Wir waren eine kleine Gruppe von 3 KollegInnen mit ganz unterschiedlichen Ansprüchen: sättigend, leicht, vegan, vegetarisch, mit Fleisch, scharf und nicht zu scharf. Wir haben uns drei unterschiedliche Gerichte ausgesucht und alle waren wir total begeistert. Gute Portionen, die uns zugleich nicht überfordert haben, sehr gut gewürzt, ansprechend serviert. Kurz: wir waren begeistert. Das Ambiente ist nicht bieder oder komplett traditionell, eine nette Mischung aus indisch-klassisch und künstlerisch-modern. Der Service war hervorragend.

We were there with a relative for his birthday. Food and service is really okay. The ambience of the facility is okay, but unfortunately a bit of a hall-like atmosphere. But what surprises us is that last year (visit on a Saturday evening) and this year (visit on a Sunday evening) we were almost the only guests. With our table there were only one or two other tables occupied.

It was super tasty, very nice service and food, we were there for the first time, but not for the last!!

We eat a lot of Indian cuisine . In India and everywhere. This meal was disappointing: for starters, they had no pickles nor mango chutney (in an Indian restaurant??), although they tried to charge us in the bill (but, at my request, corrected it). The papadum was so old and moist that you could almost bend it like bread. Food was not tasty: even the paneer jalfrezi (supposed to be hot) was mild like ketchup, and the blend of spices was all wrong, both the tadka and the masala. The paneer cheese rather felt like tofu, and was all watery, leaky. The paneer Tikka could have been fajitas. For the first time in perhaps >200 Indian meals, we had to leave all dishes totally unfinished. Both my wife and I. To be fair, the mango lassi was excellent (although they did not have salty lassi from the menu, which is our favorite). Other clients seem to have liked it there. So I guess we were really unlucky, or it was a replacement cook...

Not a great meal. Onion Badjis are just limp Onion Rings. We had a chicken vindaloo and chicken masala and whilst the sauce tasted ok the texture of the chicken wasn't good. Didn't taste like chicken at all, tasted like jellied reformed chicken. Just not nice and no texture. The vindaloo also was very hot either so not even that took the taste away. Overall not a great experience.

Good food with delicious spices, a cozy atmosphere and at the end a homemade mango schnapps. Lunch from 9 euros. Gladly again. Thanks.

Why do I need a great ambience when the service and food are good?

I'm so happy that I found a nice indian restaurant near my house! I really enjoyed the food, my favorite was chicken biryani. I recommend as well their mango lassi! The best lassi I've tried in Berlin. Shout out as well to Adam our server!

Really delicious and inexpensive here! I had the daily special of lamb and a large drink for €15 in total. The service here is very attentive, quick and friendly. From the kitchen there was a small starter soup and a mango liqueur for afterwards. Can only be recommended 👍😉

Chandi is a Pakistani-Indian restaurant. It is not barrier-free but offers the option of dining outside in warmer months. It is a very clean and tidy restaurant that has plenty of space and invites you to linger. You don't feel like you're in anyone's way and that makes it very comfortable in my opinion. The sanitary facilities are in perfect working order and very clean. We were there for lunch with 4 people and were personally served in an extremely friendly and courteous manner by the owner. The food was very tasty and was served quickly. All dishes were served with rice and a salad. All in all, we all felt very comfortable and the friendly service and the very tasty food will allow us to experience the culinary delights of the Chandi restaurant again.

Best Pakistani cuisine in Steglitz; For me, even in Berlin, because it is rare that the sauces are prepared without or with very little cream, therefore ideal for vegans and vegetarians. The ambience is also very nice; especially through the individually designed wall paintings. When you enter the restaurant you immediately immerse yourself in another world!

I have tried many Indian restaurants in Berlin and I will definitely visit this restaurant again. I ordered a lamb dish and the lamb was exceptionally tender! You can generally tell that very high quality ingredients are used for the dishes. Great value for money!

Great restaurant! Very tasty food, no matter what was ordered. Soups were fantastic. All extra requests were taken into account. Fast service despite a large group (12 people). Real hospitality, we felt welcome. Very fair price for a very positive experience. We recommend!!!

Waren heute zu Zwei dort zum Mittagsmenü, da wir auf der Suche nach einem neuen Inder waren. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wirklich angemessen! Der erste Inder, bei dem ich die Suppe komplett gegessen habe. :-) Etwas vermisst haben wir, dass es vorweg nicht das knusprige Fladenbrot mit 3 Dip-Saucen gab. Service war freundlich, allerdings mussten wir uns auf englisch verständigen, was ich mir bei älteren Menschen schwierig vorstelle. Also kleiner Abzug, sonst waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. :-)

Wunderbares indisches Restaurant mit tollem Ambiente, leckeren Speisen und fantastischem Service. Hier wird noch alles selbst gemacht, sogar der Joghurt. Die Saucen wechseln sich regelmäßig ab.

They are super rude and not realy polite we ordered we order butter chicken and he got the chicken with bones, and when we gave them the feedback .....the people were arrogant and rude, 3 starts only for your behavior. Their service was also delayed I will not recomend anyone to go here

Sehr nettes Personal. Ohne Nachfrage wurde gefragt ob wir noch Reis benötigen. Auch das Essen ist sehr lecker :) Relativ große Auswahl an vegetarischen Gericht. Zu empfehlen!!

Wir haben mit 3 Personen dort gegessen und waren alle sehr zufrieden! Wir mussten nicht lange auf das Essen warten und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Auch optisch spricht das Essen für sich!!

Absolutely TERRIBLY small portions on the Mittagsmenu. 3 tiny pieces of cut up chicken squares. When I complained, they said, "it's the Mittagsmenu; it's a smaller portion. We told you beforehand, and that's how it is in all restaurants." First of all, nobody told me beforehand - I got lured in by the sign outside advertising a midday discount on the normal meal. Nobody told me it was going to be a smaller size, and it didn't say that on the sign. They shouldn't be advertising a midday "deal" or "discount" if they're just charging nearly full price for 1/3 the size of a normal meal. In addition to the false advertising, the server was very unfriendly in how he dealt with the customer.

Waiters are attentive and the service is really fast but unfortunately the food is mediocre. They simply lack spices that make a dish true Indian food. Never again.

Das Essen ist sehr gut und schmeckt auch sehr gut und geschmack voll. Kann ich sehr gut empfehlen da hin zu gehen. Ich würde immer wieder hin gehen um zu essen. Ich war sehr zufrieden dort.

Wir haben zum Liefern bestellt. Mir ist es ein Rätsel, wie das Restaurant auf Google 4,6 Sterne bekommen konnte. Lieblos zubereitetes Essen, sehr fad und wässrig, das bestellte Naan hatte einen sehr komischen Nachgeschmack und die Konsistenz vom Fleisch beim Curry und Sabzi sowie die Chicken Pakora selbst hatten eine wirklich komische Konsistenz. Die schlechte Erfahrung begann jedoch schon mit der Lieferung, das Essen wurde anscheinend nicht angemessen eingepackt, da es in der Tasche des Kuriers ausgelaufen ist und uns so übergeben wurde. Wir müssen jetzt unseren Hausflur und die Fußmatte von der Currysoße reinigen und kommen definitiv nicht noch mal auf dieses Restaurant zurück. Absolut keine Empfehlung, wir sind sehr enttäuscht.

Geschmack unterirdisch. Wässrige Soße, keinerlei Konsistenz vom Fleisch, bitterer Nachgeschmack des Naan. Absolut keine Empfehlung wenn man beabsichtigt etwas leckeres zu essen. 4,6 Sterne bei Google ? WOHER ?

Don't know if the chef was sick or something, as other reviewers seemed to have been satisfied with the food. I was there with my partner and I was astounded at how bad every single dish we had ordered tasted. The waiter was super nice, though, and apologetic when I told him. This may have been an exception, but it was pretty bad.

Wow.... Ich kenne viele indische Restaurants, hier ist eins was ich wirklich empfehlen kann! Unser Menü bestand aus: Mix Pakoras für 1 Person mit 4 verschiedenen Soßen, Chicken Korma und Papadam. Incl. 2 Getränke haben wir zu Zweit ca. 25€ bezahlt, das ist echt super. Der Geschmack ist hervorragend gewesen. Zur Rechnung kam dann noch ein Mangoschnaps. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Rund um eine Empfehlung und 5 Sterne wert.

Typisches Indisch-pakistanisches Restaurant in Steglitz. Geschmackvolle Einrichtung, netter Außenbereich. Gut besucht am Freitag Abend. Freundlicher Empfang, allerdings etwas überlasteter Service bei vollem Lokal, sodass es dauert und die Aufmerksamkeit zu wünschen übrig lässt. Zahlen dauerte von der Aufforderung bis zum Abschluss fast eine halbe Stunde. Die Speisen sind guter Durchschnitt, aber auch nicht mehr. Als „scharf“ gekennzeichnete Gerichte sind nicht wirklich scharf, selbst für europäische Gaumen nicht. Portionen sind ausreichend, aber nicht besonders üppig. Fazit: Gibt es woanders auch, teilweise sogar besser.

Das Essen ist super lecker und das Restaurant sehr sauber! Das wird dann wohl eines unserer Stammrestaurants werden :)

Wir waren zu viert im Chandi und waren alle zufrieden. Das Essen hat allen geschmeckt und war auch ausreichend. Die Bedienung war freundlich und hat uns bei der Auswahl der Speisen gut beraten.

Die Mitarbeiter sind immer nett und freundlich. Die Speisen sind sehr Lecker, mit einer großen Auswahl. Nach meinem Geschmack dürften die Portionen etwas größer sein (besonders zur Mittagszeit) , auch wenn man Reis ohne Aufpreis nach bekommt, für den Reis jedoch gehe ich nicht ins dieses Restaurant. Alles in allem aber eine Empfehlung meinerseits.

Die Atmosphere des Restaurants (Einrichtung und Freundlichkeit des Personals) lässt einen sofort wohlfühlen. Meine vegane Speise hat mir echt gut geschmeckt, war sehr ausgiebig und es gab keine langen Wartezeiten. Ich werde definitiv wieder kommen!

Eins meiner Stammlokale! Als Vegetarierin bin ich hier immer gut aufgehoben. Das personal ist sehr nett und Preise sind schon unterdurchschnittlich. Lunch Angebot ist unschlagbar!
