I am glad I found this cafe! The pancakes are delicious, the menu has a lot of different toppings. The portions are huge. We ordered sandwiches and pancakes, we were very full. I took half of the portion with me. The waiters were polite. The hoods in the cafe do not work well, there is a strong smell from the kitchen, but the summer terrace is great.

The coffee and the mango bowl had little taste. The staff was very friendly. We had a long wait because the store was very busy.

This is no doubt one of the best pancake places I have been to in the recent past. They have a very limited but interesting collection of the pancakes and drinks to compliment them. I had the pleasure of having a lotus pancake with a cappuccino. The reason I chose cappuccino was because I was feeling a bit down due to the weather. I recommend trying other drinks too (hot as well cold). The staff is amazing and is very cooperative. They help you if you are new to the pancake game. I went with their suggestion and don't regret it for a moment. The only reason I have given this place 4 stars is because though it is in the top 10 places of pancakes I've been, still there are better like fuwa fuwa. But overall I recommend you to please visit this place if you are a pancake lover.

We ate egg dishes and they were delicious. Reuben Benedict is highly recommended! The Iced Cafe Latte was also delicious. The location was stylishly decorated and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The only negative point was the slightly higher prices. Gladly again in the future.

Incredible, from the location to the cuisine, truly pure joy

Their salmon bowl is a deliciously absolute preis-leistung killer. while the rest of the city gorge on farmed and overpriced salmon, those at Chinaski indulge in wild, fjord salmon. their staff, too, are top notch—if you don’t find them nice, there’s probably something wrong with you. some of them there since years, one can assume that the management probably keeps the employees quite happy. remarkably receptive to criticism, they are keen to improve on all fronts. no non-sense. i might even add that though their clientele is the type i personally avoid, maybe even detest, the business is one of the most respectable in the city and benchmark-worthy. salute!

Quite a nice place , ideal for brunches)

We were immediately greeted in a friendly and warm manner. A beautifully decorated cafe with a positive atmosphere. There was a good selection of drinks and food, which was all really tasty and, above all, very filling. The prices are a bit expensive, but you get the corresponding performance in return. Given the prices, a visit there would still be an exception for me personally😄 but in principle I highly recommend it!

Delicious place with a beautiful view of the Opera House. We ordered a bacon Benedict, Pastrami sandwich and pancakes. The portions are really large, the only drawback is that the yolk did not spread, but was completely cooked and the knives were terribly dull, it was impossible to cut with them. But overall, the impression is pleasant, the portions are filling and tasty :)

Excellent coffee, ideal for having very good breakfasts or Brunch. The service was very fast and friendly. The only thing perhaps against it is the slightly high prices. But the reality is that the portions are very large and the quality is excellent. I recommend it to visit if you are in the Alte Oper area.

I've been to Chinaski several times. If you want to go on the weekend, be prepared for a queue, but it moves faster than you think. The ambience far exceeds the food. The quality of the food used to be better, but now it's moving towards fast food, but with an aesthetic presentation. The pancakes appear to be warmed up and are only decorated with berries and syrup. The toasts are okay. However, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is friendly. Taking into account the location, service and atmosphere, the prices are acceptable. Unfortunately, the food itself doesn't justify the price. I used to happily pay for it, but now if you want to eat well you should consider other options. The café is good, but not worth visiting at the moment. If Chinaski returns to its former quality, it would be worth a visit again. Unfortunately not at the moment.

Food for instagram, not so tasty

It's very pleasant there and you feel very comfortable. The great colors and the relaxing music make everything even more beautiful. The service and the waiter are really a great guy!! very friendly and you feel very comfortable there - even if it's your first time there😆 - the bowls taste very good and so do the burritos. Unfortunately, it's a little more expensive than expected and sometimes the money for the food isn't entirely worth it, but you just need to be more informed in advance. generally very great!

This brunch place is incredibly good and highly recommended! The food was amazing and the staff was very nice .It's one of the best brunch restaurants I've ever eaten at.

We visited this lovely restaurant today. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and were allowed to choose a table. Drinks and food menus were used via your own cell phone. Orders were placed very quickly and the drinks were on the table in a flash. The prices are high, but still reasonable for the portions. After paying, we were immediately asked whether the leftovers could be packed up. The overall impression was very good! There will definitely be another visit on our part. Ps: There is a toilet, it could be a little cleaner and the fittings could be in working order.

A beautiful cafe. The furnishings are very very attractive. A real experience. There is excellent matcha and a wide variety of food. Of course the eye eats too. The staff was also a great chef and responded to any special requests. A great stay

I had the pleasure of visiting this pancake shop and absolutely loved it! First of all, my order arrived incredibly quickly - I was surprised at how efficient the service was. The staff were also extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. Their attentiveness is particularly noteworthy: they always made sure that I didn't lack anything. The pancakes were fluffy and perfectly baked, and the selection of toppings and syrups left nothing to be desired. You can tell that the attention to detail is worked here. I highly recommend this store and will definitely come back!

Stopped in post shopping for a drink. Good atmosphere. Didn’t try food this time but the wine was very tasty and the service was good.

pancakes were extremely bland. place was horribly cramped & there was construction outside so you couldn’t enjoy any views. the lighting felt like you were sitting in the dark. servers were fine but when i complained to them about my drink “mariposa lemonade” that didn’t look like the one on the menu & tasted like water mixed with cucumber with no taste of lemonade or anything else whatsoever, they didn’t try to help. i was looking forward to eating the pancakes, truly, but the lack of flavour (despite all the toppings!!!) was definitely not worth the price. also don’t expect to get the same thing you see on the menu, there was a lot of false advertising. overall awful experience, will never come here again & do not recommend if you’re looking for tasty pancakes (or drinks) around frankfurt!

The mariposa lemonade tasted like pickle water, it was sour and not like any butterfly pea tea i've tried before, DO NOT BUY IT I PAYED 7€ FOR DISGUSTING PICKLE WATER THAT DIDNT EVEN LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE The pancakes themselves we extremely bland and the blueberry jam and banana sauce were only used to overcompensate for the lack of flavor, the texture was nice and fluffy though. The staff wasn't extraordinary friendly or mean, they offered me a splash of elderberry syrup to try and better the taste of the disgusting drink , which was a thoughtful gesture. (Didn't work tho) The lighting was horrible and the place is cramped. Overall, overhyped, overpriced and would not recommend!!

Rarely have we experienced such unfriendly service. Service underground. Edit: We went to the Chinaski Tagesbar with the intention of sitting comfortably together and having a drink to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Opernplatz festival. Unfortunately, the two waitresses were very unfriendly to us as soon as we entered the restaurant, which didn't change during our stay. We felt so uncomfortable that we should have left straight away, but ordered something anyway. It was immediately assumed that you were only entering the restaurant because of the toilet, which may be understandable on days like those of the Opernplatz Festival. However, the sound makes the music here and we actually couldn't understand why people speak to customers in such a bad mood and unprofessionally - especially since we actually went to the Chinaski to linger and have something to drink. After we decided to stay anyway, we were ignored for a long time, so much so that we even thought that the restaurant was self-service because both waitresses were standing at the bar and obviously had nothing to do and were chatting privately. I am very disappointed and will not be coming back.

First of all, the interior design is really nice, but that doesn't justify the prices. Both their pancakes and their drinks are more appearance than reality. I can't understand why this store is so hyped. You can visit it once, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Great Location with a staff that speaks very good English. The food and service was excellent and I felt like I could have been in New York City or Los Angeles. The Reuben Benedict was fantastic and they were very accommodating when I came in with my baby.

We went there 1 year ago, everything was perfect. 1 year later, extremely high on the service and how we were received. The 2 waitresses do not come to take our order 30 minutes after our arrival, it is we who have to call them so that they take the order. Then we wait another 30 minutes for our dishes (which never arrived), she admits that she forgot it and 30 seconds later they bring the cold dishes. No apologies from them….. So dear French I advise you not to go there you will not be well received with staff like that. Having 15,000 subscribers on Instagram I would be sure to let people know there too!

The food is good, the service is average. What bothers me is that when I arrived I took a table inside and they asked me to move to accommodate a couple that arrived after. I don't mind moving but it is always the way they ask. Keep in mind if you go alone they will push you to leave the table asap.

This is a wonderful brunch spot. They do not take reservations, but don’t let that deter you. The food was delicious and the drinks were great! I would highly recommend any of the pancakes. They were fluffy and filling. I would definitely go again and have already recommended it friends.

The curly-haired waiter is truly an asset to this cute shop. Food is really really cool. When the weather is good, a cool vibe on the side of the road, recommendation goes out!

We were there for breakfast. You have to be lucky to get a seat in this place. The restaurant is very small, so the tables are placed very close together. It was also very loud because of the many visitors. I had avocado toast. However, I found it to be a bit “carelessly” prepared for the price. Coffee prices are also a bit more expensive here. I actually hoped for more from the restaurant. I will continue to test other restaurants in and around Frankfurt. 😊 The service was very friendly!

The setting is very pretty and the staff are adorable. You have to come early enough otherwise you risk waiting in line. The food is plentiful and good.

This isn't the first time we've been guests at Chinaski, we're always happy to come back. Important, no reservation possible, allow 10-15 minutes waiting time, as it is particularly busy in the mornings on weekends. The food on the menu is varied and varied, and the prices are in the higher range. The sandwiches, no matter what kind, have become increasingly “crispy” lately, so the kitchen should reconsider how long they are roasted. Pancakes are a must for dessert, mark my words. This is clearly worth emphasizing friendly staff, service really 10/10.

The Chinaskibar can really only be recommended. The food is delicious and the ambience is excellent. Depending on the waiter, the service is sometimes very good. The prices are adjusted to the location. It's just a shame that sitting on the terrace is no longer so nice due to the privacy of the construction site.

I rented the day bar exclusively for my birthday in the evening and it was excellent from start to finish. Every single one of the team was friendly, in a good mood, thoughtful and unobtrusive. My guests were thrilled with the really delicious drinks, especially the espresso martinis :) The midnight snack (wraps) were highly praised. We were there right when it opened at 10 a.m. on Sunday and easily got a table for four people. The staff was extremely friendly, polite, courteous and committed. Drinks and food didn't take long to arrive and tasted really good. Definitely recommended!!

Ein wunderschöner Laden, in dem eine tolle Atmosphäre herrscht. Hier spürt man direkt die Liebe zum Detail und zum Gast. Gemütliche Einrichtung, liebevolle und aufmerksame Servicemitarbeiter sorgen dafür, dass man sich hier sehr wohl fühlt. Die Gerichte sind einfach ein Gaumen- und Augenschmaus! Hier findet man eine tolle Auswahl an außergewöhnlichen Gerichten (wir waren zum Frühstück hier), die nicht nur hervorragend schmecken, sondern einfach unglaublich schön serviert werden. Wir würden auf jeden Fall diese Location weiter empfehlen und freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen, wenn wir mal wieder in Frankfurt sind.

I actually really enjoy going to the Chinaski Tagesbar, but today was the last time… My visit took place this Friday afternoon. Followed by a very unfriendly reception, there was an incredibly long wait for the waiter, so much so that we almost suspected he was ignoring us. However, at our next table the world looked completely different! As it turned out, the guests at the table next to us were also French, like the waiter in question. They then talked loudly throughout the restaurant, whereupon I asked if it would be possible for us to sit at one of the outside tables. Unfortunately, this was not granted to me because, in his opinion, the tables were wet. He told me this several times and presumptuously! When our order came to the table incorrectly several times, the lady at the next table pointed out to me that this was probably because the waiter had already drunk a few glasses too many. At first I thought this was an assumption, which later proved to be true when I paid. I don't want to mention his name publicly, but his initials are: C. H.

Very tasty breakfast!!!!! The coffee is simply great! The food tastes very good, the pancakes are filling. It's not exactly cheap, but the quality and the loving arrangement with flowers etc. justify it. The service is friendly, attentive, nice and remembers the order without errors, which is now rather rare when a restaurant is busy like this one. Unfortunately, reservations are not possible. For groups of 4 or more, it is better to come early or plan for a waiting time.

ich schreibe normalerweise keine bewertungen, aber muss das leider loswerden. gestern haben wir uns mit einer freundin reingesetzt und 2 bowls gegessen (war sehr lecker). wollten anschließend noch dessert‘s haben. als wir unsere dessert bestellung aufgegeben haben, hat die kellnerin uns unterbrochen und „das reicht dann aber auch“ gesagt. wir haben für die bowls bezahlt, auf die dessert’s verzichtet und sind gegangen. hätte das jemand mit einer essstörung gehört, wäre das sehr schlimm für die person gewesen. sind sehr enttäuscht.

Adresse à faire à Francfort, très bon et bonne ambiance. Un des serveurs a été très serviable avec nous et heureusement car l'une des serveuses (qui semble être la plus âgée) a été au contraire extrêmement froide avec nous ( nous sommes un couple d'origine africaine), comparé à toutes les autres personnes présentent on voyait clairement la différence dans sa manière de s'adresser à nous, quand je suis entrée pour demander une information, aucun "bonjour", elle m'a évité. Une fois installée: zéro sourire, ne nous proposait pas des commodités comme aux autres, c'est dommage... Mais j'en garde quand même une bonne expérience

So eine tolle Bar!! Ich bin echt erstaunt wie gut und einzigartig das Essen ist, wie super lieb und locker alle Kellner drauf sind und die Location genauso wie die Atmosphäre sind wirklich sehr schön. So gute Restaurants gibts es heutzutage wirklich selten. Geht auf jeden Fall da hin! Hab noch nie so gute Pancakes und Burritos gegessen!

The most important thing about this place is that food is great. Sandwiches and pancakes were extraordinary delicious. Top notch. Service staff were very friendly and smiling all the time. The only negative thing is that pricing is not reasonable. Everything could be 10%-20% cheaper. And from my point of view I'm not very satisfied with warm and non-alcoholic drinks. Drinks were designed above average but not tasted beautifully. It needs a rework.

Gestern Abend war ein sehr sympathischer Kellner da, er hatte eine super gute Energie. Und sehr aufmerksam und höflich. Ich habe nicht mit meinem Date sehr wohl gefühlt. Ihm hat es auch gefallen leckeres Essen und sympathisch das Restaurant.

...had been a big fan of their salmon bowl for a while. until the one i got today was extremely subpar. did they get a new cook? first off, there were only 5 tiny pieces of salmon, equivalent to less than half of what they used to put in. and the ratio of rice was so off that it was swimming in mush. disgusting, actually. if consistency defines a good food joint. chinaski has now fallen from grace, like the namesake character in Ham On Rye. just what the hell happened?

The TURMERIC LATTE tasted like water. I don’t like the service I got. It’s kinda mean. They asked for 5%, 10%, 15% tips when you check out.

Dies war mein erster Besuch in diesem Restaurant, auf Empfehlung. Wir wurden hervorragend Bedient von einem Venezolaner und einer wunderhübchen Frau aus Eritrea, beide Sprachen sehr gut Deutsch. Die Empfehlungen für das Essen hatte bestens gepasst und war auch super lecker. Eigentlich bin ich kein grosser Freund von Pancakes, aber diese hier sind das beste was ich je gegessen hatte, vielen Dank für alles, natürlich komme ich wieder.

Wir besuchten Chinaski, einen Frühstücksladen, und wurden von einer sehr netten Kellnerin begrüßt. Sie erlaubte uns sogar, unser Gepäck, das wir von der Anreise aus Berlin mitgebracht hatten, hinter der Bar zu deponieren, was wirklich hilfreich war. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber es schien, als würde der Laden mehr Wert auf die Präsentation für Social Media legen. In meinen Augen war der Preis im Verhältnis zum Geschmack und der Portion etwas zu hoch.

Diese Tagesbar hat das Frühstücksspiel definitiv im Griff! Perfekt für Brunchdates - leckeres Essen, Instagram-würdig und tolle Drinks mit gesunden Optionen. Das Service-Team ist auch top! 🍳🍹😄

Very nice place and special food, but we came at rush-hour and it wasvery dense

The waiter was absolutely lovely and welcomed us with a bright smile although they were very busy. The inside is somewhat packed and small, but the setting is friendly and people like coming here and it shows, the pancakes were delicious.

Es war leider sehr gut. Die Preise sind halt Frankfurt geschuldet. Aber alles in allem ein tolles Erlebnis. Dienstage war ganz ok, halt an der Straße gelegen. Trotzdem würden wir wieder kommen.

Sono stata in questo locale con un'amica e siamo state molto bene. la posizione è centralissima, davanti all'Alte Oper. Il locale dà sulla strada perciò è abbastanza rumoroso attorno ma okay. I drink sono molto buoni e ci è stato portato da bere e da mangiare in pochissimo tempo. Il cibo era buono e ben presentato, con porzioni abbondanti. Tutto ciò che hanno ordinato le persone accanto a noi sembrava molto invitante. Abbiamo ordinato 1 tagliere e drink a testa e il costo era abbastanza elevato (56 euro in due) ma capisco che sia anche per la posizione del locale. Visti i prezzi non è un posto che frequenterei ogni settimana ma una volta ogni tanto ci può stare. Ci tornerò sicuramente per un brunch!

War hier mit Freunden Frühstücken. Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück war auch lecker. Kann man auf jedenfall empfehlen. Was leider sehr schade ist, dass hoer keine Reservierungen angenommen werden. Man sollte daher früh da sein, sonst wird es schwierig ein Plätzchen zu finden und man muss teilweise sehr lange warten. Zudem ist es direkt an einer Kreuzung gegenüber der alten Oper und dadurch recht laut. Uns hat es nicht gestört, sollte aber jemand was ruhiges suchen ist er hier vermutlich falsch. Wir kommen wieder und schauen mal was die Pancakes so können, aussehen tun sie nämlich äußerst gut. Bis bald

Es ist ein kleiner Lokal, welcher spss eingerischter wurde. Hatte das Toast mit Avocado und Ei. War sehr sehr lecker. Es hatte noch Tomaten Sauce drauf, ist ihnen gelungen vom Geschmack her. Der Matcha Latte (warm) war sehr süss und viel Rahm.

War mal eines meiner Stammlokale. Aber nach corona hat man da einige schräge Leute in den Service geholt. Einmal war in der Stosszeit angebilich die Lüche geschlossen. Und einmal alles ausgebucht obwohl da Tische frei waren. Scheint sehr selektiv auf Klientel zu setzen oder einfach nur nicht so intelligenter Service. Schade weio die alten Hasen sehe ich immer noch und sind unverändert freundlich

Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und die Portionen waren groß genug, um den Hunger für das Mittagessen ebenfalls zu stillen. Das Restaurant war sehr hübsch und angenehm gestalten und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Es gibt nichts daran auszusetzen.

Popped in for a quick breakfast before our train. Really great breakfast with friendly helpful staff. Our bags were stored away while we ate our food which was quite thoughtful and helpful. Coffee was delicious as well as my overnight oats with plums. My friends and I had really great food with friendly staff. Food was out quick and everything was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant for your next visit to a Frankfurt.
