Club Social Mexicano in Frankfurt am Main

My husband, daughter, and I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant—not just once, but twice! The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, but what really made our visits special was the outstanding service. Our waiter Nikita, was incredibly kind, personable, welcoming, and attentive. He made us feel right at home and genuinely cared about our experience. It was such a pleasure that we made sure to come back again, and we’re so glad we did. Highly recommend this place for both the amazing food and the wonderful staff!

Went there for lunch, three tables occupied by two waiters. Still, it was extremely slow service. If you want real Mexican food, you should give this a wide berth.

Unfortunately we didn't like the tacos. Unfortunately, we were hungry and 70 euros lighter (3 people). The service was very nice, so it was a bit of a letdown.

Übelst. Würde null Sterne geben wenn ich könnte. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und wir haben über 40 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet. Der Laden ist schmuddelig. Wir wollten dem Essen eine Chance geben aber dieses ist zum Wegglaufen.

Mediocre visit. Even though the store was not very busy, we waited a long time before we could order and then we waited a long time for the food. Unfortunately, the food isn't authentically Mexican in the slightest. Store looks dingy. We were there for 1.5 hours and the neighboring tables were not cleared (see photos). We can avoid trying again.

What a great evening! Eating out depends on the food, of course. But part of the experience is always the staff and that is first class here. In a good mood, as attentive as you can be when the store is full. Great cocktails, great music, great food, great shop. A perfect evening 🤩

It was my first time eating there with my family. The boss Lucas Toro is great! He brought us to the table at reception and received a warm welcome. Our service, the name has unfortunately been omitted! BIG PRAISE! We had a lot of fun, laughed and he took great care of us. We didn't miss anything. The food looked great, very tasty and the atmosphere in the restaurant as well as the staff in team 1a including great music from the DJ A thank you to the whole team! We'll be back!

We had a wonderful evening! Lucas greeted us warmly upon entering and escorted us to a wonderful table. The atmosphere was simply fantastic – stylish, cozy, and with a fantastic DJ who created the perfect mood. Special praise goes to our server, who was not only incredibly friendly and attentive, but also gave us excellent advice. She explained the dishes to us with great expertise, made great recommendations, and told us all about the drinks we enjoyed. You rarely find such passion and warmth in service! The entire team was fantastic – dedicated, welcoming, and always with a smile. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back. A big thank you for this wonderful evening and the team!

Drinks and the food itself were good, but it’s a tourist trap. Portions are for abcrombie and fitch models and the prices are for nepo babies. Also it’s barbaric to charge 7 euro for chips and salsa and then proceed to give out 2 tablespoons of salsa and a small bowl of chips.

The only 100% real Mexican thing in the restaurant was… me! Nice vibes and nice staff but the food is an overpriced weird version of Mexican dishes. It’s ok to be “original” but your tortilla is way to stiff! For that price I’m sure you can afford a freshly made tortilla. BTW, kudos on the live dj :))

Location is great, many waiters work on weekends and are hard-working. The music isn't too loud, just right for a conversation. Like others, I don't think the price/performance ratio is appropriate in relation to the portions, otherwise it was tasty.

This place has it all, great atmosphere, friendly service, great food, excellent drinks and good music.

The open kitchen is great! But to me personally, each plate has its own flavor and generally too salty for me. And one point is the waiter … they are very nice but not attentive. I asked twice the dessert menu and bills, but no one came, for the purpose of speeding up, maybe I shall pretend to just wear jacket and walk away?

We have been here several times until the end of 2024. Of course the restaurant is not inexpensive, but it offered exciting Mexican dishes and a great atmosphere. At the beginning of 2025, the menu was reduced by almost 40%, what remains are the standard dishes rather than the special ones. The waiter justified this with the planned reduction in waiting times, but we still waited 90 minutes for the food... It's a shame, but that will probably be the last visit.

I went with my friends for the first time to eat there. The place has a modern and chic concept. I am Mexican, I loved the place 💖. The food tastes really good and is gourmet style. The staff does not speak Spanish, apart from the chefs, by the way, they very friendly greeted me 👋. But one of the waiters, with long hair and a beard, his attitude was very rude and despotic; I didn't like the way he treated us. But I would really eat there again, but I would prefer to have another waiter serve us. Otherwise, everything was 👌.

I was invited to a business lunch and was quite skeptical about Mexican cuisine. It was simply a taste experience and I can only recommend it. Rarely have I tried such a good salad dressing. There are also plenty of options for vegetarians.

Very bad place, it took a lot of time for the starters and we didn't have time to order main courses and suddenly the kitchen closed at 9:15 PM without notice

From the opening in 2022 until early 2024 this restaurant was absolutely great. The music selection has never matched the Mexican atmosphere and it was too loud, but the food was great. Tonight 08 February is our last visit. Our table was not ready when we arrived and we had to wait to figure out where we are being seated, we were even asked to come 15 minutes early. They changed the quantity/size of the Margarita bottle to a lesser amount but raised the price to 90 euros from 80 euros. The main course took more than 45-50 minutes after we finished our appetizers, where we had to ask if they had forgotten our order. Others with larger parties came in after us and had their appetizers and main course served before ours. Right away from the food presentation we realized this is a different chef. The tortillas were soggy where they fell apart as you try to eat the tacos, the tacos were overfilled, and all the garnish on top is ridiculous. Overall it was not a pleasant dinner nor tasteful as it used to be before. I left two tacos on the plate untouched as it was not good at all. They've also reduced their menu drastically to cater to the European palette. The server was not too attentive to check on the table and we had to flag him down for asking for our food, to ordering more drinks, and to pay. This restaurant has lost it better moments and great food from before.

Underground. The Caesar salad came with reheated pieces of chicken with gooey, pale skin. The meat was dried out. We had it returned and they still charged it in full.

Delicious drinks that, contrary to some reviews, were brought to the table very quickly, and very good food. With two shared starters and one main course each, the three of us were very satisfied and full, but we still didn't miss the churros for dessert. The service was very attentive, friendly and courteous, which is unfortunately no longer standard these days. The fact that the restaurant has a slightly higher price level should come as no surprise if you do a little research before your visit - but for the service and the food on offer including drinks, it is definitely justified in Frankfurt.

We ate there a few days ago because we were visiting Frankfurt. Super nice restaurant. The nice waiter Baris brought us delicious nachos with homemade dips. The main course tasted excellent. Had a really brilliant evening here. All the dishes we ordered looked impressive and tasted really great. Ambience is very strong and everything looks really good. You sit very well. When we visited there was a live DJ who played really well and it was neither too loud nor too quiet.

This was our second time in the restaurant. The first time everything just worked. The employee (tall, long dark hair) should get a raise. The food was made even better by the really nice gentleman. That was also the reason why we visited the restaurant again. But this time a lot of things were just totally underground. The employee constantly tried to sell us extra things, regardless of whether we even wanted them. Everyone else had chips on their seats as a nice gesture, we got them after 45 minutes and only after asking and after the starter had already been there. Here too, 20 minutes passed before the employee took action. The soda we got (after 30 minutes) was not carbonated because the water was tapped, which is not acceptable for a restaurant that claims to be a bit higher class! The waiter then cheekily said that we can buy a bottle of sparkling water. I'm also welcome to buy every single ingredient in my drink if that's the concept... The food was ok this time, it was much better the first time. It's a shame that the quality isn't always maintained here either. When we wanted to pay we had to wait 30 minutes for this. Shortly before that, someone tried to sell us something again, which bazaar are we actually at... . Then the "visibly overwhelmed" employee came and presented us with a card machine with a fixed amount, which I paid out of sheer confusion. Normally you will receive the bill in advance with all the dishes ordered. Incredibly unprofessional for a restaurant that would like to be more.

Very nice atmosphere, food was great and not the usual zero eight fifteen menu, I really liked that. Exceptional cuisine with selected dishes. You can also come to the bar just to drink. There is also a DJ on Saturdays, which I think is really good. Prices are not cheap 😉 but normal for Frankfurt conditions. With 50€ per person you have to at least calculate

Sehr schönes Ambiente, essen war nicht der null acht fünfzehn Menü, das hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Aussergewöhnliche Küche mit ausgewählten Gerichten. Man kann auch nur zum trinken an die Bar kommen. Samstags legt auch ein DJ auf was ich richtig gut finde. Preise, ist nicht günstig 😉 aber für Frankfurter Verhältnisse normal. 50€ p.P. muss man mindestens rechnen

The service was rude and incredibly slow. When I pointed out that I didn’t want any ice in my drink (since the glass was almost entirely filled with ice), the waiter removed the ice but left the glass barely half full. We ordered ceviche, which was served without any accompaniments like tostadas or chips, as is typically expected. The tacos were very small and completely overpriced. While the taste was okay, they weren’t anything special. The octopus dish was dry and lacked any sides, making it quite disappointing. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.

As a Latino, I'm honestly amazed at the ratings regarding the food. The restaurant and the staff gave me 4/5 stars, but the food got 1/5. The cocktails here are definitely recommended. Unfortunately the food wasn't what I expected for the price range. Salt was often missing and I even find street food to taste better. 14€ for 2 tacos whose taste is unfortunately below average... If you're looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food, you've unfortunately come to the wrong place. Nevertheless, I would like to praise every employee again. Everyone was always friendly and competent.

This was by far the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. We tried the Chef’s Choice Menu, and every dish was perfectly balanced – an explosion of flavors! The service was quick, and the waitress who took care of us was extremely friendly and attentive. The price was absolutely worth it. I can’t wait to come back!

The tacos are extremely small, about 5 cm in diameter. It looks good, but doesn't taste particularly good. The burger tasted good. Service: the receptionist sat us at the most terrible table - the table was so small and in the hallway. Very uncomfortable. Although 3/4 of the restaurant was free. For the price and the money you leave behind, I would like to sit in a better place. Ambience nothing special. Only the kitchen looked authentic.

Zum Jahresausklang wollten wir unserer Tochter etwas gönnen, nachdem sie mal wieder in Frankfurt war und sind in den Club Social "Mexicano" gegangen. Bisher war ich von Mexikanern nur mäßig angetan - aber das war hier völlig anders. Richtig gute, leckere Sachen - sehr freundlicher Service. Hier gehe ich garantiert wieder rein. Musik könnte etwas leiser sein, aber das war es dann auch schon mit der Negativkritik. Nicht ganz billig, hier zu essen - aber die Preise entsprechen der hohen Qualität.

Although the food was good overall, it was disproportionate to the prices charged. What shocked me the most, however, is the restaurant's practice of having negative, honest reviews removed by lawyers. This leaves me stunned and shows how little value is placed on constructive feedback. I would recommend everyone to stay away from this restaurant - there are definitely better and fairer options.

Schönes Ambiente, gute Cocktails, Essen war in Ordnung, Preise etwas zu hoch. Das Kleingedruckte in der Reservierungsbestätigung sollte man beachten, man hat nur zwei Stunden Zeit.

Very nice location, good atmosphere, great drinks! But: we won't be coming back for dinner. On my first visit about 1.5 years ago, the food was really excellent. The ceviche was highly recommended, but has since been removed from the menu. On my last two visits the food was just mediocre, the fries were cold and soggy, and the burgers, steak and chicken were neither convincing in terms of quality nor taste. At the beginning I could say that it was expensive, but good and authentic, but now I just think it's expensive.

The service was bad. It took 30 minutes to even be able to place an order. And that only came after we spoke to him several times. Then it took forever until the food and drinks finally came together. There is only one waiter who has any knowledge and was able to explain something to me about the wines. He was very courteous and polite. The tacos felt like they didn't taste like anything. Absolutely incomprehensible given the prices.

Wir hatten einen sehr guten Kellner (Berater über den Abend) an unserem Tisch. Alles soweit top gewesen die Cocktails waren von uns allen sehr gut und vom Essen waren wir alle begeistert der Preis war es auf jeden Fall wert und wir werden definitiv wieder hingehen.

We've been here many times & we were big fans. But unfortunately, things didn't turn out well here. The prices were raised considerably, which is the order of the day, but the quantities were also reduced. We also found the selection of tacos and the menu generally slimmed down. In addition, we didn't even get Spicy Margaritas today because, according to our waiter, it was difficult to get the red salt with the spices. Really? We then ordered a mezcal margarita, which came completely without salt. The black salt, which is usually used here, is also difficult to get. Then you just do without this equipment? It's a shame, given the price of 14 euros for a relatively small glass. The evening was rounded off by rather mediocre service .All in all it was disappointing for us.

We were at Club Social Mexicano yesterday and were a bit torn. On the one hand, the food was really exceptionally good. We chose the chef’s menu, which was absolutely convincing in terms of taste. All dishes were carefully balanced, creatively presented and of high quality - there really is nothing wrong here. On the other hand, there was still a clear need for improvement in the service. We ordered at 7:40 p.m. and ended up leaving the restaurant at 10:30 p.m. without dessert because the wait was just too long for us. A dessert would have extended our stay even further, which we no longer wanted. It was particularly disappointing that we were not even informed about the long waiting times to be expected. If a menu takes more time, the service should communicate this clearly. There were also a few minor faux pas: We ordered a bottle of water, but initially only received glasses. The water itself only came after around 15 minutes. The service staff also seemed young and dynamic, but sometimes disorganized. It's not very pleasant when the staff joke around with each other while you as a guest are trying to place an order or get information. Conclusion: The food at Club Social Mexicano is highly recommended and worth every visit. When it comes to service, however, processes, communication and attention urgently need to be improved. I would definitely come back, but only in a few months to see whether the processes and service have noticeably improved.

The guacamole and margaritas were spot on! Service was excellent. We dined on a Sunday and they had a more limited menu but we still found tasty things to eat. Would definitely dine here again!

Estaba preocupado por las malas críticas en línea. No lo experimenté yo mismo. Gran comida, hermoso restaurante, bien decorado. Buen Dj. Es ruidoso, pero esa es la vibra. Se ha reducido un punto como han tenido mejores tacos en otros lugares, pero estamos bien.

Super schöne Location in unmittelbarer Nähe von der Hauptwache (5 Minuten Fußweg). Das Ambiente war sehr harmonisch, Geräuschkulisse war auch sehr entspannt. Gutes Essen mit mexikanischem Essen (Tacos & Co.) und leckere Getränke (Wein, Cocktails & Co.). Die Churros mit Haselnussfüllung kann ich als Nachspeise sehr empfehlen. Super Service & sehr schöner Abend, da gibt man gerne Trinkgeld.

This was my second time at Club Social Mexicano. The evening started off poorly due to a cold and unwelcoming receptionist, but Cecilie, our waitress, turned things around with her warm, professional, and friendly service. She truly saved the night, and by the end, we left happy. Despite the rough start, I’ll return. Food and drinks are always excellent.

In itself a great restaurant with very friendly staff and very tasty cuisine 😊 The ambience is also very pleasant and it is well attended but still not too loud. The only drawback is the price. This is always debatable and that is my subjective opinion. To really benefit from the restaurant you have to eat several dishes and that costs a lot of money. Nevertheless, I can recommend the restaurant if you want to spend a nice evening and are prepared to spend some money on it.

Unfortunately, as a vegetarian, I didn't have a good experience. There are only 2.3 vegetarian dishes on the menu (including starters). At other Mexican restaurants there is a lot more choice and also super tasty vegetarian dishes. I ate the vegetarian tacos, which unfortunately were not edible for me. I have never had food returned in my life. But unfortunately I couldn't get it down 🙈 but the waiter also asked me specifically what it was so that he could pass on the feedback to the kitchen. But I couldn't really tell. The taste of the mushrooms was simply not edible for me at all 😔 the soup as a starter, however, was very tasty!!! I took a salad for it (but I was still charged something for giving it back, it seems - 7 euros - but I didn't ask the restaurant if it was a mistake) the salad cost 18 euros!!!! 18 euros for a very small portion and avocado, which I was asked for (of course they didn't say that there was a 4 euro surcharge) The portions are generally very, very small and therefore very, very expensive. Definitely overpriced, despite the location There were 5 of us and all the food came at the same time except for my friend's burger. He then had to wait another 30 minutes for his burger. However, the service was very friendly and tried very hard to ensure that we were satisfied. Even though it was very busy, the waiter was always very friendly and helpful. He apologized very frequently for the food and the wait for the burger. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it at all and the prices are really outrageous! But apparently you can ask for that because the place is always full.

Had a great experience here! Nice vibe and very engaged staff made the dinner even better. The octopus dish was outstanding—definitely deserving of 5 stars! I’ll be coming back again.

The barbacoa tacos were primo, very good. The pork belly tacos unfortunately lacked rich flavor.

Absolutely outstanding kitchen and amazing food, as well as cute service for very reasonable prices! We were absolutely happy and I have to say that we surely come back. The only star I cannot give, is for vegan meat replacements. Beef and chicken you could easily replace or put it up the menu and in Zurich for example we always have a vegan meat option which is very convenient and better for our planet and animals.

The service was great. Unfortunately the margarita was very salty and the food wasn't particularly tasty and poorly seasoned. Really disappointing for the relatively high prices.

Currently “hip” restaurant in Frankfurt. Very nice atmosphere, rather loud due to music and noise level. Quality of the food (meat dishes) was rather average, there are better Mexicans in Frankfurt. Dessert (filled churros), however, was very tasty.

Alles war gut bist die Rechnung Kamm der Kellner hat mir in eine electroniches gered der Preis den ich zahlen muss war ein Wert von 236€ ich habe in 240 € mit Trinkgeld darauf hin habe ich in die 4 Euro die übrig sin gegeben Trinkgeld ich habe nach der Rechnung gebitten die Rechnung war 218€ und trichgeld 22 € und ein bissien mehr weil Inder Rechnung chon das Trinkgeld dabei war chon traurig
