Es war ein Fest für die Sinne ,für uns und unsere Gäste . Giovanni und sein Team haben ein Kreatives 4 Gänge Menü zum runden Geburtstag meiner Frau mit Geburtstags Torte gemacht . vielen Dank an Giovanni und sein Team von Edgar,Christine und unsere Gäste

Herzensküche und es ist wie ein Gang durch eine Ausstellung von Kostbarkeiten ( Vorspeisenvariationen für 2). Nicht zu Unrecht eines der 100 Besten italienischen Restaurants. Giovanni interpretiert und gestaltet sein kulinarischen Angebote selbst, er ist die treibende Kraft in der Küche und von dort verbreitet sich der Esprit an die Tische und zu den Gästen. Wer einmal dort war kehrt gerne wieder zurück.

Sind gestern spontan nach einem Städtchen-Bummel bei Casa Lodato stehen geblieben und haben gefragt, ob wir einen der hübschen Außenplätze nutzen können! Das ging zwar nur etwa 1 1/2 Stunden (danach war alles reserviert), reichte aber aus! Der Service war extrem nett, flott und perfekt, das Essen schon optisch eine Hochgenuss und geschmacklich auf 5*****-Niveau!! Danke an das Team, ihr seid großartig und wir kommen sicher wieder!

Ich war heute hier bei Casa Lodato essen der Restaurant Ambiente und seine Spaghetti alle vongole ist es wie deine Seele auf der costiera amalfitana befindesich. Der Thunfisch Steak war Butter zart gegart. Sehr freundliches Bedienung. Ich finde eine der 100 top restaurant in kanz Deutschland. Absolut weiter zu empfehlen.

Sehr leckeres Essen, tolles Ambiente und ein wirklich freundliches Personal. Die Mitarbeiter waren aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und haben dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Gerne wieder!

Das hat wunderbar geschmeckt. Wir hatten eine Vorspeise, ein Hauptgericht und Dessert. Es hat nicht nur gut geschmeckt, es sah auch gut aus. Das Personal war sympathisch und sehr freundlich. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Ein sehr nettes und einladendes Restaurant. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und an einen Tisch geführt. Als kleines Dankeschön vom Koch erhielten wir Brot mit Kräuterbutter und eine wunderbare Tasse Suppe (sie war einfach köstlich). Die Speisen waren originell und ansprechend präsentiert.

Essen wirklich phantastisch, Kreationen des Chefs sind außergewöhnlich gut und ein Gaumen Schmaus. Bedienung zuvorkommend und absolut professionell und freundlich. Immer wieder gerne 😎

Mein absoluter Lieblingsitaliener! Hier stimmt einfach alles: das Ambiente ist warm und gemütlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und wie bei Freunden. Der Service ist aufmerksam, herzlich und immer mit einem Lächeln dabei – genau so, wie man es sich wünscht. Wir hatten eine veganes 4-Gang-Menü mit Weinbegleitung und es war ein Traum – unglaublich kreativ, perfekt abgestimmt und voller Geschmack. Jeder Gang war mit so viel Liebe zum Detail angerichtet, fast schon kleine Kunstwerke. Es ist so schön zu sehen, dass auch vegane Küche hier nicht nur „mitgedacht“, sondern mit Liebe zubereitet wird. Casa Lodato da Giovanni in Kettwig hat uns mit einem 4‑Gänge‑Menü inklusive Weinbegleitung eher zwiegespalten zurückgelassen. Insgesamt war das Essen in Ordnung, aber gemessen am Preis haben wir mehr erwartet.Das Entrecôte war für unseren Geschmack deutlich zu fett und die Teller insgesamt wenig liebevoll und nicht besonders fantasievoll garniert. Die Gänge wurden kommentarlos auf den Tisch gestellt, ebenso der Wein – ein, zwei erklärende Sätze zu Produkt und Idee hätten den Abend deutlich aufgewertet.Sehr irritiert hat uns die unterschiedliche Bedienung: Ein Kellner wirkte durchgehend unfreundlich, stellte wortlos die Teller ab, wünschte knapp guten Appetit und war im nächsten Moment schon am übernächsten Tisch. Empathie oder das Gefühl, wirklich willkommen zu sein, kamen so nicht auf.Das Ambiente im Gastraum ist in Ordnung, die Toiletten waren sauber, insgesamt wirkt das Restaurant gepflegt. Für das aufgerufene Preisniveau blieb der Gesamteindruck jedoch hinter unseren Erwartungen zurück – hier wäre bei Service und Präsentation des Menüs deutlich Luft nach oben.

Wir hatten das vegane 5-Gänge Menü zum Veganuary. Es war einfach fabelhaft. Liebevoll angerichtet und gespickt mit kreative Nuancen war jeder der fünf Gänge ein absolutes Erlebnis. Das Lokal war, trotz unserer Reservierung an einem Mittwoch, sehr gut besucht, aber trotz alledem nicht überfüllt oder gar zu laut. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und fachlich sehr gut. Der Chef ließ es sich nicht nehmen persönlich in Kontakt zu treten und kam auf einen kurzen Plausch und für Feedback zu uns an dem Tisch. Sehr sympathisch und alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder.

Wir haben zu Viert einen ganz tollen Abend verbracht. Das Essen und der Service waren hervorragend. Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Portionen angemessen (der Preis für die Qualität auch). Die Speisen waren frisch zubereitet und ansprechend angerichtet. Zwei von uns hatten die Antipasti Misto. Ein Traum. Kein übliches Einerlei sondern hervorragende Zusammenstellung. Der Seeteufel war auf den Punkt, das Gemüse knackig. Die Tiramisu war außergewöhnlich und außergewöhnlich lecker. Zwei von uns hatten das vegane 5-Gang Menü. Sie waren begeistert. Wir hatten reichlich Getränke, das erklärt den ProKopf Preis. Wir kommen sicher wieder! Klare Empfehlung

Wir haben dort kürzlich an einem Geburtstag zu Abend gegessen. Die Servicekraft war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente draußen vor dem Restaurant war jedoch nicht besonders ansprechend. Im Innenbereich sitzt man aber deutlich schöner. Die Vorspeise und vor allem das Dessert waren mühevoll und lecker zubereitet. Der Hauptgang war nicht schlecht, aber auch nichts Besonderes und die Pasta war für meinen Geschmack zu hart. Der Preis war vielleicht etwas zu hoch für die erbrachte Leistung. Insgesamt ein mittelmäßiges bis gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Ich wollte seit Jahren dort Essen gehen, ging aber nicht aus gesundheitlichen Gründen. Aber nun war es endlich soweit. Ich habe meinen 50. Geburtstag dort verbracht und es war super super schön. Tolles Ambiente. Das gesamte Team mega sympathisch und lustig. Das Essen war göttlich. Danke für diesen schönen Abend. Ab sofort mein Lieblingsrestaurant. Ein Tisch für Januar ist schon reserviert. 🤗

Ich bin beruflich bundesweit in gehobenen Restaurants. Selten ist dies zu solch‘ moderaten Preisen wie hier zu finden. Das kann ich garantieren. Hier trifft innovative und exklusive Küche auf herzliches und achtsames Personal..eine Küche, die Moderne und Klassik nahtlos vereint. Mit einem Chef, der selbst Küchenchef ist und für einen Talk mit Gästen persönlich an den Tisch kommt. Wir haben hier einen unvergesslichen Geburtstag meiner besten Freundin verbracht. Von Herzen Danke- an alle, die den Abend so besonders haben werden lassen! Wir freuen uns, an meinem Geburtstag wieder bei Euch zu sein. Wer gehoben essen gehen mag, dies aber herzlich und nicht spießig- ist hier genau richtig. Dieses Restaurant kann absolut uneingeschränkt empfohlen werden!

€9 for 0.1 Prosecco, €16 for a slice of eggplant, €19 for pasta with oily arrabiata, the pasta with chanterelles was too salty but there were hardly any chanterelles - you can try it, but I wouldn't recommend it!

We recently had dinner there for a birthday. The service was friendly and accommodating. The ambiance outside the restaurant, however, wasn't particularly appealing. The seating inside is much nicer, though. The appetizer and especially the dessert were carefully prepared and delicious. The main course wasn't bad, but nothing special either, and the pasta was too hard for my taste. The price was acceptable for the service provided. Overall, a mediocre price-performance ratio.

We visited Casa Lodato da Giovanni for the first time yesterday. The food – we had the small tasting menu – was absolutely delicious. The individual courses were all outstanding in terms of the quality of the ingredients, as well as the combination of flavors. A variety of the finest flavors. This was accompanied by an excellent wine from South Tyrol. The service was very friendly and good. The owner and the waitress checked with each course to ensure everyone was satisfied. It is by far the best restaurant in Kettwig and probably one of the best in all of Essen. This was certainly not our last visit. Our dog was also immediately provided with water. All in all, a successful evening. Thanks to Giovanni and the team. Yesterday we had another excellent meal. All the dishes were excellently prepared and a delight for the palate. The wine was very good and the service was outstandingly good and friendly. I think Giovanni is close to earning his first star. Thank you for the delicious experience.

If you want to treat yourself or pamper yourself, then Casa Lodato is the place for you. Exceptionally good Italian cuisine served with good humor... outstanding! The ambiance with the vaulted ceiling is also beautiful. We were at Casa Lodato as part of the Menu Carousel, and they were very flexible with wine pairings (exchanged for non-alcoholic beer) and with allergies. Thank you for that... we'd love to come back!

Truly by far the best restaurant in Essen at Michelin star level, a dream every time!

A lot of money for little taste. After the starter, I would have been better off ordering the rest. An indefinable mush made of egg, cheese and other ingredients. The mini meals afterwards looked better, but also had little to offer in terms of taste. There was little joy at our table. Check it and forget it...

A super successful evening that was able to free up a seat for us despite the house being sold out, the meal was a poem in 3 courses with a glass of Prosecco that was on the house, we will definitely visit the restaurant again, there was a special occasion on our evening: the restaurant's 5th birthday was celebrated with the 3 course menu that was personally prepared by the boss, who also personally stopped by our table. Stylish Italian Ristorante With friendly service and delicious food in the old town of Kettwig! Nice place!

Super attentive and courteous service, cozy atmosphere (although we sat outside and couldn't experience the atmosphere of the beautiful restaurant) and creative and totally delicious cuisine! Personally, I really liked the starters, but the main course and dessert were also perfect! Definitely won't be the last time.

This evening I had the pleasure of being the guest of this noble Italian. The food was great. It all started with a greeting from the kitchen, a refreshing and spicy gazpacho. Shortly afterwards the fresh bread arrived with a creamy dip and additional olive oil, salt and pepper. The Vitello Tonnato was so tender that it fell apart in your mouth. The summer truffle pasta was seasoned in a balanced way and the truffle wasn't too dominant. The various desserts were not only delicious, but all in all more than sufficient. The house was full to capacity, but the tidy, charming waiters left no wish unanswered. The boss himself even found the time to entertain the guests in small personal conversations. If you want to enjoy great Italian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere and feel like you're staying with friends, you should definitely eat there 10 out of 10 points

Love is said to go through the stomach, and at Casa Lodato Da Giovanni this is 100% true. If we want to bring Italy to Kettwig, then we feel like we've been on holiday there. It is not a simple Italian restaurant. As soon as you enter Casa Praised you immediately go on an extrasensory journey. You feel like you are entering a museum. Casa Lodato is an amazing, authentic, and most importantly innovative Italian restaurant in a beautiful location. The menu changes every 3-4 months to make use of seasonal ingredients of the highest quality coming from local producers as well as specialty ingredients imported straight from Italy. The staff is very nice and really make the whole dining experience cozy and enjoyable. They are also extremely knowledgeable about their wine selection and which wines pair well with your dinner. We have been going to Casa Lodato for almost 5 years now, and every time we go Giovanni surprises us with a variety of new dishes, each better than the previous one! We will defenetly be coming back again as soon as possible!!

We were thrilled. The chef knows his craft 🤤 Taste explosion guaranteed! We couldn’t get out of the “Hmmmm” feeling. Service was also great, friendly and attentive, as if we had known each other for a long time. Sooo warm 🫶 heartfelt recommendation ❤️ we went home with the words “we definitely have to go here again”.

Great Italian, nice service, good for celebrating.

I was there for dinner today and can only recommend it :) Beforehand there was a fluffy bread with cream and a small asparagus soup, both of which were really delicious. Afterwards there was delicious tagliolini with black truffles and parmesan. I also really have to praise the staff here. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The ambience is also really great :)

The actual product and cooking quality counts, not the supposed quality suggested by the name, design and high prices. What was unpleasant was that our bill had three bottles of wine instead of one and we had to argue. The waiter looked like he was lying and was very hesitant to cancel the two overcharged bottles. Addendum: A guest was contacted by me because of this review. It was claimed that the three bottles were accidentally caught instead of the three glasses. But that's not true either: the (real) three glasses were always next to the three bottles on the bill.

An Italian like you want. Great, high-quality dishes that simply make you happy. Very nice and attentive people who guide you through the evening. Never unpleasant and never over the top, a bit like visiting friends. Thanks!

Fine Dining auf italienisch, mit tollen Gerichten, spannenden Menus und einer extrem guten Getränke-Auswahl. Man merkt, dass Giovanni mit großer Leidenschaft und Neugierde sprichwörtlich über seinen eigenen Teller hinaus schaut, sich immer wieder inspirieren lässt. So entsteht eine Karte, die sich regelmäßig verändert, und nicht italienische Einflüsse extrem gut integiert, stimmig und von hoher Qualität ist. Wir sind jedesmal aufs Neue begeistert vom wunderbaren Essen, der tollen Atmosphäre und dem gesamten Team der Casa Lodato.

In der Casa Lodato stimmt einfach alles: Essen, Service, Location. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend mit sehr leckerem Essen und leckeren Getränken. Ich kann die Burrata als Vorspeise wärmstens empfehlen. Die Nachspeisen waren ebenfalls sehr lecker, vor allem die Haselnuss Creme Brülee mit dem Kirschsorbet.

Das Restaurant bietet ein angenehmes Ambiente, man wird dort ausgezeichnet umsorgt und das Essen ist vorzűglich. Ich hatte das Steinbeisserfilet als Hauptgericht und die Fischsuppe zur Vorspeise. Es gab nichts, aber auch gar nichts zu bemängeln. Natűrlich sind die Preise entsprechend, dafűr stimmt aber auch die Qualität.

Seit Giovanni Muginello das Restaurant übernommen hat, kann man von der innovativen, stets frischen und filigran zelebrierten italienischen Mamaküche nicht genug bekommen! Wir sind begeistert.

Wir waren gestern Abend im Casa Lodato und waren wie immer sehr begeistert. Seibling Tartar zur Vorspeise und Wagyu Beef Steinpilz Pasta zum Hauptgang. Unfassbar, wie stimmig alles war? Vor allem das Gurkensorbet neben dem Seibling Tartar, war ein Traum. Danke für den gelungenen Abend an das gesamte Team.

Wir waren gestern zum 4 mal bei Giovanni der mit so viel Herz und Liebe sein Restaurant führt. Gemeinsam mit Salvatore und Roberto bildet er ein kaum zu übertreffendes Team. Das Essen ist unglaublich und durch den genialen Service von Roberto wäre sogar ein Toast mit Nutella dort ein Gaumenschmaus, was jetzt nicht das fantastische Essen schmälern soll, sondern lediglich den unglaublichen Service von Roberto unterstreicht. Natürlich muss ich einmal schimpfen - ich hatte mich seit einer Woche auf Creme Brulee gefreut. Es war nichts mehr da :( Anscheinend wissen wohl schon mehre Gäste das es nicht so vergleichbares gibt. Einfach ein Dessert der Extraklasse und noch nie so gut woanders gewesen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und ich freue mich jedesmal mal weitere Personen aus unserem Bekanntenkreis eine Empfehlung für Giovanni und sein Team auszusprechen. Wir lieben italienisches Essen und guten Wein! Eine kleine, aber feine saisonale Speisekarte und hervorragende Weinempfehlungen haben hier bisher jeden unserer Besuche in einen besonderen Abend verwandelt. Davon überzeugt sich übrigens auch der Chef persönlich, indem er zu vorgerückter Stunde die Küche verlässt, von seinen Gästen Applaus erntet und man spürt - es war ihm eine Ehre!

Wir waren gestern zu einer familienfeier in diesem Lokal und wurden ausgesprochen freundlich und herzlich bedient!! Das Essen war super, der Service nochmal besser!! Sehr zu empfehlen!!!

Gestern war ich zum ersten Mal im Casa Lodato, da mein bester Freund so von diesem Lokal schwärmt. 😊 Anlässlich unseres 30. Geburtstag haben wir uns für das Menü entschieden. Sowohl vom Essen als auch vom Service bin ich mehr als begeistert. Ein familiäres Ambiente mit netten Gesprächen zwischen den einzelnen Gängen haben mir den Abend zusätzlich versüßt. Ich kann das Lokal jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen. 🥰 Dank der Weinempfehlung haben ich jetzt auch einen neuen Lieblingswein.
