Nice location right on the Rhine. Seasonal menu with chanterelles and herring - both very tasty. The chicken curry is also recommended.

The food is rather simple, but everything is prepared quite well. Service is sometimes a bit slow, but always friendly. Great location right on the Rhine. A nice destination. There is also a self-service beer garden right next door.

The charm of yesterday! Very pleasant, relaxed family business with impeccable food and personal service. The largely classic food, which is not overpriced for the top location on Rein, always offers nice special features during the theme weeks. We already have there e.g. B. ate delicious pasta with fried asparagus. Our recommendation, or a highlight throughout: the blueberry pancakes! Also not to be underestimated is the spacious parking lot directly next to the restaurant, which also makes it accessible for seniors with limited mobility. We really enjoy coming there!

Nice restaurant with delicious food! However, the staff is very sleepy and you need at least 1:45 hours for a visit.

I can't judge the restaurant and the food because we only drank a beer in the small beer garden with a self-service beer cart. But the beer was well tapped and the employee behind the counter was very friendly and the location on the Rhine with the view is simply beautiful. Plus, self-service makes everything so uncomplicated. We always like to stop here when we are out on our bikes and the beer garden is open

No service or service in the beer garden?! 2 tables were occupied by guests, the rest were not dry and even though we waited longer and were seen from inside, no one bothered to take care of us and the wet chairs and tables. Won't try again!

From Linz to Bonn, the asparagus tastes best here (I tested it 6 times in different inns). I also ate there several times at other times of the year, good home-style, varied cuisine. We'll be back.

The food is inedible. !!!!! We made the staff aware that the fish tasted bitter and inedible. We gave the food back. We were then informed that the kitchen would no longer cook for us. Less than 3 hours later my husband was at home with a fever, diarrhea and vomiting. It turned out he had fish poisoning 😡 We will never come back!!!!!!!😡

Without great expectations - a restaurant with German cuisine. But then I was very positively surprised by the quality of the food. Rarely have I had such good roast beef and the other dishes were also very well crafted. Nice change from the “packaged meals” you usually get. Kudos to the kitchen!

Long-established restaurant directly on the Rhine. We were extremely satisfied with our asparagus with pork fillet. The meat was well cooked and juicy and the asparagus was also perfectly prepared. Friendly service and a nice outdoor terrace with a view of the Rhine.

A traditional Bonn house where the whole family works. The food is typical Rhenish cuisine and the junior boss cooks himself. Price-performance is appropriate. The service is very nice and attentive. The view, especially at sunset, is worth a visit. In summer, the large terrace and beer garden attract many tourists and especially cyclists.

On Friday (March 15th) the four of us were at the Federal House to enjoy the “Canadian Weeks” once again. We had the salmon fillet “Inuit” and the elk steak “Ontario”. Those who ordered the fish were extremely happy with the taste, quantity and presentation on the plate. I had the elk steak. The size was perfect, well cooked; the sweet potato fries were a good counterpoint to the delicious sauce; and the corn on the cob is simply delicious. It goes without saying that the service was to our satisfaction in the Bundeshäuschen.

We were there for the first time and will definitely come back. Delicious food, great view & cozy atmosphere and very friendly service. Our recommendation!!!

Long waiting time, unfriendly waiter.

On the occasion of the "Canadian Weeks" I came here with friends and ordered elk steak with sweet potato fries, instead of vegetables with a side salad for €37.20. When the plate was brought, it was extremely clear: a relatively small steak (estimated at 150g) and well-browned sweet potato fries.. The side salad and fries were fine The elk steak was raw inside and quite tough, so I sent it back to the kitchen with a request for change. When the same plate was brought back to the table, the fries were even darker and the steak inside was still raw and tough. In response to my criticism and my comment that I didn't want to pay for it in full, I was told that the steak couldn't be cooked any further, then it would just get tougher and that I have to pay in full - no one has complained yet. Coffee was not offered as a courtesy. At this price I paid for my food and left it, I am very disappointed in the service and handling of this situation. There's only one consequence...

Charming, the furnishings are a bit “out of date” and a beautiful view. Generally friendly service. Coffee and cappuccino and chilled drinks were always good... my personal favorite is the rhubarb spritzer. The food on our last visit was actually quite good or okay in 2 out of 3 dishes (which in the end is always a matter of taste) - but we found it a bit disappointing considering the prices quoted. The fact that our friend was served a tough but still raw elk steak - even after the kitchen had "remedied" it - was not possible at all in my opinion. As an amateur cook, I would have suspected that the meat came too cold (basically straight from the fridge) into a very hot pan... 🤷‍♀️ Elk is certainly a bit more demanding to prepare (meat thermometer or the chosen cooking method can help), but it is definitely doable. I already had medium elk steak on my plate, which wasn't tough at all... Personally, I find raw meat to be hygienically questionable. Of course, things can always go wrong in the catering industry. However, what we found particularly disappointing was the hotel's shrugging "complaint management".

The Federal House was a surprise for us. We didn't expect such good home cooking. It's also positive that the kitchen stays open longer. The service is very friendly, some of it jovial, which is also very nice. From the outside it is inconspicuous, but in terms of character it is old-fashioned. If you don't mind that, you can expect solid warm cuisine, a very good cake buffet and a small beer garden in a great location on the right bank of the Rhine.

Pleasant and stylish restaurant or café. Anyone who wants to meet Rhenish veterans here will meet them. The reception was rough but it gradually settled down. The service was super friendly. The coffee, as it should be, nice and hot and delicious. The A-Schorle, I don't know whether it was a ready-made mix or home-made, was very drinkable. Really good. The selection of cakes was also great, but unfortunately I didn't get the freshest one - they were the last pieces, which in turn means that it's very good when it's fresh☺️ Certainly a top address in summer.

Für uns jedesmal ein Muss, wenn wir in Bonn sind. Toller Service, leckeres Essen, direkter Blick auf den Rhein. Seniorenteller sind tatsächlich kleiner 😍. Zahlung Bar und mit Karte möglich, leider nicht barrierefrei, daher ein Stern weniger beim Ambiente. Parken direkt vor der Tür möglich, allerding muss man durch eine sehr niedrige und Enge Unterführung fahren.

Wir hatten eine ganz spontane Einkehr. Alle 3 Personen nahmen eine Suppe und waren begeistert. Oooooo-Ton ES SCHMECKT WIE BEI MUTTERN ZU HAUSE!!! Die Kürbissuppe ( meine) war einfach genial!

Obwohl wir ewig warten mussten, bis wir endlich bedient wurden, hat es mir sehr gut gefallen. Es war unglaublich viel los, da es wohl der letzte Tag mit sommerlichen Temperaturen im Herbst war. Die Bedienungen waren nur am Rennen aber trotzdem nicht genervt und freundlich. Werde wohl wieder hingehen, aber wenn nicht so viel Betrieb ist.

Gutes Essen, schönes Ambiente, tolle Aussicht und vor allem auch gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Angemessene Preise. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Wir haben schnell einen Tisch gefunden. Der Biergarten ist schön mit einem Ausblick auf den Rhein. Innen ist es eher wie eine Kneipe ausgebaut und die Toiletten sind älter. Die Suppe war leider versalzen. Es wird Hausmannskost angeboten.

Wunderschöner Ausblick, Essen sehr lecker, freundliche Bedienung. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Immer wieder schön dort einzukehren. Ganz besonders heute bei Traumwetter und dem wunderbaren Ausblick.

Außenbereich ungepflegt und Mobiliar etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Essen war gut dauerte aber sehr lange obwohl noch nichts los war. Service freundlich. Für einen Zwischenstop ganz ok.

Ein schönes Plätzchen egal ob zum Essen, Kaffee und Kuchen oder einfach nur ein leckeres Eis in der Sonne.

Leckeres rheinischen Essen zur Zeit!

Schön am Rhein gelegen. Leider entgegen der Website so gut wie kein Essen für Vegetarier. Wir sind wieder gegangen.

Wir haben unseren diesjährigen Betriebsausflug hier "ausklingen" lassen. Das Essen war großartig. Und wir fühlten uns hier sehr wohl.

Ich habe dort mit Familie und Freunden (23 Pers.) meinen 60. Geburtstag gefeiert. Es hat alles gepasst. Die Vorbereitung, das Essen, der Service waren hervorragend. Auch die Kommunikation war sehr angenehm. Ich habe von meinen Gästen nur Lob erhalten. Einige haben gesagt, sie werden das Bundeshäuschen auf jeden Fall auch selbst noch einmal besuchen. Die Lage direkt am Rheinufer ist sensationell. Eine Einkehr hier lohnt sich immer.

War heute zum ersten aber mit Sicherheit nicht zum letzten Mal dort zum Essen. Ich hatte ein Schnitzel ‚ Schwarzwälder Art‘ und mein Frau einen Salat mit 6 Morarella Stangen. Alles war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet 👍👍👍 Das Lokal, Restaurant, Biergarten ist direkt am Rhein gelegen und man kann den Rhein genießen. Daher volle Punktzahl 👍👍👍😊😊😊

In all den Jahren, ist es immer schön hier einkehren zu können. Die herrliche Aussicht und die ruhige Lage, macht dies zu meinem beliebten Ausflugsziel. In diesen Tagen ein kühlendes Getränk oder einen leckeren Eisbecher sollte möglich sein. Eine immer nette, freundliche Bedienung tut sein übrigens. Die Qualität ist gut.

Wunderbarer Ort für einen Cafe mit Ausblick. Leckeres Essen. Der Pfannkuchen "Waldi" ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr schön direkt am Rheinufer/Radweg gelegen. Plätze drinnen und draußen. Freundliches Personal. Schnelle Bedienung. Der Rheinische Sauerbraten ist sehr zu empfehlen. Gerne wieder.

Zum Abschluss eines längeren Spaziergangs kehrten wir im Bundeshäuschen ein und fanden einen Platz auf der Terrasse mit tollem Ausblick auf den Rhein. Wir wurden recht schnell von einer Bedienung sehr freundlich empfangen und erhielten in angemessener Zeit unsere Getränke und die Speisen. Entschieden hatten wir uns für einen Salatteller mit Bratkartoffeln sowie ein Schwarzwälderschnitzel. Beides kam appetitlich angerichtet auf den Tisch und schmeckte hervorragend. Die Portionen waren ausreichend zu angenehmen Preisen. Auch ein Sonderwunsch wurde von der aufmerksamen und sympathischen Bedienung gerne erfüllt. Angeschlossen ist noch ein Biergarten mit Selbstbedienung, der aber wohl nicht permanent geöffnet ist. Parkplätze sind in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Alles in allem haben wir uns im Bundeshäuschen sehr wohlgefühlt, sodass wir sicher dort mal wieder einkehren werden.

Klassisches Ausflugslokal am Rhein. Das Ambiente atmet Bonner Republik. Tolle Aussicht auf den Rhein. Freundliches Personal, gutbürgerliche Karte und eine tolle Umsetzung derselben. Die Preise sind für die Lage der Restauration und die Qualität des Essens schon fast zu günstig. Ich empfehle den Waldbeer Pfannkuchen.

Tolles Essen, aber leider, auch in den Sommermonaten nur bis 20 Uhr geöffnet.

Überwiegend von Senioren besucht, aber eigentlich für jeden geeignet. Sehr leckeres Essen zu angemessen Preisen! Viel Hausmannskost, ich liebe es. Man kann auch einfach nur etwas trinken oder Getränke oder Eis auf die Hand mitnehmen. Obendrauf kommen die extrem tolle Aussicht auf den Rhein und die freundlichen Mitarbeiter.
