We'll definitely be back! It was so delicious and everything was fresh! The staff/waiter was friendly and even asked if we liked the food. Thank you for everything.

We stopped spontaneously on the way back. We were absolutely thrilled; the service was very friendly and pleasant. The food was fantastic; we haven't had such a good meal in a long time. The quality, taste, and value for money were top-notch. We highly recommend it.

The ambiance was okay, but it could have been better. The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and freshly prepared, so it took a while. We had pan-fried fish and Balkan-style schnitzel. Both were delicious. Unfortunately, they only serve two schnitzels, but sauce is only available for one. Extra sauce costs an extra €3.50. A shame, but 🤷‍♀️

We spontaneously stopped by for lunch. The super-delicious fried fish, boiled potatoes instead of potato salad were no problem, and the more than sharp-witted waiter delighted us. The food was super fresh and hot. The ambiance loses a point, as we were seated right next to the kitchen, and the smell of cooking and the napkins, due to the waiter's swing, wafted through the swinging kitchen door. Unfortunately, there was no window that could be opened. It was my first time there and certainly won't be the last.

Leckeres Essen zu angemessenen Preisen . Ambiente könnte gemütlicher sein , aber es ist ok. Auch wenn es auf den ersten Eindruck nicht so gemütlich und ansprechend wirkt ,ist das Essen letztendlich überzeugend .

Friendly staff, delicious food, slightly rustic atmosphere

Wir waren zu viert zum Abendessen und haben aus der Karte vier verschiedene Gerichte ausgesucht. Jedes einzelne Essen war hervorragend, sowohl von der Qualität der Zutaten als auch von dem Geschmack. Der Service war zurückhaltend, aber gleichzeitig sehr freundlich und präsent. Wir waren vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis begeistert und kommen sicher wieder.

Birthday dinner with a total of ten people on a Sunday lunchtime. Direct hit! Very nice, courteous innkeeper. Short wait until all drinks were served. Normal waiting time until everyone (!) has been served their hot, freshly prepared meal - a la card. It tasted excellent, among other things. Grilled plates, chicken, and everyone was full and happy. We'll be back!!!

I was there last night and unfortunately I have to say it was absolutely nothing. I had previously seen the menu online - very meat-heavy and small, but I found a dish with 2 schnitzels, 2 fried eggs and fried potatoes... wonderful, fried eggs with fried potatoes, my favorite dish... when I was there and said that I would like to have this, the not-so-nice gentleman said that wouldn't work... I said, 'but here... you just have to leave out the schnitzel...' No, that wouldn't work... Wow... that's really inflexible... Of course I could have returned the two schnitzels on the plate, but throwing food away isn't my thing... So I had little other choice and in an emergency I ordered herring with fried potatoes... hmm, what can I say... there was bacon in the fried potatoes and that doesn't go well with herring at all... that's also noted on the menu! I have a strong suspicion that this is a large bag of gastro fried potatoes that are already peeled and topped with bacon... off to the pan, that's it... I was annoyed afterwards that I still gave a tip... because you only give it if the service was great, but it wasn't... I absolutely can't recommend the shop and I will never go there again

We spontaneously came here for dinner and the menu was so delicious to read that we changed our minds several times. Finally it was the grill plate with rump steak, chicken breast, pork medallion and fries, with onions and mushrooms And for me a colorful salad. Because we had read so much about the fried potatoes, of course they had to be... We both shared dishes and side dishes and we can BOTH say it was all very, very tasty! For dessert we shared the Swedish cup with bourbon vanilla ice cream, applesauce, eggnog and cream. This was in no way inferior in taste to our main courses! It was extremely well attended and a reservation seems to make a lot of sense here, we were very lucky! The herbal liqueur No.1 also tasted good! We'd love to come back!

Super Essen, oberlecker, immer und bei allen Gerichten. Toll das es noch deutsche Küche in Malente / Eutin gibt ! Die Preise passen auch. Sehr freundlich und ruhig. Wir vier gehören mittlerweile zu den Stammgäste.

Fantastic food. We got a table for the same day and were very satisfied with the service and the speed of serving. But the quality of the food in particular is top notch. Fresh ingredients, well prepared and seasoned. The salad was crispy. We were very satisfied and would like to come again.

We have known the restaurant for a long time and have been there a few times. Today we went to dinner with the family. We can only recommend this cozy restaurant. Service, price and food are simply great. We can only recommend it.

The schnitzels are very tasty. Personally, I was missing some greens to decorate my plate. Service was great, considering the employee was alone in the restaurant.

In my opinion, unfriendly service. Two older women came in front of us and were immediately shouted at when they were looking for a suitable table. The information was meant for you and us: all tables were occupied. When I commented to everyone that there were still empty tables without a reservation sign, I was cheekily replied that the tables remained empty. I asked to be a little more friendly, the waitress said: We are understaffed. He saw that my husband has a disability. Was sent away despite the many empty tables.

Access is via stairs, dining is indoors and outdoors. The prices are a little higher but the taste is good. Cash and card payments are possible

***** The Rumerküche restaurant completely impressed us with its fish dishes! The hake with mustard sauce was a poem - tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned, while the mustard sauce gave the dish a wonderfully spicy touch. The Hamburg panfish, prepared with three different types of fish, was also an absolute highlight: crispy fried, excellently seasoned and a real taste explosion. Both dishes were not only a culinary delight, but also visually appealing. A visit to the Rumor Mill is a must for every fish lover!

Ein sehr angenehmes, ruhiges Restaurant in dem man entspannt ein sehr leckeres Essen genießen kann. Wir waren am ersten Tag unseres Urlaubs da und kamen innerhalb von 10 Tagen noch zweimal vorbei. Egal ob Grillplatte, Hamburger Pannfisch oder Salat mit Hähnchenbrust, alles ein Hochgenuß. Zum Nachtisch "mußten" wir jedesmal das unwiderstehliche Schokotörtchen und dazu einen Haselnuß Brand wählen. Dazu freundlicher Service - perfekt!

A very pleasant, quiet restaurant where you can relax and enjoy a delicious meal. We were there on the first day of our vacation and came back twice more within 10 days. Whether it's a grill platter, hamburger panfish or a salad with chicken breast, everything is a real treat. For dessert we always "had" to choose the irresistible chocolate cake and a hazelnut brandy. Plus friendly service - perfect!

Vi fik klassisk tysk mad. En schnitzel hver. Det var ok, men heller ikke mere. Tilbehøret var uinspirerende og kedeligt. Vi tænkte egentlig, at vi kunne have lavet det bedre selv. Stedet var bedre, da vi spiste der for nogle år siden.

Nice welcome, even though I was traveling alone. I was allowed to sit at a table for four. As a Baden resident you are happy when there is Baden wine. I had hake fillet with parsley potatoes, and Dijon sauce and salad. The food was wonderful. Big compliments to the kitchen. Maybe it will work and I'll come by again.

We came here on a recommendation and can only recommend it. Ambience, food and drinks very good, service nice and friendly, prices quite moderate for a health resort.

Luckily yesterday, even without a reservation, I got a spot shortly after 5:30 p.m. We had pan fish with fried potatoes and mustard sauce of excellent quality!! Top price-performance ratio! Super friendly service by the owner. Unfortunately the last day of our Malente stay - but we will definitely be back! Highly Recommended !

Food was very tasty and homemade. The portions were very good and the prices were really reasonable. The friendliness of operation can still be optimized. If the first restaurants hadn't been full, we honestly would have left after the "welcome". At some tables the chairs were leaned against the table. Due to a lack of staff, you shouldn't sit there, which could have been said more nicely. There are sun and shade spots on the terrace.

Visited the "rumor mill" in Malente for the first time today...it's not a rumor, everything fits together here. Nice service, courteous boss. The food...very tasty, large portions. We had the “Jägerart” schnitzel with fried potatoes and cucumber salad. The meat is tender, well breaded, fried in a pan. The fried potatoes and salad were also so well prepared. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. If you want to eat well in Malente, you should definitely stop by here.

Reception was very unfriendly despite reservations. Food was served extremely quickly. We weren't in the restaurant for an hour. When the waiter asked if the food was okay and we answered that it was okay, the response was to shake our heads. The waiter didn't seem friendly anymore after that

When entering the restaurant, the waiter was unfriendly, no greeting, just a table assignment. No friendly greeting, quick processing, no nice atmosphere. Chicken tasted like it was frozen, pasta was topped with far too much pesto. When the cellar asked whether it tasted good, I answered honestly with a yes, and pointed out to him that the chicken didn't taste like it had been thawed. His reaction was to shake his head and say, “I’ll accept that.” Wine spritzer was very, very thin and tasted more like water. After the criticism, the waiter seemed very unfriendly! Not recommendable!

The food, the wine, the dessert, the service, in short: great! The waiter in particular was extremely pleasant. Very quick without rushing, very friendly without being slimy, very attentive without being intrusive. The only thing that doesn't have to be the cream from the can 😇. We visited the restaurant on March 10, 2024 at around 5:30 p.m. Kudos to the waiter and thank you for the kilo of apple rings😉🫣

Matjes of the best quality. I say this as an angler and an absolute fish connoisseur. Also the homemade sauce, onions, gherkins and small apple slices in it. Perfect !

Kale is an absolute superior! Were there with two people one evening around 7 p.m. in December 2022. It was probably just before closing time. Only one other table was still occupied. Nevertheless, we received a very friendly welcome. After a quick inquiry in the kitchen, we were able to order two more dishes. So twice kale. Delicious. Best kale in a long time! Great fried potatoes! Big portion! Tip top - perfect. The ambience is somewhat reminiscent of a seventies country inn. Were there again at the beginning of 2024 with four people. And the kale was a poem again. Kassler absolutely perfect, kale, potatoes too. The cabbage sausage is also exactly as it should be. Pure! Family business. The man of the house serves, the woman cooks. Schnitzel also looked excellent. Top service, top food! We'll be happy to come back more often from now on! 👍

Heute Kohlroulade. So lecker, das Hack in der Roulade war sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Der Preis für den Mittagstisch war super. Ist absolut zu empfehlen, aber um 12.15 war fast jeder Tisch bereits besetzt.

Heute Abend hatten wir einen schönen Abend in der Gerüchteküche. Unsere Fischgerichte waren sehr lecker. Der Service wie immer sehr freundlich!! Wir kommen gerne wieder, dafür verdiente 5 Sterne!

Solides gut bürgerliches Restaurant. Schnitzel waren okay, etwas wenig Sauce und vor allem auch Sauce auf dem Schnitzel, so dass die Panade aufweicht. Dessert echt lecker. Auch alles andere nichts Besonderes, halt so, wie man es beim Landgasthof erwarten würde. Lokal war voll ausgebucht, dennoch kam das Essen recht zügig. Der Service war top, endlich mal wieder eine gute Bedienung mit gutem Ton. Das hat sehr gefallen!

Die ganze Familie war sehr zufrieden. Für uns alle waren die Portionen genau richtig. Schön angerichtete Teller mit Fleisch drauf, Beilagen in kleinen Schüsseln und alles war super lecker! Sehr zu empfehlen!!

Übersichtliche Speisekarte, was ausdrücklich positiv zu bemerken ist. Kurze Wartezeit aufs Essen. Diskrete, nette Bedienung. Das von uns bestellte Fischgericht war sehr lecker u von Menge u Geschmack auf den Punkt perfekt. Schlichtes, sauberes Lokal. Überschaubares Ambiente. Parkplätze entlang der Straße vorhanden. Ruhige Hunde sind willkommen. Gerne wieder. :-)

Wir waren heute das erste mal in diesen wunderschönen Restaurant essen und waren so überrascht von der Qualität.

Habe dort ein sehr gutes " Holsteiner " Schnitzel gegessen, war echt gut.

Wie saßen draußen und nach tagelang Regen, sah es dort nicht so gut aus! Aber nichts desto trotz, hatten wir eine gemütliche Zeit. Das Essen war hervorragend, frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Gerne wieder!

Kurzfristig dort zum Essen gewesen, kurz vorher angerufen ob Platz für uns ist was bejaht wurde. Bedingung und Essen waren sehr gut. Preise passen auch. Man kann auf der Terrasse oder in der Gaststätte gemütlich sitzen. Essen wird frisch zubereitet.

Da ich ein bisschen ausgehungert war, freute ich mich auf eine schöne Portion Pannfisch und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Die Bedienung war, obwohl er - glaube ich - den Laden alleine schmiss, äußerst freundlich und auf Zack. Das Ambiente draußen könnte man noch etwas aufhübschen, tat meinem Besuch aber keinen Abbruch. Gerne wieder 👍

Die Karte ist überschaubar. Aber manchmal ist weniger mehr und das trifft hier zu. Der Service war freundlich und sehr zügig. Die Speisen waren frisch zubereitet und kamen trotzdem recht schnell auf den Tisch. Mein absolutes Highlight war die selbstgemachte (!) Remoulade. Fazit: Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir haben dort Balkanschnitzel und Hähnchenbrust mit Ananas und Käse überbacken gegessen. Die Portionen sind reichlich und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend. Wenn wir in der Gegend sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Ein Steakhouse mit nur einem Rumpsteak und einem Steaktopf wirkt erstmal komisch. Aber alles war auf den Punkt gebraten in jeder Form . Auch der Fisch genial zubereitet. Absolut keine Beanstandung. Sehr zu empfehlen Vielen Dank
