The food/tapas were deep-fried, but still arrived cold. The waiter kindly warmed the tapas in the microwave. Presumably, everything was deep-fried during the day and then reheated in the evening before serving. Hardly anything was fresh. Even the fish and potatoes were deep-fried and probably ready-made meals from the freezer section. Overall, the quality of the food was comparable to that of a fast-food restaurant. The price was rather high: we paid around €35 ​​per person for the meal alone, not including dessert or drinks. The ambiance in the restaurant is nice, though.

We felt very comfortable at Casa Mendoza. We were there for the annual Spanish evening with paella. It was a lovely, cozy atmosphere, the service was very friendly, and the host was warm and made us laugh. We particularly enjoyed the flamenco music and paella. Unfortunately, this combination only happens once a year. But it was all the more beautiful; we felt like we were in Spain. P.S. The paella was fantastic!

I'm very sorry. I came with high expectations. First, the wrong starter was brought, and we waited 45 minutes for the main course. The waiter was friendly and apologetic. Unfortunately, the food was cold, the plates were broken, which shouldn't have been. Furthermore, in my opinion, the price was inappropriate. Furthermore, the bills were mixed up, but that was resolved on the spot. Unfortunately, I only give the waiter a point; otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it. 👎

Last night we spent an absolutely unforgettable evening at Casa Mendoza Tapas in Nuremberg! It was our first visit, but definitely not our last. The ambiance was inviting and authentic, but the real highlight was the food. We sampled our way through the tapas menu and loved every single dish. Every detail was spot on, the quality of the ingredients was top-notch, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The Gambas al Ajillo were particularly amazing, and the Pimientos de Padrón are among the best we've ever tasted. But what really made this visit special was the service. The waitresses were not only incredibly friendly and attentive, but also helped us with great recommendations. You can tell that the food here is prepared with passion and heart. And best of all: Despite the outstanding quality, the prices are truly fair and affordable. A true gem in Nuremberg that proves that top quality doesn't have to be expensive. We highly recommend Casa Mendoza Tapas and will definitely be back soon!

Four of us were at the Casa last night and received a warm welcome. As requested in our online reservation, we were given a comfortable table. The wine recommendations and tapas were excellent. After politely asking, we were even allowed to keep our table longer than reserved. It was a wonderful evening, and we'll definitely be back.

Que pena! We were looking forward to a warm Spanish evening in the still cold Nuremberg spring. The service was quick and the explanation of the order was understandable and simple. We lived in Spain and speak the language, so we were familiar with tapas and were expectant. There is no price information on the menu or order form, which surprised us a lot. There were four of us and we ordered 4 tapas per person, so we had 16 different tapas. We ordered from each category so that we had enough choice. Soft drinks and bread were served quickly. Positive: the drinks are served in glass bottles. Unfortunately, the bread served was soft and completely tasteless. The tapas were all unconvincing, including tortilla cold and not fresh, chorizo ​​drowned in fatty sauce, beef cold and tasteless, greasy, thickly fried eggplant, jamon serrano with a thick fat rim from the package, the sauces were served in small porcelain vessels, all of which were sharply broken at the edge. We were looking forward to fresh, homemade, sophisticated little tapas that the Spanish do so well. Here in Nuremberg we only got convenience products that we can buy in any discount store during the Spanish week. The crowning glory of this culinary disaster was the bill: EUR 162. If you want to advertise Spanish cuisine like this, then you need to urgently rethink the cooking staff and ingredients, not to mention the pricing policy!

Great Spanish restaurant. But the price-performance ratio isn't quite right, because we've eaten much better and cheaper tapas. I expect the shrimp in the small clay pots to be still hot and sizzling, the mussels were extremely small and unfortunately a real joke for €13. Four thin slices of steak for €12 is also not good value for money. The service on Sunday evening was very nice, but a bit overwhelmed since he ran the place completely by himself. Unfortunately, no one asked me if I would like anything else to drink. I ordered squid tubes according to the menu, what I got were four fried squid rings, which I get better seasoned and prepared at every Greek restaurant. Unfortunately it was dispassionate. Even though we were impressed by the atmosphere, we unfortunately won't be coming back. Too bad!

Good and large selection of tapas, ordering process using a piece of paper is quite confusing for larger groups. Tapas itself tastes good. The big drawback is the food and drink menu without any price information; We were accordingly shocked at the end when we received the total bill. For example, a beer (0.33l!) costs €5 here, as do soft drinks.

We prefer to visit Casa Mendoza on paella evening because it is celebrated here as a culinary experience, including preparation in the dining room and tasting of the stock. Delicious starters, a very small but well-selected wine list (the white wine from the recommendation menu brings back holiday memories) and of course a delicious paella - second helpings possible! Casa Mendoza is a tapas bar. The friendly owner is Spanish and cooks phenomenally. On the last Sunday of the month there is delicious paella. Needless to say that all the tapas are great. Wine and beer and brown tequila, served by the always funny barman Israel, round off the overall experience. Leave your car, take the subway and get off at Maxfeld station. Then there are only a few meters left. The cozy atmosphere with bar and high tables invites you to linger for a long time. The guests are all muy simpático.
