Perfect food, great service and an impressive ambience We were completely thrilled: the staff was not only competent, but also exceptionally friendly. The food was simply perfect and the beautiful ambience rounded off our visit. A particular highlight was the hospitality, which gave my husband the opportunity to pray in a space provided - one staff member even prayed with him. This personal moment made a deep impression on us. We will definitely come back when we are in Frankfurt!

Food was good as expected. Service had to be reminded again and again about coffee, tea, drinks and much more. Waiters were discussing among themselves. Chairs need to be reupholstered, the leather was torn. Eating with 18 people was the first time we were there and it wasn't OK for me as a host

A very pleasant restaurant. Food was very, very tasty. We got a table straight away, even without a reservation. So service is also at a high level. I can only recommend everyone to take a look.

Meat with arugula was good. The steak wasn't that good, we've had better. You get bread for free, without meze (dips), on our first visit there were a few olives with the bread. For the price you pay, you actually expect more. Personally, I didn't like the music playing in the restaurant that would fill your ears. The service is ok, the atmosphere is not really inviting. The store looks nicer from the outside than the interior.

I am really disappointed with my visit to Ya Medina and would like to share my experience. First of all, the food was an absolute disaster. It tasted like rubber, the quality was subpar and it was far too expensive for what was on offer. I was wondering how something like this could even be served. The service was also anything but satisfactory. The waiter was unfriendly and disrespectful - you didn't feel welcome at all as a guest. To make matters worse, he then pocketed tips without my consent. That's not possible and leaves an extremely bad impression. All in all, I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Bad food, exorbitant prices and disrespectful service - I definitely won't go here again.

So if you're going to a restaurant but don't have three dishes ready just before 11 in the middle of Frankfurt on a Saturday evening, you'd better open a snack bar + a long wait because the waitress smokes outside👍🏼

The food is not as you would imagine, rice was cooked a day ago. It would be good if the menu had pictures.

I warn everyone about this juice shop! We were changed twice and even once while eating The staff was very unfriendly and ignored us when we asked them about our wrong salad and it tasted completely disgusting and dry please do yourself a favor and don't go there no tip!!!

The restaurant actually looks quite nice, but unfortunately I have to report that we were moved twice (once while eating). I also ordered a çoban salatasi and got leftovers. The Beyti we ordered was dry despite the sauce. When I spoke nicely to the staff about my experience, I was ignored and disrespected. It's a shame actually :(

It was my first time there, unfortunately I have to say that the price/performance ratio wasn't right (too expensive) I ordered iskender, unfortunately it didn't taste good at all, it has nothing to do with the originals, neither in terms of appearance nor taste, my husband ordered lokum, also in terms of taste and preparation. The meze they brought us wasn't really fulfilling, 6 olives and herb quark, the bread was warm and very good. The store looks nice, the service is nice, but that's it. Definitely too expensive for the price and eat as described. Unfortunately no recommendation.

I invited my entire staff here, there were 13 of us and unfortunately no one was really happy with their food, neither the chicken nor the meat was good. For me, unfortunately FLOP of the year. Ordered Cola Zero, got Cola Zero with a slice of lemon. No fresh bread. Ordered Medina grill plate. Portion much too small. Meat was inedible, I had to chew it for maybe 2 days, and I couldn't eat it either. Burnt, dry and tough. Why are they advertising steaks here? A table opposite has given back its rump steak. Loud boss who yells at/demands his employees to work. Some older guests were frightened, no go. As an apology I was offered a cup of tea and a portion of baklava, which I politely declined. Unfortunately, over €30 for a grill plate and so many things wrong is no longer a coincidence for me. Will avoid this store and would not recommend it. Although potatoes were delicious, I still say NO Medina.

Service was very bad. We had to wait 20 minutes just to get the menu. To be fair, the waiter apologized for this. Others got bread and meze, we didn't. After an hour the food arrived and it was only lukewarm. Cutlery and spice mills were also forgotten and we had to order them again. We also had to go to the cash register to pay because the waiters didn't see us. The man at the checkout makes a very unpleasant impression. We weren't even asked if everything was okay. Two employees also argued very loudly in the open kitchen, where a lady had to intervene. Many of my friends want to try the shop in Frankfurt, but unfortunately I will have to advise everyone against it.

I expected more but unfortunately I wasn't 100% convinced because the rump steak arrived far too dry even though I ordered it medium rare. The side dishes were ok. The price is super high. Filet mignon was tender though! The side dishes included coleslaw, but it was strangely seasoned and didn't taste good at all.

ABSOLUTE FLOP!!!It's been a long time since I've been so disappointed in a supposedly steakhouse as in this institution. Starter at least 3 days old from dry age, no trace of them, not even able to serve fresh bread, I can't list a few more things, I'm still so upset List at least 10 negative things Meat at the cheapest level. I was out again within 30 minutes. The whole family was unhappy. This is anything but fine dining. Of course I also told the staff that they would like dessert on the house 😁😅 NO THANK YOU!!!

A halal Turkish restaurant with delicious food that is worth a visit, but its prices are a little expensive

Nice restaurant, has large indoor and outdoor seating, suitable for families and friends. We had lentil soup and it was very delicious. The hummus and steak were very average.

I didn't like the food one bit. Grill plate meat very dry, I didn't eat 80% of the food. “Köfte” where so thick was inedible. At the end, no one even asked if something was wrong! Overpriced for this quality.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was a disappointment, both in terms of service and food quality. After we were originally served very well at the Medina Steak House, the waiter recommended that we visit this restaurant on the Zeil due to the lamb being sold out. Once there, however, the experience started negatively. We were neither greeted nor shown to a seat - we had to sit down ourselves and we only received the menu when we asked. The waiter, who briefly wiped the table, completely ignored us. When we ordered two grill plates, my father asked for bread, which the waiter was obviously reluctant to oblige. At first he even brought us the wrong bread and only corrected the mistake after we complained. The quality of the food was also unsatisfactory. The meat on the grill was dry and not very tasty. With a disappointing meal, at least the service should have been convincing, but here too there was disinterest and unfriendliness. Based on this overall experience, I will not visit this restaurant again.

Called at 8:30 pm Reserved a table for 9 pm when we reached and sat down 90% of the menu was not available. Only rump steak and Iskender available. Iskender was good ( not authentic but overall good) Rump steak was well seasons but very hard and not cooked properly. Ordered medium well it came medium rare and still was very hard to cut. Rating 5 knives

Service and ambience were fine. I had the burger which was unfortunately disappointing, it wasn't anything special, it tasted like it was made at home and it wasn't worth it for the price. My companion had a mixed grill plate that only had three types of meat because lamb was sold out. The taste is really not that special and there is too much garlic in the kofta. Hype doesn't live up to it, wouldn't try it again.

We were there yesterday. First we got our warm drinks in bottles and were told there were no glasses. Then the drinks were at least exchanged for cold ones. After another waiter came with a glass for other guests, we brought this up. Then we got our glasses. We had to wait 1 hour 30 minutes for our food and were about to leave. After the complaint it came after 5 minutes. The waiter was nice and accommodating. The food was very good. Nevertheless, it was just too warm in there and everything was very tiring. It doesn't have to be anymore.

Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for our food yesterday even though there wasn't much going on. The staff was very unfriendly towards us. That's why I can't give more stars.

Have never been to such a terrible restaurant!!!!! 1. Lahmacun smelled like rotten meat 2. Pizza looked like ready-made pizza and tasted like nothing 3. Service was at zero, we had to wait 15 minutes to get the tickets, place an order, even though there were hardly any other guests there. It took 30 minutes until we got our 2 pizzas and 2 lahmacuns!!! 4. Our waiter put our change in the salad bowl and said it was rubbish. A cheeky thing 5. We came to eat something else, but that exact dish wasn't available. We were only told this when the waiter wanted to take the order

Really great restaurant with a nice ambience, comfortable chairs and super nice staff. We had the mix grill platter and the falafel burger and were completely thrilled. High-quality cutlery is served in a leather box as well as a lovingly crafted, high-quality menu.

A steakhouse in Frankfurt. The appetizers were the best part of the evening. Not really my taste for the ambience and the steaks were OK, good average. You get full. My wife's chicken was good, my beef tenderloin was OK. But there are better steakhouses in Frankfurt.

The food is such a poor value for money. Way too overpriced for average or below average taste. We will never eat here again in the future. Several items on the menu were not available. But we were only told this after we had looked through the menu for about 10 minutes and wanted to order. Porterhouse steak for €99 is just ridiculous. Tastes like dry, rubbery flesh. I wouldn't spend €10 on that. You don't even get decent side dishes like salad. For €100 I'd rather go to a Turkish or Arabic restaurant and get decent grilled platters with real side dishes. The store is ruining itself with its pricing policy and measly portions...

Unfortunately I had to withdraw my good rating from over a year ago. The quality is now not commensurate with the high price. Half the menu is not available. Apparently it's a systematic problem because many people have the same experience. Only after you have taken the time to choose the dish are you made aware of the many sold-out dishes. Carpaccio, filet mignon, lamb skewer sold out. We were offered the porterhouse steak as an alternative. It was very dry and rubbery on the inside. The smaller waiter tried very hard to please us. That was one of the few positive points. Never again..

Was recently in Frankfurt and went to this restaurant. We went on a Sunday night. The door greeter said CASH ONLY. There was a handwritten sign on the door that said CASH ONLY. There was no mention of any issues with a credit card machine or any other problems. They kept saying cash only. It was raining but we walked back a half hour to our hotel to pick up cash ( don’t trust the local ATMs since it’s a shady area at nighttime ). The food was good and my son wanted to try the burger. So we decided to visit again. This time miraculously they were accepting credit cards. At the end of our meal we got a handwritten receipt for the total. I think they take cash only on weekends. And credit on weekdays. Just a warning to fellow diners. The food is good quality but very very pricey. The burger was 36 euros. Overall not pleased with the customer service. Not sure if it is a Frankfurt thing to take cash only at time and credit at times. Diner be aware.

First of all we wanted to order ottoman tomahowk steak 1.2 kg for €114.00 and share it between three people. The waiter said that there is no Tomahowk steak. We then ordered Medina Steak Mix Platter. Since there was no price on the menu, I specifically asked the waiter how much the platter cost per person. He said the platter costs €35/person. We then ordered the platter for 3 people. When the food came I asked him how much steak weight it was approximately. He said it was about 1.6kg of meat. When we finished eating and wanted to pay the bill, the bill said €225 for this mix platter. I ask the waiter why the price is so high. The agreement was 35€/person and not 75€/person. He couldn't explain to me how the price came about. How can the mix platter of 1.6kg cost €225 when the tomahawk steak 1.2kg costs €114? I didn't want to cause a ruckus in the restaurant. We paid the bill and left. The next day I had diarrhea, stomach pain, fever, chills. The day after I wrote a complaint to YA'Medina Steakhouse. A Mr. Yilmaz replied to me and gave me feedback that I would get the money refunded. After repeated inquiries, I still haven't received the money back after 3 weeks. I am very disappointed about this incident. I feel extremely betrayed and robbed. I took all the photos and will post the incident on social media to warn people about it. A real shame...

Were in the back yard of the restaurant and was insulted by a "former" employee (Mohamad). We are “not real” Muslims because we show our feet (put on slippers) and defile the religion. You couldn't clarify it with the boss or with the employees. We were told a lot more that we shouldn't hear. Just disrespectful!

We waited too long for the food. Ordered 2 premium burgers, one without cheese. But it still came with cheese. We didn't want to be so picky and scraped the cheese ourselves. Still, the only thing premium about the premium burger was the raw and cold meat inside. I felt really sick after eating it. I'm a fan of medium patties, but not a fan of raw meat. Could have bitten into a cow that was still alive. The burger buns were also simple, packaged buns from the supermarket. The only thing edible were the fries. The staff was still nice, but unfortunately this is not a reason to visit this restaurant again. I can't recommend it any further. First of all, there was no welcome greeting. The service was quite friendly. You can't complain about the food, the meat tastes great. However, the price-performance ratio, especially with the Karisik izgara, is fatal. Almost €30 without drinks etc. for a meal that is just about the size of a kebab box + salad and rice. Otherwise, as mentioned, it's fine. It must be mentioned that this is only “Karisik-Izgara”. + no card payment possible! LG

My visit to the Medina Restaurant in Frankfurt was mixed. Unfortunately, the BBQ chicken burger I ordered did not meet my expectations. The food was not as well prepared as I had hoped and the taste left a lot to be desired. However, the staff was very nice and attentive. They tried to make my stay as pleasant as possible and I am grateful for that. Overall, my visit to Medina Restaurant was an average experience. The food didn't convince me, but the friendly staff made the visit a little better.

Tried the Falafel burger, lentil soap and the salad. The food is so tasty and yummy! And the staff are good and friendly. They have many Halal food as well, the streaks looks so good. Will definitely go there again.
