Haus Vergissmeinnicht in Oberhof

Chic and very tasty food. A bit expensive, but you don't treat yourself to something like that every day.

Great restaurant, delicious food, very good drinks - also individual creations - welcoming, warm and cozy. Everything was right for us. Personally, we can recommend the fish roulade and the roast game with the toilet surprise. 😀

Hui on the outside, yuck on the inside! I saw a recommendation for this hotel on Instagram and thought over breakfast, I have to go there. So I booked a room for me and my boyfriend – 92 euros a night! I would like to record my impressions here: Top: • The staff is friendly. • Free parking behind the house (plus something else for the “flops”). • The ambience was nice and appealing. • The room was clean and very modern. • The location is great. Flop: Park: There are not enough parking spaces directly at the hotel. However, you have the option of parking about a 3-minute walk away. Eat: The food was, well… It may be special. The hotel advertises that everything is fresh, not frozen, regional and of good quality meat. The Vita Cola also seems to be of special quality, because 200 ml costs a whopping 3.50 euros - I find that very outrageous. We opted for roast venison with a variation of dumplings, for a whopping 29 euros. Four dumplings were served in a stainless steel bowl, which I personally find neither beautiful nor stylish! This reminds me more of a “prison pot” or food bowl and is impractical for eating. For dessert - I was still hungry - there was a scoop of ice cream on some pumpkin compote with yoghurt for a whopping 11 euros. Breakfast: I was particularly looking forward to that! Visually appealing and with a good selection. Breakfast runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and we were the first guests in the restaurant at 8 a.m. sharp, where everything was already set up. As soon as I took the rolls out I thought: “Oh, they feel dry.” Then the confirmation came when it was cut open - absolutely inedible! A smooth cut surface immediately showed how dry the bun was. The other rolls weren't any better either. I spoke to the waitress, who was solely responsible for the breakfast service, and said: “Unfortunately, the rolls are inedible because they are completely dry. They’re not fresh, are they?” The waitress replied: “Yes, I baked them fresh today.” (Aha, freshly baked!). I strongly suspect that the rolls were at least two days old. Since the waitress was alone and there was no one in the kitchen, the buffet was not refilled. What was empty remained empty! The tables weren't cleared either. We were in the restaurant from 8 to 9:30 am. A restaurant that advertises high and good quality should also offer reasonable bread rolls. What's the point of great cheese, homemade jam or special sausage if the roll is rock hard? The room: The room was clean, but what didn't work for me was that the bathroom door was just a glass door. So when my partner was lying on the bed, he could watch me go to the toilet - an absolute no-go for me! You should perhaps note this online when booking. There was also an annoying rattling noise outside the window, probably due to the wind during the night. I couldn't figure out exactly where it came from. Staff: The staff called us on our first name basis. Also a no-go for me in a hotel - I'm probably old-fashioned! Conclusion: Never again! From the outside it looks like a wannabe luxury hotel/restaurant... which it simply isn't!

The food was good, but very extravagant. However, I find the 5 euro fee for an extra plate for children to be unreasonable given the restaurant's high price level.

Everything was perfect, we felt very comfortable. The food in the evening was wonderful and the breakfast was also great. We also got scrambled eggs for breakfast upon request. Would love to come back.

The Forget-Me-Not is a very nice accommodation in the center of Oberhof. The service and the cuisine are top! You want such friendly staff wherever you go on vacation or occasionally stop by! The family-run hotel is not satisfied with what has already been achieved. Some of the 11 rooms have already been beautifully redesigned and the rest are to follow in the near future. A clear sign that we focus on customer satisfaction!! The breakfast is very rich and balanced. Here everyone will find something to their taste and special requests from guests are also taken into account. This is how the day can begin! In the evening, a menu worth reading awaits the restaurant's guests. You have to smile when you read the presentation of the dishes! And what you then conjure up on your plate in the kitchen not only tastes great, but is also a feast for the eyes! Everything is prepared and served fresh and with great attention to detail. Here you can linger, enjoy and end the day relaxing! In front of the hotel there is also an open veranda and a few nice seats, directly in front of the window front, which were created for tired hikers to linger. Now you can quickly grab a real Thuringian bratwurst from the little house next door and your little hunger will be satisfied quickly! Of course prepared on a charcoal grill for the guests! Conclusion: This accommodation and the restaurant is something for everyone who wants to relax and have a good time! I'll be back, that's for sure!

We wanted to have a different meal and weren't disappointed. Very good modern cuisine, presented differently with a great concept. The food was amazing and the service was great, unfortunately I forgot the name, super nice and accommodating. A wonderful evening with great impressions. Today (October 10, 2024) we were at the Vergissmeinnicht Restaurant in Oberhof.....and you can say that the name really says it all... We are currently taking a little journey back in time here, on the occasion of my grandpa's birthday, who unfortunately can no longer accompany us on our travels. He would have loved it here too....... I have many fond memories of Oberhof as a child. Now we were looking for a nice restaurant and came across this small restaurant by chance. You enter and immediately feel welcome, the cozy, stylish atmosphere is so tasteful. Then the lovingly designed menu, you can tell that a lot of heart and soul goes into it. And the food was fantastic. We were so excited that we immediately booked another table for tomorrow. It's really not a compliment, but it's been a long time since the three of us had such a nice evening in a restaurant where we felt so comfortable. EVERYTHING was just right for us!!!!!! Why aren't all restaurants at least a little FORGET-ME-NOT...... Many thanks to the young woman who accompanied us through the evening (Antje). She was a sweetheart, warm, attentive and quick. Reservation system works. Modern, bright and friendly rooms. Service and staff as expected. Food different and delicious - star-worthy. However, if you like heartburn, bloating, bulk and cheap, this is the wrong place for you. Thank you. We'd love to come back.

What's really great: the great ambience and the spacious tables - like at home :-) Sitting cramped while eating is actually not the case here. We were here with our three children. However, that didn't work for us at all. The dishes are all very strongly seasoned. Their composition is too extravagant for unprejudiced children's palates. The spice explosion is of no interest to my children. So it was difficult to get enough of them here. The noted spaghetti arrived as tagliatelle. Only fries went well. A vanilla ice cream scoop with four gummy bears is available here for 6 euros. The Robber's Plate (an empty plate) for 5 euros - only makes sense for children who like these extravagant dishes. Overall: Small dishes, far too much salt, too much extravagance that tastes so-so, but is reflected in the price very (!) exclusive. We had 120 minutes for dinner, after which the table had to be released and the following guests had their turn.

A must! The Forget-Me-Not Restaurant combines a very beautiful ambience with magical culinary dishes. The creations are lovingly served and rounded off by excellent service. In addition to the food, the freshly tapped beer and the wine list are impressive. We felt very comfortable and are already looking forward to our next visit. Recommendation from us, reserve in advance and if it doesn't work out, the Thuringian bratwurst right on the corner is also highly recommended.

The food is very fine but with a main course for €22.50 I would happily be full. “Colorful carrots and thick tubers” sounds good, but it’s just a small blob of mashed potatoes and a few (3-4) carrot wedges on top. Exorbitant price

The reception in front of the restaurant was great. You were looked after directly and lovingly. The food was amazing and worth every cent. Nothing for the small budget, but the quality speaks for itself and we are very happy to pay for it. It's worth it In any case. What was a shame was the still water. It tasted like lemon and it wasn't 0.3l but felt like it was only 0.15l and 3€ for that, we thought it was cheeky somewhere and above all it came directly in the glass and not in the bottle Producers.Would visit again despite the quality of the food and wine selection.

We were just eating. The food selection is great, the quality of the food was excellent. Everything prepared with love, a great taste experience for all the senses. Very nice and courteous service. Absolutely recommended.

One spontaneous overnight stay at “Forget me not” turned into two. With the help of Martin we had a great bike tour with lots of insider tips. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the good food and the warmth. Everything is lovingly designed and so detailed, simply beautiful. We'll definitely be back.

The two of us spontaneously went to dinner on September 11, 2024, without a reservation in the restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and served very friendly. The food was delicious. The Oberhammer! The food is really fantastic. I've actually never eaten better in a restaurant! In addition, the furnishings are modern and chic and the service is really great. 10 out of five stars!

We went to Forget-Me-Not for dinner at my dad's recommendation. My dad had been there before and raved about it - it was the first time for my brothers and me. So our expectations were high… What was good: - the ambience and design in the restaurant are very cool - the card is written very creatively and reads really well! - the service is super friendly and accommodating What wasn't so good, unfortunately: - the food was quite salty and overall okay but unfortunately the price/performance ratio wasn't right - All in all, I often had the feeling that they were trying to make extra sales... which I don't think is possible: making a wine recommendation for a wine that doesn't cost €20 in retail and costs over €100 in a restaurant and sorry, that was anything but a 100€ wine... we actually wanted to order a wine for 50€. On the boss's advice, it ended up being the 100€ wine - in my world, if there is a price difference, the waiter has to point it out proactively and not just after asking... In the end we ordered the wine, so all was well. When we read the criticism about the food, we realized that the chef was probably on vacation. Overall, I can imagine that it could really be better - but unfortunately our experience wasn't good. The concept is very cool and promising but unfortunately the performance on our evening was not good.

If you are looking for a more exclusive cuisine and appreciate great service, you have come to the right place! On my birthday, I sat and feasted on the terrace with my family as the sun set - it couldn't be more like home...

Dinner in a pleasant, upscale atmosphere, good food, friendly service

We were there on August 28th. for dinner in this restaurant. The name is aptly chosen. We won't forget the evening in a hurry. We were spontaneously able to reserve a table on the terrace for 5 people (3 adults and 2 children). As soon as we arrived at the restaurant, Martin (the boss) greeted us very friendly and relaxed on a first-name basis. The design of the facility is very attractive and conveys a warm atmosphere. We were already impressed by the cool way of describing the menu. It all sounded very tasty and we weren't disappointed later. On the contrary. As a starter I chose a variation of all the starters. It was called “Little Table, Set Yourself”. There were 7 small portions of the starters offered. One better than the other. Martin and his colleague Antje managed to create a great atmosphere thanks to their relaxed and friendly manner. The show kitchen allows a look behind the scenes. I was even invited to come into the kitchen with my daughter. We were also able to speak briefly with the chef and his trainee. All very cool people. We were very excited. Food and drinks were soooo good. Everyone enjoyed it wonderfully and we rave about it when we think about it. Many thanks again to Antje and Martin for the wonderful evening. Wir lernten den Gastronomen MARTIN kennen ,der diese Aufgabe mit Leib und Seele ausfüllt. Er selbst und sein ganzes Team sind freundlich und stets „zu Diensten“ .Das Highlight im VERGISSMEINNICHT jedoch ist die Küche. Alle Speisen auf der Karte waren sehr kreativ und geschmacklich äußerst genial, bis in kleinste Nuancen mega gut abgeschmeckt, sehr vielfältig in der Wahl der Zutaten und dazu noch regional. Für uns 4 ist es eindeutig das beste Restaurant !!!!!!! EIN HOCH AUF KOCH PAUL UND SEIN TEAM. STERNEKÜCHE OHNE STERN ZU BEZAHLBAREN PREISEN. !!!!!

Simply HAMMERGOOD...discovered by chance, the hotel and restaurant gets a grade 1 from me, I feel very comfortable and can recommend it to everyone! Nobody will be disappointed... As always, it was a special pleasure to dine at Vergissmeinnicht. We have been coming here regularly for several years and so far we have never regretted it. The food is excellent and the constantly changing menu means it never gets boring. You can tell that there is a team here that cares deeply about offering their guests an exceptional experience. In any case, we are already looking forward to the next time at Forget-Me-Not.

Chic hotel with a fine restaurant in Oberhof!!! Since we were slightly thirsty in summer temperatures, we met the owner, who welcomed us very hospitably. It wasn't open at the time, but he still offered us a drink straight away. We sat outside of the restaurant and enjoyed the sun 😎 The next time we visit Oberhof we will also stop there for dinner, and I am convinced that not only the specially produced beer will taste delicious there 😋 There is a paid parking lot nearby, but it is quite cheap. The tourist information office is also directly in front of the parking lot.

We were there for dinner yesterday and were so impressed. The food is really to die for. We're sitting here again because I want to eat it all again❤️. The staff (Antje and Roberto) are super accommodating, kind and just really good at their job!!! We come from Bonn and were on vacation here. In addition to the great hikes, the Forget Me Not was our highlight of the vacation. If you are in Oberhof, you MUST eat here!!!! You would really miss something!!! Everything fits here 100%!!! Had a reservation at Vergissmeinnicht yesterday and sat on the terrace. So the food was amazing, we even had a select 3 course menu. First-class restaurant with first-class service!

We are from nearby and ate there for the first time today following a recommendation. It was great!!! Great food and the location is also very inviting. The service Antje was also absolutely outstanding! Competent, courteous, friendly and fun for everyone. Even intolerances and questions were responded to in a way that I have rarely experienced. We'll be back, now we know where we feel comfortable and can have a great meal 😉

We were at Forget-Me-Not for the first time on July 30th to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was simply great! The guys in service were so refreshing and friendly and extremely competent. You could tell that they were doing this with passion. The food was simply fantastic and the atmosphere just made you feel good. We have found our new favorite restaurant and will probably come back more often :)

I haven't been able to meet such a great and motivated host like Martin for a long time!!! Best food, great wines, attentive staff, wonderful ambience, courteous service - what more could you want. This is the fourth time we have stayed at Vergissmeinnicht for a short holiday. Wonderful! Warmth and attention to detail are the order of the day here. Rooms are absolutely cozy and up to date. Breakfast is a highlight. Dinner too, of course! We will always come back and look forward to it every time :)

We ate there as a couple. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. A slice of bread would have been nice with the cheese plate as dessert. The service was great. There was a mistake in the menu, one thing that was there was no longer available for the dish, which was a shame. That's where the devil of an error crept in. Overall a successful evening. We didn't take the fixed price menu offer because the dishes we chose were cheaper than the fixed price. It's worth doing the math beforehand. I can't judge the rooms, we just ate.

Toll eingerichteter, gemütlicher Gastraum im Zentrum von Oberhof. Wechselnde Speisen und Menü-Folgen machen auch einen mehrfachen Besuch spannend und lohnenswert. Leckere, toll angerichtete Speisen bei supernettem Personal. Danke sehr!

Alles perfekt. Restaurant auf Top-Niveau was die Speisen als auch den Service betrifft. Nebenbei: gut digital unterwegs ist man überdies. Immer wieder gerne.

Keine Auswahl für Hauptspeisen, nur 6 Gerichte überteuert und schmeckt auch nicht. Keins davon zu empfehlen. Koch müsste ausgetauscht werden. Eine ordentliche Speisekarte wäre zu empfehlen .Gerichte auch zu klein für den Preis. Nie wieder. Nicht zu empfehlen. Kein Probeschluck beim Servieren von Wein. Für Weizenbier auch kein Weizenbierglas.

2 Sterne für das Ambiente und den freundlichen Service. Essen nicht schlecht aber nichts Besonderes. Portionen recht klein. Die Preise für Essen und Getränke sind absurd hoch und passen nicht dazu. Deshalb nicht nochmal.

We only ate at the restaurant. It was below expectations unfortunately, food wasn’t salted. We tried the 3 course menu, the starter (soup) was good with some salt, the main course - beef wellington didn’t taste much and fell together a bit, so consistency not great, and it was huge, too much food.. the dessert was actually nice! Wine was also good. Servers were nice but slow, took nearly 3h for our dinner.

Service sehr gut ..meine bestellten Ochsenbacken entpuppten sich leider als Fehlgriff..komplett durchwachsen und ich weiß auch nicht was das mit Ochsenbacken zu tun haben sollte!

Wahre Gastgeber aus Leidenschaft...ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Hotel, was durch die Herzlichkeit im Haus - ganz besonders beim Frühstück perfekt abgerundet wird. Danke für diesen tollen Aufenthalt.

Das Ambiente ist gut, die Bedienung freundlich aber nicht sehr aufmerksam. Obwohl wenig Gäste anwesend waren, wurde gebrauchtes Geschirr und Gläser nicht zeitnah abgeräumt. Das Essen war nicht qualitätsgerecht. Die Ochsenbäckchen waren sehrt durchwachsen und der dazu gereichte Grünkohl fast roh.

Hier wird noch richtig von Hand und mit ganz viel Kreativität und Freude aus regionalen Produkten gekocht. Die übersichtliche Karte überrascht mit zum Teil weniger bekannten Zutaten. Dadurch ist es immer wieder spannend, die Gerichte zu entdecken. Man kann sich ruhig darauf einlassen, denn schmecken tut alles wunderbar. Das Personal ist super kompetent und freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Den Hotelbereich kann ich nicht beurteilen, da ich den nicht kenne.

Sehr, sehr netter Service. Allerdings Gräten im Fisch in der Preislage...dass sollte nicht sein. DerGrünkohl zum Schweinebäckchen war viel zu hart. Das Selleriepürre , ohne jeglichen Selleriegeschmack und plämperig dünn.Ich habe 48 Jahre als Koch und Küchenmeister in mehreren renomierten Gastrpnomieobjekten gearbeitet und weiss wie schwer es ist jedem gerecht zu sein Aber meine erwähnten Hinweise sollten sie doch mal beachten.

Wir waren das dritte mal im Vergißmeinnicht und waren enttäuscht . Ich möchte mich kurz fassen und nur die Dinge zum Ausdruck bringen die mich störten . Erstens über die etwas schnippische Bedienung und noch einiges mehr . Wein wurde nicht am Tisch geöffnet und die Flasche präsentiert sondern gleich die Karaffe auf dem Tisch gestellt ohne vorher den Wein den Gast probieren zu lassen , keine Stoffservietten usw. Man kam sich abgefertigt vor . Essen war sehr gut aber irgendwie hat bei allem die Leidenschaft gefehlt . Das ist sehr schade und wir werden nicht wiederkommen .Ein Highlight möchte ich trotz allem noch erwähnen . Die männliche Bedienung war der Sonnenschein in dem Restaurant . Er hat so viel Herzlichkeit ausgestrahlt und hat dann den Abend noch halbwegs gerettet 🙏danke dafür
