We were a group in the next room, which was very loud - no acoustic elements. Unfortunately there was no gluten-free pasta. But the seafood salad and capaccio were good. Very friendly family service.

The best trattoria I've eaten in so far. Super tasty Tagliatelle Gamberetti, perfect service. We were there as a group of 12 people and felt absolutely comfortable.

Waiting time for the food was ok. The rump steak was quite well done, but the menu was good overall. The kitchen was closed at 10 p.m. and so no dessert was possible after dinner. It's a shame, it could have been said.

Super tasty pasta and the pizzas are also a dream. There is also only a deduction for the ambience because the shop is unfortunately right on a main street and the owners have just hung up lamps. BUT: that doesn't detract from the food. It was super tasty, we will come back ;-)

The two of us were in Essen for a sporting event and wanted to have an Italian lunch near the main train station. We discovered Trattoria La Famiglia right on a busy main road. Since we didn't want to sit outside in the small outdoor area right on the sidewalk and street, we took a seat in the restaurant. The restaurant offers only a few seats compared to other restaurants, but this has a certain charm, which is further enhanced by the very attentive service and the furnishings with attention to detail (e.g. a real red rose in the vase on every table). The menu offers everything you would expect in an Italian restaurant (fish, pizza, pasta, starters, sweets). We chose the tortellini with ham and cream sauce with ham, tomato penne with chicken and bruschetta as a starter, a bottle of St. Pellegrino and an iced tea. We were really pleasantly and positively surprised at the prices. The starter was 6.50 euros and our main courses were 10-12 euros, and that's in today's times. The food was served fresh and warm and tasted really delicious. The quality of the food used was okay and in keeping with the price. The restaurant doesn't promise "upscale" Italian cuisine, but rather honest, tasty and good food. The sauce on the tortellini was a bit over-seasoned, but that only spoiled the overall impression. Nevertheless, we deducted a star here. There was also a deduction for the location of the outdoor spaces. In total we only paid just under 40 euros, which is a great price for the food and the feeling of being welcomed as a guest. The great service, the price-performance ratio and the great atmosphere should therefore justify a five star rating despite the small deductions in the categories mentioned. We really liked it, try it, you won't be disappointed. For us, Trattoria La Famiglia is a little insider tip, as we wouldn't have been able to find our way here from outside/the street side. We would definitely have missed something nice.

We went here coz its the closest restaurant, its one of those restaurants that you come in once and never come back. We had a tuna salad which is bland basically had balsamic vinegar and then things thrown tad SALAD, pasta was well cooked but the flavor is not there, pizza was nice but soo „watery“, felt like just everything was thrown together and tada! PIZZA, pizza bread was good actually. Server was really nice. Ice tea is store bought icef tea anf poor into a glass.

Looks very inconspicuous from the outside. But the reviews speak for themselves. The food was delicious and you didn't have to wait long for it. Service person was super nice. Portions were large, unfortunately there was no room left for a tiramisu. Gladly again. :)

We stayed overnight at the nearby Ghotel and decided to stop at this trattoria on a whim. A perfect decision!!!🤗 Service was a dream, the service was alone, super fast and always a warm smile on her face! The food (we had pasta and salad) was super tasty. The dishes were on the table in no time. Many a fast food restaurant can learn a lesson from this! If we lived in Essen, this would be our favorite restaurant. Since we often commute to the Ruhr area, we will come back. Also because of the tiramisu.😉

A hopeless place. I ordered gnocchi in tomato sauce with mozzarella and basil, which had nothing to do with Italian food. The tomato sauce was some kind of puree with cream, and the basil was chopped parsley and one basil leaf. I definitely do not recommend it. There were no guests except us. Instead of cleaning the lamps, the staff sat outside under an umbrella. Only the pizza with arugula and Parma ham was ok.

There were two of us there and we each had cannelloni spinaci, i.e. two tube pasta filled with spinach and gratinated with cheese. There were no table settings, so no pizza rolls or anything like that. The cheese was used very sparingly, the spinach was seasoned but overall very bland, the cream sauce simply lacked spice and cheese. The cannelloni cost 14 euros per serving, which is very sporty for such a very simple dish. Not even my companion, who usually leaves a lot left over, was full. Luckily we had a coupon from the voucher book, which made it a little more bearable. But the service was very friendly and did a good job. The price of the drinks (in our case a bottle of ST. Pellegrino 0.7l) at 5.50 euros is very fair by today's standards.

Every year for the last three years there has been great (palate) delight at Trattoria La Famiglia! We come as a larger group (10-15 people) as part of our trade fair and other events. The host family is simply honest, open, friendly and accommodating. Everyone will find something on the menu and special requests are always fulfilled. Plus a good price-performance ratio. We simply feel comfortable and would love to come back! Thanks to the great team!!!

The shop is really cute, the man with the white shirt and the lady who work in service were very friendly. Unfortunately, though The pizza was a complete disaster, it was so wobbly in the middle that it fell off on its own. We ate them anyway because we were so hungry and had come from a long trip, and the store was just before closing time, so we didn't say anything. Normally a pizza has to be slightly crispy, but unfortunately it was as if the base of the pizza hadn't been baked.

The trattoria is a small, cozy restaurant. The service is pleasantly quick and very friendly. The pizza and especially the panna cotta are among the best I've had recently. The prices are very fair considering the quality offered.

Really great Valentine's Day dinner. The wine was wonderful and the service was great. We had the seafood and prawn special of the day and the spinach and ricotta ravioli. The portions were huge and really good value. Would recommend it 100%!

А после того как этот отзыв прочитал хозяин заведения, он пришёл ко мне за столик и предъявил претензии. Больше не вернусь никогда.

Angelockt durch die guten Bewertungen dachten wir von außen zunächst, einen Fehler gemacht zu haben. Jedoch handelt es sich hier um einen echten Geheimtipp. Klein aber fein bekommt man in diesem echten Familienrestaurant wirklich richtig gutes italienisches Essen zu sehr fairen Preisen bei einem tollen und herzlichen Service serviert. Tolle Pizzen, leckere Spaghetti mit Tomatensauce, richtig leckere Salate und dann noch umwerfende Milchshakes. Und der Espresso ist hervorragend. Und die Atmosphäre, wenn man erst einmal drinnen ist, ist sehr gemütlich. Selbst direkt neben der Tür sitzend muss man nicht frieren, abgesehen davon dass einen schon allein vom Essen warm ums Herz wird. Da es hier nur wenige Plätze gibt, sollte man unbedingt vorher reservieren. Unbedingter Tipp, auch für Familien mit Kindern.

Wir haben in der Nähe im Hotel übernachtet und suchten ein schnelles Abendessen. Vor Ort haben wir zu dritt den letzten freien Tisch bekommen gegen 20 Uhr an einem Montag. Der Gastraum ist sehr klein, sodass sich auf jeden Fall eine Reservierung lohnt. Es spricht natürlich dafür das das Essen sehr lecker ist wenn es so voll ist. Und so war es auch. Wir waren positiv überrascht über die gute Küche. Und auf Sonderwünsche für unseren Sohn wurde auch eingegangen. Wirklich sehr leckeres Erdbeereis. Wirklich toller Service durch die nette junge Kellnerin. Von außen sieht es nicht so einladend aus wenn man vorbei fährt, aber innen wirklich tolle gemütliche Atmosphäre. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und sehr gut gespeist. Wir kommen wieder! Absolut verdiente 5 Sterne!!!

Die Pizzen sind nicht mehr als durchschnittlich. Die Auflage auf der Pizza della Casa war ein Sammelsurium von allem was die Küche hergegeben hat - Salami, Schinken, Paprika, Krabben, Brokkoli, Spinat, Zwiebeln und Oliven. So ein Durcheinander erwartet man auf einer Pizza einfach nicht. Das Caprese war lieblos angerichtet. Eine Tomate und einfachster Mozzarella aufgeschnitten mit etwas Olivenöl und Balsamico- Creme. Dafür muss man nicht ins Restaurant. Der Service war nett. Alles in allem würde ich nicht wiederkommen.

Pizza buona anche se un po' salata. Forno non credo a legna quindi la pizza è più più simile a quella fatta in casa ma comunque buona la cottura. Buono il servizio. Non ho avuto modo di provare i primi ma alla vista mi sembrano decisamente più grandi delle tipiche porzioni italiane così come i calici di vino. Probabilmente se avrò la possibilità di tornarci proveró più i primi che la pizza.

又是一家每年來參展都會吃的一家店 義大利老闆非常熱情的介紹給我們好吃的餐點，每年都可以從他的肢體動作感受到他對我們這些異國觀光客的歡迎。 店內供應的義大利麵、義大利餃、披薩種類繁多，我自己覺得經典的紅醬Bolognese，或是白醬Carbonara都很好吃。不過要注意的是店家給的份量很大，這當然是好事不過吃到後面味道會比較重複，可能會有吃膩的狀況。 所以我蠻推薦一群人一起來，可以互相交換口味吃，或是真的怕膩的話，改點清炒類型的也是不錯的選擇。 價格可說非常實惠，這家比起Farina我覺得麵更便宜又好吃，但Farina的甜點厲害許多 今年麵一上桌就開吃忘記拍照了，明年再來參展的時候再補上吧

Leckeres, authentisches Essen, frisch gekocht zu fairen Preisen. Service und Küche sind auch sehr nett. Auch zum Mittagstisch richtig gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein tolles, italienisches Restaurant in zentraler Lage, hat auch am Montag geöffnet. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, leckere Pizzen und Pastas und ein freundlicher Service. Das Restaurant war gut besucht, wir fanden auch ohne Reservierung gleich einen Platz. Gerne wieder, klare Empfehlung.

Die Pizzabrötchen waren wirklich gut. Die Pasta ... war halt Fertigpasta. Sämtlich Komponenten meiner Tortellini mit Schinken-Sahnesoße waren Fertigprodukte und ziemlich salzig. Bis auf die Artischocken - die waren zu sauer, da einfach aus dem Glas genommen und in die Soße gerührt. Hat geschmacklich überhaupt nicht gepasst. Genauso wie die Tatsache dass Cola im Weinglas serviert wurde. Ich habe jetzt nicht viel erwartet, aber bei meinem Gericht hätte man sich wirklich null Mühe gegeben. Ich empfehle lieber Pizza zu bestellen!

Sehr leckeres Essen, hatten Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, die perfekt gewürzt waren, mit frischen Kräutern, ausreichend Salz und einer tollen leichten Schärfe. Der Service ist sehr angenehm, hier kann man sich wohl fühlen. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Leider mussten wir mehrfach rein gehen um zu bestellen. Abends wird man im Außenbereich leicht übersehen. Aber das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit.
