We were in this restaurant for the first time yesterday. We were greeted very friendly and immediately felt welcome. My husband chose the duck with 8 gems and I chose the fish with sweet and sour sauce. Both dishes tasted delicious and were very well seasoned. All in all, a rock-solid meal. We liked it a lot. Fair price-performance ratio is also worth mentioning. We'll try the buffet on our next visit. Reservation is recommended. Buffet only on Fridays and Saturday evenings, no á la carte on these evenings. Price 18.90 p.p. Have now tested the buffet. The best Asian buffet in the area. We won't go to anyone else! It is constantly refilled, so it is always hot and crispy. Quality definitely counts here. In our opinion, there is something for everyone.

The food was freshly prepared, but the quality wasn't particularly good. The duck was fatty and gristly, the pork was way too spicy. Little choice of food.

Delicious Chinese restaurant. Very nice staff. We were greeted with plum wine and a scoop of ice cream on the house for dessert. Things like that don't happen that often anymore. And it was delicious too. Hats off! Gladly again.

We went to Malente to eat at the "Goldener Drachen" without any particular expectations. When we entered the restaurant, we first noticed that it was busy and everything seemed tidy. I would consider the ambience to be more “simple”. The young employee greeted us very friendly and immediately had a table for two. Looking at the menu we quickly found what we were looking for. Once sweet and sour duck, once duck with morels. As a starter, wonton soup and baked wontons. The starter was well prepared, which can quickly go wrong, especially with baked wontons, if they stay in the hot fat for too long. These were spot on. After a reasonable wait, our ducks arrived. Even the first look at the dishes only suggested the best. Everything looked very tasteful. The culinary delight itself was even greater. The meat was perfect and not a bit too dry or overcooked. The vegetable and mushroom garnish was exactly what you would want. We haven't eaten at a Chinese restaurant in a long time. That certainly wasn't our only visit to the "Golden Dragon". And we were served extremely nicely!! Since I rarely take photos of food, I ask you to trust me even without them :-)

Very friendly service and food at good prices. The lunch menu is a special recommendation. The starters were a large portion and the desserts were also generous and very tasty. A very good choice in Malente.

Actually 5 stars… Update 06/21/24 A few days ago I was there again to pick up a takeaway order. We always had very nice evenings at the buffet, which was always very good in terms of quality and price! We came from near Lübeck specifically for this purpose. Unfortunately, I was really a bit disappointed with my last meal there. The quality and taste of my order was no longer what I was used to. I also found the portion size (chicken with 8 treasures sauce and rice) for €16.50 (with packaging) to be quite small. A bit disappointing. Update: after I've been there several times and also ordered something to take away, I was very satisfied again. That's why they want five stars again!

We come from Lübeck especially to enjoy this delicious food. And it's always worth it! The duck or chicken a la China tastes exceptional, the wontons are great, and the baked chicken with spicy sauce is simply a culinary delight. Here you can still get the now rare plum wine as an aperitif and even a small surprise dessert as a dessert. The innkeeper is a very nice person and his mother cooks herself, as I noticed. The Saturday buffet is also very good and is always freshly refilled. The only thing I have to complain about is that you can't order a la carte that day. That's a bit of a shame because not everyone likes buffets. But otherwise 6 out of five stars😉

I think the interior design could be changed a bit, so it has a hall character. Otherwise everything fits.

What delicious food, great service, extremely friendly and simply beautiful! It's a great place to spend an evening and I'll definitely try the lunch menu! Only the dusty containers at the buffet (there was no buffet) were unsightly and it echoed very loudly.

Gestern war ich mit einer Freundin dort zum Mittagstisch. Wir hatten Ente und Huhn nach Chinaart....es war einfach köstlich und sehr schön angerichtet.

Das Essen und die Bedienungen waren sehr gut! Parken konnten wir abends direkt am Restaurant. Sollte ich nochmal in der Nähe sein, komme ich wieder!

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung. Sehr gute Qualität zu fairen Preisen. Das Entenfleisch ist exzellent. Mittagstisch ist wirklich fair und selten qualitativ gestaltet.

Wir besuchen sehr gerne dieses Restaurant. Das Essen und der Service lässt keine Wünsche offen. Bis zum nächsten Mal.

Waren zum Buffet essen dort, ein kleiner Laden, nette Besitzer, etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ein überschaubares Buffet mit nicht allzu großer Auswahl. Speisen waren sehr lecker. Oft dauerte es länger, bis Speisen nachgefüllt wurden, da der Besucheransturm zu groß war.

Ich bin seit bald 20 Jahren Gast beim Goldendrachen, die ganze Familie ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Essen hat nie enttäuscht.

Reservieren ist hier auf alle notwendig. Freitag und Samstag gibt es leckeres Buffet. Parken ist etwas schwierig

Ich muss ehrlich gestehen, dass ich noch nie so lange auf mein Essen warten musste. Aber ich bin sowas von begeistert, jede Minute warten hat sich gelohnt. So frisch, und so exakt auf den Punkt zubereitet, dass habe ich noch nirgends anders erlebt. Der mega Hammer, hier muss man unbedingt gegessen haben.

Personal, scheint nicht aus der Gastro zu sein. Nach 45 min gabs erst Getränke, Essen kam dementsprechend noch später (über 1 Std Wartezeit für Vorspeisen). Essen war lecker, allerdings war das Besteck und die Gläser überhaupt nicht gut gereinigt, auf einem Glas war noch Lippenstift von einer anderen Person zuvor :-( Löffel und Gabel waren teilweise noch verdreckt und sahen benutzt aus. Nach Reklamation nicht mal ein Sorry!? NoGo!!! Auf Hygiene sollte immer geachtet werden! Personen von 1-2 wurden schneller bedient obwohl später gekommen sind... In den Räumlichkeiten war es sehr warm bis schwül (wohl Wetter bedingt) Klimaanlage fehlanzeige. Buffet wird erst ab 18 Uhr angeboten. A La Cart Preise ok. Mittagstisch Angebotspreise nicht Fair, vor allem für solch einen Sevice. Fazit, erneuter Besuch wird nicht stattfinden...Aufgrund der schlechten Hygiene nicht empfehlenswert. Der Koch scheint gut zu sein, essen war lecker.

seit mittlerweile 12 jahren gehen wir regelmässig bei aufenthalt in malente dort essen . etliche male - und das konstant gut . die speisekarte ist reichhaltig , das restaurant ist mittags und abennds geöffnet . hier kann man für angemessene nicht überteuerte preise gut - sehr gut essen ! es gibt auch vegetarisches - gemüse - tofu - gerichte und neben ente , hähnchen , rind und fisch auch pute ! lecker ! zu empfehlen !

Ehrliche Asia-Küche mit gutem Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis und freundlich bemühtem Service. Der Junior in den Fußstapfen seiner Eltern,- ehemals im Bahnhof. Sowohl Portionen der Tagesmenüs als auch der regulären Karte lassen kaum jemanden hungrig gehen... B Weiter so...und immer wieder gerne! Besonders die Entenbrust-Gerichte unter der Woche als auch das Buffet ab Sonn-und Feiertagenn führen und immer wieder hin.....🙏🍀👍

Essen telefonisch bestellt und abgeholt. Hat zwar noch einen Moment gedauert, aber das Essen,alle drei Gerichte sehr lecker. Heiß,knackiges Gemüse,gute Option und geschmacklich echt gut. Danke und bis zum nächsten mal...👍

Preis/Leistung stimmt. Essen war nur nicht meins. Schon bessere gebratene Nudeln gegessen. Ist ja aber immer Geschmackssache.

Freundliche und sehr aufmerksame Betreiberfamilie. Tolles und trotzdem bezahlbares Buffet. Man fühlt sich hier Willkommen. Das Mitnahmeessen ist ebenfalls reichlich und zu empfehlen

Wir hatten das Buffet. Es war qualitativ ok, aber nicht besonders gut. Das Enten- und Hühnerfleisch waren sehr zart. Ansonsten alles sehr mild gewürzt ohne individuellen Touch - nichts mit chinesischem Original-Geschmack dabei. Das frittierte Brot war ganz gut. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich, die Preise moderat: 16 EUR für das Buffet. Ok, wenn man nur satt werden möchte und keine hohen Ansprüche hat.
