There is only one BEST BAR in Munich 🫶🏾

The server was super friendly and funny. He saved the place. There was an animal in my cocktail! So I got a new one. The food wasn't anything special; I expected a bit more spice and freshness. The free shot and the chocolate piece were absolutely delicious.

Tapas in the Glockenbachviertel sounded promising, but ultimately proved a bit disappointing. Consistently delicious, traditional local dishes in small portions—the motto of tapas cuisine—is a compelling idea. But when the tortilla turns out to be a small slice of cake and the ribs look like a child's portion, the whole thing is certainly tasty, but not really filling. Then order more tapas, you might say. But then I end up with prices that are significantly too high for what's on offer.

Of all the Spanish restaurants I've tried in Munich, this is by far the most authentic. The food is delicious and not overly expensive (compared to other restaurants in the city). The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and decor, without falling into stereotypes or clichés. The staff is very friendly and attentive: they had no problem accommodating us at a specific table I requested for an anniversary dinner I booked. 100% recommended, I'll definitely be back again.

We were there for a drink and a celebration in a convivial atmosphere. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was fantastic – our waiter, Matze, not only kept our glasses full around the clock, but also created a truly great atmosphere. We'd love to come back!

The food tastes absolutely nothing. It was so bland, we didn't eat it. And it's very expensive. The shop itself is otherwise quite nice.

Friendly service and a nice place to sit (we sat outside), but the prices were far too high for the small portions, and the quality wasn't satisfactory either. We had a "platter" for two people, €47... There are far better tapas bars in Munich with better value for money.

They ripped us out! They charged our credit card 30 euro more than actual bill, when we realized and went back they didn’t accept it. Horrible place!! Don’t go there

We just had 2 cocktails: 2 Gin Basil Smash. They were nicely presented and tasted very good, a bit expensive though... Unfortunately, getting the bill took almost as long as drinking the cocktails 😕 even though the bar wasn't full.

No way would it be a 4.7 - I give it 3* for overpriced food with small portions. Since we weren't full for €70, we had fries for dessert across the street ☺️ We went here twice.

Food was pretty mid and way below my expectations. I went there on a Sunday afternoon. - The patata bravas were horrible, just some oven baked wedges with a dip. - The flank steak and fried aubergine with honey were good For substandard food, i felt the price is too high.

Authentic Spanish cuisine at fair, reasonable prices

Polite service. The food is delicious, the portions are average. The prices correspond to the quality. Overall, I was satisfied.

Not convinced anyone involved in this restaurant has ever actually been to Spain. Our "patatas bravas" was oven chips and dip... priced at €8.80. The "sangria" recipe was secret... but involved very little red wine and a whole lot of an unidentified cheap liquor. The "pan con..." was two thin slices of what tasted like supermarket baguette with a thin scraping of mediocre spread. Didn't finish any of it. €40 I'd have rather saved. Only redeeming feature was our friendly weiter. Maybe stop by for an Augustiner Bier, but don't bother with the food.

A place to enjoy: delicious tapas, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

We had a great time at this vibrant tapas bar. The atmosphere was lively, and the selection of tapas was impressive—though a bit on the pricier side. The real standouts of the evening were the drinks; the Basil Smash and Solero cocktails were exceptional and definitely worth trying. The only downside was the seating arrangement. We were given a table for a limited two-hour slot, after which we had to move to the bar. While the bar area was fine, it did feel like a compromise and slightly disrupted the flow of the evening. Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A great spot for quality tapas and cocktails—just be aware of the time limits on tables.

The price was a bit steep for us, but the food was delicious. Nice atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff.

Unfortunately, the service is no longer good. We had to ask twice for the chicken to arrive, and the bread basket only arrived after we asked for it. The food is good but overpriced.

The tinto de verano was good, but very expensive. 2 glasses for more 18 euros. This could be cheaper. The ambiance of the restaurant, in- and outside was appealing.

Fantastic food, I don't understand the bad reviews. The tapas are gigantic! Artichokes, prawns, octopus, calamari... absolutely delicious! The wine is also highly recommended!

It was just okay, nothing absolutely special or amazing. But it was the quickest food from order to table. You should give this place a try, just don’t let the high points make you think this place is absolutely amazing

The tapas were too expensive (I paid €30 and was still hungry when I left). The tortilla was made with undercooked potatoes, not enough eggs, and had a hard crust.

The menu listed "croquetas de jamón," but we were clearly served falafel – without any ham. When we pointed this out, the staff didn't understand and reacted dismissively. We knew this wasn't an authentic Spanish restaurant, but what we experienced here was very disappointing. The service was generally slow and somewhat unfriendly. The food itself was okay, but nothing special – especially not when you get something different than what you ordered. The restaurant has declined significantly over the years – it used to be better, and we definitely wouldn't recommend it!

FOOD AND PRICES: The food is good but not great and it is unfortunately definitely way too overpriced (about 30%-40 more) compared to similar tapas restaurants with much better food. Prices do not justify either the quality or the tapa size. That in itself does not make it a good choice for food. ATMOSPHERE: It is not run by spaniards and it is not a classical tapas place. It is a trendy, regular German bar for expensive drinks that happen to sell tapas. Service was good and friendly.

We went to Cordo Bar based on reviews. The service is very friendly and attentive. However, the place operates like a fast food joint, moving customers in & out as quickly as they can. Tapas are mediocre quality, nothing really stood up. Having traveled to Spain many times over the past decades, we know what Spanish tapas taste like. Cordo Bar is a middle of the road representation of Spanish cuisine. The place is ok if you are looking for a quick bite and willing to pay inflated prices for the quality of food.

A large selection of very good tapas, albeit a bit overpriced. The noise level was quite loud, but quite normal for a bar.

First of all, it took forever for us to even get a menu – unfortunately, the food was very limited, not tasty, and overpriced. The service staff is definitely not trained. What a shame – we won't be back!

the food was good but not great. i ordered four vegetarian tapas which i’ll rank by preference 1. goat cheese: this was my favorite 2. tortilla da la casa: this was fine but a little bland 3. patatas bravas: they were just plain potato wedges 4. aubergine fritters: these were too oily I think improving the sauces offered could take the food to the next level. Aioli and ketchup are way too basic. I don’t think i’ll return here because i’ve had better tapas in Munich

Unfortunately, the Cordo Bar fell far short of expectations. The food is sometimes catastrophic. The caipirinha was nothing but a caipirinha. Croquetas are frozen food and taste boring. Pulpo was overcooked, hard and barely seasoned, whereas the fried sardines were oversalted and more reminiscent of beef jerky than fish. The bright spots were the flank steak and the roast beef, although they were also over-seasoned. The service was the best part of the whole experience. To be fair, we didn't say anything in the restaurant, but we honestly didn't know how. We also went to the Cordo Bar because of the very good Google reviews, but it's a mystery to me how these came about. You can definitely spend more than 100 euros more sensibly elsewhere.

Nice tapas bar in Munich. The service was perfect. Funny, always at the table at the right time. We had various tapas and they were all very tasty. It's just not for those on a tight budget. You can spend a lot of money here. We liked it, except for the 2.5 hour rule. Were chased from the table because it was supposed to be sold again. Otherwise it would have been really perfect.

Food totally overpriced, you get 4 dates for 7€ Pork ribs were totally dry and overpriced at €12 5 shrimps for 12€ is also a disgrace. The prawns in garlic oil were a disappointment. Better go somewhere else!!!!

Not a bad place. The food is typical of the country. Portions are small. Our food/tapas no matter what was too salty. The condition took note of it and unfortunately no more! The performance doesn't justify the high price. Nevertheless, the store is well attended!? He charges extra money (€3.8) for the simplest white bread (four slices). Otherwise you won't get any bread with your Spanish meal 😊😂🤦🏻‍♂️

Excellent Spanish, great tapas - good suggestions for tapas platters. Nice + competent staff. The ambience is exceptional for Germany, you have the feeling you are in the middle of Andalusia.

What a nice place! There are plenty of seats, at least indoors, so I got a spot spontaneously without a reservation. There is a fairly large selection of vegan tapas here. The drink came immediately after ordering and the tapas within 5 minutes, I have never experienced it so quickly anywhere. It was a very cozy dinner and I was also allowed to charge my cell phone. What else do you need for a day in Munich!

Good evening everyone, this bar offers everything your culinary heart desires. No matter whether Kurros, patatas fritas or a classic light beer, the Cordobar is completely convincing. The friendly waiters in particular ensure a relaxing evening with their pleasant manner. The young Serbian newcomer deserves special mention, who, despite his tender age, routinely creates a good atmosphere. The entire atmosphere, including the staff, deserves all sorts of praise. I would love to come back and look forward to my next visit and the friendly young guys

We went there on a Tuesday night and it was full of people, definitely make a reservation. Food-wise, they have plenty of options for any type of diet, so it’s easy to find something for everyone. Taste-wise it’s not impressive but freshly prepared. Portions are quite small so you’ll have to calculate 2,3 tapas per person to really eat well. Sangria was not the best, but we still had 2L of it. The other wines we had from the menu were delicious. The service was impeccable, and our waiter took very good care of us.

Nice place to go for aperitivo even if always really crowded. It is quite expensive to be honest but it’s tapas in Germany so no wonder about that. What really makes the difference and encouraged me to put 5 stars was the service. The kindness and politeness of the waitress DANIELA really made the difference. I hope the owners are aware of this girl’s commitment and kindness.

New Year's Eve or not, I've never experienced a waitress forcing me to give a tip. After a discussion, she continued to insist on it because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to pay. I work as a trainee in the catering industry myself and understand the tipping problem, but as a regular worker or trainee I just don't think it's right to celebrate after tips (everything is expensive and everyone has to pay for their shit). I'm sorry that as a young 22 year old I don't can do more) The waitress was just brash and drunk and I don't know what to say about that

The Cordo Bar is a cozy tapas bar that is ideal for a cozy evening with friends or family. We chose the menu for three people and were more than happy with the selection. The offer was varied, enough for 3 people and of high quality. Everything seemed very freshly prepared. Eat: The dishes were consistently convincing. We particularly liked the calamari and the potatoes - both were perfectly prepared. The variety of dishes ensured there was something for everyone and the freshness of the ingredients was clearly noticeable. The price-performance ratio was also right: you get a lot of quality for your money here. The cocktails we had with it were also good. At around 12 euros per cocktail, they are reasonably priced and are perfect for rounding off the evening. service The service in the Cordo Bar surprised us very positively. Service was super nice! Otherwise it would be 2 stars less! The food was very German! Not exactly cheap and if you don't even get some bread with baked sardines or pork ribs for €12 but have to buy that too then that's not worthy of a "Spanish" tapas bar! It's the Gärtnerplatzviertel and you can afford it! Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

We were at a birthday event at the Cordo Bar and were super impressed by how great the ambience complemented the great service (thanks to Scott!) and the fantastic food.

Gluten-free meals and desserts were amazing. Michael was incredible and fully engaged in making the occasion special for everyone, especially in taking care of my gluten-free dietary needs. I truly appreciate this and highly recommend it.🫶✨️
