So friendly and a really nice coffee shop with very good food.

That was exceptionally good! I had breakfast there and it was simply delicious. If I come back to Frankfurt, I'll definitely stop by again. Highly recommended!

My last experience at the Picnic Café City was unfortunately not so good. The café is very busy at peak times, and the service is slow. Yesterday, we had to wait almost an hour and a half for our food, and then our order didn't arrive in full. This can happen, but they usually announce it might take a little longer, or at least apologize for the long wait. Furthermore, guests who arrived after us received their food first. The fact that we had "more elaborate dishes" can't be used as an excuse here, as that wasn't the case. The food itself hasn't been consistently good the last few times either... Sometimes it tastes better, sometimes the food is extremely salty. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend the City Café.

It was so incredibly delicious. The hummus is rightly praised. I had the picnic plate with extra halloumi—it would have been enough without it. The eggplant and bread were the highlights. Super friendly service in a quiet location.

I've been wanting to go to the Picnic Cafe for years, and today I finally made it. And what can I say, I was definitely not disappointed! Very friendly, attentive service, a wonderful, cozy atmosphere, and the food... soooo delicious! In the mornings, they serve various breakfast dishes, but at lunch, they offer hummus dishes, stuffed pitta breads, tagine, various platters with small delicacies, and salad. They also serve chicken, halloumi, falafel, and goat cheese. Very generous portions, fantastic value for money. Simply amazing. Next, I'll try the breakfast and then come back for lunch, it looks like!

Simply wow! We had the Picnic Special Platter and the Falafel Platter – both super fresh, colorfully presented, and incredibly delicious. They were accompanied by homemade drinks with elderflower and cucumber, which were perfectly refreshing. The café has a truly cozy atmosphere; you immediately feel at home. The team is extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful – you can really tell they want to make their guests happy. A place you absolutely must visit when you're in Frankfurt. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Very fine food if you appreciate southern cuisine, especially Middle Eastern cuisine. Here, you'll find seating in an almost authentic oriental setting, a bit of cool shabby chic, reasonable prices, and consistently friendly and attentive service. I highly recommend it, and...the Goethe House is just around the corner...take a seat on the west-eastern divan.

This spot was recommended to me by two customs agents who strongly disliked Frankfurt but very much liked Picknick Cafe. It did not disappoint. Had I not travelled on the red-eye flight I would have been more adventurous. The yogurt with bananas and berries was excellent. The other dishes coming out of the kitchen appeared hefty and well portioned.

Great food and nice friendly staff. There were lots of wasps bothering us and Sofia brought over some burning coffee and there were no issues after that, she was great. It was a great help and would definitely come back again.

I really enjoyed the food and service. In the summer, you can also sit outside. However, the restrooms are in dire need of renovation; they're a disaster.

Oat milk costs extra! :(( Otherwise, the food there is really delicious! It's a shame to be penalized for caring about the environment and animals. A bit backward, in my opinion! And if the argument is that oat milk is rarely ordered and therefore doesn't sell well, then explain to me why lactose-free milk doesn't also have a surcharge? And if it's because of taxation, then please be so kind as a restaurant and spread the additional costs across several products... :( I'll be happy to come back as soon as plant-based milk doesn't cost extra anymore! :) because your food is really very good!

We were supposed to eat at the restaurant next door, but due to the waiters' indifference, we ended up at Picknick instead. Luckily! The food was delicious and the service was super friendly. Try the cheesecake—not classic, but absolutely delicious.

I used to really enjoy eating and drinking here when I visited Frankfurt. But I think the food has deteriorated so much. For the second time now, my tagine meatballs were so hard I couldn't even cut them. They were ice cold inside, as if they had been brought straight from the freezer to my table. Unfortunately, I no longer recommend them.

A very delicious restaurant, and the worker is very nice, her name is Sophia. She treated us all nicely. The food is all halal here, and there is nice outdoor seating, and the food is very delicious. I highly recommend visiting it.

The matcha drinks are only half full due to the foam and ice cubes. It seemed almost questionable to pay €6.50 for such a sparsely filled matcha drink. The value for money is simply not there. The blueberry quark cake is okay, but overall not worth the money.

Delicious food. Superbly seasoned with an exciting selection of dishes and a changing weekly menu. The portions aren't necessarily huge, and some of it is a bit pricey—that's my only criticism. But for such delicious food, you're happy to spend the money every now and then. The service is very friendly and attentive. I felt at home here! The ambiance was really cozy. It was a bit annoying that we were asked for money twice by two homeless people. It was a bit irritating and annoying that we couldn't enjoy our meal in peace. But the poverty in Frankfurt is simply great, and that's part of it. I'd love to come back and try the menu. I had the shakshuka with asparagus and bread (from the weekly menu) 🍳. Perfectly seasoned and highly recommended!

We sat there for 30 minutes without being noticed. We didn't say hello or get a card. Never again.

The restaurant is sweetly decorated, but unfortunately, the seating is very close together. For lunch on Saturday, we managed to get a table for three without a reservation, but I recommend going alone or as a couple due to the small tables. Unfortunately, I've had the problem several times that the waitresses aren't particularly friendly, except for one waitress with long, curly hair, who is always really sweet! The food is always delicious, but the matcha is really not recommended at all! The tropical matcha was a bit small for €6.50, but much worse was the poor quality and small amount of the matcha. If it's not a well-made drink and barely tastes like matcha, let alone good matcha, then you shouldn't offer it. Otherwise, the food is highly recommended :)

This was my second time there. The location of the picnic café is great. The service is very friendly. The food is slightly overpriced and lacked some pizzazz. Hence a solid 3 stars.

We were very pleased with the large selection of sweet and savory dishes. The picnic plate was really very tasty, we would especially like to highlight the delicious hummus. The selection is so large that we will definitely have to come back again. Unfortunately, the vegan cake selection wasn't particularly great during our visit, there was only a vegan chocolate banana bread. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

An Arabic restaurant in central Frankfurt serving Arab and non-Arab dishes The taste is okay He ordered hummus and shakshuka and they served it in one plate. Shakshuka is half-boiled eggs, not like what we know. The price is expensive, of course. Breakfast for one person is 24 euros The employee's behavior was very bad and she was rude in her way of speaking

This is a fun restaurant serving Moroccan-Oriental cuisine. They have a couple branches around the city. We stopped by and had a very good lunch at their Weißadlergasse just north of Berlinergasse recently. They have a small interior with a bit of a tight fit. There are some outdoor tables as well which will work great during warmer months of the year. We very much enjoyed our meal at Picknick Cafe. Menu features a nice selection of healthy and vegetarian friendly Moroccan dishes with a bit of an Asian twist. We liked the Veg Tagine. Even better was the Falafel, hummus and lentil dish, this was a very good combination, nicely prepared and tasted great. Service was friendly and timely, prices reasonable for the dish quality. Would gladly return for another lunch at Picknick Cafe based on this recent experience.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The waitress was incredibly friendly and thoughtful. Food and drinks came quickly and it was absolutely delicious. We had the vegan sandwich and pancakes twice. Also a freshly squeezed juice, which was also very good. It was definitely worth it!

Staff was extremely friendly and outgoing, offering an English menu and letting us take our time to order. The food was all made fresh and was extremely delicious, my fiance was very impressed by the vegan and vegetarian food. All around a really fantastic experience.

This place was a recommendation from my tour guide and it’s sooooo delightful! The food is really good! And the servers are so friendly! I could spend the whole afternoon here reading and enjoying! I don’t live in the area, but if I did I would bring my friends and family here. Would also recommend the tea! And one of the better coffees I’ve had in Germany.

Been there several times and like it very much. Great food, nice and quick service. There is also a large outdoor seating area when the weather is good. Price-performance ratio is also right here. I love the picnic plate. Important note: The rooms are very narrow and you sit very close to other guests. Not everyone likes that. Small criticism: I personally find the outside seating a bit uncomfortable/impractical and not of that high quality.

While roaming around Zeil area, we came across this beautiful cafe. We were very impressed with the veg and gluten free options available here. In alcoholic drinks they were serving only wine and beers. We started with white wine. The quantity served was quite large compare to normal. Then we had falafel wrap which was very good. The service was very fast and prompt. We liked the outdoor seating on a pleasant afternoon. Worth visiting...

Wow! Great, fantastic, delicious... I could be overwhelmed with excitement! Only the ambience deducts one star... it's more due to the infrastructure... Too narrow, tables too small, busy street, you feel like you're sitting in the middle of a crowd of pedestrians... Still absolutely recommended!!! Reservation strongly recommended.

Favorite brunch place in Frankfurt!

The Picnic is a nice, well-located café in downtown Frankfurt that offers delicious vegan oriental brunch and lunch (both hearty and sweet).🌱 The ambience is very inviting and there are some seats both inside and outside. Some of the outdoor spaces are equipped with blankets and heat lamps. The food was beautifully prepared, super tasty and really plentiful. There is also a nice selection of different drinks. As a small note: We would have been happy about a slightly cheaper alternative to the very expensive sparkling wine. 🥂 The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our order. All in all: Definitely a great place for a culinary experience! Service 5/5 Ambience 5/5 vegan selection 4.5/5 Taste 5/5 Price 4/5
