Very tasty tapas, also vegetarian and gluten-free. Nice attentive staff.

I don't know if there is anyone Spanish in that restaurant to put a little judgment on the filthy garbage they call Spanish food. The croquettes are an unsmokable mess, the patatas bravas are neither potatoes nor bravas, the churros with chocolate are simply unacceptable. Luckily, the place is well decorated and beautiful and the service is quite good.

A true gem for tapas lovers! The food is fantastic, and the tapas are authentic and flavorful, perfect for sharing. Inside, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to unwind. It’s ideal for weekends when finding a place for a larger group can be tough – we’ve always been lucky to snag a spot here, even with a crowd. However, the cocktails were a bit of a letdown. I tried four different cocktails, but unfortunately, each one missed the mark. Despite this, it’s a great go-to spot in Munich for tapas and atmosphere!

Unfortunately, the tapas were not only tasteless and completely authentic, but also caused massive stomach problems. Bartender friendly, but table service unfriendly and disinterested.

Nothing Spanish about the food - but portions were big, service very nice and the entire atmosphere was awesome. Will totally come back here for the good vibes ❤️

After I last visited the store during the Corona pandemic and was disappointed with the quality and portion size, I was very positively surprised last night! The ambience was as always, the Cordobar is very crowded, very narrow and very loud, you have to be able to handle that. The service was very attentive, friendly and quick, great! The quality of the food is excellent! I had the mixed starter with ham, salami and cheese, plus the divine baby ribs and bacon-wrapped dates, all freshly prepared and delicious! The prices are reasonable. It was a beautiful evening! Thanks!

There were two of us and we had tapas. The taste of all things was ok, but not so much that you would scream “wow”. What annoyed us most, however, were the portion sizes. With the bacon-wrapped dates you get a lousy 4 dates - which makes me think the portion is overpriced. 4 prawns (although quite large) are no reason to order it again. The fried sardines are a really huge dish in proportion - one could almost say too much. I also asked the waitress if there was bread with the tapas, she said no, whereupon I ordered a bread basket extra. In the end, two out of three tapas had bread slices for what I needed the bread for. Oh well... All in all, you have to say. It was ok but somehow not quite right. Unfortunately it didn't really pick us up in terms of food.

prices are a bit too much for the small tapas you get. service wasn’t friendly. there was no music in the back area where we ate. we asked a couple of times and they tried to turn it up but it wasn’t audible.

Food was good. We didn’t like that two different waiters came to ask us if they can take our plates while obviously we were still eating and taking it slowly 😅 after 2.5 hours the manager came to see if want something else and we asked to pay. Very rude- if you have a reservation after us, just please let us know until when our reservation is valid and not interrupt us every 15 min, because we did not feel welcomed.

We ordered one of these tapas menus to share, the ribs were delicious! As well as the dates with bacon. These are a good option for a group to try different food. On the other hand, we also ordered a Paella for 2, but we could only eat the fish/sea food in it because the rice was so salty it made us just want to drink water and stop eating. Sangria and Tinto de verano were ok. Service was exceptional, very attentive personal.

We ended our wedding here with our friends and it was wonderful. Unfortunately, the food requests discussed in advance were not communicated well, so we had to look for what to eat again from the emails. But that didn't detract from the good mood and the great service. As expected, tapas and drinks were great again! We felt super comfortable and will definitely come back.

If you visit Munich, don't skip Cordo Bar!!! Great service and food 👍👏

I was not at all impressed by the dishes, the tapas dishes that I ordered. The sardines were not fresh, they were falling apart. I probably shouldn't have ordered because I know that sardines are desirable to be eaten in the months of the year that have the letter "r" in the word. The pimientos del padron peppers were soft and that was it, the baby calamari were like the ones you can buy at the supermarket. It wasn't cheap or good at all. The luck of the place is that they have tables outside and since it was very hot in August, everyone was looking for a table outside. It didn't seem to me at all to be related to the Spanish style of tapas.

Very kind team, they were really nice even if we arrived quite late in the evening. We were able to eat some tapas that were really good (the albondigas were really good but the pluma was really delicious). A really nice meal.

In the Cordo Bar you can get authentic tapas at a fair price. I always like to come back. The plates for several people are well coordinated and the quantity is perfect. We had an excellent meal here, the service was again great and the drinks were unusual and very good. I'd love to come back when I'm craving Spanish food again.

Food is not authentic Spanish. Gazpacho was more a spicy tomato soup, tortilla was dry and they serve the wrong sauce. Alioli was tasty, however we never eat it with tortilla, we eat it with patatas bravas. Pimientos de padrón were alright, just no need to serve them with little sticks, you pick then from their tail. Food was not freshly cooked but preheated at the moment. The restaurant is kind of pretty, however it’s full of bullfighting art, and many Spanish people don’t share and like that culture. Overall everything was fine to eat, not a bad place but not good either, and expensive.

Extremely tasty, even if the portions were really a bit small. Very fine for that. You can easily spend 50-60 euros. It's definitely worth it, a wonderful taste experience.

There are ONLY good things to say about this location. We let Noah choose our food as we were a little overwhelmed. From the drinks to the food and the atmosphere, everything was great... Thank you dear Noah...

A nice restaurant with very nice service. However, in my opinion the price-performance ratio is not quite right. For €10.80 you get just 4 prawns and for €7 you get 4 dates. In general, the portions are very small, so you pay a lot of money not to be really full at the end, which is common with tapas but not to this extent. The spare ribs are very tasty, but unfortunately there is a lot of meat and a dip for the whole meal could have been included. The Cordo Bar is actually a nice place, but the ratio of price to portion size is not quite right.

It was really good for, no one is rushing for you for do the order which is very rare in Munich! Chill staffs, great Spanish style starters and good drinks as well!

We asked if we could sit at another table and the waitress allowed us to do so. A short time later an angry boss came (we assume) and asked who gave us permission, saying we couldn't just follow the instructions. We were ignored for the rest of the evening (probably the punishment for being so cheeky and changing your mind..) and after finally placing our order with the wrong person we were asked to leave. If there were difficulties with communication, the situation could have been handled more nicely.

Disappointing. Owner tries to have bad reviews on Google deleted as defamation, even if they are written in an absolutely factual manner.

Didn't quite meet my expectations.

We just wanted something to drink and chat. The service was courteous and nice. They let us sit next to two drinks for hours. Of course we did another round. Then we got hungry because the others started eating next to us. Everything smells so good, too good! The drinks, Hugos, were the best we had drunk in town. Atmosphere is great! We'll be back soon!

Super tasty tapas. We also had the paella for 2, which tasted very good. Service & ambience were great. There are Augustiner alcohol-free. We recommend!

In my opinion, the food is not as authentic as you would expect for Spanish cuisine. The atmosphere is also rather “un-Spanish”. There are better Spanish restaurants in Munich that are not more expensive.

Cordobar has always been very good. I find the concept very original. Everything, and there are a few different small dishes, tastes excellent. The staff is very friendly and customer oriented, that's how it should be. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Extremely rude, arrogant and racist hostess. There were many tables free outside and we were told to just come on by. My elderly mother in law sat at one of the free tables and the hostess started shouting at us and giving dirty looks saying we shouldn’t be sitting down without permission. Notwithstanding there were numerous free tables everywhere. We left and will never return. Best to stay away from this place

Mmmhhh 😋 these tapas are absolutely excellent

A fantastic experience! Last Wednesday I wanted to watch the football game between Germany and Hungary with seven friends. We originally reserved a table at another restaurant, but that didn't work out. We asked here spontaneously and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They specially changed the reservations of other guests so that all guests had space - both us and the others. The food and drinks came very quickly and we always made sure that our glasses were always filled. The service was first class and extremely accommodating. It was a thoroughly successful visit and we will definitely be happy to come back!

Unfortunately this was one of the worst service I have ever had. The portions of the food were really small. The taste was nothing special but I know that for the Germans it tastes perfect. Still not for the Mediterranean people. There was a very loud company and no one asked them to be more quiet. And the food came after 30 minutes even though only 10 tables were busy at that moment. So it is a one star but I would put zero if I could.

You can put together as many tapas as you like and there is a large vegetarian selection. I enjoyed all the tapas I ordered and the octopus was also very soft. On warm days you can also sit outside.

Very nice tapas bar. I would return

It's a shame, I've been here many times and today the store unfortunately completely disappointed me. We waited over an hour for our food and some of it arrived cold. The food itself still tasted good, but it wasn't the fault of the cook. The plates on the next tables were all uncleared - even after we left the restaurant. The service leaves a lot to be desired.

Cordo is my favorite location in Munich 😀. Bob and Franzi are the best.

I want to put it like this: There is still room for improvement in terms of service and food.

Update May 9, 2024 Unfortunately, quality has not improved and the portions are now smaller and more expensive. You now only get 2 small churros for €5.60. Really disappointing. Original review: The tapas are ok. The artichokes, on the other hand, were very well prepared. The churros are typical Spanish churros, but are unfortunately only served with a very small chocolate dipping bowl. You can't get a table here in the evening without a reservation, but that's typical in Munich. The waiting time until placement was moderate at 10 minutes.

Twice here, waited for almost an hour twice - despite reservations. The waitresses are very friendly and the food is delicious, but that's still not possible. Ps: This is a copy of my old review. CordoBar actually took down this review for alleged defamation even though it was true. Unbelievable, I won't accept that as a matter of principle and will upload it again. I was here again two weeks ago and this time it worked relatively well. I might have adjusted the post but that's now an absolute no go... the 4.4 seems to be glossed over if that happens often

Unfortunately not recommended. The food wasn't hot and the chicken was raw inside. The owner is trying to have bad reviews deleted using “slander”. Danger.

Sangria is more of a bad punch with mineral water! Wine room temperature about 24 degrees recommended 14 degrees on the bottle, bad. Food disaster! Pance and tomato completely soggy, probably made in the morning and served in the evening, scampi has a massive lemon flavor, more like toilet stone. Pattatas bravas, soggy potatoes and not remotely close to a Spanish dish! Croquettas de Jamon are totally over salted and you're worried about the consistency! If you know good Spanish food, don't go there. Recommended the ribs, still water, pimentos. Luckily two dishes were not brought. Food and drinks disastrous!!!!! Service really top! I would hire all of these people immediately! This has nothing to do with Spanish food! Save your money for this meal! Luckily we didn't have any tortillas! Never again!!!

This is a top place in the city center. Food was great, and service was also very friendly. If you choose tapas, it's also very fast and you don't need to wait for too long. You can also sit outside and enjoy the view and nice weather.

A positive thing about our evening in the Cordo Bar was the waitresses, who were very friendly and attentive. There is also a large selection of tapas, including for vegetarians, which is not a given. Unfortunately, everything else was negative. Apart from the fact that it was very loud, I was disappointed in the taste of all the tapas we ordered. All of them were bland and didn't really taste like much. I was also extremely surprised by the portion size combined with the high prices of the tapas. For example, you can get three small shrimps for just under €10 or no less than two meatballs for €8. It's a shame when you're looking forward to a nice evening and spend a lot of money on it and then you get food that tastes so bland and you can't even get enough of it. All in all, the Cordo Bar was unfortunately a disappointing experience that would definitely not be worth going back to. There are significantly better alternatives in Munich, both in terms of price and taste.

We sat in the back, which is much more pleasant and less noisy. Food was good, not the best tapas in town, but still tasty. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The food was good as always. The service is top. However, table reservations are limited in time. I wouldn't recommend it to a larger group with whom you want to sit for a longer period of time. It's great for eating and moving on.

As a Spanish I can tell you that the dishes were from everywhere but not from Spain. Low quality food but good service.

It's actually a really nice bar. But there's a lot of noise inside, very overheated on the day of your visit. The reason I won't go to them again is the underground service. I joined a group later and couldn't manage to order a simple beer at the high table. The first waiter forgot it. Even for an hour afterwards, no one came to the table to ask questions. We then got drinks straight from the counter. Empty glasses were then removed after 90 minutes, again without asking for further requests. Very bad, no recommendation.

This ill-fated restaurant with a clever name, which claims to offer typical Spanish tapas, actually offers a poor and confusing mix of dishes that have nothing to do with its original country. The most notable ingredients were conspicuous by their absence, as demonstrated by some ham croquettes that, mysteriously, did not contain the appreciated pork delicacy, and a portion of octopus that turned out not to be such, but from a very inferior cephalopod. These severe negligences, together with the surprising consideration of "almonds" as a tapa, constitute, well analyzed, a serious offense to the Spanish nation and its cuisine. Not satisfied with earning our culinary enmity, they also decided to earn it through customer service. In my particular case, when I ordered a portion of potatoes with Manchego cheese sauce, they unexpectedly brought me a cheese tasting with salad, which I obviously asked to rectify as a matter of urgency. I had to wait twenty minutes for them to serve me the desired potatoes, which, without precedent, were good to eat. Finally, a double violation occurred when it was time to charge for dinner: a young Teutonic waiter had the audacity to proceed with the payment without first producing the payment receipt. The amount, furthermore, was colossal taking into account the quantity of the rations. The impression one gets from this joint is that corruption of conduct is the order of the day and the conclusion would be that the owners of the restaurant know the same about Spain as I do about the Aleutian Islands

Great time at Spanish tapas restaurant! Super-friendly service, cozy atmosphere, every dish – delicious and authentic. A culinary highlight!

Nothing special but they have lots of room inside, which is very valuable in an area of Munich where every other bar is bursting at the seams on Fridays and Saturdays. If everything else is full, you can usually still get a table at the Cordo Bar. :) I've only had positive experiences with the service. I guess my only complaint is that the drinks are pretty expensive, particularly considering not much care is put into them.

The food is very good, different tapas to choose from, the manchego cheese with watermelon is one of the ones I liked the most. The service was also good, staff were very attentive and patient with those who don't speak German. Sometimes there is live music, but not always in the "atmosphere" of the restaurant.

Good service and atmosphere. Most portions even for tapas are too small or a bit overpriced. I will definitely go again but they should review some portions (like olives, albondigas and pimientos padron). The potatoes from patatas bravas were delicious but the sauce could be improved.

Das ist mal ein tolles Lokal mit Andalusischem Flair. Ich selbst komme dort her und bin vom Geschmack des Essens begeistert da es schmeckt wie zuhause. Ich werde auf jeden Fall mit meiner gesamten Familie vorbeikommen. Die Preise sind für 5 Tapas und eine Paella für zwei mehr als nur mega da wir insgesamt mit Trinkgeld nur 80€ bezahlt haben und man sollte nicht vergessen das auch nur 4 Getränke, eins davon alkoholisch auch noch dabei waren.

Service top, sehr freundlich. Was das Essen angeht: Die Artischocken und Pimientos waren wunderbar zubereitet. Was mich allerdings wirklich enttäuscht hat war die Tortilla, mein spanisches Lieblingsessen. Die kriegt man in Spanien (sowohl in Restaurants als auch privat bei der Familie) in 99% der Fälle besser als die, die uns gestern als Mini-Stück serviert wurde. Ich denke mit dem richtigen Olivenöl und der richtigen Zusammenstellung von Kartoffel und Ei kann das besser gelingen. Insgesamt ein schöner Besuch (dank des netten Services und des Ambientes vor allem!), allerdings spare ich mir mein nächstes Tapasessen (auch aufgrund des Preis-Leistungsverhältnisses) wohl doch lieber für meinen nächsten Spanien-Besuch auf.

Das Essen war lecker und fanden es toll, dass es vegane Alternativen gab. Leider Dessert gab nichts Veganes. Wir haben vor Wochen schon für 15 Personen reserviert, die wir nochmal kurz davor bestätigt haben. Trotzdem haben wir einen Tisch bekommen, wo wir nicht alle uns hinsetzen konnten. Das war sehr ärgerlich. Auch mit dem Kuchen war es nicht eindeutig geklärt. Es hieß am Telefon, dass sie 2€ pro Person extra nehmen, wenn wir nicht ihre eigene Kuchen nehmen, was natürlich nicht Vegan war. Auf der Website steht nichts davon. Vor Ort hieß es, sie hätten keine Torten, es ist einfach Tellergeld. Die Platten statt a lá Carte war eine gute Idee für eine größere Gruppe, allerdings das Bezahlen wäre uns lieber gewesen, wenn wir getrennt hätten zahlen können. Die Bedienung war vor Ort sehr nett, allerdings sicherlich überfordert, weil wir auf die Bestellungen sehr lange warten mussten, teilweise nochmal bestellen müssen.

Wir haben einen tollen Abend hier verbringen dürfen. Ausgezeichneter Service und das Essen war richtig gut! Wir kommen wieder!
