Paulaner in the Squaire in Frankfurt am Main

I had roast pork with dumpling and sauerkraut. The dumpling was ice cold, the meat with strange sauce was lukewarm, the cabbage was ok. After a complaint, a new plate arrived - unfortunately hardly better. Rarely eaten so badly, underground. My wife's salad was ok. The other guests at the next tables had also complained among themselves. Unfortunately not recommended! Unfortunately this has nothing to do with Paulaner!

One point deducted because it's cold. Otherwise really great. In the future, our first place to eat on our departures from Terminal 1. Food was very good, service was very courteous and quick.

Very tasty food, but prices corresponding to the airport. Very comfortable inside, not outside as it is very drafty and cool in the Squaire. Friendly service! Just the preparation time of 30 minutes. for a burger was very surprising. That's understandable with a knuckle, but with a burger? Well, then something else was ordered, because the lunch break isn't that long...

Disappointing experience at Paullaner Restaurant at Frankfurt Airport After several lunches at the Paullaner Restaurant on the Square at Frankfurt Airport and a total of four Christmas parties with our employees that we spent there, we came to the conclusion that the restaurant has obviously already earned enough to neglect the well-being of its customers. Occupancy on Christmas days seems to be the only criterion, as the money “comes in anyway”. First of all, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. However, as the restaurant became increasingly overbooked, he seemed to lose his professional demeanor and over time became noticeably rude to us. The highlight was when he loudly and bluntly asked for tips, which made most customers uncomfortable. If you're already having a bad day, you don't have to let the customer feel it too. We came to end the year in a positive mood after working from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tired but motivated to spend a good time with our employees, unfortunately our expectations were not met. I'm aware that Square's occupancy is very high at this time, but for me customer satisfaction is what matters most. After this evening I unfortunately have to say: That's it after four years. In the future, we will go somewhere else where the satisfied customer is still the focus of day-to-day business. Since we have learned that Paullaner's manager is also working at other restaurants in the Square, we would like to encourage interested customers to stay on the train or get on and continue.

The price is okay for an airport

We were here 1 year ago, and the food was far superior, as was the service. I'm not sharing photos as it was not the same... sigh....

The knuckle, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes as well as the Paulaner schnitzel were very good and the price was completely reasonable. Nice and quick staff.

Delicious goose dinner with friendly and attentive service. Very tasty and beautifully prepared. We also went there for goose dinner last year before our flight and definitely had to do it again this year.

A nice place inside of the massive Frankfurt airport. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding too. It's a convenient location to get a quick meal when traveling through FRA.

We were here for lunch and had various dishes. Apart from larger foreign tour groups, there was little going on here. The food is okay, the prices are a bit higher. It's okay for once in a while.

DO NOT GO IF IT'S PAST 9pm (2100)! 2 in our party were there before 9:15pm and was rudely reprimanded by waiter or owner? as to why they showed up so late and they cannot be served. Well, it's because that's how long it takes to get off the plane at 8:15pm, go through immigration, get your luggage, and check into the airport hotel! GOOGLE, read the multiple reviews here and change the times on this listing. They are barely open at 9pm, much less open till 10. Completely misleading.

According to the website, the kitchen is open until 9:30 p.m. We were turned away at 9:10 p.m. The kitchen had “closed five minutes earlier” today. Absolute no-go at an airport location where travelers rely on information about opening times.

The best way to finish off your trip. A meal at the Paulaner. My coworkers went next door to cap off this round of work; but, I came here again instead. Always have your supper here before going home.

Let’s assume a few things…okay? You’re a businessperson, you work at a decent company so you’re staying at the Hilton overnight for a flight in the morning, and you’ve spent the week eating meat, potatoes, bread and gravy. Don’t get me wrong, I love Germany, I love your food. Every lunch is like birthday dinner. So what do you do while staying true to the travel policy? You get that extra-thick blood moving and waddle to the opposite end (from Hilton). Get a pizza (flatbread) and 61 cubic inches (1 liter) of beer and count the hours until you get home.

I lived in Germany for three years. I understand busy but I don't understand incompetence. We sat down and eventually ordered a beer. We were forgotten about. After twenty minutes, we went inside and requested a menu. Forty minutes after we arrived, still no one came to take our order. I have patience but it was obvious we were not going to eat any time soon. Germany was once renowned for efficiency, I lived there I know. I also speak passable German. This was inexcusable. I have traveled widely, been to thirty countries. This was THE worst service and restaurant experience I've ever had. Save yourself the frustration. Do not eat here. Paulaner should revoke their ability to sell their product. I do not like to give bad reviews but no one should be exposed to service this bad. Hire staff!!

Tasty and nice portion size for a very fair price. Despite the 90% occupancy of the tables, the service was quick and friendly.

After our flight, as almost always, we quickly went to the Squaire for something to eat. This time to the Paulaner and we didn't regret it. Service was very friendly and accommodating, the food was very tasty and the portions were really large. Price/performance very fair. Gladly again.

When it's crowded, it takes a long time to come and take your order. I don't think it can be helped because there are so many seats. As expected from a restaurant run by a major beer manufacturer, the taste is unmistakable. The beer and food are delicious. It's a German pub. It's a very nice store with easy-to-enter and clear accounting.

Rarely have I had such a bad veal schnitzel as I did there. And that for just under €25. Beer was fine. I can't recommend it! Service friendly.

We had grilled pork knuckles with beer gravy, potato dumplings and cabbage salad. I had a beer. It was 35.6 euros. The food was excellent, crispy, a large amount, well seasoned.

Had an unexpectedly nice meal here when I was staying at an airport hotel. Ordered the biergoulash off the Oktoberfest menu which came with spaetzle and really hit the spot. I got the apple strudel for dessert and it was beautiful! Whoever is doing the desserts clearly thinks about "the first bite is with the eye". Also it was delicious. Service was a little slow to notice me, but I did pick a back corner and might have been hard to spot.

Paulaner has managed to bring Bavarian ambience to Squaire.

Authentic relaxing Bavarian food. Seating out front of the restaurant as well as seating inside the restaurant. Busy but well worth it. The staff do a great job of noticing when someone new comes and will come take your order. Food was delicious. I had the Winzerpfanne. It was plenty of food. I enjoy seeing Germans eating and doing group meals at restaurants as I know if it was not good food they wouldn’t be there. It is a hidden gem if you are not familiar with the area. It is located above Rewe. Take the escalators up one level. Or to level 5 if by elevator. Definitely worth the trip.

Wir waren im August 23 im Paulaner da wir auf dem Weg in die USA vorher im Sheraton am Flughafen übernachtet haben. Vom Flughafenhotel aus war es gut zu erreichen, wir mussten auch keinen Tisch reservieren. Das Personal war freundlich und schnell, das Essen und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gut. Wir haben noch einen schönen, entspannten Abend vor dem Flug hier verbracht.

Honest?! Paulaner’s Restaurant charges €10.90 for a plate of Obadza?! The plate comes with two small spoons of Obazda! Otherwise it is garnished with salad and radish. Really disappointing…. But actually you should have known about this tourist trap. Therefore - it's your own fault if you think you're getting Bavarian hospitality here.

You have to wait a long time, but the Haksen sausages are the best I've had while traveling in Germany.

I went here because I was staying at a hotel near the airport! We thoroughly enjoyed German food and beer!

Followed my nose here as the food smelled great. Was not dissapointed. I ordered the white sausage with pretzel and asked for some potato dumplings too. The sausages were served hot in a ceramic pot with their cooking water and the dumplings were cooked just right. It was fresh delicious and satisfying. I dont drink, but noticed other diners enjoying a variety of beers so they must be popular. If you fly or have a train through Frankfurt airport, try this place out. Hearty food, good price, good experience.

The food is very tasty and the service is quick and friendly. The ambience is nice considering the circumstances. But you just sit under the glass dome in the Squaire at the airport. If you're at the airport anyway, it's great, otherwise you'd prefer an outdoor beer garden.

Today there were eight of us in this restaurant and unfortunately we found that the service from a tall and strong waiter left a lot to be desired. He was impatient and showed his displeasure, which is completely unacceptable in a restaurant. Although I specifically requested that our eighth fried egg be fully cooked, this simple request was ignored. As a paying customer, I expect correctly executed orders as well as respectful and friendly service. Very disappointing!

Food was ok…unfortunately not so well seasoned. I ate roast pork with sauerkraut & potato dumplings - unfortunately both the meat and the dumplings were not well seasoned - the sauerkraut was delicious.

Have a good meal before the cruise… it works very well at the Paulaner. Large portions, delicious beers, nice atmosphere. Worth a visit if you like Bavarian cuisine.

Great place if you are staying at any of the hotels in Frankfurt airport. The food and the beer were great with the German flavor and the service was quick.

🍖Roasted German Pork Knuckles Two Versions €19,90: Pork trotters, sauerkraut, bread €20,90: Pork trotters, beer sauce, cabbage salad, 2 balls of potato dough I ordered the 20.90 euro version, but I thought I should have ordered the cheaper version. Cabbage salad is somewhere between lettuce and sauerkraut. I still prefer the pickled sauerkraut version. The meat of the pork trotters will not be very hard, and it is not very pickled, but at least it does not have the smell of pig. You must rely on the beer sauce to enhance the flavor. - 🍺Non-alcoholic beer €5.7 There are only two choices, very few, no lemon and no rye. - 📷2024/08/15

WURST SINFONIE Rostbratwurst, feine Bratwurst, Münchner Weißwurst und Currywurst in pikanter Haussoße mit Madras Currypulver, serviert mit Bratkartoffeln, Sauerkraut, zweierlei Senf und Ketchup Sausage variety with grilled sausage, fine pork sausage, white sausage and currywurst" with home-made curry sauce, sprinkled with madras curry powder, served with fried potatoes, sauerkraut, two kinds of mustard and ketchup 19,90 The sausage is very large and has a chewy texture. Sausage in tomato stew. A Junky traditional cuisine with lots of potatoes.

Good Bavarian restaurant, the portions are reasonable. Good selection of drinks, also on tap. Nice service even shortly before closing. Unfortunately not quite attentive that evening. International audience.

The tastiest place in The Square at Frankfurt Airport. Portions are very big but prices are quite reasonable. The place creates the feeling you are at a Biergarten in Bavaria (if you abstract yourselves from the fact you are in a covered space at airport:). Service is super so next time we are there again!

Pleasant evening with Bavarian food and very friendly and helpful staff... Typically Bavarian atmosphere... Unfortunately the food wasn't seasoned enough for us... Price/performance ratio is appropriate, as it's right at the airport...

too many mice around the restaurant

We had a one night stay over at the airport and went there with a group of 6 to have some dinner. First the service was horrible as we were sitting outside. But we moved inside due to the amount of people and the new guy was great. The food was very good

This restaurant is located inside the train terminal just across the airport in front of exit of terminal B. Just take the escalator beside REWE supermarket. It serves delicious German cuisine and a large variety of drinks including German beer. Be aware on Sundays as kitchen closes at 9 pm.

Pleasant service. I was able to enjoy my meal in a spacious space that made it hard to believe that I was inside a station or an airport.

I went in without any expectations given that it is located at a train station across from the airport. I was pleasantly surprised with my order, "Münchner Schweinsbraten" Roast pork in beer gravy with potato dumplings and sauerkraut. A lot of care went in the seasoning, not just for the gravy but also in the sauerkraut. Maybe because it was my first time trying sauerkraut in Germany and not the jarred imitations they sell in the US. The serving size was huge and more than enough for one. It's hard to see in the photo, but there were actually three pork medallions of decent size. It's definitely a great option if you have an overnight layover and don't feel like going all the way into the city for a hearty meal.

I ordered the “Paulaner Schnitzel “ and it wasn’t fresh nor tasty. Even the salad looks like from yesterday. When asked if everything was fine I expressed my dissatisfaction to the waitress. She reacted very professional and excuses herself on behalf of the restaurant and offered me immediately a coffee as compensation. I ordered a beer instead which wasn’t charged end the end. Overall very professional staff but with required improvement on their food service.

Insanely rude staff, asked about a table that said reserved but was not taken for about 45 after the sign said.Maybe a language barrier, but just asking about the table made the waiter throw a tantrum and say we would not be served. Awful service, we were just inquiring about the table so we could try and watch the Euro 2024 on the big screen nearby.

I had an extremely bad experience at this Paulaner. After being told we could sit anywhere we sat down at an outdoor table. There was a reserved sign on it for 18:45. It was 19:20 so we figured it was okay. A waiter came over and asked if we reserved the table. I said no and he said we couldn’t sit there. We said we were told we could sit anywhere and he said not there. We got up and found another table. I was hoping he wouldn’t be our waiter but he came over with menus. I asked him then about the time on the reservation . I was told he would hold it for a half hour, which was passed. He then started having a fit and said he would hold it for an hour. I asked for a different waiter and he said no and that I called him a liar. My family of 4 was denied service. Wow!

Awful customer service. Was told to sit anywhere when we got there and then were asked to move in not the nicest of ways. After that we simply inquired why we couldn’t sit at that table and were close to berated by a male waiter with brown hair and a shorter stockier stature. After he was done aggressively talking to us he said he would not serve us. Still a little confused about what happened because up until now we have experienced such good service at this chain. Not only was this experience embarrassing but also frustrating. If you get this waiter run for the hills! Safe to say we probably will not be revisiting this chain of restaurants :(. If you have the choice of restaurants I would not recommend this one.

The restaurant is located directly in the airport building and offers a great ambience. Here you can get delicious Bavarian food at fair prices. The service staff is quick and friendly. I have a clear recommendation!

Solid Bavarian cuisine at Squaire. The cheese spaetzle are super strong! Service is on point. Surprisingly good.

Nice place to try german food when you are at the airport between connection flights. You can try different kinds of german beer, bavarian cousine. The even have seasonal specialties like on my picture: asparagus. You can watch the landing airplanes through the glas ceiling. The air condition could be better. (Why I just gave 4 stars for atmosphere). Even if you are coming from the city you can park in the squaire park garage and have a small train ride along the highway (free).

Stayed overnight after 2 weeks in Norway and were looking for an authentic German meal before flying home. Yes it is a chain, but food was good, service excellent and prices reasonable for the airport. Nice seating in the outside atrium area. Located at the top of the escalators in The Square West building, above the long distance train station.

Really delicious food and very friendly service. We had Jägerschnitzel twice and Kaiserschmarren once + 2 beers. The price was perfectly fine at €60. The main course came after about 10 minutes and tasted very good. The side salad was also fresh and delicious. Kaiserschmarren really excellent, rarely eaten so well at an airport. To recommend!

Excellent beer and German dishes. The place is in a mall (The Squaire) close to Frankfurt International Airport, in the same area than the Train Station. The decor might not be the best, but the food and the service were excellent.

Before a trip to the USA lasting several weeks, eat a real German meal... The food was decent, but not outstanding either. The service is good, but the lack of staff is noticeable here too. The ambience is what a tourist would imagine a Bavarian restaurant to be like, surrounded by modern architecture. What wasn't so nice was that it was cozy and warm under the glass dome of the Squaire.

Great variety of beer. I especially pleasantly surprised with the Radner. Rather sweet beer , than the typical bitter IPA. The food of Roasted bratwurst with sauerkraut is also surprisingly exceeded my expectation. Will visit again when I’m visiting Frankfurt airport.

needed a place at the airport for lunch. polander is noted for their beer. I had the schnitzel and my husband had goulash. He really enjoyed his, but mine was so so.

Incredible Bavarian dishes (especially the Schweinshaxe ) great beer and atmosphere! It made me so happy to find a Bavarian biergarten in Frankfurt airport (hard to find if you get off a plane and look on gps but it’s by the long distance train station)! Good service and beer!!

Food was good. Beer was cold. Servers didn't care. Maybe 20% filled. We sat for 10 minutes and then went in to see if we could order. 3 servers were talking behond the bar. The server said I see you and will be there soon. It felt as if we had inconvenienced them to ask for a drink and food.

I particularly recommend the currywurst, preferably double. The salad alone is fresh and high quality. Bavarian atmosphere. Own beer menu. Been to the Paulaner twice in a row now because of various matters at the airport. Actually 5 stars, but I'll save the last one for myself. Airport prices, yes. But appropriate considering the quality. Recommendation!

I went right after getting off the airport and checking into the hotel. It's a beer restaurant and serves beer from southern Germany. It was very close to the airport and the Hilton hotel. The atmosphere is good, and there are terrace seats with ceilings, so you can feel the outside atmosphere without feeling cold. The atmosphere in the store was relaxing and comfortable. Also, even though I couldn't speak English or German, they patiently and patiently responded to me and helped me out. Like other German restaurants, there were no photos on the menu, but we got by by translating the menu from the images with Google Image Translate. The serving size was German-sized, so it was too much for an Asian person, but the taste was great and the beer went well. The portion was just right for 4 people to order 3 to share. Overall, it was a very nice and satisfying meal. I would like to stop by if I ever go to Frankfurt Airport again.

I myself have been there twice in the past month and on both occasions it was excellent. The last time I was there we had the Veggie Flatbread for starters and the vegan Pesto Gnocchi. Both were delicious and substantial. Very good service and value for money especially for an airport (Terminal 1, 5th floor) essentially.
