No service at all, staff really rude, it's a pity a brand like this permit to owners like that, this devalue the brand.

Ate a super delicious pizza 🍕. I wasn't expecting that much for an airport, and you can't complain about the price. A lot of effort was put into the surrounding area (the airport), though. I'll be back.

The pizza was relatively small for the price and looked like a frozen pizza. The taste was okay, but nothing like an Italian pizza. Don't expect great service. We received some very strange comments when taking our order, which could easily be interpreted as sexist. First and last time – not recommended.

I specially pre-ordered three family pizzas the day before. At the agreed time, no one knew anything about the order... In the end, all the pizzas were the size of a well-intentioned, regular-sized pizza—but they were far from a family-sized one. Well, if the pizza was surprisingly small, at least the price was reasonable—just under €80. The one star is for the taste. Considering the circumstances, it was unexpectedly okay. First and last time...

If you don't feel like eating McDonald's but have a long flight ahead of you, you might consider Ciao Italia. Self-service, expensive prices, and a pizza that looks and tastes like it came from Aldi drastically lower the overall rating. It's not a total failure, though. At least you can sit outside in nice weather.

Why do foreigners come to other countries and have the audacity to be rude to tourist? I mistakenly sat down to wait for my bus here with coffee I purchased while in the airport, and the waiter approached me aggressively storming towards me telling I cannot sit there unless I buy something, put up a sign then. Each time I come here he’s cold and unfriendly and it makes me not want to order anything here. You people need a lesson in customer service and kindness.

A real Italian restaurant right by the airport! With open-air tables! Fair prices, delicious food. Where else can you find something like this? It can only be 5 stars. Yes, it could be a bit friendlier at times, and yes, not accepting credit cards is obviously really weird in this place – but otherwise, it's top notch!

Pizza isn't super big, but it's a reasonable size for the price. Crispy bottom. Topping was also good. Service could be friendlier in my opinion. Overall, an average pizza in my opinion.

After a long and tiring flight, I definitely needed a boost of energy. CiaoItalia prepares an excellent espresso with Borbone beans. If you deliver like that with espresso, I also trust you with food.

the food was tasty but the portions were small. Service is about who works.. when a young man was working it was not good service when a man was working it was clearly better.

Admittedly - the pizzas only look average visually, you think you immediately know that there isn't much to expect in terms of taste. But far from it: they taste surprisingly good - and they're cheap too (€12 for pizza + beer). The boss is casually Italian, the subtle deposit collector seems just as likeable. In short: you'll definitely find me here the next time you overbook a flight ;)

For a small restaurant between the streets of the arrivals level, it is really pleasantly decorated and a good place to eat too. Everyone was very friendly, and the service was very quick, even after I said I didn't have much time. The spaghetti arrabbiata was absolutely top. The pasta is al dente, the sauce is obviously homemade and nice and spicy.

Because of the flight I was only there 1 minute before closing time, but they still made me a fresh pizza and left it open longer so that I could eat it on site. Pizza itself was richly topped and had a perfect crust. And all for a very good price.

Yes, where do we start here. First of all, an employee tells me to wait a moment. Yes OK, that's fine. I did that too. Then an employee says to me. I should come in to order. A strange situation. Should I wait at the outside counter or come in? It's not clear why you can't order at the outside counter. Then he calls me “Amigo” and says there is no coffee for me. Then he just turns around and leaves me there. So that doesn't work at all. I'll never come here again. Perhaps the process for taking orders should be made better and clearer when it comes to to-go items. I found the tone towards a customer in general to be very bad and therefore only one star.

Definitely recommended! In contrast to the other places to eat, the prices are unbeatably cheap!!! The restaurant is located outside, between the lanes at a bus stop in front of T1 area B. They do not accept credit cards for amounts less than 30eur which seems incredible to me. The attention of the person at the counter was very unfriendly and dry. He seemed angry, as if it bothered him that I had come in to eat. I preferred to say thank you and leave without eating.

If you are very hungry, you can eat here. However, do not count on the quality of food or service similar to standard restaurants and Italian food.

I had to add a bottle of water, which I didn't want, because I could pay by card starting at 30 euros. The taste of the food is just as good as the price.

You need to order and pay before you take a seat, this should really be the first clue, paying up front! Front of house/ owner has quite an abrasive manner and is very to the point. I ordered a chicken salad which was good, although the 4 cold hard dough balls were an addition that was not needed. The pizza unfortunately was not cooked through, the thick base of dough was crisp on the reverse but was still raw under the cheese. I brought this to his attention but had to carry my plate over as he was too busy on his phone in front of the TV. I was told it was fine and the reason was because of the tomatoes, I think all pizzas have tomato and some are so crisp it’s unreal. I left after finishing my salad , he didn’t see me go as by now he was sitting in the kitchen on a bench, guess what, on his phone. Needs to improve customer service and quality of pizzas

Fresh pasta dishes cooked in a small eatery arez just outside the airport. Very practical pre-flight or just after you land. €8 for a very lovely and copious portion of spaghetti arabiatta. I will definitely return when I go back to Frankfurt airport. Good selection of coffees too.

Ciao Italia, has been in the same spot outside in front if Terminal 1 at Frankfurt / M airport for over 20 years. Even though much changes in 20 years, when in transit or connecting flights it is my favourite spot to take a break and not be inside of the actual airport building. It is surrounded by heavy construction for a long time in middle of intense hustle and bustle - this does have its impact on the overall experience... however it can be perceived as an "oasis" given the circumstances and your own state of mind.

Unfreundliche Bedienung, die mich darauf aufmerksam machte, dass Kartenzahlung erst ab 30€ möglich sei. In der heutigen Welt und direkt am Flughafen ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit. Rechnung gab es auf Nachfrage auch keine. Geschmacklich war der Cappuccino gut. Ambiente ist relativ, da man direkt am Busterminal sitzt.

Very lovely restaurant serving wonderful food but loud machinery and building works outside make for a somewhat disturbed lunch. The location however is very close to the airport terminal which is an advantage for definite. The staff, food and prices are very good and I will be visiting again.

Ich habe schon vieles erlebt wenn man am Flughafen essen und was trinken will, vor allem wenn man frische Luft und Tageslicht wünscht. Von Nepper, Schlepper und Bauernfänger war alles schon dabei. Hier aber gilt das nicht, ja optisch gibt die Lage nicht viel her. Aber die Menschen die dort arbeiten sind freundlich, das Essen schmeckt und der Preis ist voll in Ordnung. Es gibt sogar Grappa und diverse Kaffeespezialität!

After a long flight out, it was nice to sit outside. Pizza was okay, nothing spectacular, but prices were very reasonable, and the service was friendly.

Super lecker, Preisleistungsverhältniss top, da zahlt man woanders mehr und schmeckt halb so gut. Weiterempfehlenung zu 100 %.

Mega leckere Pizza 🍕, Preis-Leistung ist top. Ich habe für eine Pizza und Cola gerade Mal 11€ bezahlt. Der Preis und direkt am Flughafen, ich komme gerne da essen. Hier kann man auch guten Wein und sehr guten Kaffee bekommen. Leider nur EC und Bar Zahlung möglich. Visa und Master und co geht leider nicht, find ich bisschen schade, wenn man schon ein Lokal am Flughafen hat.

Laden sag als ich drinne war in Ordnung aus. Ich wollte nur ein Cappuccino trinken hatte leider aber nur einen 50 Euro Schein dabei. Musste wieder gehen weil die mir kein rückgeld anbieten konnten. Welcher Laden hat denn bitte keine 20 er scheine 10 er scheine und bisschen Kleingeld ? Naja vielleicht nächstes Jahr.

Haben wieder vor unserem morgigen Abflug dort gegessen, 2mal Pizza Caprese, plus Montepulciano und zum Nachtisch Espresso plus Averna/Grappa, sehr zufrieden, den nächsten Urlaub beginnen wir auch dort. Grazie, ha piaciuto molto, ci vediamo in Marzo 23 per le prossime vacanze!

We had all different pizzas and all were terrible. I think the frozen ones from.the supermarket are still better than the pizzas we had there. Forget about simpathy in this place, they never looked at you while ordering the pizza and while serving in. A place where you should never go and have a pizza. That place is an insult to Bella Italy

We were at Frankfurt airport waiting and we decided to go out to have some air and grab a drink, we saw this place and we ordered one beer and one glass of red wine , when we paid the bill was 6€ It was 3€ the beer and 3€ the wine . So cool, good price compared to the airport . After the drinks we got hungry, so we asked for the menu , and we ordered a salad and tortellinis, the pasta was good but the salad it was too much but not good salad (quantity but poor quality) . When I came to pay , by the way, you pay before you eat, i realized that it was a little bit too much, so i asked to make the bill again, and he was charging 3€ more , 1’50€ extra for drink , instead of 3€ this time it was 4’50€ .... I told him and he said “is the till... is not working good” but I also realized he didn’t even used the till to charge... anyway, the food is good , the pastas are good but not the salads , and be careful when you pay

I have been to this place for the first time to get a quick bite to eat. The pizzas didn't just look very good - they also tasted fantastic! Although the restaurant wasn't very busy (the major lunch rush-hour was over), it took quite a while to get the pizza served. Prices are, as to expect at a German airport, above average.

My husband's office is at airport. So I many a times join him for lunch. We love eating Pizza here. They also customize the Pizza. One can get delicious and customized vegetarian Pizza here. Service is quick and most importantly we love having lunch here.

Friendly host ,fair price real Italian food except the pizza.If you are staying in the hotel around Frankfort airport. I suggest you pay visit Ciao Italian for real meal with reasonable price.Bona petitu.
