Caravan - Usbekisches Restaurant in Frankfurt am Main

I am absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere is unique - with traditional decoration and typical music. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We tried many different dishes, including a dessert, but I was particularly impressed by the lamb skewer: it was actually served on a shish kebab skewer, the portion was huge and there was a delicious salad and side dish with it. A great surprise! All dishes were served in traditional tableware which made the experience even more authentic. I was completely satisfied - great food, great atmosphere, great service. I will definitely come back and can only recommend the restaurant!

Highly recommended! Staff is friendly and attentive, the food is very tasty, everything is freshly prepared salads, soup, chebureki, shish kebab. We also tried something new for us- vegetarian Honim, it is very tasty. I'm particularly happy about the vegetarian option, as everyone can choose something for themselves and no one leaves this restaurant hungry! Atmosphere is nice too.

Our experience at this restaurant was truly terrifying. The waiter, a man, very unfriendly, already underground. We ordered four dishes but they were canceled. Because we wanted to move from the two-person table at the Baar (loudly) to a four-person table at the window. The waiter says either we stay at the table of two or we can leave. For him it's about the principle. And then he said he didn't want to serve us anymore. I felt sorry for the lady from the kitchen (boss?) because she said the food had already been prepared, but the waiter didn't want to serve us. At the end he says, “If I wasn't on duty right now, I would react completely differently,” including a threat at the end. And just because of a table? In a completely empty store? I really can't recommend you, even if the food might be good. But the service is part of it.

A culinary experience in a class of its own! From start to finish our visit to the caravan was simply perfect. As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt the pleasant, stylish atmosphere. The food was an absolute highlight: every course was not only beautifully prepared, but also a real masterpiece in terms of taste. The service also left nothing to be desired: attentive, friendly and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. You can feel that great value is placed on the well-being of the guests here. It was also very dog ​​friendly. In summary: A fantastic restaurant that impresses on every level. We will definitely come back and can warmly recommend it!

The food tasted really good and the portions were sufficient. The taste is particularly noteworthy - there is nothing to complain about here. However, the prices are simply too high for what is on offer. Two small somsa as a starter for just under 11 euros and a simple chicken dish for 26 euros seem excessive. The ambience is simple and rather functional. For a restaurant that charges such prices, one would wish for a somewhat cozier and higher quality ambience. Overall, good food, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio isn't right.

I recently visited the Caravan restaurant for the first time and had a really pleasant evening. As soon as you walk in, everything seems inviting and well thought out - you can tell that a lot of attention is paid to the atmosphere and details. The food was delicious and the service was good too. The waiter Darius was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Everything went relaxed and smoothly. I would definitely go there again and recommend the restaurant.

Service was not so good. Waiter WAS SO SLOW abd he didn't know what they have in thos cafe(it isn't a restaurant). There is no variant to pay with credit card. Food were like uzbek but uzbek. Only plow was correct.

Phew,,,, ordered pilaf and manti. The pilaf was more or less tasty, and the manti contained not meat but cartilage and veins. Not cooked properly. The service is also terrible. We ordered a cola and it arrived in 40 minutes. Before eating, the glass is already open and poured. It is not known what was opened and poured. And when it stood for about 40 minutes, the gas went away. It was getting warm. I didn't like it. I won't go there again.

They called in advance to reserve a seat, BUT in the end they didn’t even write down the last name and didn’t specify the landing location. -They don’t speak English, Russian or Uzbek. It’s amazing who cooks Uzbek dishes! -No dishes from the tandoor, no flatbread and samsa from the tandoor ((((we really hoped for their availability -The waiter is not friendly and does a poor job. He brought the menu when we asked him to start moving. He doesn’t know what’s in the kitchen, he went to find out when we told him. He’s definitely not in the right place, he doesn’t like this job. -The name of the restaurant is not true, in fact it is an ordinary cafe. -The dishes are cheap and simple. There is not enough space, the music is not interesting. There is only one tapchan. We didn't leave hungry, but it tastes better in Uzbekistan. Tourists are not so interested in visiting Uzbekistan. On the contrary((( -----In the end, it turned out that it was impossible to pay by card, although there is a card payment icon at the entrance. I had to look for ATM. And they decided that the waiter didn’t deserve a tip! We won't come there again.

Making guests wait for over an hour despite a reservation is simply not okay. Price for portions not justified. A tip is not to use the same spice for almost all dishes. The furnishings are great! Parking situation, well...which is completely normal for Frankfurt.

Terrible service - absolutely disappointing I visited Restaurant Karawan in the evening, about 1 hour and 30 minutes before closing time. Although almost all tables were free and no other guests came, we were seated right next to the toilet. I politely asked to be moved to another table but was refused without any explanation. This kind of treatment of guests is completely unacceptable. Instead of oriental hospitality there was only coldness, disinterest and a lack of respect. You didn't feel welcome, but rather like a burden. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. The service is poor, the staff unfriendly. I definitely won't be coming back.

The restaurant is far too small for so many tables. There were 6 of us and we all had different dishes, and they all tasted too much like caraway seeds. The cheek is that the cake (€8.90 per piece) is from the Russian shop and there it costs €15. We will never visit this restaurant again. That's the opinion of all 6 people.

Darius was a very nice waiter and provided us with first class service. The food was very tasty. I can recommend the carrot salad and the lamb. I'll be back. Thank you very much

We spent a wonderful evening in the Caravan restaurant. A reservation, especially on weekends, is definitely recommended as there are only limited seats. The menu has just the right amount of dishes. The three of us decided on 2 starters and 3 main courses and were able to share them. Absolutely convincing in terms of taste and portion size and very authentic. Also very fair in terms of price. There is still a bit of room for improvement in terms of service, but we were served quickly at all times and there were no long waiting times for both drinks and food, despite the restaurant being full. An absolute recommendation and we would be happy to come back.

It was okay, nothing more, nothing less! Everything was done in a kind of careless way, to be honest, you can also get a meal like that at home. The service could also be a bit nicer! And in the end I wasn't even full and had to eat something else somewhere else.

Located somewhat hidden in a street parallel to Seckbacher Landstrasse, this Uzbek restaurant is an absolute recommendation! Not only is the food convincing, but also the ambience. Reservations are a good idea here.

We saw this place on social media and visited over the weekend. It is recommended to reserve a place. The welcome was friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very rustic. The order was taken on time. Unfortunately, by 8:30 p.m. many of the dishes were no longer available. The food we ordered was brought in a timely manner. We had somsa and chebureki as starters and for the main course we had plov and kazan kebab with chicken. A salad was served with it. The food was okay, but unfortunately not authentic. The basic ingredients may have been right, but the subtleties and special flavors of Uzbek cuisine were missing. Too bad. We liked the plov best. The service was attentive. Questions and suggestions were gratefully accepted. A nice restaurant and a little insight into the cuisine of Uzbekistan.

I really don't like giving bad reviews, but unfortunately the service is really bad. Our reservations were canceled twice shortly beforehand because they apparently made a mistake, and no solution was offered that we might be offered a reservation for another day. We were there once in person to just spontaneously check whether something was free and they were just super rude! I think the sound makes the music and unfortunately no effort is made. I think it's a shame. We would have loved to try out the store but after three attempts we lost interest.

I really thought everything was bad. Starting with the service, quality of the food and price performance. The borscht was basically hot water with a lot of oil. There were two sauces for all dishes, the bread was dry, the food was bland and I'd better not talk about the fries that are sold as fried potatoes. Carelessly prepared and small portion. I didn't even want to try the salad. Nothing really worked here, but for two without alcohol, it was 85 euros, without dessert

The only and best Central Asian Uzbek Restaurant in Frankfurt. The restaurant is tastefully furnished in traditional Uzbek attire, with one lovely shoes off tabled corner. But the greatest offering is the food served here. Personally my favourite is the Palov and soups on offer. A lovely hidden gem 💎 of a restaurant, refreshingly different from your average Italian or Thia restaurants.

We had 2 very nice evenings in this restaurant. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was okay. Very friendly staff, always attentive but never intrusive. When we are back in Frankfurt am Main, we will come by again.

We went here for dinner as we come from Uzbekistan ourselves! The food didn't disappoint :) Very tasty and authentic. The service and location are also optimal. I can only recommend it to anyone who wants to try Central Asian food!

The food is quite tasty, but the overall impression was mixed. Russian-language music plays in the restaurant, although the staff does not speak Russian. We came from the other side of the city, but unfortunately it wasn't worth it.

The food is super tasty, we ordered several dishes (4 main courses and 3 starters) and shared everything between 5 people - we were more than full. Very nice staff and the atmosphere really makes you feel like you are in Uzbekistan ☺️

We had a lovely evening here with really delicious food! Service was top and so was the quality/taste of the food. Highly recommended! Only the furnishings are a bit dark and could use a little pep. Due to a defective EC device, we only had to pay in cash.

Restaurant has a nice atmosphere and decoration with adequate interior sitting places. Food options are various enough. Portions are big. We ordered small portion plov and it is enough for one person. Caravan dessert was delicious and not too heavy. It is possible to find parking in the neighbourhood but chances are low.

Authenticity and high quality food. Ordered Kazan Kebap as a classic - incredibly tender lamb meat that simply falls apart in your mouth, a real pleasure in terms of taste. My compliments! A great change and experience.

Absolute no go! In addition, our reservation today was for 1.5 hours, so I definitely imagined my birthday dinner with friends differently. The food tasted good, but we found the portions to be too small. A skewer of shish kebab with a small portion of rice or fried potatoes and a small salad. Unfortunately, none of us were full. You would have to order an appetizer and probably a dessert to fill you up. We then went to another restaurant to get our fill. 🤷‍♀️ For us it was very disappointing. Too bad.

Auf der Website hat es weder die Getränkeangebote noch Bezahlmöglichkeiten. Ansonsten mal eine andere Küche, eine andere Atmosphäre. Das Servierte war durchgängig lecker. Der Service nicht schnell, aber freundlich.

Very good ambience, a bit dark but it's all fine. The service was quite quick and responded well to special requests. For food: we had the pelmeni, pilov and this plate of pickled cucumbers. Conclusion, consistently 10/10. The pickles were a bit pricey, but tasty enough not to get upset about. EVERYTHING is homemade and you can see and taste it.
