The service was really very friendly. The restaurant is stylishly decorated with lovely details. It's a real shame that the prices are so high. If they're already high, you expect a great presentation, exceptional taste, or large portions. Unfortunately, none of that was the case. The cheese board for €25 was more like a small board (with wilted arugula). The dips were great, though. The apricot dumplings were presented without any care and, unfortunately, didn't taste anything special. The Kaiserschmarren was just okay. The wait times are a bit long. To be honest, I'm disappointed, as it has a different reputation. I'll give Cortina another chance, though.

A fantastic café with a truly cozy atmosphere! The strudel was wonderfully fresh and homemade – with a delicate filling. It was served with a perfectly layered latte macchiato or a hot Italian white chocolate that was incredibly creamy. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. An ideal place to relax, indulge, and simply unwind – highly recommended!

A very positive experience and a first-class culinary experience: The creative cuisine benefits from high-quality ingredients and passionately developed recipes. Exceptional! The homework has been done here, as the food, drinks, and groceries offer a journey of discovery through Alpine delicacies that will delight. The dishes are truly successful creations: reinterpreted classics and completely new ideas (e.g., the pizza selection) surprise and delight. The ambiance itself is spectacular, and you immediately feel at home. The team was very friendly, and the attentive service was of a very high standard. In summary, we left the Cortina fully satisfied and will be back.

A very nice restaurant with lovely decor and absolutely top-notch food. One small drawback regarding the service: when making a reservation, let us know how long you plan to stay. Unfortunately, today we were very politely and regretfully escorted out after more than an hour. Hmm, doesn't really fit the bill. Who knows...

The wonderfully cozy ambiance is very inviting. The selection, quality, and taste are just as impressive as the excellent service. Attentive, unobtrusive, and overall, a totally pleasant atmosphere.

A very rustic and cozy atmosphere with super delicious food. Highly recommended.

We once had Kaiserschmarrn, which was very good and the portion was sufficient for €13.90. The Gorgonzola soup with pumpkin seed oil and two semolina dumplings was delicious. But the value for money wasn't right. The soup (more like a sauce) was finished in four spoonfuls, for €15.90. However, the service was good and friendly.

We had coffee there. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was very cozy, and the apricot and curd cake was delicious. We'd gladly go back.

We were on vacation in Oberhof three weeks ago and had dinner at the Cortina – a true culinary delight! 🍝✨ The dishes were absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. I especially loved the fresh Parmesan cheese grated over my pasta right at my table – simply fantastic! The ambiance is also fantastic: stylish decor, a cozy atmosphere, and an all-around inviting restaurant. The entire team, both waitresses and waiters, were super friendly and attentive. You can tell they put their heart and soul into their work. In summary: incredibly delicious food, a fantastic atmosphere, and excellent service.

I really ask myself every time: How much can you really love a restaurant? The Cortina in Oberhof is a little piece of home for me, a truly wonderful day trip, a place to start or end a wonderful day on the Rennsteig hiking trails. Whether in winter or summer, we love to enjoy our beloved South Tyrolean cuisine, which tastes so wonderfully like a break. We've enjoyed coming here for years and also happily give vouchers for special occasions. Thank you so much for being there! What's left to say? Top-notch food, top-notch service, top-notch ambiance. It couldn't be better!

The menu sounded very tempting, which is why we chose this restaurant. We were very disappointed with all the dishes. The chicken was very dry, and all the dishes were very fatty. The tomato sauce for the children was overly sweet. The restaurant doesn't live up to what you'd expect from the menu and the otherwise pleasant ambiance – the prices are far too high! If South Tyrolean cuisine tasted like this, it probably wouldn't have become known nationwide. Besides, it's not suitable for children. As a family with two children, we didn't really feel welcome.

Great food, beautiful, high-quality ambiance. Very expensive, and not in keeping with the service: we ordered non-alcoholic white wine. It tasted like very sweet apple juice. The server said she'd have to check because the bottler had switched to smaller bottles, possibly a bottling error. At €9.90 a glass, it's not acceptable not to clarify this immediately, not in a restaurant where the delicious small salad costs over €11. Despite the sweet juice, there was a bitter aftertaste.

Eating here is always a highlight; the ambiance is constantly updated with new details, and the service is consistently positive and attentive. While it's a bit difficult to get a table on short notice, they always try to find a solution. We'd be happy to return in due course.

The ambiance is nice. However, we waited over an hour for our food. There was no information in between. It only arrived when we asked, and then it took another while. Just as we had decided to leave, it arrived. The food was good, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio here isn't right, as the prices are high. They offered a liqueur as apology for the long wait. Thank you for that.

Friendly welcome, great food, comfortable place on the terrace

Warm welcome and service, cozy decor, and delicious food. Beautiful dishes (starter, main, and dessert) that we were completely unfamiliar with, making it a wonderful place to eat. Especially worth mentioning are the Heublumen prosecco (incredibly delicious!) and the bruschetta with goat cheese. Because of the setting, quality, and inviting (and unfamiliar) dishes, we will definitely visit Cortina again! Greetings from the Netherlands. P.S. Our dog was very welcome.

The Cortina is a super cozy restaurant with very friendly service. I ordered Schlutzer (sausages). They were delicious. My husband also loved his pasta with corn-fed chicken. The food is truly worth the money. Everything was perfect. Thank you 🙂

I'd like to share my experience from today's visit. I was warmly greeted by Olaf and given a seat outside as requested. ☺️ The non-alcoholic wheat beer 🌾 was from my hometown, so I knew it was good. 🍺 The pizza, which has the scent of summer in it, was super delicious. 🍕 I chose the whole wheat version, which I didn't regret. 😁 Followed by the espresso ☕️, which was also great. I was put off by the high prices 💰. Since the quality of the food was good, I think it's okay. 🤩

We gave the Cortina a third chance, but unfortunately, we were disappointed again. I'm happy to spend a little more money to eat well, but unfortunately, the value for money here isn't at all! The service is nice, but we sat for ages with empty glasses. We each ordered four different dishes, none of which tasted good. The salad and pizza were absolutely tasteless, and some of the listed ingredients were missing. One salmon was swimming in oil and incorrectly presented. The service gratefully accepted the criticism and served a digestif. We often visit Oberhof as we're from the area, but unfortunately, this will be our last visit to this restaurant. Which is a shame, because the ambiance is great.

We chose this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. We wanted to spend a pleasant evening and have a quiet conversation. This was completely impossible due to the closely spaced tables. The noise from the left and right was so loud that conversation was impossible. So we ordered our food and left the restaurant. The server was very attentive and friendly. The greeting at the entrance seemed too "forced" for me. I also find the signs with the guests' names inappropriate. The menu was so confusing that it took a long time to look at it. The food itself was okay (schnitzel with a bit of potato salad and a duo of dumplings). But it was out of proportion to the price, especially the duo of dumplings. The overall ambiance is lovely. But it can't make up for our disappointment with an expensive, short dinner.

Group of 5 - Probably the second-worst pizza I've ever eaten (fish). The vegetarian pizza was just as bad. The chicken in other dishes was dry, but slightly better. The salad seems okay. Service was initially attentive but didn't come back to our table after the food was served. Pretty much a tourist trap.

Highly recommended, the location and landscape are inviting and in the CORTINA restaurant you will be spoiled by Katja and her cuisine.

Super freundliche Mitarbeiter machen jeden Besuch zu einem Erlebnis. Qualitativ hochwertige und abwechslungsreiche Speisen, excellente Getränke in eiener sehr angenehmen Umgebung - was will man mehr. Unser Dank an das gesamte Team vom Cortina. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder.

Auch die Marillenknödel waren super frisch zubereitet, was ein wenig dauert, aber es lohnt sich! Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, professionell und freundlich! Hier ist der Gast ein König! Und die Einrichtung passt super zum Namen und macht einen wertigen Eindruck! Wir kommen bald wieder!

We can only recommend the Cortina. We visited you for the first time on Sunday for my 50th birthday. It was excellent. We really enjoyed it, so we'll be back. The food was very tasty. First, we had the schnitzel, which was tasty, but I would recommend something else from the menu, as some of the combinations are really good and something different. The pizzas are very tasty. The atmosphere is very nice, and the staff are very friendly. You do have to allow a bit of time, but you can linger in the lovely setting.

We've been here several times. We live nearby. Unfortunately, the service was sometimes very unfriendly and aloof and arrogant. The food is very tasty, whether cake or savory. However, the prices are too high for this area!!! There are now many cafes and restaurants in the surrounding area that have overtaken the Cortina! Too bad! It used to be our regular restaurant…

We had a really wonderful evening in this restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and looked after. The rooms were very lovingly designed, with many small details. Even the menu was very nicely designed. We were also completely thrilled with the food: the asparagus soup, the dumpling duo and, at the end, Kaiserschmarrn all tasted excellent. It's been a long time since I've been so positively surprised by the taste. I can fully recommend this restaurant.

I had bad luck twice at dessert. Once it came out of the kitchen cold, the second time the apple strudel dough was "raw" on the bottom. Unfortunately a no-go for coal.

On our Rennsteig tour we made a special detour to the cortina. We were able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast. Everything your heart desires, made with love and delicious. When you make a reservation you will even be greeted with your name on a sign. The restaurant is furnished in Alpine style with attention to detail. We will definitely come back. Many thanks to the team for this beautiful start to our tour.

Beautiful restaurant, designed with attention to detail, dishes and drinks are very attractively presented, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right at all, the yeast dumplings advertised for over € 8 are ultimately two yeast dumplings from the supermarket like you know them from home, unfortunately these were not completely warmed up and dry, what a shame!

Hervorragendes Essen auf Sterne-Niveau. Die Speisekarte lädt in die italienische Alpenküche ein.In einer gemütlichen und stilvollen Atmosphäre fühlt man sich wie in Südtirol. Ein netter entspannter Service - das Personl ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es empfiehlt sich eine Tischreservierung. Wir entschieden uns am selbigen Tag spontan einzukehren und konnten das Lokal 19 Uhr besuchen. Wir kommen wieder. GROßARTIG!

Unfortunately I cannot give full points. The ambience and service were great during our visit. Unfortunately we weren't very happy with the food. The first point of criticism for us is the lack of choice for children, as there were no fries with nuggets. That may sound a little banal, but it is of course a conscious culinary decision. But it's not comprehensible to us. It's not about serving cheap food. Fries and nuggets are also great to make yourself, although the love for cooking can still be seen in the product. In any case, the fact is that almost every child likes it and can at least find something on the menu that they eat. The alternatives offered were beetroot gnocchi and a salami pizza. Unfortunately, the children didn't like the gnocchi because of the color and unfortunately they didn't touch it. For the pizza they probably used special salami, which was also not well received due to its taste. The second point of criticism was the other two main courses, pizza again (I think salmon and beef fillet). The taste of both pizzas was not the same. For my pizza (beef) I can only say that the parmesan was far too dominant. This was particularly noticeable because next to it the beef (super tender) and tomatoes seemed almost tasteless. The individual components are certainly very high quality and the prices are perhaps justified. (Everyone should earn something too.) But if I have dinner for 4 people for €120, I want everyone to enjoy it. Unfortunately we were all missing that. We are not holidaymakers who eat once and perhaps never come back. We would be there in 15 minutes. However, there is currently no interest in a further visit.

Highly recommended, The staff is very accommodating and reads your wishes from your lips. The food was A+ in terms of taste and appearance. The ambience was stunning, you feel very comfortable there because the restaurant is very warm and has lots of rustic wood. Conclusion It is definitely worth a visit and I would be happy to come back at any time.
