Great service, good bar, nice room - thank you very much!

The hotel bar is excellent, the bartenders know their stuff, the cocktails are great, there was a DJ, but it's better to book a place in advance. The hotel is for romantic dates, definitely not for traveling with children, the themed rooms, the location is inconvenient for shopping and walking.

We had an incredibly erotic and stimulating time at Le Provocateur Berlin! Our expectations were fully met, and we will certainly return! The rooms are incredibly stylish and decorated entirely to our taste (Moulin Rouge/1930s)... the heavy, high-quality brass fittings in the room and bathroom, as well as the colors, fabrics, and many wonderful decorative pieces, immediately sparked our imagination. A wild journey back in time began... the staff, the bar, the smells in the hotel—everything was absolutely fantastic! For all lovers of true sensual pleasures, Le Provocateur is an absolute must! Anyone who doesn't get in the mood for sensual experiences here needs professional help ;)

Incompetent receptionist. Could hardly answer any of my questions. The room was quite nice, but without luggage storage or a proper wardrobe. Just three hangers on the wall. The bathroom was the worst part. Cleanliness is something else entirely. For a hotel that presents itself as upscale, this is outrageous. There was no discount offered, only a lukewarm apology. The pictures speak for themselves. The promised welcome drink was also missing, again with only a lukewarm apology. Breakfast for €20 consisted of a set menu, a glass of juice, and a cup of coffee. Even after asking, I received nothing more.

The positive reviews seem bought or from bots – no one can seriously find that acceptable. An unpleasant smell hits you as soon as you walk in. The noise from the loud bar reverberates all the way to the top floors. The service? A disaster. Hard to put into words – simply awful.

Great vibe and staff very friendly and caring. Unfortunately the elevator wasn't working and we had no hot water. There wasn't any announcement of the water issue since its acknowledgement the morning of our arrival and we were permitted to check in. Flying in from overseas and not having the ability to shower was uncomfortable. And I found this out after I had prepared myself to shower. As mentioned the staff are all kind and they arranged for me to make a lateral move to their sister hotel.

The hotel made an interesting and atmospheric impression. The first impression was quite pleasant. However, upon check-in, the reception staff did not seem very welcoming: my request to change the room was met with a rather strange reaction. In the end, the room was changed, which I appreciate. The reason for my request was the persistent smell of cigarettes in the room. I was a bit surprised that the staff did not seem to realize that such a smell can linger for days. This somewhat spoiled the impression of hospitality. As for cleanliness, there is definitely room for improvement: there was a lot of dust, the mirrors were not completely clean, and the blanket was simply wrapped in two sheets instead of a duvet cover. On the positive side, breakfast was delightful — tasty, beautifully presented, with attentive and friendly service. The restaurant itself is very cozy. I also enjoyed the small garden courtyard, a wonderful and atmospheric spot to sit with a cup of coffee. Overall, the hotel left a good impression. An additional advantage is the proximity to the metro (just a 2-minute walk) and a convenient location — about 6 km from the city center.

Unfortunately, we had to take cold showers. The rooms are very noisy. You can clearly hear what's happening in the room above, as well as the music from the bar. Overall, service has deteriorated considerably.

I enjoyed my time here. You can tell from the furniture and the interior of the building that it's been used in this form for several years. Nevertheless, the overall impression is unique, and the hotel is something special. I find it a shame that the website advertises free slippers, but they weren't provided in the room. I don't need slippers, but I think a broken promise says a lot about the philosophy of the management and staff. In this old building, the interior designers had to work with the existing architecture, which sometimes led to unfavorable results. In my "Intimate" room, for example, you have to climb onto the bed to open or close the curtains. The coffee machine is placed in a dark cabinet in such a way that when you use it, your upper body is between the light source and the machine, and you have to act by feel because you can hardly see anything. The breakfast pricing policy is odd. As a deal, I got the à la carte breakfast for €20 instead of €25. This allowed me to choose one dish (worth €10 according to the menu). A cappuccino costs €4.50, so you'd have to have at least three drinks to avoid feeling ripped off by the €20 deal. Despite these criticisms, I had a pleasant stay. The 'Intimate' room is the second smallest category and is ideal for a single room. With only one seat and limited closet space, it's not ideal for a double room, in my opinion. A nice touch: the welcome drink upon arrival.

Perfect for an atmospheric couple's stay. We had a very nice Suerieur room on the 5th floor. I especially wish there was a Bluetooth speaker. Service and amenities were top-notch. The staff were always friendly.

Cool concept and unique style, but the place feels dated. Our room was very dusty on arrival. Later, breakfast was charged to our bill even though we hadn’t taken it. Only after repeated follow-ups by phone and email was the charge removed, with no apology given.

My husband and I stayed there for three nights for our 25th anniversary. I can recommend it to anyone who likes a 1920s-style room. The room was very good, clean, and well-furnished. I would have liked a bathtub, but that's just nitpicking 😂. The service was more than excellent; always friendly and courteous. We particularly liked the room service. The location is good, but not breathtaking; you have to walk quite a long way to the S-Bahn (subway), although the U-Bahn is closer, but doesn't offer a direct connection to Alexanderplatz. However, it's only a five-minute walk to the Ku'damm. The only real complaint I have is the €25 breakfast. It was simply too little, although very tasty, but simply not what I expected. You can choose between six breakfast menus, and there's no additional buffet. I can definitely recommend the hotel, and we will definitely stay there again. PS: A nice feature is the free candy bar at the reception, which was diligently emptied in the evenings.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was anything but pleasant. There was a lot of dust in the room, and it seemed as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time or only very superficially. The shower was dirty, with traces of mold and plaque, making it unpleasant to use. The glasses in the room also unpleasantly surprised me – they had been poorly rinsed and obviously not disinfected. The hotel tries to cut costs on room service, but that's not the case. We checked into the hotel every evening and then didn't know the night was over. That's not a Soviet record either. On the positive side, I really liked the design and style of the hotel. The interior is modern and tasteful. 🙂😘

Staff were neither reachable by email nor by phone. Hardly anyone at the reception spoke German (November 2024 and October 2023). No one felt responsible for taking any responsibility. Staff at the reception or in the background (those responsible for contact) could neither respond to inquiries nor resolve any problems. I've been writing emails for two weeks, requesting the invoice for the tax office, and there's been no response. The hotel doesn't even deserve one star in the middle of Berlin.

Anyone looking to travel back in time to the Roaring Twenties will be in for a treat here. The decor is perfectly suited to that era, exuding a touch of eroticism and decadence. We felt very comfortable. A few more comments. It would be nice if the music in the bar were in keeping with the hotel's philosophy, so not modern sounds but more swing or something similar. This would make the illusion even more impressive and perfect. The location is central and easily accessible. The lack of on-site parking is, of course, a significant drawback. I would also like to see the menus available in the local language and not just in English. Not everyone speaks English, which makes choosing a menu a bit more difficult. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Poor communication – a bitter aftertaste. We booked a rate with breakfast included and had breakfast delivered to our room, which normally costs an extra fee, but would have been perfectly acceptable. BUT: The full room service breakfast was charged extra. When I pointed out that they couldn't simply charge twice and that there was never any notice of this, the response was: Nothing at all. Very poor style, which unfortunately dampened our enjoyment. I wouldn't book the hotel again and can't recommend it.

We came to Berlin from Hamburg for the Rave the Planet event. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. After checking in, we were treated to a glass of Crémant. The staff at the reception and bar were all very friendly. You have to like the interior design and decor. And it definitely won us over. Best wishes from the George Hotel in Hamburg ;)

Good location, near the U7 Konstanzer Straße and Ku'Damm. The hotel is a bit worn and needs some updating in a few places. Nice little courtyard for a short break, great bar.

Well-intentioned, poorly executed. Design alone isn't enough—it should also be suitable for everyday use, especially with regard to the perception of cleanliness. The first attribute that comes to mind when I think of a room is: gloomy and dusty! Choosing such dark colors requires a great deal of trust in your housekeeping, which most hoteliers these days (staff shortages and costs) can't really have. Our room was certainly so dusty and poorly vacuumed upon arrival, and the hallways/public areas were similar, so I decided not to use housekeeping for the next two days of my stay. Furthermore, the bathroom (as is often the case) offered far too little space for two people (two toiletry bags need to be stored), but at least it had enough hanging space there and in the rest of the room (unfortunately, this is also often a shortage). On the one hand, the fact that it was also impossible to sleep with the window open at night can't be blamed on the hotel (it is located on a busy main road, after all), but since we wanted a room with a balcony, I would have found it appropriate if this had been explicitly mentioned when booking... then we would have skipped the balcony and opted for a room facing the inner courtyard instead.... The à la carte breakfast is a positive: the quality and quantity were good, the service was quite nice, but rather sleepy - literally :-) On the other hand, the guys in the bar in the evening were attentive and very friendly, and the Negroni was almost perfect. I also found it a bit odd that the receptionist at check-in seemed to only speak English, especially since it later turned out that they were fluent in German...is that supposed to give you an international touch? Not necessary in my opinion. We're aware that Marriott has various brands with varying "qualities" in its hotel portfolio, but it would be highly recommended that the heads of... still ensure that the interiors of the "simpler" hotels not only don't look too worn (especially in daylight!), but—if they're old—are at least clean! And I've finally figured out one thing: Don't book a hotel that relies on dark colors or even black and velvet for design reasons! No one can really keep them in good condition.

In contrast to the rating on Booking.com, the hotel was a disappointment. The internet stopped working for two days, the light in the room suddenly went out on the second day. The wastepaper basket in the bathroom was still full from the previous day. The elevator only worked from the second floor from time to time and there was a thick layer of dust on the ventilation slots in the room. Whether it was because of all the black furnishings that you could see fingerprints everywhere in the bathroom, quite possible. In any case, not very hygienic for a hotel. This would require double staff. The highlight on the last day: I sat in the dining room for 20 minutes without being served. There were only 6 other guests. I can't imagine what it would have been like if the dining room had been full. I had, or rather had to organize my breakfast outside of half. It's a good thing I didn't book this in advance. Sorry, but it seems to me to be a very disorganized operation with a lot going wrong. What I would like to mention is that the ladies at reception were helpful and nice, although some of them did not speak German.

It's simply too dark for me. Cool style—no question. The room furnishings are exceptional, but unfortunately, they're showing clear signs of wear. The bathroom, in particular, needs a renovation. The staff is top-notch! Young and motivated 😁

I stayed at the Hotel Provocateur in Berlin in October 2023 for a week's vacation as a couple. And it's undoubtedly one of my fondest hotel memories. We had the basic room, but nothing about it was basic: the decor was meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, with a cozy, sensual, and opulent atmosphere, worthy of a chic cabaret, with perfectly mastered vintage touches. The hotel's name doesn't lie: it's Provocateur in all its elegant and evocative aspects. Some parts of the hotel seem like they came straight out of a movie: the old elevator, the bar benches, everything invites the setting. The bar, by the way, is nothing like a classic hotel bar: it's a place in its own right, with its own unique and captivating atmosphere. The breakfast is excellent, both in your room and in the dining room. Original, generous, and delicious: a true pleasure every morning. The rooms are also meticulously designed: beautiful finishes, modern amenities (the heated bathroom floors are a real treat), great comfort, and an ambiance consistent with that of the hotel, down to the smallest details. The staff is impeccable: professional, attentive, and always available. And to top it all off, the hotel is well located in Berlin. In short, a unique, sexy, elegant, welcoming hotel, perfectly consistent in its offerings. The day I return to Berlin, I won't hesitate for a second: it will be the Provocateur again.

The hotel's concept is very unique. The management is reportedly in a transition phase. What we noticed: Overall, there's a lack of professionalism and a clear sense of purpose for guests. One gets the feeling that there's no experienced, long-standing hotel and bar management to train them in how to interact with guests. Even though the staff tries hard, they lack intrinsic questioning and self-critical conflict management. The fact that the staff predominantly speaks only English is certainly something to be critically examined. Despite the exciting interior design concept, the above-mentioned factors make a repeat booking unlikely.

A very unusual hotel. We really liked it! Full marks from us!

We kind of wished for more sex appeal, but then maybe we wouldn't have been allowed to drink just Coke. It was tasty, though, and even with a citrus slice. There was also free tap water and nuts (albeit a few). A Coke costs €5, which is a bit steep, of course. But it's doable. You can take cool selfies in the hallways. Unfortunately, the lighting in the restroom downstairs is bad. Well, all in all, interesting!

I am not sure if/when I will come to Berlin again but if I do, I would definitely stay at this place. Great location, great staff, nice place and I would look forward to their shower every day! For Jewish travelers, it is very close to Chabad and a kosher bakery AND they understood and were helpful about my shabbos needs.

Impressive hotel with nostalgic charm. The elevator itself is a movie set. The room had some minor details that needed updating. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well!

I spent over an hour on hold today trying to reserve two rooms by phone. Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful.

Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff, comfortable room and very good bed linen. The bathroom was a little ‘tired’ the shower hose overhead/hand held knob was stuck and the marble needs a good de-scale as it was clouded with hard water residue. Very good bathing products. We had problems with the tv and could not connect to apple tv even with the help of the hotel staff.

Not good service and personal, just not comfortable to speak to, not helping. Funny room, it has some atmosphere. Dirty cups, also deposit they are charging for a bar. Not coming next time.

You notice that the maintenance of the rooms is no longer the focus. What feels like 5cm of lime/mold builds up under the shower heads. Some of the beds are no longer stable and wobble. The light switch is in your hand as soon as you turn it... a shame but otherwise top service!

Unfortunately the stay was a disappointment. The room was dirty, there was hair from the previous guest on the bed and the furnishings were worn out. Furthermore, the door could not be locked from the inside. Even after a complaint, the room was not cleaned properly and the pillow and hair were back on the bed. It was only after the second complaint that I was offered a room change, but I wasn't able to do so in time. The maid also came into the room despite the please do not disturb sign. At night party noise could be heard from downstairs until midnight. I would like to get my money back..

Checking in as a Titanium member was unpleasant. There was a conscious attempt to deny benefits. When we asked, we were lied to and told that there were no more rooms available and therefore we couldn't grant an upgrade. Only when the Marriott booking app was shown as proof, where higher room categories and suites could be booked, was the upgrade granted. Suite was still refused, the boss decided that. I didn't feel welcome as a Titanium member.

Unfortunately we didn't get the room that was booked. Booked a 32sqm room and got 15sqm. The excuse was that the hotel was unfortunately fully booked. Bad service

The food was excellent. A big thank you and praise goes to the young charismatic waiter from the restaurant. I hope I remember the name “Blendard” correctly. I hope it is spelled correctly. Hats off ! Always happy to come back!

We spent one night here - the rooms are stylish, attentive welcome with a glass of Cremant. We really liked the ambience, with the whole house playing with a wicked boudoir style. The dinner and drinks at the Golden Phoenix and at the bar are worth a visit even without an overnight stay, they are truly fabulous. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, although the portions are a bit small, it is ordered a la carte. Now the but: After checking in, we discovered that the coffee machine in the room was broken. This was addressed immediately and we were able to have a coffee in the courtyard. Provocateur mode didn't work either, so we were told to try again. When we tried to reach reception several times in the evening because the mode still wasn't working, we didn't get an answer. When we checked out we brought it up again, and in response we were told that you were sorry and that they would give us some relief on the price, but since we had booked through Booking that wasn't possible, and they couldn't do anything about the bar and restaurant bill either. We were told goodbye, perhaps at the next overnight stay. We wrote an email on the same day that we couldn't understand the procedure because one of the room's major features didn't work and there was no excuse for it in the form of a voucher/discount. We didn't get an answer. That spoiled the stay. The hotel would also need a freshen-up (chipping furniture edges, calcified fittings in the bathroom...)

Less extravagance and more service would be better. I would not visit the hotel again and would not recommend it to others. The reception was slow and barely noticed me and casually checked me in while a tour guide wanted to look at a few rooms. Price: Performance quite expensive

Very nice, romantic ambience. We received a friendly welcome at reception. Our room was extremely spacious with a freestanding bathtub and a large, comfortable bed. The room features a video installation, which we really liked. There's a Marshall speaker for music. A highlight is the bar with a DJ and excellent mixologists who can mix any cocktail.

I wouldn't recommend the hotel and wouldn't stay there again myself. They promise a lot and charge a lot of money, but in the end, the promises remain empty. The room was thinly soundproof; I could hear every footstep and movement upstairs. It was also very worn and tiny, despite the upgrade. The breakfast was very small. You can get a full meal for 25 euros in Berlin. But not here. What surprised me most was the change in price despite my booking.

The hotel is located in lovely Charlottenburg, about 30 minutes walking disctance from Alexandsplats. I would recommend this to any couple that wants a romantic weekend in Berlin.

This was my first time at the Provocateur Hotel; it had been on my wish list for a while. I had the Bellevue room on the 3rd floor, which is accessible via elevator or spiral staircase. The hotel has charm! Everything is reminiscent of old times; it feels like a converted brothel. A bit seedy, romantic, and directly connected to a great bar & restaurant. The name says it all :-) Breakfast is served à la carte and was very tasty. Drinks in the bar were good. Overall, everything makes a really good visual impression; it's different and not run-of-the-mill! Great attention has been paid to design and style! Personally, I wouldn't choose the lowest room category, as these rooms are simply very small. I was really happy with my room, including the balcony, also in terms of value for money. The water pressure in the shower was great, the lighting in the room was nice, and room service was available. Conclusion: I'd be happy to come back and recommend the hotel.

An absolute nightmare Unfortunately, we couldn't sleep because of the volume: A bar on the ground floor that is so loud that you can hear the bass on every floor in the hotel. Thump Thump Thump.... Sleeping is out of the question. Changing rooms doesn't change anything. Just the hotel change, which we made after one night. The rooms are incredibly small. You can hardly turn around in the room. The location is on a busy road. The interior is getting old. That was my only and last visit.

My girlfriend and I had planned a romantic weekend at the Provocateur Berlin – unfortunately, it turned out to be a disaster. We only lasted 40 minutes in the room and immediately checked out (room 310). Reasons for the bad experience: 🔹 Noise level: The in-house bar hosts DJ sets every Friday and Saturday, which can be heard all the way into the rooms. When we complained to the reception, we received only the response: "Don't be like that, it's the weekend." 🔹 Condition of the room: The furnishings were more reminiscent of an aging dive than a 4-star hotel. Window loose in frame Toilet kept flushing (no solution, no maintenance worker available) Lamp hanging crookedly, bathroom door barely closing Dusty mirrors, unemptied trash can 🔹 Service and atmosphere: The reception was unfortunately unhelpful and could only repeatedly say "I'm sorry" without offering a solution. Overall, the staff gave an unprofessional impression. Conclusion: Berlin has many great hotels – this isn't one of them. Any hostel or youth hostel offers more charm and cleanliness. If you like noise, questionable 4-star ratings, and worn-out rooms, this is the place for you. Everyone else should sweeten their stay – at another hotel. Definitely not recommended! 🚫

Anyone who likes something a little plush and fluffy will be in good hands at this hotel. The name says it all, so it's no surprise that condoms and sex toys are found in the minibar. We had a large Sweet with a huge roof terrace. The beds were perfectly fine. The bathroom was very dark, but also large. Unfortunately, some rooms are only accessible on foot, as the elevator doesn't go to every floor. You can order à la carte at breakfast, which is very convenient. If you want to go to the bar on weekends, you should definitely reserve a table, as it gets very busy, and even as a hotel guest, you won't be able to get a table on the spot.

A special hotel with a special and attractive furnishing style. We enjoyed seeing something different than the run-of-the-mill hotels. The cleanliness in detail is disappointing for this price. It wasn't dirty, but there was a lot of dust in the corners and ledges, a lot of limescale on the fittings and limescale stains on the shower cubicle and the tiles. Despite the busy road, we heard absolutely nothing on the 4th floor. We also liked the firmness of the mattress. It definitely wasn't a cheap mattress.

I stayed in their 2nd most expensive room on 14 Jan 2023 to celebrate my anniversary with my girlfriend. It was totally disaster and their employees are racist! At the evening we had spent time in their bar then we went to our room to have some romance. At 2 am they knocked our door to accuse us with stealing somebodies jacket. We told them we did not get it then they came back at 3 am with accusing us again. They told us we were in the same table with women who’s jacket got stolen. When I went downstairs to see the women and talk, Both of us confirmed that we saw each other 1st time on that night. Of course they ruined our night!!! Next morning when I was checking out, reception asked that jacket again with an unpolite attitude. It was totally unacceptable. I asked them to call the police many times and hotel owner. They did not allow me to talk to their manager. Couple of days later they called me with saying if I want to come back again I can stay one more night as free. Funny thing they did not even said sorry about what’s happened! I asked a personal sorry of course who can go there again! They did not do anything about against these employees. I asked them to get email about that free night and apologies they did not send them too. I think their another racist supervisor tried to take care the situation without any official email. What a poor professional approach. Also please also be aware that some onlyfans creators are making videos in their rooms.

Unfortunately, zero satisfaction! I got a 20m² I got about 10m² (room 303) ...... very disappointing! And I also got a snarky answer when I said it wasn't 20m². As a craftsman, they wanted to make me believe that it was 20m² 🤦🏼 No price list for the minibar, could be better! I'm definitely not coming back!!!

Very poorly exposed hotel. Bar and restaurant freezing cold (and I'm not usually a chilblain). Room (501): bad! Starting with the lighting. The color is very overwhelming. Everything is humming (AC and some sockets), really weird light switches (dimmable), windows are really small and only above the bed - I felt like I was in prison. View outside? None! But the worst thing was that the kitchen exhaust went right past my window and it was A) very loud due to the ventilation and B) absolutely smelled! Welcome to fat hell! According to reception it was not possible to change rooms. Thank you. I was glad I checked out again, won't be coming back and can't recommend it. Sorry!

The idea is nice but place is not well maintained broken TV, old furniture. Staff is kinda weird and not very welcoming.

We loved our stay at Provocateur! The bar was fun, they had a pretty decent DJ some nights, so it definitely was a vibe. The Golden Phoenix restaurant, surpassed our expectations. I think it's rare to find a hotel concept that cares about their food program, but Provocateur does an excellent job of delivering a high quality dining experience. The hotel has a quaint courtyard to do work when the weather permits. The staff, and I want to say this unabashedly; was the best part of the stay. Everyone working at this hotel made us feel like family. We loved every interaction we had with all the staff members. If you're staying for more than a few days I would really recommend the deluxe room, the smaller rooms are nice, but if you have lots of luggage and clothing it can be a bit tight. The Ubahn is less than a 5 min walk if you do transit, and taxis are easily available in this area. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We no longer need incompetent ushers like in the GDR. Who doesn't even recognize celebrities and customers who ensure good sales here. The rest of the staff was nice.

Romantic hotel but perhaps not as romantic as one might get the impression from the review.

The bottom line is really disappointing, extremely small rooms, no breakfast buffet, service like, well, room service from the neighbor, the leftover food was left there all night without being cleared away, the price/performance ratio doesn't fit at all. Then I received a bill by email for the minibar, which was also charged directly to my credit card - even though I had already paid the bill in cash when I checked out.

beautiful and unique hotel. room was clean and quiet. not in a city centre (for me is a pros) so you can enjoy the silence. the price for this experience is fair. one thing which was strange for me is that hotel asked 100 euro pledge for a minibar. they freeze this amount on your card or you can pay cash. i paid cash so they return when i checked out (before returning the money guy checked the minibar in my room). strange rule that i’ve never experienced before. but overall everything was great and stuff was so friendly.

A more than remarkable hotel and very exceptional. Lots of small details in the rooms. The rooms are well equipped. Very friendly staff. The main language here is English and so is the menu in the restaurant.

This was our second time at this hotel and our experiences couldn't have been more different. The first time we were so satisfied that we booked this hotel for our wedding night, a decision that we bitterly regretted. Now from the beginning: We had booked a suite and the make love package for 2 nights. On the first night everything went as planned, nice room, great shower. Mattress is a bit sagging so you meet in the middle, but you can easily overlook that. So when we came into the room on the second night after our wedding, we found a mess: the room simply hadn't been cleaned. 1) the bed was not made 2) our plates/glasses were not put away 3) there was no more toilet paper 4) the rose petals were carelessly scattered on the floor 5) put the cremant, uncooled, on the side in the bucket, next to the dirty dishes 6) Trash can not emptied We would have liked to leave straight away or at least have the room cleaned again, but since it was the middle of the night, we were helpless and fell into bed unhappy. The next day we tried to talk to the staff and in the end we just wanted an apology and compensation, after all it was our wedding night... at the reception they said to us that they were wondering why The room wasn't cleaned, but taking care of it yourself was probably too much. There was no real apology or compensation. There was then an apology via email that the rose petals were not in the bed, which would generally not be offered due to hygiene reasons. No excuse for the room looking like... don't even bother with compensation. Long story short, why 2 stars? The hotel has charm, the bar is great (=2 stars), but anyone who is sloppy with the service will ruin the stay. We are really disappointed.

Seriously disappointed with Provocateur Berlin. We booked ourselves into the Provocateur for our wedding night and booked the 'Make Love Package' with rose petals etc. as well. Unfortunately, we had to enter the room at night to an extremely absurd sight: nothing had been done at all, but there were still rose petals scattered all over the floor and a cooling bucket filled with water was sitting carelessly on a table next to it. In fact, not even the used plate was put away, let alone the bed made or the toilet paper refilled. And then the bang followed. After I received an email asking for feedback and suggestions for improvement, the reply came back saying they were sorry we weren't happy with the decoration. BUT the question was whether we had enjoyed breakfast. This was clearly about something completely different? There are two stars here only for the vibe of the hotel and the bar. Preferably 0 for the service. So I have a few suggestions for improvement here.

Very sexy hotel to get down for the dirty 💋👄 we got an en-suite with massive bathtub and walking shower 🚿 they provide tons of clean towels, robes, shower gel, shower scrub, even body lotion and hair conditioner ☝️ really appreciate it 💄definitely a pick for a couple couple hours 👩‍❤️‍👨very friendly receptionist and attentive welcome service 🥂 thank you

The hotel is designed in the style of old times. It's like walking through the 1920s; a wonderful experience. It stands out very well in terms of fashion and shows all the aspects you want from a hotel: clean rooms, nice service and peace and quiet. What we liked best was the bathtub and the old corridors, as well as the elevator. Just cool. You will be welcomed with a personalized letter and a little something to eat. The cleaning staff put new water (free) in the room every day, sparkling and still. We also offer a nice minibar in the room. There is also a bar in the hotel, where balanced parties are held on weekends where you can dance. Food is also offered there. Very impressive, we will definitely come back :)

Very charming hotel. Great for a couple getaway

Unique hotel that has a luxurious vintage feel to it. It's quaint, so don't expect the experience of large mainstream hotels. For example, there's one tiny elevator, opened with a door handle. Rooms were spacious. Restaurant is fantastic.

Although the location is not great as it is quite far from the city center, the hotel has a very nice atmosphere. I thought it had a somewhat bewitching feel to it and I liked it, but it turns out it's from the Roomers family in Frankfurt. I agree. I think the mix of traditional and modern elements is exquisitely balanced, with the classic elevator still in use since the building was completed. The front staff was nice, but the restaurant staff at breakfast was the worst. What's causing you to be so grumpy? The attitude was so bad that I wondered why anyone would want to pay €24 for a small open salmon sandwich and receive such service. It's a shame that there were so many good things about it, but it ended up giving me a bad impression at the end.

Absolutely and in no way recommended. The service and staff are really bad. This is what happened: I spent two nights there, paid over 470 euros and unfortunately "forgot/lost" my wallet there. When I called after I left, all they said was that nothing had been found and nothing had been handed over. Well, more than two months later, the hotel reported that they had found my wallet and would like to send it to me. I should bear the costs for this. And with overnight costs of over 470 euros, you are not in a position to spend 5.49 postage for the injured guest. So I had to provide a shipping label. Mercifully, the hotel waived the cost of packaging. And then the wallet (format 10x15x2cm) was sent in a box that was much too big for the shipping stamp (the box was for copy paper), so I also had to pay an additional fee at the post office. BUT NOW COMES!!!! My money, over 200 euros, gone!!!! Stolen from the wallet. This is skillfully ignored by the hotel. No response, no apology, no compensation - NOTHING!!! And if the reviews here are to be believed, this isn't the first time something has been stolen here. Anyone who employs such a staff should not be surprised. I will definitely file a report for theft - that's not possible, I won't let that happen.

Definitely an adults only hotel. Rooms are sensually decorated, building has his Charme. Too bad location is completely off and away.

Located very close to Kurfürstendamm. The subway is practically on the doorstep - so a good location. The hotel itself is something special. Many rooms are reminiscent of Berlin in the 1920s. A bit wicked, red plush and with a mirror above the bed. Creates a great atmosphere, especially for couples in love, even if some of the furnishings could use a little refreshing/repair. But the ambience is great. There is a great Asian restaurant in the house and the breakfast is also very good. Service was nice and helpful. We will be back.

Nice room with a slightly different decor. However, I was missing a full-length mirror in the room.

We booked a room with breakfast there 12 hours before the concert we wanted to attend in Berlin was canceled. Despite the fact that we canceled immediately (and we were initially told over the phone that this wouldn't be a problem), we were not only charged the entire room price, but also the price for breakfast. This is simply outrageous. We have been guests at this hotel several times before, but will not stay there again after this experience. Zero goodwill for a room that was reserved for us from 10:00 p.m. one day until 10:00 a.m. the following day is just plain bold. Never again.

This is just a review for the bar as I can't write a separate one for the bar. I'm currently trying out bars all over Berlin with a friend. Tip: reserve! We were there at 8 p.m. on a European Championship match day. We got two more seats at the bar, but shortly afterwards the bar was packed. The service was very friendly, courteous and always available to help and advise. We also mixed classics for us other than the standard menu and we were also able to try a drink from the soon-to-be-new menu. The Gin Alexander was very, very tasty. In terms of the interior, the bar looks more elegant with heavy red (velvet?) curtains that are drawn and a beautiful, wide black stone bar (see pictures). The seating at the bar also has a backrest, which provides additional comfort. The sanitary facilities were also great and were continuously cleaned throughout my stay.

Good location! Nice personel! The hotel is getting old and actually needs to be renovated! Price is not justified at all! The technology is old! There were difficulties with the room cards! The basic idea is good but you also have to invest sometimes! I've never had to pay a deposit at a hotel!

The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated in the style of the 80s. Everything is very harmonious and, as the name suggests, a bit provocative. The room had e.g. a large mirror over the bed and a free-standing bathtub in the room. The staff was super friendly and the location is good. Is close to a subway station. I still have one big point of criticism, the breakfast. Point 1. We paid for breakfast when we booked and were therefore no longer able to order it to our room. Otherwise we would have had to pay twice. Point 2. It was really tasty in terms of quality, but A we didn't get full of it for long because it was a la card and B all breakfast menus cost 25€
