrestling, graffiti and stickers, plus a good amount of pop culture and a certifiable Batscher - it's all here! The dishes, we count around 15 varieties of tacos, enchiladas and the like, are available with chicken as well as vegetarian, with beef but also with cactus. When we order, Nate gives us a plastic card with the name and likeness of a little-known celebrity. When the food is prepared for us, Nate bleats the name of our B-celebrity across the room and we pick it up at the counter, receive a short, humorous complimentary comment from Nate and serve ourselves the food. And we really enjoyed the food. Because it was more Mexican than many other sombrero shops. The guacamole was really tasty, the refried beans would have been worthy of any truck stop in Albuquerque and the chili is subtly described as 'Ringburner'. Real Calexico, instead of hand-tamed system catering, you know. I justify the only missing star by saying that I generally imagine a main course with some kind of garnish. Not just a block, no matter how good the block tastes. We didn't have dessert or coffee on the list, but the lemonade and local and spooky beers were more than enough.

Crazy Nates is simply one of the places for excellent tacos in Nuremberg. Fresh, delicious, juicy. What more could you want from a taco? No matter what combination you eat and how - you will definitely have a real treat here. My personal favorite is the street taco with tofu or cactus. Plus homemade chili sauces in different levels of spiciness, but also with different flavors - simply a must! The service is very simple. A counter. Everything is ordered there. You get a card with a famous person and as soon as the name is heard the food is ready. But we also have to emphasize the friendliness and sympathy of the staff! Just don't expect table service. Personally, the ambience doesn't always appeal to me. 90s vibe, skateboards, VHS cassettes, snowboards as benches. Crazy American style. But if you like that, you're in good hands here. All in all - always worth a visit! Especially on Taco Tuesday, i.e. Tuesdays.

Hier kann man die perfekte authentische TEX/MEX Küche geniessen. Es war ein echt cooler Abend,alle waren glücklich! Mein Burrito (Death valley style) war genau richtig,ordentlich scharf und geschmacklich perfekt. Für die Kinder war das Essen (quessedillas beef,tacos beef) sehr lecker und auch nicht zu scharf.Preislich bewegt es sich hier in einem überschaubaren Rahmen,nur 4€ für ein Helles würden auch reichen(5€). Vielen Dank für den lockeren und entspannten Abend.

Came here once and was hooked ever since. Amazing burritos and quesadillas. Whether they are traditional I don’t know but damn are they good. My personal recommendation would be the Long Beach burrito with extra pickled onions inside. But for real. The staff is amazing and very engaging. The food tastes amazing. It is a bit more on the expensive side but well worth every penny. It’s always warm, fresh, filled with love and hits just the right spot in your heart that makes you feel warm and at home.

This is the best mexican food I have had in Bayern. The frozen margaritas are great. All menu items are really good. However, it is a bit pricey (worth the money tho)

We didn't like the food. At the end of the day, however, it's a matter of taste. What is not a matter of taste, however, is the constant diarrhea that my girlfriend and I had for the next 2 days. Never experienced anything like this. It wasn't cheap either. I ended up paying €50 for being subjected to negligent bodily harm. Thanks for nothing. P.S. The Bre who took the order was cool.

Delicious! Nachos Grande for €11 is a lot - and delicious. Just like the tacos and the keto bowl. Rounded off with delicious magarita. All for not a lot of money. To recommend!

Cool atmosphere with snowboards on the benches. The Housemade Pink Lemonade is delicious! We were completely full after the burritos, even though the portion size didn't look like it at first. Only the surcharge of 1.50 - 2.50 for additional guacamole or sour cream in the burrito is not in proportion to the price.

Super tasty Mexican food, you order at the counter, there's good music playing, the mainly younger people are in a good mood and the casual decor is also epic. The bonus: there is gluten-free food here even for people with celiac disease. Nuremberg still has far too little to offer. Thumbs up 🤘🏻

First things first: There are fantastic Californian-Mexican burritos, tacos and other delicious gimmicks here, which makes eating really fun! Every dish and recipe is unique, and even West Coast natives say they rarely find this level of quality in burritos. There's probably nowhere else like this in Europe. It's not an exaggeration at all to say that people actually often come to Crazy Nate's from miles away, from many neighboring towns and cities. The atmosphere is a strange, hard-to-describe mix of 80s retro stuff, Godzilla monsters, toy robots, kung fu movies and Mexican lucha libre, skater and punk rock culture. Accordingly, the music in the background is usually canceled. The furnishings are simple but efficient, and every piece of furniture definitely feels second-hand and very "do it yourself." Of course, this is something you need to know, and not everyone will be able to fully understand or enjoy the concept. Colorful, loud, youthful and non-conformist.

One of my favorite places to eat in Nuremberg. I religiously eat here once a week. Their burritos are to die for. Highly recommend. Why 4 starts you may ask? It happened too often that I went to order close to closing time and they had no more food left. Which is great for them but sucks for me 😝

We arrived 30 minutes early as we had mistimed our journey, we were worried we would have to wait but we were welcomed in straight away with no fuss. The food, drinks (homemade frozen margaritas are the one) and service (the staff were absolutely hilarious and really friendly and accommodating) were amazing. We actually had a couple of Mexican meals whilst we were staying in Nuremberg, and hands down Nate’s was the absolute best!!

Crazy Nate's is an authentic eatery with a great atmosphere. The food is not only great, but also very authentic. The tacos on Taco Tuesday are particularly outstanding - a real treat! The selection of ingredients and the preparation leave no doubt that the cooking here is done with passion. We were thrilled with the quality and taste of the food. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of the delicious cuisine at Crazy Nate's. Five stars - absolutely deserved!

Great authentic Californian-Mexican food. Burritos, tacos, quesadillas. Plus great salsas (Chipotle, Hot, Hot Hot and Verde) Plus punk rock, wrestling videos and really nice staff.

Good Mexican food, quick service. Problem is the place is small, if many people come. We had to sit with another people, but it was ok. No waiter, you have to pick up the food and then bring the dirty dishes. Everything was tasty and fresh. The place is really loud, feels like a pub.

Definitely cool for young people - too loud for us in places. We didn't eat, so we can't rate it. Otherwise we had 2 beers and space. The owner is super nice and you feel like you're in good hands. Next time we'll try the food - so we'll be back ;-)

As someone who is from Texas, I was highly disappointed by this place when I got there. Leading up to it I was somewhat excited to go, hearing that it was Baja Mexican food. When I got there I was met with a very plain menu of burritos, some tacos, and misc other items. But somehow this "Baja" restaurant missed one of the biggest staples of the cuisine, QUESO. How does any self respecting restaurant that is literally only serving Mexican food not have queso??? I got a San Francisco burrito, it was sub par. Tasted bland, and the addition of their sauces didn't do a damn thing for the taste. We got chips with our order, and those tasted like they came out of a bag 3 weeks ago. A $8 margarita was in a glass that seemed smaller than a normal cocktail... Bottom line, don't waste your money or time. Seems they reported my last review, probably don’t like having an actual honest review.
