We've now ordered goose legs and breast with dumplings and red cabbage to go for the second time. The portion size is great and the taste is absolutely fantastic! Everything arrived ready-made and piping hot in a large thermal box. We're already looking forward to next time!

We've been regulars at Bundeshäuschen for over 10 years, and for good reason: Bundeshäuschen is a family-run restaurant right on the Rhine, with truly delicious food and drinks. The regular menu features tasty Rhineland dishes, as well as currywurst and fries. Delicious ice cream and fantastic cakes are an added bonus. I think everyone can find something here that they haven't had in ages or simply enjoy. Throughout the year, there's a special weekly menu with specialties, such as fish dishes during Carnival. Other themed weeks include Canadian Week, Viennese Week, plaice and asparagus, Pancake Week, Rhineland Week, Bavarian Week, and of course, goose specialties (also available for takeout and on Christmas Eve). There's also always a daily special. Everything is absolutely delicious, seasonal, and fresh! A huge thank you to the chefs! ... The Bundeshäuschen is always worth a visit, as its unique location on the Rhine makes it a special experience in summer, whether you're enjoying the terrace or the cozy interior (which is always decorated to reflect the weekly theme and the season)! What we believe truly sets it apart from other restaurants, however, is that the family and staff are wholeheartedly dedicated to the Bundeshäuschen. Despite many setbacks, the family has never given up. Every guest is treated with great kindness, and all wishes are fulfilled. Everyone has their heart in the right place! A very nice restaurant with a fantastic view of the Rhine. The chef and staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food and drinks were fantastic. The pork knuckles were very tender and generous. The side dishes were perfectly balanced and delicious. And the prices were reasonable. This certainly won't be the last time we're here.

The ambiance is very pleasant, with a great view of the Rhine. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Every request is fulfilled, if possible. The menu is extensive, and the food itself is excellent. I ate several dishes during the Bavarian week. Very plentiful. Especially the knuckle of pork dinner at the end of the culinary week. Overall, highly recommended.

An "old" Rhine restaurant that evokes very fond memories of the old Drosselgasse before it was discovered by world-famous tourists. The view of the Rhine and the boats passing by the table will whet your appetite for tomatoes. The dishes are contemporary and reasonably priced. They're currently offering "Bavarian Week" with white sausages, roast pork, meatloaf, and more. The approach isn't suitable for novice drivers, as the already extremely narrow passage under the railway is currently being further narrowed by a large, temporarily installed pipe. The advantage: The approximately 10 parking spaces are plenty.

Located on the Rhine, the café and restaurant 'Bundeshäusschen' not only has a beautiful location, but also an excellent menu. The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, mainly from local producers. You can taste it – from the schnitzel to the knuckle of pork to the salad. We'll be back!

We've been going to the Bundeshäuschen for years. The restaurant is right on the banks of the Rhine in Oberkassel. It's a very nice location. The interior is a bit dated. I think even a traditional restaurant could use a bit of a renovation. There's plenty of outdoor seating and, at certain times, a beer garden. The annual calendar with theme weeks is nice. There are also daily specials. There's plenty of variety. The food isn't top-notch. Here you'll find tasty regional Rhineland and international dishes. Four stars due to the good value. The service is always very friendly.

Very good food (large portions), super-friendly staff, and a stunning, front-row view of the Rhine. What more could you want? We've been here four days in a row and would love to come back. We had various hot dishes and cakes. We tried everything, and it was all great. The themed specials are fantastic. Good wines.

The Bundeshäuschen (Federal House) is beautifully situated on the Rhine, but the prices for food and drinks are far too high. A 0.1 glass of wine costs €5.50, and a Jägerschnitzel with salad costs €24.20. It's all pretty outrageous.

The staff is extremely attentive, and the kitchen serves excellent, home-style cooking. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would gladly return! Thank you again!

Here, you're eating with friends! The location overlooking the Rhine is pure relaxation. Regional, seasonal offerings round out the excellent menu. From wine to beer to non-alcoholic drinks, there's something for everyone. The beer garden is ideal for a short stop in the summer, especially on the way there and back. For a longer stay, you'll be completely pampered with culinary delights. Thanks to the fantastic team for the delicious treats and a wonderful time.

I was here last Sunday as a cyclist and would like to record my disappointment with a waiter who, when I politely asked if I could buy some power for my dead bike battery, actually claimed he didn't have a free outlet and didn't know how much to charge. Of course, the intention was to dine lavishly with two people and leave a larger tip. Although the food was good and the location with the view was fantastic, I will never eat there again.

No. Nobody wanted to serve me. After 20 minutes, I left.

The ambiance and service are a bit dated. The staff is often a bit lackluster. But: The blueberry pancakes are delicious.

We went out for lunch yesterday. UNFORTUNATELY! A Strammer Max: unbelievable €13.50. A cheap slice of bread, a cheap!!! slice of ham, and potato salad from a bucket: Conclusion: NO THANKS, NEVER AGAIN.

The food is homely, and so are the prices. The ambiance is a bit dated inside, but unbeatably beautiful outside: right on the Rhine with a view of the Bad Godesberg Rhine bank on the other side.

We went there for lunch, and each of our three dishes was absolutely delicious. The location is fantastic, right on the Rhine. It also seemed to be a popular meeting place for cyclists. The service was very friendly and quick. We'd love to go back soon.

If you love schnitzel, this is the place for you... but they can do so much more. The sun terrace with its perfect view of the Rhine is fantastic.

Beautifully situated directly on the Rhine opposite the UN Park and Carstanjen Castle, we, over thirty people, were served a delicious à la carte lunch after sparkling wine. I've never experienced anything like it before! No one complained! Everyone was very happy with the three nicely arranged tables and the friendly and very prompt service. I'm obviously glad that the chef returned safely. A successful pair of Opgenorth brothers! The Black Forest gateaux we ordered were also delicious, as were other baked goods. I heard from my invited friends and family: everything was great, including the shade provided by the large awnings. We'll be back soon!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolute disappointment – ​​never again! My wife and I visited Bonn today. After a stroll along the Rhine, we – unfortunately – decided on the Café Restaurant Bundeshäuschen. What followed was a culinary disaster with arrogant service to boot. Ordered: – Pork medallions (for my wife) – Hunter's schnitzel with fried potatoes & 2 fried eggs (for me) – Salad plate with fried potatoes – Bottle of water Experience: – Outdoor area: mostly retirees, atmosphere more like a retirement home than a restaurant – Food: – Pork medallions: okay, but nothing memorable – Fried potatoes: unloving, mushy, unseasoned – felt like a convenience store – Salad: bone dry, no dressing – like a bad joke – Hunter's schnitzel: This thing had probably been sitting around somewhere for half a day. The breading was sloppy, the meat was tough, and the mushroom sauce tasted like it came from a can. – Fried eggs: Like they'd come out of a microwave – unseasoned, whites hard, yolk lukewarm. – Extra bitter: First, the wrong side (fries instead of fried potatoes), then a long wait – and no apology. – And when the almost full schnitzel was returned? No question. No "Didn't you like it?" – just a quick check and goodbye. Conclusion: €75.60 for stale food, grumpy service, and the feeling of being ripped off. We've had better food at motorway service stations – and that says it all. This place is a tragedy and obviously lives off nothing other than its location on the Rhine. Tip: Walk a few hundred meters further – there you'll find honest food and people who love their jobs.

We at Camilla Care Service regularly visit the Bundeshäuschen, beautifully situated on the Rhine, with our seniors (often in small groups). The wonderful ambiance right on the Rhine alone is worth a visit. Rounded off by the excellent, traditional German cuisine and consistently cheerful staff, we at Camilla can highly recommend the restaurant (just for the good value for money).

Yesterday we had a delicious meal with six people. The price/performance ratio is really excellent for these times. The waiter was very friendly and humorous. We had a great time and will be back. Best wishes from Dortmund, Hattingen, and St. Augustin.

There weren't many dishes to choose from, and even then, not everything on offer was available. The taste was good. The portions, I have to say, could be larger. Service was very friendly. The cake was clearly frozen. It was ice cold inside and otherwise inedible. The covered apple pie, on the other hand, was okay.

As always, a good choice to eat when the weather is nice. Unfortunately, the shortage of personnel does not stop here either. But it's still bearable.

Salad, curry sausage and roast beef were good. But the pork fillet medallions were carelessly served with fries, too little sauce and only 3 leaves of lettuce... That doesn't fit the 27.60 euros... Otherwise, great view and friendly service...

Very nice location, but overall a little dated.

I can't rate the food because we haven't eaten yet. But we always like to have a drink there during our walks along the Rhine. The view is wonderful and the service is quick and very friendly.

We go, among other things, every year with a larger group we go to the federal house to see the maize clod. If we weren't satisfied, we would eat somewhere else. If someone wants something that isn't on the daily menu - in one case it was plaice Finkenwerder - that's no problem, and you'll just be asked politely what kind of potatoes (K'Salat, fried or boiled potatoes) you want. Drinks and food come quickly, the service is friendly, it tastes good - what more could you want. In addition, of course, there is the magnificent view. When the weather is nice it's nice to sit outside, but I also love this 60s interior. And considering that the restaurant is probably under water once a year, or at least gets its feet wet, hats off to you.

Always a culinary experience...... Today for “Canadian Week” been a guest... The salmon soup with sorrel was delicious, the Canadian salmon and also the king prawns were great!

Café-restaurant on the banks of the Rhine, ideal for a stop along the way whether you are cycling, walking or driving. They are very friendly and the typical German food is very delicious with generous portions. The decoration is characteristic of its time, it has its charm, everything is very clean, a very large terrace and good value for money. Highly recommended.

I give it a full 5 out of 5 stars. When we visited Bonn it was currently Bavarian Weeks in the Federal House, and it was implemented perfectly. You can also view all other topics in the annual calendar. The menu offers many delicious dishes. My wife and I were very satisfied. In addition, the service was very attentive and friendly. A little tip :-) If you have a window seat, you get a view of the wonderful Rhine. When we are in Bonn again, we will definitely come here again for dinner. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Pleasant atmosphere, great impressions of the river and everything that goes with it left and right. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Covid19 precautions are taken seriously. This is very calming. The food on offer is home-style, of good quality and tasty. (Insider tip: pea stew - very tasty!) The Bavarian season ticket is very tempting. The prices are still okay - keep it up!

The charm of yesterday! Very pleasant, relaxed family business with impeccable food and personal service. The largely classic food, which is not overpriced for the top location on Rein, always offers nice special features during the theme weeks. We already have there e.g. B. ate delicious pasta with fried asparagus. Our recommendation, or a highlight throughout: the blueberry pancakes! Also not to be underestimated is the spacious parking lot directly next to the restaurant, which also makes it accessible for seniors with limited mobility. We really enjoy coming there!

I fell in love with the service

The food and service were excellent. I was very delighted to receive a very well and tasty dish. I recommend this place and I will come back for more. If you arrive by car, the driveway is a little bit confusing as you must drive under a small train bridge. Other than that, you will not be disappointed.

This place made history and is not called the Federal House for nothing. An institution since the Bonn Republic. I was here as a child and always come back. Everything is delicious, especially the sweets (pancakes, waffles, ice cream). The service is friendly even when the weather is stressful (it's packed when the weather is good) and tries to fulfill all requests quickly. Located directly on the KöWi-Bonner Bogen cycle route. Wonderful terrace, view of the Rhine.

Nice, located directly on the Rhine. Nice beer garden. Prices are quite humane. Paying just under a tenner for a currywurst fries that also tastes good is absolutely fine these days. In the small children's menu, it's super nice to point out that two balls of ice cream are included as dessert. All in all, a clear recommendation.

You're sitting right on the Rhine... every now and then a train roars past. The schnitzel was unspectacular. The beer was delicious. Everything came quickly and the service was nice. Prices are rather medium. A nice place.
