Came with moderately high expectations, considering the reviews. Food was ok: the noodles were tasteless, I recommend skipping them completely. Chicken with spices was good, even though slightly too sweet, which really brought me not to finish it, and that's where I asked for food bag. 1 interaction every 5 minutes to get the food bag. After asking for it, we were told we were to pay it 50 cents. Weird, but ok, I don't want food to be thrown. Told twice "Ein Moment!" while waiting silently. After 15 minutes, they bring us the container with the bag, we pack it, and again we must wait to pay and leave. At payment, I couldn't avoid thinking that the usual pause for the tip was unnecessary. How am I supposed to tip, if basic commodities are to be paid extra, and service is slow and unfriendly? I appreciate the effort with setting up an environment, mostly observable from the room most people are not in, but you're still going to be sitting in what looks like corridors of a mall.

The sweeter Mapo Tofu is delicious, and the braised pork belly with preserved mustard greens is also very fragrant.

As a true West Berliner, this was actually my first time at Ming Dynasty. I had some preconceived notions that it might be a place adapted to Western tastes. In fact, many Chinese families also go there and appreciate the specialty menu. The food is authentic and plentiful. Unfortunately, one tofu dish was microwaved (you can tell because some things on the plate are lukewarm while others are piping hot), and as a Westerner, you're only given chopsticks, bowls, and vinegar for the dumplings if you ask for them. The ambiance next to McDonald's isn't particularly appealing either. However, even when the place is packed, everyone gets their food within 20 minutes, and the waiters are always attentive and patiently wait for the next group of tourists who want to pay separately.

The Mao Xue Wang (a spicy Sichuan dish) is very generous in portion and delicious.

We ordered two dishes: - kung pao - sweet sour chicken The kung pao was vey small, contained very few chicken slices and the taste was so so The sweet sour chicken was a german schnizel with sauce on the side. Very disappointing.

Great place, lovely service. Staff offered alternative to soup with the lunch menu which was spring rolls and really tasty. Chicken and duck with vegetables and crispy baked were wonderful as well.

This is the absolute best value for money! You'll be stuffed! The boiled pork kidney was served in a huge bowl, bigger than a head! (My friend said the boiled fish was about the same size!) The vegetable portions were also generous. Two people could eat until they were stuffed! 🤣 If two girls (with small appetites) order one dish like spicy blood curd, boiled fish, or big plate chicken, that's enough!

A friend recommended this place, and it was my first time eating here. I ordered stir-fried potatoes, eggplant, and green peppers with potatoes and green peppers, and boiled beef. The taste was very authentic, and the owner and staff provided excellent service! I'll definitely come back again!

As chinese we always look for some chinese restaurants when we are on holiday, it’s same this time when we traveled from dublin, food is super nice , especially spicy fish fillet, to be honest not big fan with duck .. also beef ribs are good too ; it’s not pricy - recommended

The food is perfect we ordered A1 lamb rice dish, and C13 as the beef noodle soup! Service is normal you have to wait long time! Atmosphere would be better if it was isolated from the whole shopping mall it’s a bit noisy and no music!

I came across Ming Dynastie in West Berlin when I was craving proper Chinese food, and it turned out to be a very comforting stop. The place feels relaxed and welcoming, not trying too hard, just quietly doing its job well. It is the kind of restaurant where you can sit down, breathe, and enjoy your meal without rushing. I ordered the Yang Zhou fried rice and a tofu dish. The tofu was good, nicely cooked and satisfying, but the fried rice completely stole the spotlight. Fragrant, well-seasoned, and full of flavor, it is one of those dishes that stays in your memory even after the plate is empty. Simple, but done right, and that is what makes it special. Overall, Ming Dynastie is a solid choice if you are looking for delicious Chinese food in a comfortable setting. No drama, no overstatement, just good food that makes you want to come back, especially for that unforgettable fried rice. The tofu was nice, but the fried rice… that’s the reason to return.

Really tasty and authentic Chinese food! I’d recommend their Mapo Tofu! Their portion size is pretty big, so order less or be ready to have some tasty leftovers.

This restaurant is very outdated! It feels like a mass catering operation, and the food arrived very quickly and wasn't really good – I've rarely eaten worse! I don't know where all the "great" reviews come from; they're somewhat misleading!

I found the atmosphere pleasant with the nice wooden tables, but unfortunately, the direct view into the Europa Center made it feel a bit like a cafeteria. I didn't like the food, even though it was recommended by a friend. I had one of the lunch specials, which included a soup starter that unfortunately looked and tasted like sweet and sour sauce, and the main course wasn't very impressive. The staff was friendly, but I wouldn't go back.

Very tasty Chinese food. My favorite appetizers are chicken feet and gizzards with intestines – they're just top notch. And the jellyfish salad is also great – it's so crunchy!!!!

Came for lunch with 4 persons and two baby prams, they were able to accommodate us comfortably. Food was delicious, my favourite was the 水煮鱼. They also have a lunch menu.

Relaxed atmosphere with very good food

I was really impressed with the food. As a vegetarian, I usually find the same vegetables and tofu on the menu, but here you have a really wide selection of unique and tasty dishes. The vegetarian chicken in sweet and sour sauce is delicious!

I've eaten there three times now. Chinese stomachs are easily conquered by hot pot broth. Although heavy oil and salt would be looked down upon in China, I recommend Daming to every Chinese person living in Germany.

Only go there if you really love Chinese food. The spices can be very intimidating and the chilli can put the you off. The vibe is great and it's recommended to go with a chinese friend. The portion size is deceiving and you may end up with 2 ltr of soup for one person if you don't know what to expect.

I went here once for lunch and had no complaints. The service was good, the food was very good, and the ambiance was a bit like eating in a department store, which it essentially is, but that creates a lot of noise and makes it feel anything but cozy. I recently tried to make a reservation for a Saturday, but it wasn't confirmed. So I went there spontaneously, hoping for a free table, but it was completely overrun with tourists and the line barely moved. So I went somewhere else. I would recommend making a reservation. It's not possible on weekends, and be prepared to wait.

However, I would improve the service; it was lacking for me personally. The waiters and waitresses seemed to stare, which made me feel uncomfortable, and their German skills left something to be desired. That's why I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 – there's definitely room for improvement!
