Bar Tapas an der Uni in München

The food was very tasty, regular drinks (beer, Spezi) were reasonably priced, but the schnapps and Hugo were, in my opinion, very overpriced. The noise from some of the guests was also quite loud, which caused a lot of noise (there was a birthday party in the area), and at times I could barely hear my friend speaking, and vice versa. But the food is highly recommended. Reservations are recommended.

When you're fed up with sausages, breaded steaks, and pork knuckle...don't hesitate to come here. The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the prices are in line with the city. Highly recommended.

As people have mentioned, the ordering system is a little strange. Food is good. Recommend the peppers especially. It reminded me of cucumber or zucchini. Squid, sardines, bacon wrapped dates, and chorizo were all decent. The paella was just okay. Outdoor seating was cooler than indoor but there was two really annoying wasps and some flies almost the entire time so you have to eat fast

We ate here for the first time today and were thrilled. We were lucky enough to get a table outside. By 7 p.m., everything was booked. Inside, you can browse the tapas, write down the number you want, and hand in the ticket. Even with a child and a vegetarian, everyone found something. The service was very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

An incredibly delicious and authentic tapas bar. It gets very busy, so reservations are definitely worth it. You can browse the tapas at the bar and then order whatever you fancy (€7.60 per tapas). We loved everything! I highly recommend this restaurant and definitely want to go back.

A thoroughly disappointing experience. This place serves Spanish food for people who’ve never actually had Spanish food. The jamón was a tragedy—looked and tasted like cheap grocery store ham, served on what seemed like frozen bread straight from Edeka. The food lacked any authenticity, flavor, or care. How this restaurant is rated 4.4 stars is beyond me. Hopefully a forgettable meal after having to regret it while still digesting.

Once again, delicious food. A wide selection of different tapas, including many vegetarian options. The selection of drinks also leaves nothing to be desired. We always enjoy coming here.

The tapas are truly outstanding – I especially recommend the garlic shrimp! The service is super friendly, and the seating is lovely both inside and outside. A relaxed, pleasant place near the university with great quality and a wide selection of tapas. I'd be happy to come back.

A disgrace! Unpleasant service. They brought us food we didn't order, telling us it was our fault because we had bad spelling. Sorry, I didn't know my job was to take orders instead of the waitress. The prices are exorbitant. On the plus side, I could add "server" as a skill on my LinkedIn profile.

The tapas were very tasty. However, I found it a bit expensive, as each portion costs around €8. If you only want vegetarian food, the value for money isn't that great. We ended up paying €50 for two people, even though we only had one water.

Unreserved recommendation in every respect, even if the prices for the individual tapas pull the corners of your mouth down a little, but you don't have to be there every evening

We went to this bar that we found in the area to eat some tapas and the truth was it was a very mixed experience, we arrived without a reservation and they gave us a period of one hour to eat (very kind gesture on the part of the staff), the service was fast and the waiting time for the food was relatively fast, it must be said that the menu is 80% drinks and only a few food items. If you are looking for tapas you have to go to the bar where they are displayed and identified with a number, write it down on a piece of paper and give it to the waiter, on my visit all the tapas cost 7.60. As for the food, some tapas were better than others with nothing to highlight and the most negative point was the unbearable noise inside the place, you couldn't even converse.

This is a place for young and young-at-heart people to sample predominantly Spanish dishes and specialties. It's also especially popular with students, as the tapas bar is located in the immediate vicinity of the university district. The restaurant is busy in the evenings, and you can enjoy your meal accompanied by modern and traditional music. The waiters are extra-motivated and first-class! Don't forget to reward them with a tip, so they can serve you at their best next time.

For me the best tapas bar in Munich, I have been a guest here for 15 years and have always had delicious tapas, friendly service and a lovely evening.

It was my first time there and for me it was the best tapas I've ever eaten. Well prepared, very nice waitresses who really know their job. You are given a piece of paper and a pen and can then easily make a selection based on the dishes on display. I think that's great - especially if you're not an absolute tapas pro. An institution in Munich for years. A long-run family business that never lacks quality. Even if there are queues at the door and the service staff have to rush inside, everything still runs smoothly and perfectly. The food is simply a 10/10. We like to come for birthdays and anniversaries because it is simply one of the most beautiful places to sit in a good mood and enjoy great food. If everything goes well, you'll even get a hierbas on the house at the end ;)

The food was really tasty and the staff was super friendly! But the volume… phew. According to the app it was an impressive 100 dB-A – roughly circular saw level. I could only partially understand my friends who were sitting directly across from me, which unfortunately made the whole thing quite stressful. A few acoustic panels on the ceiling could work wonders here and make the actually great ambience really comfortable again.

The variety of tapas is very big and the ones I had were all very good. Actually quite difficult to decide which ones to order.... We had one Paella as shared main dish on top. All in all a very tasty dinner.

Everything was super tasty. A bit too loud as it's too popular.

The food was good with so many choices. You walk around to see which dishes you want and write down on the paper, so it was a good experience as well. However, people can sit at the bar, which is in front of the food display, so it was a little bit inconvenient to see all the dishes. But overall, I highly recommend!

Food was mostly good. Some of it was a little too oily, and the olives were in a marinate that was a little strange. The the cheese croquettes and the bacon wrapped dates were the best things we got. We ate inside, even though it was a bit hot because there was too much smoking outside. The smoking isn't the restaurant's fault, but they could have put out some fans or something to make the dining room a little more comfortable.

The pork skewer was super tasty! Chicken and shrimp was also very special and good! I like almost everything!

We've been going here for about 15 years, better... The quality of the food and especially the service have continuously gotten worse, so we've finally had enough. Especially since the Schanigarten has been significantly expanded, the restaurant can be forgotten; the kitchen and service are absolutely overwhelmed with unacceptable waiting times for everything. The bad-tempered boss in particular is a no-go, anyone who thinks that you can treat guests like that doesn't understand gastronomy, even in Munich... That's it, it's a shame, but it's final...

I have been to the location several times with various friends and family and have always been very satisfied. This time, however, I was seriously disappointed. I made a special reservation and got a table in the far corner despite many free tables. In addition, the service staff showed little presence at the tables at the back (the neighboring table didn't seem happy about it either). Anyway… let’s get to the tapas. A lot of savings have been made here on the ingredients. Unfortunately, the taste is rather weak and the appearance is rather careless. Not to say 0815 tapas that you can prepare better yourself at home. Unfortunately the price is no longer suitable. But we didn't let it ruin our evening. However, I'm pretty sure we won't be going there again. There are certainly more authentic and better tapas bars in Munich.

Im spanish and i wanted to feel Home for one Night. Food is good, very important to once you are in the table get into the bar to see all the tapas and write the numbers, that is the system to order. Do NOT visit this restaurant if you rely on accurate dietary information. I have coeliac disease (so need strictly gluten free food) so called in advance to check if that would be ok, and was told that allergens are all clearly marked and there are a selection of dishes that are fully gluten free. On arrival I was initially impressed at the number of tapas dishes that were marked as not containing gluten, particularly some of the battered and fried fish dishes. I wasn't sure if there would be issues with cross contamination so asked about them, only to learn that the batter was made with wheat flour and they hadn't been labelled properly. On asking about some of the other tapas dishes one member of staff then produced a sheet which showed allergens, however this didn't match many of the displayed labels on the food, and another menu of staff took it away saying that it was incorrect (both of these also had discrepancies with the website, so there were 3 conflicting lists of allergens). In normal circumstances I would have left due to the lack of confidence, however many people in my group had ordered already and one of the waiters double checked everything I was ordering to confirm it was gluten-free, so against my better judgment I chose a few places that were the least likely to have issues and still ate them. Sadly it turns out that was a bad move, as although they weren't made with gluten they must have had been contaminated based on the stomach cramps and issues for the next couple of days.

Everything was okay but not exceptional. With the exception of the exceptionally bad house wine and the exceptionally good dessert. The service was nice but never came by itself, that could be a little better.

Amazing food by germany standards. Would recommend. If you compare it to spain and the paellas I had there it is lacking in many ways except the rice. The actual rice and the taste of it was on point. For somewhere outside spain as authentic as it gets.

Shame on this restaurant. The most racist restaurant I have ever visited! With a flattering face for German customers and a super ugly face for non-Germans. Needless to say the service is terrible and racist all the time. Always people ignore race and service what they think are higher race. It is ironic that they are not German themselves, where did they learn this kind of discrimination. This is not acceptable even in the mainstream of German society. The food is mediocre but much more expensive! I wonder how it can get such a high rating. Even for German customers who consider themselves a superior race, they are not that attentive.

Very varied and good tapas, the waitress Valeria is a sun and does her job wonderfully! The mushrooms, the salad and the potato omelet were delicious!

The Bar Tapas offers really delicious tapas with a large selection and very good quality. The atmosphere is cozy and not as over-the-top as some comparable restaurants. The service is nice and attentive. All in all very recommendable.

We've enjoyed being guests here for years, the food is just so delicious, the team is extremely friendly, everything just fits! Absolute tapas recommendation!

The food is absolutely top and also reasonably priced. It's also good that you can go through the individual dishes The bar can take eye protection. The service was good. When the store is full, the space can get a little tight and noisy

Really nice tapas bar with cozy vibes. Interesting recipes and friendly staff. Once I was able to find a table without reservation, but if you want to visit on the weekend it’s better to make one. The only thing I could mention is that the design of the space can be updated but still not an issue.

Too expensive for what is offered. 6.00 € for - the equivalent of - a pint of beer, and 11.40 € for six measly shrimps in garlic oil! Everyone has to decide for themselves...

Waren schon zum 2. Mal hier Essen. Die Tapas sind einfach phänomenal. Mit Abstand die Besten, die ich bis jetzt in Deutschland bekommen habe. Auch das System mit den ausgestellten Tapas-Variationen und dem Aufschreiben der Nummer finden wir super. Absolute Empfehlung!!

Sehr lecker, schönes Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung, war ein sehr schöner Abend.

Wir waren zu 4t Abendessen, ich tatsächlich das erste Mal Tapas essen. Jedes Paar hat sich 8 unterschiedliche Tapas-Varianten bestellt, es waren alle lecker. Beim nächsten Mal behalte ich einen Zettel für mich, damit ich weiß, was was ist... Einziger Abzug beim Ambiente (4 von 5 Sterne): Es ist sehr eng und relativ laut. Aber trotzdem werden wir sicher wieder kommen!

Essen war lecker. Mein Freund hat Paella Mixta bestellt und ich habe ZARZUELA DE PESCADO bestellt. Beide waren lecker, meins war bisschen salzig aber trotzdem habe ich alles auf gegessen. Service auch ok und sehr nett. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Die Bar Tapas begrüßt ihre Gäste mit gedimmtem Licht, das zusammen mit den farbigen Glasteelichtern ein schönes, warmes Ambiente schafft. Die Tapas werden wie gewohnt in der Auslage an der Theke ausgesucht und bei den sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Kellnern bestellt. Beim Service wird darauf geachtet, dass kalte und warme Tapas gleichzeitig am Tisch serviert werden bzw. die warmen zum Schluss kommen. Und egal was wir probiert haben - ob Pimientos, Boquerones, Patates, Verdures, Kichererbsensalat, Datteln im Speckmantel, gegrillter Mais usw. - alles war sehr, sehr lecker. Und auch die Nachspeisen, z. B. Mousse au Chocolat, Schokoladenkuchen oder Creme Catalane, sind es wert, probiert zu werden. Auch die Bar Tapas durfte seinen Außenbereich vergrößern. Dieser ist fest überdacht und gut vor (gerade fallend) Regen geschützt. Da in der Ecke speziell abends kaum Verkehr herrscht, ist es sehr angenehm, draußen zu sitzen. Vor allem, da sich drinnen die Luft arg staut Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen für einen schönen, gemütlichen Abend zu zweit oder mit mehr Personen.

Die Bedienung hatte zu viele Tische und daher keine Zeit dich entsprechend zu kümmern schade. Essen sehr gut, wir haben die Datteln im Speckmantel vermisst.

Sehr gut besuchte Tapas Bar, deshalb etwas laut. Die Tapas reichlich, vom Preis okay, nach der Bestellung mussten wir sehr lange auf unsere Tapas warten (1 Std). Service und Küche waren überfordert. Wir hatten eine sehr nette freundliche Bedienung, die aber leider nur selten schaffte vorbeizuschauen. Wir kommen aber trotzdem wieder!

Wir hatten 7 verschiedene Tapas bestellt. ALLE waren köstlich. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und hatten einen schönen Abend. Ich fand es eine gute Idee, dass die Tapas alle in einer Vitrine als "Muster" gezeigt wurden. So war es super einfach, die feinen Sachen auszuwählen. Wir mussten nur die Nummern auf einen Zettel schreiben. Praktisch und durchdacht.

Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Reservierung war problemlos gelaufen, die Auswahl an Tapas war echt groß und alles sehr lecker.
