Seven of us were at the Chinsaki restaurant and had an all-around fantastic evening! For starters, we ordered various sharing dishes – all delicious and perfectly portioned. As an aperitif, we had delicious cocktails that really kicked off the evening. For main courses, we chose a risotto with wild garlic, pasta with shrimp, and a fantastic steak – each dish was simply delicious and of the highest quality! The preparation was perfect, and the flavors simply harmonious. To finish off, we tried the desserts, which were also delicious and perfect for sharing. The service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was very pleasant. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the restaurant!

Studio Bar Chinaski – Frankfurt with Taste, Soul, and Style An evening at Studio Bar Chinaski is more than just dining – it's a complete experience. The cuisine, atmosphere, drinks, and clientele – everything blends together in an elegant, relaxed way. We began with a selection of sharing plates, which we enjoyed together at our table – casual, communicative, and full of flavor. The Green Tzatziki with Greek yogurt, avocado, cucumber, and tapioca crackers was light, fresh, and delicately balanced. The Whipped Feta with Crunchy Chili Cranberry impressed with its interplay of creaminess, sweetness, spiciness, and crunch – accompanied by rye bread that perfectly complemented it. Particularly aromatic: the Roasted Eggplant with Tahini & Lime Pesto – velvety cooked eggplant, cashew gremolata, lime pesto, tahini, and pomegranate. And of course: Sourdough Bread & Whipped Nutbutter – sourdough bread with fluffy, nutty butter. Clearly, that was a strong start. The drinks? Also impressive. Our gin cocktail with berries was fruity, balanced, not too sweet – a lovely start that whetted the appetite for the rest of the evening. The main courses were where things got really exciting again: The Wasabi Salmon – tenderly cooked salmon with pea puree, pea salad, blackberries, and a crunch of peanuts and wasabi – was my personal highlight. Jan Hoffmann's signature was clearly evident here: bold combinations, finely balanced, composed with sensitivity. The Barley & Watercress Risotto was equally convincing – fresh, green notes, lemon foam, Parmesan crisp, all combined with a light touch. The Entraña Marinada, a marinated sirloin steak with chimichurri, habanero salsa, and passion fruit, was robust, perfectly cooked, and we ordered two of them – along with two roasted triplets, wonderfully aromatic potatoes with rosemary and tomato flakes. A harmonious combination. The Damn Good Caesar Salad with corn-fed chicken, pancetta, and Parmigiano was also a delight – classic, robust, and perfectly executed. For dessert, we had the Chocolate Fudge & Mini Milk with milk ice cream, dulce, caramelized white chocolate, and Tellicherry pepper – another dish that reflects Jan Hoffmann's signature style: sophisticated, thoughtful, and yet absolutely delicious. The Cheesecake Addiction with pistachio and berry coulis was creamy, fruity, and very delicately presented. The service, which played a key role in shaping the evening, deserves special mention. Special mention goes to Clemant, a truly charming Frenchman with a subtle northern Parisian accent – ​​attentive, pleasant, and with a congenial ease that wonderfully matched the mood of the evening. Equally warm and dedicated was Mikki, who guided the evening with insight and a keen sense for the guests. Both contributed significantly to the special atmosphere with their personal style. The bar team – professional, warm, and unpretentious – also did a fantastic job, expertly mixing drinks and displaying a relaxed demeanor. In general, the entire staff – from reception to the final round – was consistently friendly, dedicated, and present, without ever being intrusive. The atmosphere at Chinaski is not only defined by the food, but also by the space and the people. The large glass facade was open that evening as the sun set – a warm light, a gentle breeze, a view of the Old Opera House. Almost like a scene from a movie. And the audience was also part of the experience: a charming mix, communicative, stylish, and lively – just like the place itself. Conclusion: Studio Bar Chinaski is a place where cuisine, service, drinks, and atmosphere merge into a true experience. Jan Hoffmann's signature is noticeable where it should be – with subtlety, creativity, and taste. The rest is carried by a fantastic team, a stylish location, and the feeling that you are exactly where you want to be. In short: a poem of an evening. Clearly recommended.

Even though we didn't have a reservation, we immediately looked for a way to make our evening as pleasant as possible - with success! The welcome was warm, the team extremely competent and attentive. After the re-opening, the location shines in new splendor and offers an even more beautiful atmosphere. An all-round successful visit – we would love to come back!

Our evening at Chinaski was simply fantastic! From the first minute we felt completely at home. The atmosphere is stylish, cozy and invites you to enjoy the evening in relaxed company. The staff was consistently friendly, attentive and always available without being intrusive. We weren't disappointed in terms of cuisine either. The steak was cooked to perfection, the pasta was wonderfully aromatic - we would order both again at any time! The cocktails were a particular highlight: creative, unusual and perfectly balanced. Here you can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality and taste. An all-round successful evening - we will definitely be back and can only recommend Chinaski!

Very delicate and well assembled food served on sharing plates with well-mixed drinks and cocktails for dinner! Highly recommend the pancakes for breakfast, too! The atmosphere changes throughout the day to get the right vibe for the right time!

I visited Chinaski Studio& Bar on a weekday evening and it was already packed with people. We didn't have a reservation so we got a seat right next to other guests and it was louder than a club so we had to scream the whole time to have a conversation. The waiters asked several times if we would like to order food even though we already had our drinks. If you like a chic atmosphere and want to have a good evening with friends this is the place, but for me the prices for the drinks and food were exorbitant and it was nothing special

Before the renovation and the reopening I would have always given 5 stars, but: Since the reopening, you can only make reservations in the evening, meaning you can easily stand in front of the door for half an hour (+ x) and wait for your turn. This is a particularly great solution because you obviously have endless time in the morning and then have nothing to do afterwards (sarcasm). In addition, prices have been increased and portions have been reduced. In my opinion, the prices were already on the higher side before, but now it's just overpriced. In addition, the new ambience is rather listless and no longer as friendly and inviting as before, even if that is probably subjective. Overall, an insane downgrade to what I was used to and just another listlessly run and overpriced, wannabe-fancy restaurant in Frankfurt. Well suited for a nice insta story, but that’s it.

Even though there were a lot of people there, the service wasn't slow. We ordered a sandwich and pancakes—both were delicious.

After a few weeks of renovation, Chinaski welcomes us today in the "soft opening" with a cool new design with delicious drinks and, as usual, delicious food. I would like to highlight the very warm, courteous service staff.

One of the best pastrami sandwiches I have ever had. I don’t know anyone else in the city who offers something like this, let alone anyone who does it better. And the pancakes... wow! From their presentation to the taste, absolutely amazing! Definitely one of my favorite spots in the city. Love it!

I’d recommend this spot mainly for their pancakes! I visit this place every time for their pancakes, especially the STRAWBERRY & SALTED CARAMEL and the RAFFAELLO ones—they’re amazing and highly recommended. The simple Chocolate & Banana Pancakes aren’t as special. I also tried their toasts and sandwiches but didn’t like them, as there are many places with tastier sandwiches and better prices. Also the portions here are huge!

I am glad I found this cafe! The pancakes are delicious, the menu has a lot of different toppings. The portions are huge. We ordered sandwiches and pancakes, we were very full. I took half of the portion with me. The waiters were polite. The hoods in the cafe do not work well, there is a strong smell from the kitchen, but the summer terrace is great.

This is no doubt one of the best pancake places I have been to in the recent past. They have a very limited but interesting collection of the pancakes and drinks to compliment them. I had the pleasure of having a lotus pancake with a cappuccino. The reason I chose cappuccino was because I was feeling a bit down due to the weather. I recommend trying other drinks too (hot as well cold). The staff is amazing and is very cooperative. They help you if you are new to the pancake game. I went with their suggestion and don't regret it for a moment. The only reason I have given this place 4 stars is because though it is in the top 10 places of pancakes I've been, still there are better like fuwa fuwa. But overall I recommend you to please visit this place if you are a pancake lover.

We ate egg dishes and they were delicious. Reuben Benedict is highly recommended! The Iced Cafe Latte was also delicious. The location was stylishly decorated and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The only negative point was the slightly higher prices. Gladly again in the future.

Their salmon bowl is a deliciously absolute preis-leistung killer. while the rest of the city gorge on farmed and overpriced salmon, those at Chinaski indulge in wild, fjord salmon. their staff, too, are top notch—if you don’t find them nice, there’s probably something wrong with you. some of them there since years, one can assume that the management probably keeps the employees quite happy. remarkably receptive to criticism, they are keen to improve on all fronts. no non-sense. i might even add that though their clientele is the type i personally avoid, maybe even detest, the business is one of the most respectable in the city and benchmark-worthy. salute!

We were immediately greeted in a friendly and warm manner. A beautifully decorated cafe with a positive atmosphere. There was a good selection of drinks and food, which was all really tasty and, above all, very filling. The prices are a bit expensive, but you get the corresponding performance in return. Given the prices, a visit there would still be an exception for me personally😄 but in principle I highly recommend it!

Delicious place with a beautiful view of the Opera House. We ordered a bacon Benedict, Pastrami sandwich and pancakes. The portions are really large, the only drawback is that the yolk did not spread, but was completely cooked and the knives were terribly dull, it was impossible to cut with them. But overall, the impression is pleasant, the portions are filling and tasty :)

Excellent coffee, ideal for having very good breakfasts or Brunch. The service was very fast and friendly. The only thing perhaps against it is the slightly high prices. But the reality is that the portions are very large and the quality is excellent. I recommend it to visit if you are in the Alte Oper area.

I've been to Chinaski several times. If you want to go on the weekend, be prepared for a queue, but it moves faster than you think. The ambience far exceeds the food. The quality of the food used to be better, but now it's moving towards fast food, but with an aesthetic presentation. The pancakes appear to be warmed up and are only decorated with berries and syrup. The toasts are okay. However, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is friendly. Taking into account the location, service and atmosphere, the prices are acceptable. Unfortunately, the food itself doesn't justify the price. I used to happily pay for it, but now if you want to eat well you should consider other options. The café is good, but not worth visiting at the moment. If Chinaski returns to its former quality, it would be worth a visit again. Unfortunately not at the moment.

It's very pleasant there and you feel very comfortable. The great colors and the relaxing music make everything even more beautiful. The service and the waiter are really a great guy!! very friendly and you feel very comfortable there - even if it's your first time there😆 - the bowls taste very good and so do the burritos. Unfortunately, it's a little more expensive than expected and sometimes the money for the food isn't entirely worth it, but you just need to be more informed in advance. generally very great!

We visited this lovely restaurant today. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and were allowed to choose a table. Drinks and food menus were used via your own cell phone. Orders were placed very quickly and the drinks were on the table in a flash. The prices are high, but still reasonable for the portions. After paying, we were immediately asked whether the leftovers could be packed up. The overall impression was very good! There will definitely be another visit on our part. Ps: There is a toilet, it could be a little cleaner and the fittings could be in working order.

I had the pleasure of visiting this pancake shop and absolutely loved it! First of all, my order arrived incredibly quickly - I was surprised at how efficient the service was. The staff were also extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. Their attentiveness is particularly noteworthy: they always made sure that I didn't lack anything. The pancakes were fluffy and perfectly baked, and the selection of toppings and syrups left nothing to be desired. You can tell that the attention to detail is worked here. pancakes were extremely bland. place was horribly cramped & there was construction outside so you couldn’t enjoy any views. the lighting felt like you were sitting in the dark. servers were fine but when i complained to them about my drink “mariposa lemonade” that didn’t look like the one on the menu & tasted like water mixed with cucumber with no taste of lemonade or anything else whatsoever, they didn’t try to help. i was looking forward to eating the pancakes, truly, but the lack of flavour (despite all the toppings!!!) was definitely not worth the price. also don’t expect to get the same thing you see on the menu, there was a lot of false advertising. overall awful experience, will never come here again & do not recommend if you’re looking for tasty pancakes (or drinks) around frankfurt!

The mariposa lemonade tasted like pickle water, it was sour and not like any butterfly pea tea i've tried before, DO NOT BUY IT I PAYED 7€ FOR DISGUSTING PICKLE WATER THAT DIDNT EVEN LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE The pancakes themselves we extremely bland and the blueberry jam and banana sauce were only used to overcompensate for the lack of flavor, the texture was nice and fluffy though. The staff wasn't extraordinary friendly or mean, they offered me a splash of elderberry syrup to try and better the taste of the disgusting drink , which was a thoughtful gesture. (Didn't work tho) The lighting was horrible and the place is cramped. Overall, overhyped, overpriced and would not recommend!!

Edit: We went to the Chinaski Tagesbar with the intention of sitting comfortably together and having a drink to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Opernplatz festival. Unfortunately, the two waitresses were very unfriendly to us as soon as we entered the restaurant, which didn't change during our stay. We felt so uncomfortable that we should have left straight away, but ordered something anyway. It was immediately assumed that you were only entering the restaurant because of the toilet, which may be understandable on days like those of the Opernplatz Festival. However, the sound makes the music here and we actually couldn't understand why people speak to customers in such a bad mood and unprofessionally - especially since we actually went to the Chinaski to linger and have something to drink. After we decided to stay anyway, we were ignored for a long time, so much so that we even thought that the restaurant was self-service because both waitresses were standing at the bar and obviously had nothing to do and were chatting privately. I am very disappointed and will not be coming back.

First of all, the interior design is really nice, but that doesn't justify the prices. Both their pancakes and their drinks are more appearance than reality. I can't understand why this store is so hyped. You can visit it once, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Great Location with a staff that speaks very good English. The food and service was excellent and I felt like I could have been in New York City or Los Angeles. The Reuben Benedict was fantastic and they were very accommodating when I came in with my baby.

The food is good, the service is average. What bothers me is that when I arrived I took a table inside and they asked me to move to accommodate a couple that arrived after. I don't mind moving but it is always the way they ask. Keep in mind if you go alone they will push you to leave the table asap.

We went there 1 year ago, everything was perfect. 1 year later, extremely high on the service and how we were received. The 2 waitresses do not come to take our order 30 minutes after our arrival, it is we who have to call them so that they take the order. Then we wait another 30 minutes for our dishes (which never arrived), she admits that she forgot it and 30 seconds later they bring the cold dishes. No apologies from them….. So dear French I advise you not to go there you will not be well received with staff like that. Having 15,000 subscribers on Instagram I would be sure to let people know there too!

This is a wonderful brunch spot. They do not take reservations, but don’t let that deter you. The food was delicious and the drinks were great! I would highly recommend any of the pancakes. They were fluffy and filling. I would definitely go again and have already recommended it friends.

We were there for breakfast. You have to be lucky to get a seat in this place. The restaurant is very small, so the tables are placed very close together. It was also very loud because of the many visitors. I had avocado toast. However, I found it to be a bit “carelessly” prepared for the price. Coffee prices are also a bit more expensive here. I actually hoped for more from the restaurant. I will continue to test other restaurants in and around Frankfurt. 😊 The service was very friendly!

The setting is very pretty and the staff are adorable. You have to come early enough otherwise you risk waiting in line. The food is plentiful and good.

This isn't the first time we've been guests at Chinaski, we're always happy to come back. Important, no reservation possible, allow 10-15 minutes waiting time, as it is particularly busy in the mornings on weekends. The food on the menu is varied and varied, and the prices are in the higher range. The sandwiches, no matter what kind, have become increasingly “crispy” lately, so the kitchen should reconsider how long they are roasted. Pancakes are a must for dessert, mark my words. This is clearly worth emphasizing friendly staff, service really 10/10.

The Chinaskibar can really only be recommended. The food is delicious and the ambience is excellent. Depending on the waiter, the service is sometimes very good. The prices are adjusted to the location. It's just a shame that sitting on the terrace is no longer so nice due to the privacy of the construction site.

I rented the day bar exclusively for my birthday in the evening and it was excellent from start to finish. Every single one of the team was friendly, in a good mood, thoughtful and unobtrusive. My guests were thrilled with the really delicious drinks, especially the espresso martinis :) The midnight snack (wraps) were highly praised. We were there right when it opened at 10 a.m. on Sunday and easily got a table for four people. The staff was extremely friendly, polite, courteous and committed. Drinks and food didn't take long to arrive and tasted really good. Definitely recommended!!

Ein wunderschöner Laden, in dem eine tolle Atmosphäre herrscht. Hier spürt man direkt die Liebe zum Detail und zum Gast. Gemütliche Einrichtung, liebevolle und aufmerksame Servicemitarbeiter sorgen dafür, dass man sich hier sehr wohl fühlt. Die Gerichte sind einfach ein Gaumen- und Augenschmaus! Hier findet man eine tolle Auswahl an außergewöhnlichen Gerichten (wir waren zum Frühstück hier), die nicht nur hervorragend schmecken, sondern einfach unglaublich schön serviert werden. Wir würden auf jeden Fall diese Location weiter empfehlen und freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen, wenn wir mal wieder in Frankfurt sind.

I actually really enjoy going to the Chinaski Tagesbar, but today was the last time… My visit took place this Friday afternoon. Followed by a very unfriendly reception, there was an incredibly long wait for the waiter, so much so that we almost suspected he was ignoring us. However, at our next table the world looked completely different! As it turned out, the guests at the table next to us were also French, like the waiter in question. They then talked loudly throughout the restaurant, whereupon I asked if it would be possible for us to sit at one of the outside tables. Unfortunately, this was not granted to me because, in his opinion, the tables were wet. He told me this several times and presumptuously! When our order came to the table incorrectly several times, the lady at the next table pointed out to me that this was probably because the waiter had already drunk a few glasses too many. At first I thought this was an assumption, which later proved to be true when I paid. I don't want to mention his name publicly, but his initials are: C. H.

Eat drink well. Unfortunately there was no service from the ladies. Always aggressive, unfriendly undertone and take a really long time to be served even though there is almost nothing going on.

Very tasty breakfast!!!!! The coffee is simply great! The food tastes very good, the pancakes are filling. It's not exactly cheap, but the quality and the loving arrangement with flowers etc. justify it. The service is friendly, attentive, nice and remembers the order without errors, which is now rather rare when a restaurant is busy like this one. Unfortunately, reservations are not possible. For groups of 4 or more, it is better to come early or plan for a waiting time.

ich schreibe normalerweise keine bewertungen, aber muss das leider loswerden. gestern haben wir uns mit einer freundin reingesetzt und 2 bowls gegessen (war sehr lecker). wollten anschließend noch dessert‘s haben. als wir unsere dessert bestellung aufgegeben haben, hat die kellnerin uns unterbrochen und „das reicht dann aber auch“ gesagt. wir haben für die bowls bezahlt, auf die dessert’s verzichtet und sind gegangen. hätte das jemand mit einer essstörung gehört, wäre das sehr schlimm für die person gewesen. sind sehr enttäuscht.

Ein süßes kleines Café. Früh anstellen dann bekommt man einen Platz. Man kann leider nicht reservieren. Die Bedienung waren sehr freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend! Das Essen war der Wahnsinn! Es ging total schnell und war einfach genial. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail :) Einziger Minuspunkt: es ist ziemlich eng
