Äußerst großzügige Portion, Panna Cotta schön vanillig, Erdbeeren frisch, Schokolade sehr lecker Kaiserschmarrn ebenfalls sehr großzügige Portion. Sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service, angenehme Atmosphäre trifft auf eine regionale handwerklich sehr gute kreative Küche. Insbesondere das Überraschungsmenü ist von der Preis-Leistung sensationell. Wunderbare Variationen vom Tatar, Spargel, Kalb und ein richtig gutes Dessert (optisch einfach, aber geschmacklich außergewöhnlich). Lediglich der leckere Espresso könnte etwas weniger Wasser vertragen. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert.

Absoluter Geheimtipp direkt in der Regensburger Innenstadt! Wir waren jetzt zweimal dort, zuletzt vor drei Tagen. Das Essen war wirklich wahnsinnig gut und der Service sehr aufmerksam. Die Speisekarte bietet kreative deutsche Küche, in die aber immer wieder auch Einflüsse aus anderen Ländern einfließen, und das Ganze mit großem Wert auf regionale und saisonale Zutaten - das heißt aber automatisch, dass man nicht immer jeden "Wirtshausklassiker" auf der Karte findet. Die Karte ist nicht riesig, bietet aber tolle Abwechslung und wechselt häufig, sodass man bei jedem Besuch etwas neues probieren kann. Man merkt bei jedem Gericht, dass der Koch viel Leidenschaft, Kreativität und Liebe zum Detail in seine Speisen steckt, die komplett selbstgemacht und ohne Convineance-Produkte zubereitet werden zu scheinen. Nachdem wir vor drei Tagen so begeistert waren haben wir für heute Abend direkt wieder einen Tisch reserviert und freuen uns schon sehr - heute gönnen wir uns das Viergang-Überraschungsmenü :) Nachtrag: wir waren heute wieder ausnahmslos begeistert. Zu viert haben wir uns einmal durch die Karte probiert und ein Gericht war besser als das andere. Wir sind jedes Mal wieder begeistert von der Kochkunst und Kreativität des Küchenchefs. Diese Qualität findet man nicht oft in Regensburg!

We arrived at the restaurant during an off time and it was truly a special experience. Sit outside, have some wine or Maracujaschorle and the Kartoffelsalat is a must try. I was also craving sausage and kraut, not something listed on the menu but since they weren’t very busy the chef was kind enough to indulge my request and make it for me. It was the best meal we had during our two week trip across Bavaria! I will never forget the kindness and hospitality Coming Home Cafe had to offer, it was a lovely dining experience and even more impressive meal. Apologies for posting a late review, we arrived in the summertime and this is still a meal that I think about fondly -I hope that the kitchen and staff are doing well and look forward to our next visit very much. Do not skip dining here if you are traveling!

The salmon was musty and the cordon bleu had very little cheese, and was also dry because it was overcooked, like the fried chicken, which many couldn't stomach.

We discovered Coming Home through a recommendation. The food in the restaurant is excellent, and there's a small but fine selection of drinks. The friendliness and attentiveness of the kitchen and service are unbeatable – two of the six people ordered an appetizer, while the other four were provided with a small appetizer by the kitchen to pass the time while they waited for their main course. The service also shone with humor and spontaneity. Coming Home won't be the last time we've been to it; we'll definitely be back – an absolute recommendation!

The restaurant has been one of our favorites for many years – the food is always delicious and the service is top-notch! Because we love it there so much, we even celebrated our wedding in June with around 50 guests in the beautiful courtyard. The coordination of drinks and the menu (including a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks and vegan/vegetarian dishes) went absolutely smoothly. Not only were we able to choose from a fantastic selection, but we even created our own summer drinks that perfectly matched our theme. The menu was also a complete success – the veal received particular praise from many guests, and every single course was simply fantastic. The service was attentive, professional, and always friendly. Everything arrived on time and at the same time. In conclusion: We are overjoyed to have celebrated our wedding here and can highly recommend the restaurant not only for a cozy getaway but also for special celebrations!

I was truly impressed for the first time in a long time. It was simply amazing, and you could really feel the love in the service and the choice of ingredients. The drinks and food are unparalleled in Regensburg. We'll be back, and it's especially worth it for customers who enjoy cooking and want to experience new influences. One important note: The owner changed about 1.5 years ago. Many negative reviews date back to that time. I can highly recommend this restaurant!

An absolute insider tip for delicious food in Regensburg! We were at Coming Home for our wedding and sat in the beer garden. The food was an absolute feast for the palate and of a very high standard. We had a fantastic appetizer platter with fresh, regional ingredients. The main course had something for everyone: sirloin steak, perfectly medium-rare, with roasted and braised onions, salmon, fried chicken for the kids, and broccoli tossed in butter. Each dish was simply perfect in its own right. The sirloin steak was absolutely tender and well-seasoned. The salmon was fresh and delicious. The fried chicken was crispy, and the broccoli had the perfect texture. To finish off, we had the most chocolatey chocolate mousse with fresh strawberries and a panna cotta. All this for just €42.90 per person. It's incredible how you can conjure up such a wonderful and delicious menu for that price. I can definitely recommend it for a wedding party! We were absolutely thrilled and will definitely be back soon!

The backhendl salat is sooooo incredibly delicious. The chicken is perfectly fried. Juicy, tasty, and very delicate and crispy outside. The salat is perfectly seasoned. What is surprising is that each small ingredient inside has its own taste! The onion is candied, the asparagus is pickled taste while very fresh, the little radish is salted and warm so that it doesn’t have that raw taste, etc. The attention to detail is really really amazing. Best backhendl salad I had yet. (I love backhendl salad and order it often in different restaurants, here really has the best!)

We were in Regensburg for a weekend and were looking for a restaurant where you could eat well. I'm always very skeptical about very good reviews, but here I have to agree with the other reviews. There were 4 of us there and we all had different dishes. Everyone was very enthusiastic about the quality and preparation of the food. Inside it is a bit cramped but has its charm. This evening we went to Restaurant Coming Home in Regensburg, Germany. What a delightful surprise! The food was really delicious. We started with an amuse bouche of egg cream & onion topped with caviar. Wow! Amazing flavors. This was my favorite taste of the evening! For my main course I had Backhendl--which translates to fried chicken. However, this was no simple fried chicken. It was lightly crispy, melt in your mouth, and tender & moist inside. My husband had the Wildragout. He said it was fabulous with tender meat and an amazing sauce. The service was warm and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and lively. The other plus was that they allow dogs and they were genuinely happy to greet her. I highly recommend Coming Home & we'll be back next year!

The “Cut of the Day” was simply outstanding – wonderfully tender, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. You can immediately tell that the highest quality and fresh ingredients are used here. The chef, Martin, is a true genius at the grill. His passion for cooking and his craftsmanship can be felt in every bite. He managed to give the steak a delicious crust while the inside was buttery tender. The side dishes were just as excellent – ​​creative and harmoniously balanced in terms of taste. In summary, I can recommend every steak lover to pay a visit to Coming Home in Regensburg.

Our new favorite restaurant in Regensburg. The dishes taste incredibly good, the individual ingredients harmonize perfectly with each other. Often seemingly simple dishes are reinterpreted and a taste experience is conjured up with surprising combinations. Everyone is so welcoming, you just feel comfortable. I had never experienced the combination of fine cuisine and a homely atmosphere. You feel like you're in the living room of a good friend who happens to be a star chef.
