A truly excellent experience. The owner was extremely kind and friendly, even though we arrived quite late (9:50 PM, with the kitchen closing at 9:30 PM). The food was very good, rich in flavor, spicy, and moderately hot (I ordered H1). Furthermore, the owner speaks good Italian and helped us choose dishes when we were a bit unsure, proving to be helpful and extremely kind. A truly nice, easy-going, and welcoming person. Highly recommended.

For all people who can scroll down and can read my review here after the owner adding a ton of fake reviews for his restaurant, I am saving you from the worst restaurant in Berlin, it's 100% NOT authentic Chinese food: 1. Trust me all 5 - star reviews for this one are actually fake ones ( I guess the owner review himself or buy those reviews). I went here based on those fake reviews and it destroyed my dinner mood. 2. When the owner (the German man) know that I'm not Chinese, he talked bad about Chinese people with me even he's selling Chinese food to clients. That makes me think that he will also talk bad behind my back after I leave. Don't be blind by his fake smile and fake friendliness, I feel it's really a hypocrite who selling Chinese food and disrespect the Chinese culture/ people. 3. About Food, it's terrible compared to Chinese food in Berlin. Fake ingredients, for example Yangzhou fried rice, he used the Ham from Rewe, what is that, it's not a real Chinese Yangzhou fried rice. The skin of dimsum is not the same one from China. The price is very high with the small portion and the lowest quality. 4. I like Chinese food a lot and tried many good restaurants so I can recommend you several good ones in Berlin like Feast restaurant or Ming Dynasty restaurant with authentic Chinese food and reasonable price instead of going to this one and destroy your good mood. I assure by all my reputation that my review is 100% true and if you really want to find an Authentic Chinese restaurant, just stay far away from this one. For the owner, keep adding fake reviews to blind the new clients but in the end of the day, you will destroy your business and close it in maximum next 3 years because clients will come once and never come back :). I was very disappointed. I read in the reviews that the food was sometimes cooked individually. I have an egg allergy, and in other Asian restaurants, it's never been a problem to get rice without eggs. Here, they were completely inflexible. My family's food was cold. They quickly put it in the microwave, but it still wasn't properly heated. And this is where it gets strange: online, it says that all the dishes are freshly prepared, so how could my family's food be cold when we were the first ones in the restaurant and received our food first? Something doesn't add up. To top it all off, the restroom was smoky. I personally cannot recommend this restaurant. There are much better options!

Great and authentic Chinese food – it truly felt like being back in China. Everything was delicious and full of flavor, and the service was exceptionally warm and friendly. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back in 2026!

The food was incredibly authentic, unbelievably spicy, and exorbitantly delicious. The waiter was a bit odd but friendly and attentive. I'd give it 6 points if I could.

Highly recommended, with truly authentic dishes just like you would find in China. A real taste experience without any flavor enhancers. Plus, the host and his family provide service that really knows how to pamper their guests.

So two things need to be mentioned before anything else: 1. This is a family-owned and run restaurant. Christian (owner and waiter) is a very fun and colourful person. Some people find him rude, but he's very kind-hearted and lovely to have a conversation with. The rest of the staff, bar the chef, is his family. Some reviews mentioning him being rude may be expecting a different kind of place. Do be kind. 2. This is a Sichuan-style restaurant, meaning most of the menu highlights are probably quite spicy! And not German-spicy, but actually spicy. There are absolutely options that aren't spicy, but some dishes that seem less authentic might be added as additional possibilities. Now, with that said, this is a place I cherish quite a bit, and have gone to a decent amount over the past year. Returning clients are remembered and cherished, and honestly after trying most of the menu I must say that most of it is delicious. Particular menu highlights are the fish pot with cabbage, the beef pot (with or without tofu) and the beef with peppers. As mentioned, these are definitely up there in spiciness. There are a decent amount of vegetarian dishes, but I've not tried many of them. Christian and the rest of the staff are extra hard-working and I've not had a bad experience visiting so far. They really do want you to have the best experience possible. P.S. if you plan to be a regular, even though they do accept card, they appreciate cash payments a lot.

The food was good, but a very unpleasant waiter brought me the wrong dish. I had ordered vegetarian, but ended up with chicken, and of course, I had to pay extra for it. When I politely pointed this out to him, he showed no remorse but blamed me and the waitresses. He even insulted the waitresses, calling them "schizophrenic," and was very upset. Therefore, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

A truly cozy and authentic Chinese restaurant – exactly as you'd hope! The food is absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, and cooked with love. The owner is a true host in every sense of the word – warm, attentive, and always up for a quick chat. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy good Chinese food in a relaxed atmosphere… I'll definitely be back! Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo, but I had an R2 lens with really good, tasty sharpness.

An absolute gem! A must-visit! My favorite restaurant in Berlin! We discovered it by chance and have been coming back ever since. I've traveled extensively in Asia and love authentic Asian food, and everything here is simply perfect – the spices, the heat, the flavor. The Sichuan chili is perfectly balanced. The owner is incredibly friendly and makes fantastic cocktails. The presentation of the dishes is also beautiful – you can tell that the food is cooked with love. My favorites: the crispy shrimp (appetizer), dim sum with chili oil, mapo tofu, the fried chicken with Sichuan peppercorns, and the Kung Pao chicken. Everything is incredibly delicious! A real insider tip for anyone who loves authentic Asian food. 🌶️

Honestly, I do not know why the review is so favorable with this place. 4.6 is a joke. Though I am not Chinese, I even feel that the food is not authentic. This place caters for a purely German customer base. The price is high and portions are tiny. Expect "crispy" baked duck with a side of rice style Chinese cuisine. It saddens me to see how the restaurant has changed amongst the years. Please do not be deceived.

Very tasty food, the team was very friendly and provided different tips on the available options. Clean and well maintained restaurant. We had no reservation but they still found us a table, although the restaurant was almost fully booked.

We randomly found Chuan House while looking for a solid meal before a night out clubbing in Berlin, and it ended up being one of the best dinners of our trip. Our group of 12 showed up about an hour before closing, but the owner couldn’t have been more welcoming, and the chef still offered to whip up a special meal for us. The vibes were awesome. The owner kept things fun with plenty of Tsingtaos and even surprised us with shots of Hibiki. The food came out fast and every dish hit the spot. Standouts were the crispy fried eggplant, the crispy pork, the mapo tofu, and the dim sum. If you like spice, you’re in for a treat. The chef brought serious heat with those classic Sichuan numbing flavors. We had an amazing time eating, laughing, and hanging out, and it felt more like a private dinner party than a restaurant. For 12 people with tons of food and drinks, the bill was about 400 euros, which was an absolute steal. If you’re in Berlin and want legit Sichuan food, good vibes, and a memorable meal, definitely check out Chuan House.

Wonderful in every way. The food was fresh and delicious. Flavours were 10/10. The H1 (chicken) and R3 (Beef) were absolutely amazing. The owner was also so warm and lively. It’s a great place for a meal. Highly recommended.

Simply outstanding! We ate our way through the menu once, and the advice was very good. He asked us what we were in the mood for and matched the dishes together! I can especially recommend the "potato salad," the Chinese equivalent of which bears little resemblance to our potato salad. We'll definitely be back!

Very friendly, comfortable, delicious dinner experience. We just wandered in and the owner was very open and hospitable. The food was very tasty! We had won ton soup, steamed dumpling, and sweet and sour fried fish. I didn't confirm but the dumplings and won tons tasted home made. Overall great experience, we would definitely visit again!

The dishes are very be good, with rich flavours and deep taste ❤️ The service guy (owner) is very stressed and has too much energy. Calm down — you have lovely restaurant and there's no need to be stressed (regarding this cosy place…) . Also, your colleagues (daughters?) are very nice, no need to criticize them all the time + your wife is also much more relaxed. Last but not least PLEASE don't bash Berlin in Berlin. If you don't like your city, move back to Bavaria. But please leave your chef in Berlin — he/she is wonderful! 🫶❤️

I ate Jisanseon, Mapo tofu, and pickled cucumber(?). Maybe it was the localization effect, but the Mapo tofu was a little sweet and not very spicy, but it was very delicious.

A fantastic Chinese restaurant with authentic food. The cauliflower with black bean sauce and Szechwan peppercorns is simply amazing, and the eggplant is a dream. The owner was super friendly, and his recommendation was excellent. You have to try T7. We were absolutely thrilled and will definitely be back on our next visit to Berlin on June 29th. What a great find! Walked past Chuan House and decided to give it a try... so glad I did! The food is super authentic Chinese cuisine, full of flavor and really well made. Probably not everyone’s taste, but if you're into real Chinese food, you'll love it. The service was outstanding: friendly, fun, and really helpful. I felt genuinely welcome and well looked after. I had mapo tofu with minced meat with white rice and it was amazing. Authentic flavors with the numbing feeling of the spices that I love. The service is great and fast, the people that works in the restaurant are super kind, one person could help me speaking in English with me and he was always with a smile. This is definitely one of my favorites places for Chinese food in Berlin. Accept card payment.

Super good authentic food and first-class service

Honestly, I'm extremely confused as to where all the positive comments are coming from. Has there been a change of ownership? Aside from the truly attractive traditional interior, the food was far from authentic. Overly sugary, overflowing with MSG and frozen ingredients. The dishes are still sitting in my stomach. What really shocked me was the waitress's rude behavior, who ironically commented on orders, pressured her customers to order, and disregarded the most basic hospitality etiquette. Not to mention Chinese restaurant etiquette. Fortunately, my Chinese partner persuaded me to restrain myself, which is why a definite escalation didn't occur. My urgent request to the owner: Work on your attitude towards the hospitality industry and initiate a rethink in the selection of your staff. Good luck in the future; I certainly won't be coming back.

Not bad in itself, but with a few critical points. Unfortunately, some of the dim sum were still frozen and raw inside – I only noticed this after the first bite and probably upset my stomach in the process. The owner is friendly, but seems a bit over-motivated, which makes choosing a dish more difficult than easier. Although he wants to help, he tends to badmouth many of the dishes, which isn't particularly helpful. Another no-go: I saw someone pouring bottled beer with their bare thumb pressed against the bottle opening to loosen the yeast from the bottom – and the beer was poured into the glass that way. Unfortunately, that's completely unacceptable from a hygienic point of view. I'm mentioning it here because such details definitely catch the eye of guests, and hopefully he'll handle it professionally in the future.

There is really delicious food here! Both the meat selection and the vegetarian selection on the menu are great. Service was also super nice, we felt very comfortable. Happy to come back!

The attitude of the waitress was extremely bad. She felt that we were begging for food instead of paying for food. She didn't tell us the names of the dishes or take the plates! This is the worst Chinese waiter I have ever encountered in 🇩🇪! The foreign boss greeted every table but not us? This is Chinese food for foreigners, not Chinese! I blame me for not reading the reviews. It turns out that the people who came to eat there were all foreigners, not Chinese at all! Eat a meal and be angry!

Sorry, it was once and is no more, a shame. A quiet decline in restaurants is now also occurring in Berlin.

We went here as it was very conveniently located by our hotel. After walking 10 miles today around Berlin, we didn't want to walk any further! It is a good, friendly and efficient Chinese restaurant. The food is mainly Cantonese and has all the main menu items you would expect. I live in NYC so am very spoiled with excellent and authentic Chinese food, and so whilst this restaurant isn't honestly all that authentic, it is still good and well priced. Our waiter was a star and made the whole experience very fun.

After a long day at the trade fair, we were guests at Wei House and were thrilled by the food. Authentic Szechuan cuisine with good spiciness and, above all, not “Germanized”. All dishes were very, very convincing in terms of taste and quality. The portions were generous. A real joy in terms of price as well as the great taste. Courteous and friendly service with good recommendations. Even if we don't come from Berlin, we're happy to make the trip again and look forward to our next visit to the (Chuan) Wei house.

The food tasted good, not the Westerner style of Chinese (orange chicken) if you know what I mean, but also not authentic. The front server (maybe owner) said the chef is Sichuan, so Sichuan is spicy but the food was not very spicy. I went with my German colleagues as there were no other food options in the area. Some of them were vegetarian and there were plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. Not just the basic fried tofu or mapo dish but good vegetarian imitation meat cooked with the same sauce as the usual meat dish. The portions were surprisingly very small for a Chinese restaurant for the price, maybe that's Berlin? What really peeved me was that the rice that was served was cold. First bowl cold, OK, maybe it was the bottom of the barrel, second bowl 30 minutes later, still cold, that's not right. Why can't someone leave the steamer plugged in to keep the rice warm? Who wants to eat soggy cold rice? The server was friendly, and the decoration was fine.

One of the few Chinese restaurants with a large and, above all, delicious vegan selection! The carved vegetables and presentation also add to the eye candy. We immediately feel at home here, a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful ambience. The recommendations from the bar are also great :)

I was looking for authentic cuisine and a special dish I wanted to try and I was not disappointed. The starter, main course and dessert were all extremely tasty. Everything was on the table quickly and fairly priced. The only thing that wasn't my cup of tea was the furnishings. The innkeeper has his own manners that do not correspond to the distant manner of many waitresses. I really enjoyed that! I was able to engage in conversation, learn more about the cuisine and dishes, and was perceived as a person and not just a customer. However, the landlord also made it clear how he experiences the catering industry and what bothers him. I gather from other reviews that some people don't appreciate this style. I found it honest and friendly. I was happy to tip generously and will be back.
