Villa C (Colonial) am See in Malente

Full marks…..! That says it all! Always our go-to place when we are in Malente because everything is right. The food was delicious and also regional, the service was perfect and the atmosphere was lovely and cozy. You don’t even want to get up 😜…. These are actually the basic requirements for an evening in the restaurant, but unfortunately they are becoming increasingly rare! That's why we keep coming back, even though we already know the menu 'by heart' 😜!!!! Doesn't matter…

Super nice place to eat, the food was good and the service was top notch. My rump steak melted in my mouth.

Everything is just right in this restaurant! The service is great, very courteous and attentive! Dogs are welcome. The food was always excellent and the atmosphere is super cozy and nice. You can't complain about the prices, they are completely reasonable. We are already looking forward to our next visit, we feel very comfortable with you! Many thanks to the employees!!! You're doing a great job!

Very nice restaurant! Fast, helpful service staff. We've eaten there 6 times within a short period of time. It is a true culinary experience. The duck breast with Brussels sprouts, red cabbage, potato gratin and super delicious sauce is a poem. I ordered from the special menu as well as the venison goulash, which my husband also ordered a second time. The roast beef with fried potatoes and salad is also recommended. There are well-cut slices and a sufficient portion of fried potatoes. They are crispy, freshly fried. Not chopped up. All highly recommended! Dessert was also delicious 😋 Thanks for the overall package and the taste experience. The Black Forest cake and the nut cake are a poem! I fell in love with the ambience of the restaurant and the menu! Unfortunately my stay in Malente is coming to an end soon, but I think we will come back again sometime.

We were there for cake and dinner on New Year's Eve and the day later. Very attentive and nice staff, a varied menu, the dishes were absolutely delicious and the homemade cakes are amazing 🔨. We would love to come back...

We were there spontaneously at lunchtime today. It is very cozy/well-kept and definitely a highlight to sit outside by the lake in summer. Even the work clothes match the ambience. One can only congratulate the food/the chef and the team. From the duck with cranberries to the dessert, it was a poem. Prepared and served with a lot of love. A restaurant you should definitely visit in Malente. The price-performance ratio is absolutely justified and I don't think it's too expensive either. Friendliness and somehow the feeling that you have known each other for a long time is noticeable. We'll be back next summer. The good looking cakes are a must try. 😀

Ever time we visit family in Eutin, we visit Villa Colonial. The food is excellent, the desserts are outstanding and the service is prompt and courteous. We highly recommend this restaurant

Everything's pretty OK. High quality of stay with a good view. Disabled toilet on the ground floor. Also located right near the train station.

Were there today with 2 adults and 2 children. I had a delicious starter with a small portion of mushroom pan, super tasty and then had the deer burger, also super tasty 😋. Would recommend the restaurant again and again, nice service and delicious food.

Here I enjoyed by far the best steak of my life!!! "Beef fillet steak under a herb crust" - every single bite is a poem and with the last piece there is a feeling of melancholy and farewell that everything has to come to an end... unfortunately!

Pizza and burgers Pretty good - especially the sweet potato fries. Great cake buffet and delicious Kaffir specialties.

Were here for the second time today and it was great again. The ambience is a dream...the sunset over the Dieksee and excellent food and service. We thought it was great that the season ticket (despite the same autumn season) had something new in it, which I ordered straight away. The pumpkin soup was also modified and just as delicious. For the main course we had hake and venison goulash, both great! So we'd love to come back! Sorry, the pictures aren't great, my Habdy is old😂

We celebrated our wedding at Villa Colonial and everyone was thrilled! There were almost 50 of us and we had a wonderful, quiet area at the top of the restaurant where we were completely undisturbed, even though the restaurant was still running at the same time. The cakes were simply excellent and the buffet left nothing to be desired. It was super tasty and everyone enjoyed it. The service was excellent. After dinner we moved to the Villa Down Under - a bar where you can celebrate. The change of location was great because it loosened up the company even more and no one just sat in their place all day. It was a wonderful day and we would like to thank the Villa team from the bottom of our hearts for their commitment!! We would celebrate here again at any time and can wholeheartedly recommend the villa!

Very great location with a very good selection of delicious cakes, unfortunately the outdoor terrace is often overcrowded and very difficult to reach for people with walking difficulties, the existing ramp needs to be reworked in terms of accessibility otherwise you can only get up here as a wheelchair artist, 😉

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the vegan potato dish. Rarely have such a loveless vegan dish been served.

We spontaneously went there for dinner with three people, two adults and a child. In addition to drinks, we also ate very well and had a lot of fun on the sun terrace. Huge praise goes to the outstanding service from the employees. With a lot of friendliness and attentiveness, every wish was always fulfilled and everyone was completely satisfied. The food was also world class and tasted excellent. We ordered the burger, a bowl with steak strips and a children's meal with fish. We would love to come back and are really looking forward to it. We can therefore recommend the restaurant to everyone.

Located at the ferry pier. Large outdoor terrace. Very friendly service and homemade cakes as well as burgers or zander with pumpkin spaghetti and shrimps were very tasty. From there you can also get to the Kellersee etc.

Great location right on the Dieksee. Well-kept furnishings with a spacious terrace. Service very friendly and attentive. Our food (cutter plaice / redfish fillet / raspberry sorbet) was well prepared. The portions are sufficient for “normal eaters”. A successful stay.

Went there spontaneously last night and despite the hut being full we still got a table for two. Many thanks to the very nice employee. You rarely find something like that today. The food was great. Everything was wonderful.

Unfortunately, I had to experience that this restaurant itself doesn't know what's in the ready-made food they buy. So the crab soup is only “decorated” with the addition of icing. Since not everyone knows about their unknown allergies, I was allowed to leave the location early. When you asked what allergens and ingredients were in it, you only received irritating looks. People, butter by the fish, look and write down what you sell to your guest at an overpriced price. I got off lightly, the next person will be carried out unconscious.

We came across this restaurant by chance during our vacation. We ate the pasta Bolognese and a Jägerschnitzel. The food was very tasty and the service was extremely friendly. We would love to come back on our next vacation :)

The food was really delicious, we ate there in the evenings all weekend. The price-performance ratio is also great. The service was also friendly and quick. Only when the terrace was opened when the weather was good, the two waiters were a little too few and the waiting time for drinks took longer (the kitchen was still super fast). But then the owners probably stepped in and things went better :) We can highly recommend the restaurant

We have been here several times, most recently with a larger group. Although we were there a good 2 hours earlier than announced, we were able to take a seat at the table that had already been prepared and were warmly welcomed throughout. The ambience is very nice and seems high quality, the restaurant is located right on the water so you have a great view of it. We would be happy to come back🍀

We were visiting with family on a Saturday. We had nice seats outside. Located right on the water there is a beautiful view. The ambience is right... 😊 Everyone had a piece of cake with their coffee. The cakes are homemade, you can taste it! The price for one piece is more than justified. It simply tastes wonderful! ☺️ We will definitely come back for dinner again. 👍🏻

Nice terrace with a view of the water. The staff was nice. The food was tasty, but the price/performance ratio was not the best. The “salad bowl” for €22 was a plate that I had already gotten as a starter plate elsewhere. I would have liked a cooler for the water bottle. So after 10 minutes it was warm. My daughter had the burger with sweet potato fries, which was really tasty. In addition to the bowl, I had a crab soup, which was very average in terms of taste and ingredients. All in all, I was hoping for a little more sophistication and exclusivity in terms of taste given the beautiful ambience.

Impudence, something like the yoghurt tangerine cake was full of water and the poppy seed cake had hair in it, for the money I think it's really impudence, especially the reception wasn't inviting either, the lady at the counter was very cold and tense, maybe that was a sign us. I don't have any suggestions for improvements, everything needs to be reworked. Unfortunately, in my opinion and experience, it is not recommended.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding here, the food, the conditions and the ambience were simply perfect. They also baked us our wedding cake, which also tasted fantastic! We also always enjoyed staying here before our wedding and are already looking forward to our next evenings together at Villa Colonial. If you could give more than 5 stars, we would!

A very good restaurant, had a wonderful buffet for 35 people. Friendly service, quick and good. Great wines. A great address in Malente for celebrations and also for private purposes.

We were there for lunch today. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I had the schnitzel with mushroom sauce... Unfortunately the sauce came with a thick skin (it had probably been there for a while) and I found a black hair in the sauce. I'm still waiting for an apology from the kitchen... Too bad, I'm otherwise happy to be there.

Great view of the lake. Despite the wind, we sat outside and were really well protected. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were cold and the Viennese-style schnitzel was a bit watery under the breading, but otherwise the food was very good and plentiful.

The Special Angus Burger is the best burger around. Great bun, great sauce and delicious meat. Plus the sweet potato fries. The service was very nice and the view of the lake was enchanting.

Had dinner on the terrace today with the whole family. From vegetarian to burgers, pizza, salad bowls and curry chicken - we really enjoyed everything! The ambience on the terrace overlooking the lake as well as the service: everything is fantastic! We recommend!

After a lovely boat trip, we decided to go straight to this restaurant on the pier. All we can say is that it was one of the best things we've eaten in a long time. There was rump steak with asparagus and potatoes… the rump steak was delivered exactly as desired… wonderful ambience and friendly service. What can we say: keep it up

Great ambience and the location is good. Unfortunately a new memory card, all expensive. But it was good, just not for every budget and every day. But we will definitely come back.

That was a very modest performance today. Frozen peas on the so-called antipasti plate and hardly any other antipasti for EUR 14.50. Find the mistake. In addition to the mediocre main courses, the experience was rounded off by the waiter's snippy behavior and the no longer reasonable prices. Next time I'd like to eat somewhere else.

Great rooms upstairs and a cozy bar in the basement. There is the right space for every occasion with delicious food and delicious drinks. Here the boss still cooks himself 🙃

Very nice and cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was good, but the information about the spirits was less than adequate. If the guests are wondering what kind of spirit it is, it sometimes makes sense to provide precise information about it and I deduct one star because that didn't happen here.

Schönes Restaurant, bei Tage tolle Aussicht auf den Dieksee. Sehr nette, aufmerksame, ja, professionelle Bedienung. Gute Karte mit Speisen und Getränken. Sehr schmackhaft gekocht und toll dekoriert. Allerdings etwas knappe Portion. Wenn Grünkohl nur knapp auf dem Teller ist, dann ziehe ich mindestens einen Stern ab. Schade.

Wir waren zum Weihnachtsessen dort. Abgesehen davon, dass zwischen Vorspeise und dem Hauptgericht über eine Stunde Wartezeit waren, hat mich auch das Essen nicht überzeugt.

Ich hatte heute zu meinem Geburtstag eingeladen. Es gab Ente für alle. Extrawünsche wurden umgesetzt. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt und war reichlich. Preisleistung hat gestimmt.

Wir waren heute zum Weihnachtsessen im Restaurant. Die Örtlichkeit macht von außen und innen einen schönen und gemütlichen Eindruck. Auch der Service war freundlich. Leider verging zwischen der Vorspeise und dem Hauptgang über eine Stunde Wartezeit. Das Essen (Rumpsteak) war geschmacklich in Ordnung, jedoch nicht überragend. Preis-Leistung hat mich hier leider nicht überzeugt, so dass ich persönlich hier nicht nochmal essen würde.

Die Schokolade mit Schuss kann man nur wärmstens empfehlen! Zum Essen kann ich leider nichts sagen, aber der Rest stimmt auf jeden Fall. Tolles und liebevolles Ambiente. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es gegenüber am Bahnhof. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt. Gerne wieder!
