We like Mexican food, but I haven't eaten Mexican food anywhere as good as here. I ate here for the first time in February 2024 during the Whiskey Spring Messe. Immediately every 2 evenings 🥳. When I got home, I immediately told my husband that we had to go here again. No sooner said than done👍🏻👍🏻. I have now had dinner with my husband and he absolutely loves it too. Great atmosphere, clean and super tasty food. In the evening the music is a bit loud and if you don't like this music, you are out of luck, you will miss the best Mexican food ever.

Great location on Schlossplatz. Service was friendly and quick and the homemade guacamole was brilliant. Prices were great. We'd be happy to come back.

Good food - even if I'm a bit too stupid to eat it.

We were there on a Sunday evening and sat outside. The ambience was pleasant and although it was busy, the service was always quick and friendly. The food was delicious and was at the table super quickly. In many Mexican restaurants the selection is the same and it tastes similar. Nevertheless, we found everything very tasty! The desserts were also impressive. It was also happy hour, so all cocktails only cost €4. Overall, the visit was very positive and we would like to come back. Unfortunately you can only pay in cash.

Great atmosphere in nice weather in a beautiful place. Service normal, nothing special. The food was Mexican food on a completely normal level, but presented somehow carelessly. One burrito had half a cup of rice that was totally overcooked and far too little as a side dish. In other Mexican restaurants you at least get a small salad with it. With the chicken wings, which are advertised with a special sauce, you get absolutely normal wings. But here too the quantity for the price is very unsatisfactory. You get 8 half and very small wings, which actually means there are only 4 in total. Plus a handful of fries. We also drank a large and a small beer. In total around 45 euros for the whole thing. It's actually crazy what you can now get for such an amount. Unfortunately, this is now a reality in DE. But in many restaurants the portions are getting smaller and the price is rising. In my opinion this is no longer justified.

Very tasty food and great drinks, as well as very committed waitresses; Not so good: No payment with EC card possible, no separation with smoking area tables, as these are sometimes quite narrow, as a non-smoker you will be filled with smoke while eating by guests enjoying long drinks (even outside). Both of these could be remedied without much effort, then it's 5 stars. Go before 7:00 p.m. otherwise everything is full

We were there for 2 glasses of wine after an event. Although there was nothing going on there after midnight, we were ignored for a long time by the many waitresses. It's nice to sit there in a large square with a view of the castle. The wine was fine.

We had dinner there yesterday. The restaurant is nicely located and the cocktails on offer were good. However, the food wasn't worth the price. After ordering, it arrived at our table suspiciously quickly and unfortunately didn't taste particularly good. I wouldn't necessarily come back for the food, the drinks are okay. I also find it pretty cheeky that you can only pay with cash.

It was very busy, so the waiting time was longer. Service was OK, could be more accommodating. Food very spicy but great portions 👍 Cocktail only in a small normal glass, which was a bit of a shame. No card payment possible! If you sit outside you really have a nice view of the castle 🫶

2 stars, unfortunately I can't give more. Unfortunately there were shards of glass in our food. As I chewed, I wondered where the “crunch” came from… Upon closer inspection, it was green glass that had found its way into our food. It's bad enough that something like this happens, but the reaction of the "rehearsal management" that evening was the real thing that left me speechless. After the food was returned, after a few minutes our waitress came to the table with the offer that we could have a new meal and a round of drinks on the house. We then kindly made it clear that we would definitely not pay for the food. This had to be clarified with the “boss”, when our waitress came back she said she couldn’t cancel the meal. We then asked her to please bring her boss to the table with us. What happened next was, in my opinion, the most embarrassing reaction that could come... the “boss” was sitting in front of the entrance and comfortably smoking a cigarette. When our waitress approached him with our request, he shrugged his shoulders, put out his cigarette and disappeared into the restaurant. The waitress came back to our table and told us that the meal would be canceled. After, initially, no one at our table had any further requests, we were avoided by any waitress, so we actually stayed for an hour without asking whether one of us 6 adults would like something to drink... My expectation of the “management” would have been to come straight to the table, apologize, cancel the meal and get a round of drinks on the house. Not sending a team member forward and disappearing into the restaurant was, in my opinion, the stupidest and most embarrassing reaction you could expect from a “boss”. In fairness, the other dishes at our table were delicious.

We reserved online for 8 people and were there on time, as it says on the website. When we got there we were told that you could only make a reservation inside, which wasn't stated online. We were then sent outside to wait, but people were also simply seated there without a reservation. Very unreliable and incredibly unfriendly. Advertise with it and don't keep it, just cheeky.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong. Our starter was simply forgotten. 3 of my friends had the same vegan dish, one of them came with sour cream, the other two had it without and one of the 3 had the food completely forgotten. I ordered a chicken burrito with fries instead of rice. I took a bite of my food and thought it tasted strange, it turns out it wasn't chicken but pork. I tell an employee, she didn't even bother with it and just looked at the system and said "that's a chicken burrito" as if I didn't know what I ordered STILL it was PORK. I then said to her that she should please take it with her because it doesn't taste like chicken. She then took it into the kitchen and then realized in better light that I was right and suddenly she apologized and didn't say a word about it beforehand. My food came out again this time it was a chicken burrito but this time my fries were missing 😂 I had previously ordered fries instead of rice. There were also 3 different employees who served us and NONE of them communicated with each other about what was going wrong at our table. We were charged as normal, there was no excuse NOTHING... there were also Muslims sitting at my table. Such a mistake shouldn't happen and if something like that happens, you DO NOT DISCUSS what is in the system with the guest.

Really very good Mexican food! Don't even know what to recommend 🤷‍♂️ From the burger to everything else (I've been there several times 😂) it just tastes fantastic!!! If you want a cocktail offer, you'd better come by taxi - they're serious 🤣🤣

A really nicely done restaurant with a great location. The selection, quality and prices of the dishes leave nothing to be desired and everything happens quite quickly. However, the service can't quite keep up, it could be more accommodating and nicer.

First on the positive side: the ambience is really great in the front area of ​​the restaurant. With our reservation they wanted to seat us at the back in the dark... and right next to the stairs to the toilet, even though almost everything at the front was free and not reserved. Then we implemented it. Unfortunately the chicken in the taccos was very cold. Only the rice was warm. The homemade nachos as a starter were not tasty, but in the Welde Brauhaus/Stammhaus they are much tastier. In addition, the guacamole was unfortunately quite tasteless: lime, salt and pepper were missing and the avocado was probably not fresh or ripe. Long Island was on sale for 4 euros, unfortunately it was more of a soft drink and had nothing to do with Long Island. The food looked very attractively presented on the plate and social media/videos motivated us to visit. Really good job.

Very bad...we ordered cocktail TNT, which is usually served with a sparkler. But it wasn't! When we asked 3 different (!!) service staff there was no response at all... the boss didn't respond either... in the end we still had to pay the full amount... so... very bad

Very competent, friendly, reasonable prices

I wanted my burger without cheese and when it came there was a lot of melted cheese on my burger. Now I have a stomach ache!!!!

I ordered a vegetarian enchilada for €17.40 and was honestly disturbed. The guacamole was supposedly mixed with the refried beans in the vegan minced meat, but all that was tasted was tomato sauce. There was also ready-made rice with frozen vegetables and I also found a hair in the food. Absolutely advise against it!

Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the waiting time of over an hour and a half. Both dishes were missing both guacamole and refried beans. The compensation we received didn't improve the overall impression either. It was my first time there and it was definitely the last time

(UPDATED) I came here for the first time 2 years ago, and somehow i didn’t manage to come back here til now. I must say the place has its own ambience, its located directly next to the Schwetzingen Schloss, so you must see a lot of local tourists here. They have plenty of tables outside and inside, so don‘t worry about not getting any place. The service is quite slow, maybe because it‘s a mexican restaurant? I don‘t really know😂 We waited for 10 minutes to got the menu, and another 10-15 minutes to finally able to order. But the foods came faster than we thought. So it was then okay. We had the mixed platter as appetizers, it was too small for 14,50€ tbh. I had Tacos con Pulled Pork (7,8/10) was okay, had better ones. Was somehow too wet, maybe they put too much sauce from the pulled pork, but taste was okay. My friend had Fajita (8/10) well as always, huge portion, meat and sauce i liked this one better. Their cocktails are great, i can‘t lie. Either i expect too much, or they are just lowering their quality, i have to give them another chance and try other foods, maybe. P.S THEY ONLY TAKE CASH!

Unfortunately, my visit to Cantina Mexicana was a huge disappointment. Despite the promising menu and the appealing ambience, the service left a lot to be desired. I waited over an hour for my drinks, even after asking and ordering a second time. It is incomprehensible and unacceptable that such a basic service could not be provided. Unfortunately, this experience had a negative impact on the evening for me and my companion. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback to heart and improves customer service, because the potential for a fantastic dining experience is definitely there.

Really dark inside in the evening. The tables are way too close together. Therefore, unfortunately no privacy when eating and chatting We had enchiladas. They were gratinated with cheese, but the baking dish was cold. The food was really hot on the outside, but the minced meat inside was lukewarm at best. Now everyone can decide for themselves how the food was made... The taste was ok, but we won't be coming back.

Leckeres Essen, schnelle Abfertigung, schöne Atmosphäre, nettes Personal. Die Portionen sind recht groß, sodass man auf eine Vorspeise gerne verzichtet kann. Reservierung ging problemlos. Das einzige, was man anmerken muss, dass die Bezahlung nur mit Bar möglich ist. Es steht aber auf dem Deckblatt der Karte.

Super Service heute Abend! Habe selten so jemand freundliches und ruhiges erlebt obwohl der Laden komplett voll war.

Nettes Personal, schönes Ambiente und das Essen war auch lecker. Hier kann man gut hinkommen wenn man in Schwetzingen ist. Ich war hier geschäftlich und es lief alles reibungslos. Kartenzahlung solltet ihr auf jeden fall in der heutigen Zeit einführen auch wenn es vielleicht mit Kosten verbunden ist aber bares ist wahres. ;)

Pulled pork burrito sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort. Zentrale Lage, allerdings waren wir sehr überrascht, dass man an so einem stark frequentierten Standort nur bar zahlen kann, dafür Abzug. Leider waren die Portionen dem Preis nicht entsprechend, für 15.90 waren drei kleine Tacos eher in Größe einer Vorspeise. Gut ist, dass es Für alle Gerichte Walnusshack als vegetarische Alternative gibt. Es ist sehr dunkel in diesem Restaurant.

Das Essen ist richtig lecker! Vor allem kann ich den Sabrosa Salat oder, wer es deftiger mag, den Sweet & Dirty Burger empfehlen! Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar und am besten kommt man noch von Sonntag bis Donnerstag um die Happy Hour ab 18 Uhr zu feiern. Tolles Lokal und das Personal ist auch immer zuvorkommend und freundlich!
