Be careful with this location. The food was terrible, and the customer service was very poor. They even added a tip to our bill without our consent. Make sure to double-check your bill before leaving.

✈️ Traveled a lot, experienced a lot – but a visit to Lucullus? Clearly a very bad experience. "Service" would be an insult to the word. More appropriate: Attention, guests disrupt operations. The food is good – when it even arrives. Yes, Terminal Z has virtually no competition. But this? Absolutely unacceptable.

What a horrible service, actually no service! I assume this is why they brought in robots to service. They ask you to wait to be seated and then they are passing by for more than 10min without looking at your....and the place was not full! When you question them, they told you to go away. A shame for the service sector..

We waited 10 minutes for a seat for no apparent reason. There were several tables free and ready. The staff was so slow and unmotivated, exuding a truly negative vibe, even for an early morning meal. When we asked out of curiosity why we had to wait, one of the waitresses asked us to leave the restaurant... such a nice "Thank you for choosing us, and have a good trip" 😐

The setting was pleasant, but the waitress was very rude. After showing us a table almost by rolling her eyes, we ordered breakfast, but ultimately there were no more croissants. We asked for drinks only, and the rude waitress told us we couldn't stay if we only ordered drinks. We left without regret.

Slow service, antagonized by the use of dumb robots delivering the plates. Restaurant has the appearance of a proper sit down place for good food, but disappointed. Bruschetta was just diced tomatoes in oily toast. . Prosecco was served flat I’ve given up on having a main course. Not a nice break from air travel

Friendly service, but unfortunately the pasta was completely overcooked. Otherwise, the food was decent. It's okay for an airport, and the prices are typically competitive.

Absolutely stunned by the quality of food in an airport terminal! I ordered for the beef burger and a café crema. Portion sizes are gooood and everything tastes yummm 😋 It’s not a fast paced restaurant; so don’t come in until you have atleast an hour or more to board. My only critique is the amount of time taken to seat me and then for someone to tend to me or take my order. Plus I guess it wouldn’t harm if the staff were tad warm. Having said that, once the food and coffee arrived any negative feeling I had was 100% alleviated 😁 coz it’s truly good food! Kudos to the chef♥️

Server didn’t know his menu. Asked to replace salad on chicken sandwich with rocket. He brought it with salad - thinking chicken sandwich already came with rocket. He doesn’t know his own menu. And he was rude about it And said I was wrong. Hmmm.

I've never had worse service in my life. I echo other reviews where they completely ignore you for a long time and avoid you even when ask to order. Don't expect drinks or anything until half hour later. Super rude staff and poorly managed business.

Wai Thu and Hari are one of the most professional customer service and servers I have ever met. The food was awesome too. I recommend Lucullus Nero Authentic Italian Dining at Frankfurt Airport to lovers of good food. Though the circumstances that brought me to them was ugly. Lufthansa abdicating from their responsibilities for missed flights. That is a story for another day.

Terrible experience. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. The waitress was rude and dismissive, and the food was nowhere near authentic Italian. Definitely not worth the visit.

Ridiculously overpriced and the authenticity of the Italian menu is very questionable. The only redeeming factor it’s kind of hidden away in the corner. So if you can find a peaceful corner somewhere else in Terminal 1, go there and skip out on the meal, staying hungry ain’t that bad.

I stopped in with my 3 children during a layover on Saturday June 9th 2025. There was no one in line to be seated in front of us when we got there but the waitress and the girl behind the counter ignored us anyway. A group came up and asked to be seated and they were promptly seated. I was ready to go somewhere else at this point but my eldest really wanted the pasta, so I stayed against my better judgement. We were seated after the people who got there after us. I then watched the waitress seat two more couples who came up after us and take their orders before she came to our table. At this point I'm sure she's prejudice, and I was ready to get up and leave but she finally walked over and took our order. The 3 groups that came in after us all got their food before us. My eldest son liked his pasta but the burger my 10 year old ordered and my beyond meat burger were overcooked with black burnt cheese. I would never in life go back there for any reason. My ten year old ended up throwing up on the flight and my stomach was also upset. People who work in customer service need to leave their biases at home. I had to get up to ask to pay so we didn't miss our flight and the waitress still took payments from groups who came in after us - before she ever came and took my money. I would have gladly tipped 20% if she did her job and wasn't blatantly making me wait while she catered to people who she perceived would give her more money. It was an expensive disappointment and I won't ever second guess my gut feeling again when it comes to atmosphere. I spent $130 plus a 10% tip on two burgers a plate of pasta , fruit salad and four drinks.

Over price, service with a robot. The margarita pizza was a cheese pizza with basil in the middle. This place is an insult to Italian cuisine.

The reason why I'll give food 4 stars is because they gave me parazom cheese squares for the pizza, not the powder type, it doesn't get the cheese taste every bite.

We had a lay over between flights at the Frankfurt Airport in Germany and found Lucullus Nero. Ordered a Veggie Pizza, a Bacon Cheese Burger, a Beyond Meat Burger, a tall Franziskaner beer and shot of Fernet Branca (to help relax after a busy morning at the airport). The lunch was great. Quality food and presented nicely. Our meal was served to us tableside by a robot.

I visited this restaurant at Frankfurt Airport Terminal 1 before my flight. We had the cheese salad and aglio e olio pasta — the taste was decent and satisfying enough. Thanks to the large floor-to-ceiling windows, the space felt bright and open, and there were plenty of seats, which made for a relaxed dining experience. As expected for an airport location, the prices were slightly higher than outside restaurants, but this seemed reasonable given the convenience and setting.

After they sat us waited 15 min and no service. Lady who sat us down was not friendly or welcoming. Like she did me a favor by giving me a table. We left.

How is it, that, after a week in Ireland the best Irish steak I had was at an Italian restaurant in a German airport? The steak was seasoned well, and cooked to perfection. It’s in an airport, though, so obviously the atmosphere is not going to be great… There was plenty of space to sit and enjoy my meal. However, my main issue came with the staff. I could barely understand what my server was saying due to mumbling. And when it came time to pay I was pressured into giving a tip. I would have hoped it was an isolated experience but I saw it happen to the man who was paying right before me as well.

I always stop here to eat on my way home. The food is excellent, and the seating area is clean and comfortable. It’s a relaxing spot to take a break and enjoy a good meal.

I last visited here a year ago. It is my preferred food spot in Frankfurt airport! And the wait staff are really friendly - WaiThu my waitress even remembered me from my visit a year ago!

A pleasantly quiet seating area, ideal for a relaxed meal – something you can't take for granted, especially at an airport. A particularly practical feature: Some seats have a power outlet, perfect for charging your phone or laptop. The service was friendly and prompt. The pizza looked appetizing, but tasted rather average – okay, but not a highlight. The price was around €50 for two meals including drinks, which is absolutely reasonable for an airport restaurant.

We flew into Frankfurt mid afternoon, starved, when we chanced upon Lucullus Nero in terminal 1, Z gate. Initially, we were concerned that the place was practically empty, but took a chance on it and were glad we did. The food was excellent—freshly prepared and quite simply, scrumptious! Service was outstanding: shout out to our server Wai Thie, who was friendly, efficient and professional. We enjoyed Carbonara, Rigatoni Bolognese and finished our meal off sharing a generous serving of tiramusu plated with fresh mint and the sweetest strawberries, perfectly paired with dark hot cafe Americano—yum!!!

The food isn't worth the stop. The staff are great, friendly. But the price you pay for "!authentic" Italian isn't worth it. Quality is poor. Go somewhere else. The staff were excellent though.

This is an airport restaurant so there should be some sense of urgency and timeliness. Should have left after waiting 15 min for someone to take our order. Avoid this place. Worse airport restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Wife had to go back up and ask for her drink since they only brought mine. Terrible place.

Great place if you have 4+ hours layover. It took us 20 mins to be seated, another 10 minutes to be able to order and about one hour to get all the food we ordered. Some of us had to eat with tea spoons, the cuttlery never arrived. There were only two people waiting tables so not their fault. They simply could not manage so many customers. I was ok since I had 5 hours layover and this terminal doesnt have starbucks, nothing....Just this place and a pretzel stand so I was happy the service was slow and we could chill here. In fact, am still here waiting for the bill while writing this review:) Get a pretzel if you have only 2 hours otherwise you will miss your flight.

The food is a problem, specifically when you write authentic Italian Essen so big on your entrance, the pizza was under cooked and lacked any taste, the chicken burger was to say the lease ok, but nothing to talk about with 23 euros

The woman who helped me is a wonderful person. She give great service, it was so sweet! You should be proud to have her on your staff. Great experience, very professional top-notch.

A restaurant at the airport. It's 🆗. Of course it's too expensive for the quality. I would say that every Pizzeria in Italy has a better Pizza 🍕.

Bacon pasta is super salty, so salty, isn't salt free? The bacon is burnt, is it cooked carefully? How can such a simple dish be so salty, what's wrong with it? It's time to change the chef!

Haris was wonderful. The robot was cute, but not as personable. The experience was nice and the food was great.

The pasta definitely requires significant improvement. It had little in common with a true carbonara — it resembled more of a watery soup with minimal flavor and some spaghetti mixed with bacon. We ate it out of hunger, but I wouldn’t order something like this at the airport again. The beer was good.

Bad overpriced food… don’t go there. I ordered a medium steak came vert well done. Vegetables were mushy and potatoes were cold. Cafeteria style sides. Paid 50 euro for a steak and water. Resturant will trick you by not showing the prices on the menus infornt of the Resturant. You will not have a good food experience here. AVOID!!!

This restaurant was a breathe of fresh air after a long flight delay. Haris, the waiter, was attentive, friendly and accommodating.

Compared to other restaurants, it takes a really long time to take orders, serve food, and pay. It's not like he hasn't been to restaurants in Europe, but perhaps he's being annoying on purpose. When he sets the cutlery, he roughly gathers everything up and throws it in the middle of the table, and his tone is just rude. The pizza tasted good, but the pasta had a strange texture and tasted like cheap, thawed frozen food. I doubt it's actually frozen, but it's not cheap, so I recommend eating somewhere else.

I stood at the “please wait to be seated” sign for 10 minutes and was told “someone will be with you” three times and was never seated. It wasn’t even very busy. A really awful experience, even by airport standards. The people working there and whomever is managing them do not seem to care about doing a good job.

Coffee menu available, coffee machine behind the counter, but coffee cannot be purchased. 'We do not have it in our offer'.

I had a great experience at Lucille’s Nero at Frankfurt Airport, thanks to our amazing waitress, Wai. She was incredibly personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and made us feel truly welcome. Her warm and professional service really stood out. If I ever find myself at this airport again, I’ll definitely be back…thanks to Wai! P.S. love the robot

Arrived at the airport early in order to eat before our 11 hour flight. Showed up at the restaurant at 1840 and were told they were closed for the next hour for “break”. This is the only restaurant on the concourse and you close at dinner time, just ridiculous.

Wai Thu was our server and she was very good. Never had an issue and she was very kind. Completely enjoyed our experience with Wai Thu

Stood there for a while "waiting to be seated" while staff mulled about and ignored our existence. When I gently asked if we should just sit at one of the many open tables, I was rudely told to be patience because they were busy. Then, when someone did come over I was told that orders were not being taken until 2pm? Huh? Thanks, you saved me dropping money on your overpriced food. Learn some manners, it doesn't take much. I'd rather eat dirt of the floor than spend money in this place.

Despite the stress in the shop, the Haris did a perfect job, I left happy, the next time I fly from the Z gates I'll definitely be back!

28 of us wanted to eat there at 3 p.m and they didn't take us it would take 2 hours with a choice of 3 dishes....very few guests Where does it take 2 hours to cook noodles?

They never took my order, when raised my hands they just say if you are not patient you can go to the place next door. Usually got really good service in Germany and was spoiled by this experience at the airpor.

Mi vuelo de Vancouver, Canadá a Ciudad del Cabo, Sudáfrica tuvo una escala de 11 horas en el aeropuerto de Frankfurt. Alrededor de las 11 am del lunes, febrero. 17 , 2025 Pedí un zumo de naranja, ensalada de frutas y té. Fue bueno, aunque caro. A las 3. 30 pm por la tarde me registré de nuevo para un capuchino. El camarero me informó rápidamente que el restaurante solo sirve comida y bebidas juntos. Tendría que ir a tomar un café como comida para llevar en una taza desechable. Como un viajero cansado que necesita un buen café de tarde, me parece que este restaurante tiene el máximo beneficio, sin tener en cuenta las necesidades de los viajeros. Viajo a Sudáfrica al menos una vez al año. Coma en otro lugar en el aeropuerto de Frankfurt. No en Lúculo Nerón.

Food: Wide variety for an airport restaurant. Service: Excellent service, in my case very prompt and friendly, by Ms. Wai Thu (also helped by a funny robot). Atmosphere: I think it's the only place on Terminal Z where one can sit down away from the usual hubbub.
