Burgschänke in Nürnberg

We went for dinner on two days and were absolutely satisfied. The homemade schnitzel, cevapcici with homemade potato salad, mixed salad, and dessert were all truly delicious. Overall, a top-notch place.

Small, cozy tavern, great staff and the most important thing: delicious food. The goulash soup and Schäufele were very tasty and the prices were reasonable

We were out and about today with our two kids and therefore with two strollers. It seemed almost impossible for us to find a restaurant in the area that would accommodate us with strollers. Here at the Burgschenke the innkeeper welcomed us so warmly and was incredibly helpful and loving! We ate two Schäufele. A dream!! The portion was large, the meat was really tender and the dumplings and cabbage were delicious! We can only recommend everyone to take a detour and stop off here! 🤩

We liked it very much. The meatball soup was delicious, fresh bread with it, very good! The Schäufele is tender as butter, the rind is crispy, delicious sauce and cabbage and a perfect dumpling. We then shared the Romanian dessert and oh my god, it was so delicious! We were also warmly welcomed and looked after; we felt very comfortable. If we ever come back to Nuremberg at some point, we'll come back!

Been looking for a Romanian restaurant around Nurnberg while on a business trip. Chosen this one because the other two I found online did not accept cards. That is the first plus. Had Romanian food and it was absolutely delicious. Service was awesome. The atmosphere was great but just keep in mind that the place is small. You should consider a reservation.

Not nice anymore. As a regular customer, you can't get a seat in a completely empty restaurant at 5 p.m. because everything is supposedly fully booked after 6 p.m. If you just want to eat, you would be outside again. Nothing remains of the warm, family-run restaurant. We're crossing this restaurant off our list. Apparently it's only for tourists and no longer for locals.

We came here for the first time on the recommendation of our son. Reservation recommended. Of course, as Franconians we could have treated ourselves to the typical Franconian cuisine. But we all deliberately chose something Romanian, even for dessert. Everything was very tasty and very moderate prices for the city center, right next to the castle. Parking nearby is no problem either. We were definitely not here for the last time. Photo shows the delicious Romanian cabbage wraps with polenta. Highly recommended! Service was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was really cozy. See you next time!

Unfortunately the food tasted bland, mashed potatoes were sticky and tasteless of potatoes, and the worst sweet cabbage salad I have ever tasted. We ordered sodas (coca and fanta), and they were served from a 3lt container (no gas or flavor) for that price we expected better food. The service is good and the place is nice, but the food is really bad.

Great place for dinner in Nuremberg old town. Tasty food and drink, good portions and attentive service. I highly recommend the cabbage rolls and polenta. My favourite.

Small restaurant that serves good traditional dishes. Fair prices. Absolute recommendation if you want to eat a cozy Franconian meal far away from the tourist crowds. We were there with our two children and had the Nuremberg sausages in combination with several delicious side dishes. Everyone was fed and satisfied. Nothing was left. 5 Stars.

Ate very tasty Schäufle. Very nice and caring service. Good price/performance ratio. The other dishes on the menu and the neighboring tables also made a good impression. In the evening all the tables in the dining room were occupied. It is advisable to reserve a table.

Simply delicious food and nice service

We actually wanted to go and eat Schäufele, but unfortunately it wasn't ready yet. So we ate roast pork. And I have to say, it was really good. I have rarely eaten such delicious roast pork. The meat is buttery tender and the sauce is a poem. So I definitely have to come back and try the Schäufele.

A very cozy restaurant, rustic, small menu but super delicious

kleinstes Schäuferla meines lebens (ohne übertreibung), für 17 Euro bestellt. das finde ich etwas ZU frech. Spätzle waren in Ordnung. Trotzdem nicht mehr.

Wir hatten eine halbe Ente und den Bratwurstteller mit einer einer extra Portion Pommes. Die Ente war sehr zart und saftig, der Rotkohl und der Kloß waren ebenfalls sehr gut. Es gab vier verschiedene Bratwürstchen in unterschiedlichen Gößen. Alles war sehr lecker. Die Preise sind angemessen! Uns wurde das Restaurant von unserem Hotel empfohlen, da dort während des Christkindlesmarkts evtl. noch ein Platz zu bekommen wäre. Während des Christkindlesmarkts ist es nicht leicht einfach einen Tisch zu bekommen. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall ein oder besser zwei/drei Tage vorher anzurufen. Rumänische Speisen werden nur noch auf Nachfrage angeboten.

Walked in without a reservation and was seated at a table sharing with another group. No problem with that. Ordered the Schweinebraten, Schnitzel and Hänchenbrustfilet. Paid extra for the mushroom sauce for one dish as we had ordered it. However we were also charged for the mushroom sauce of another dish even though we did not order it. Only realised this when the bill came and decided to let it go. However, we were also charged extra for an unknown item on the bill. When queried, we were told that because one drop of mushroom sauce went onto the table cloth (2mm), we had to pay for the cleaning of the table cloth. I have never heard of this rule in Germany so maybe this is new or exclusive to this restaurant. So do take note especially when eating with children.

Waren heute in der Burschänke! Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, auch während wir uns dort aufhielten wurde jeder Gast, genau so freundlich empfangen und begrüßt. Das ist wirkliche Gastfreundschaft!! Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und fragt nach, ob alles passt und ob noch etwas benötigt wird. Die Burschänke ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr stillvoll. Das Schäffele war super zart, aber auch das Sauerkraut und der Knödel, eine super Sache. Wenn ich mal wieder aus München in Nürnberg bin, komme ich sehr gerne wieder. Preisleistung und Qualität des Essen sehr gut.👍 Danke für den gelungenen Abend. Wahren am nächsten Tag noch mal da Alles wie gehabt. Auf Nachfrage gibt es eine Rumänischespeissekarte! Der Wirt ist aus Rumänien . Habe Krautwickel mit Polenta gegessen, ein typisches Weihnachtsessen Danke für den zweiten gelungenen Abend

Wir sind eine kleinere Reisegruppe aus Thüringen und das erste Mal, zu Gast in Nürnberg. Die Bedienung dieses Lokales empfing uns, überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend, obwohl die Gaststätte bereits, gut besucht war und wir bekamen sogar noch, einen sehr super Platz. Das Essen wurde sehr ansprechend und sehr geschmackvoll, in kürzester Zeit zubereitet und serviert. Vielen herzlichen Dank nochmals, an die Bedienung und das gesamte Personal. Wir werden sehr gern, bei einem nächsten Besuch, Ihren Service wieder in Anspuch nehmen. Ein Vorbild, für hervorragende Gastlichkeit.

Wir hatten Glück am letzten Wochenende vor Weihnachten noch zwei Plätze zu bekommen, und die Überraschung hätte kaum größer sein können: neben der deutschen Küche gab es auch eine Rumänische! Und was für eine Karte… alle Klassiker die man liebt, und super umgesetzt. Chef und Personal waren sehr liebenswürdig und hilfsbereit, ich kann die Burgschänke wärmstens empfehlen und hoffe, dass sie ihren Rumänischen Kern künftig ein wenig mehr zum Vorschein bringen werden!

Na famosa Albert-Dürer Straße, este restaurante foi um verdadeiro achado em uma noite, na qual o restaurante que havíamos programado estava lotado! Com uma decoração típica e atendentes trajadas a caráter, fomos muito bem acolhidos desde o início. os pratos típicos da região eram bem saborosos, mas a sobremesa foi, sem dúvida alguma, o ponto alto de nossa refeição! A cerveja local "Tucher" vem servida em uma caneca de porcelana, compondo o clima típico alemão, o que faz uma grande diferença com outros locais que optam por copos e canecas de vidro.

服務親切，氣氛不錯，食物很美味！蘑菇湯熱且不鹹，主菜點炸豬排與燉豬肩，都很好吃！豬肩燉煮到很軟爛，酸菜超好吃不鹹，馬鈴薯球吃起來很像糯米球。炸豬排酥脆，薯條也很好吃。

Bisschen klein, wenn man nicht gerade draußen sitzen kann. Lecker rumänisches Essen...allerdings muss man hierfür nach der "anderen Karte" fragen. Wenn man es nicht weiß, bekommt man nur die deutsche Karte
