Café Neffes in Berlin

Spilled drinks on me on only offered an extra drink as compensation. Overcharged and didn't fully get what we ordered. Food was fine.

We ordered drinks but he spilled on my brother which is unacceptable but, shit happens. He offered to give us free desert before we left but we just wanted to go to our hotel, no discount whatsoever and he got our order wrong, he was annoyed but apologetic. The food came in and was alright, okay for the price, I can recommend the pork schnitzel. Drinks are overpriced. Atmosphere was good, food took a long while to be done even though the place was nearly empty. Go here if you want a mid experience, nothing too bad nor too good. Allergy friendly.

This place is not advertised as an Indian restaurant but the taste is truly authentic. In the German dishes I highly recommend the Schnitzel - generous portion and quite delicious! The soups are good as well.

Terrible, because I can't give 0 stars, nothing to do with an Indian restaurant, so to speak, where to start The drinks, a glass of water and a Cocacola filled with a liter and a half bottle, €4.90 each!! A shame and a real robbery, the chicken in poor condition and raw. Korma? Where was the coconut sauce there. Honestly, we are tourists but we have felt cheated!!! :(

They didnt give me a glass, the one of my friend was already full from the previous customers. the smell in the location is rancid, and one of my mates was treated disrespectfully because they didn’t have halal food. I wont return here ever and never. The only good thing was the italian music that is anyway unlistenable.

We were there with the family for New Year's Day and were looking forward to a delicious meal. But an inedible buffet awaited us there, which made my cousin vomit all night. I also ordered a mojito out of frustration and specifically mentioned that it should be alcohol-free. But it arrived with a bitter taste, which made me realize that it was made with alcohol, and I didn't get my money back either. The toilets were also very dirty and the service was still acceptable. In general I can say that the restaurant is very dirty and rancid. The only good thing is the location. Absolutely no recommendation!!

The location of the restaurant is good, right next to the Bülowstraße subway station and a bus stop on Potsdamer Straße. The large gastro room itself has the charm of an xxl train station restaurant, and the operators are obviously Indian. The idea of ​​sitting outside never occurred to me because it is far too loud at the intersection. Sometimes you sit almost lost inside with two or three guests, but occasionally large tour groups from China, Japan and the USA are guests and ensure good sales. The staff is always attentive and remains relaxed and keeps an overview, even with large tour groups. - Apart from the fact that I like the Palak Paneer (rice with spinach and cheese cubes) here, I sometimes come just because of the Belgian Grimbergen beer, which is freshly tapped here, tastes super hoppy and citrus-fresh and you can hardly get it anywhere else in Berlin. 🍺

Interesting combo of German and Indian food. Works. Outdoor seating on a busy road so not quiet but you do get the Kiez feel.

Wir waren dort mit einer größeren Gruppe und wurden mit Buffet abgefüttert, welches nicht sehr appetitlich angerichtet war. Undefinierbare Saucen, alles eine seltsame Mischung asiatisch-indisch(?)-deutsch. Absolute Massenfütterung. Habe nur ein paar Kartoffeln und etwas Reis gegessen, mehrere Mitreisende waren in der Nacht krank.

Class trip. I'm giving one star because you can't give zero. The food is too poor, poorly cooked and not seasoned. Ultimately the only good thing is bread. Water, on the other hand, disgusts like the rest and it is not clear how this is possible. The staff is rude and arrogant. The place would be aesthetically safe but unfortunately, in addition to being neglected, as soon as you enter you are overwhelmed by a very unpleasant smell. In conclusion, I strongly advise you against coming to eat.

One thing first: the food was good. The potato soup was tasty, although the sausage promised on the menu was missing, the pork fillet was tender in a heavy but tasty cream sauce, croquettes were crispy and there was also a fresh side salad that was not listed on the menu. So far so good. Other things motivated me to deduct points. While I was studying the menu in front of the restaurant, the waitress or the owner of the restaurant started chatting to me outside. Such behavior annoys me. I would like to be able to study the offers before they try to compliment me. Inside, the good seats were already reserved for a school class, I had the choice between a mini table in the middle of the room, where taller people couldn't sit comfortably, and a high table with far too many high or bar chairs - ever three on the long ends and one on each of the short ones - squeezed into a corner between the entrance and the bar. Actually, at least two chairs would have had to be sorted out so that there was enough space there, so I had to move the furniture around a lot until I, a slightly taller person, could finally sit down. I ordered a normal-sized Coke, but was served a large one by the reasonably polite waitress. What I found completely unacceptable, however, was the fact that the starter and main course were served at the same time. After all, the main course gets cold while you eat the soup. That's why you first cook the starter and while the guest eats it, you prepare the main course. This is something you should already know as a restaurateur. Somewhat annoyed, I was then offered to keep the main course warm, which I declined, because a meal kept warm tastes different to a freshly prepared one. Such behavior signals to me as a guest that the restaurateur would be happy if I finished my meal as quickly as possible and then left the field. Summary: Intrusive compliments in the restaurant while you study the offers outside, only unfavorable seating for a single person, large cola served instead of the normal-sized one ordered, a soup that tastes good but one ingredient, namely the sausage, is missing, the simultaneous serving of Starter and main course and the service's somewhat friendly demeanor, which makes it difficult to mention the deficiencies so as not to become even more of a burden as a guest than you already are. In addition, the menu inside stated a (slightly) higher price for the main course than was stated outside. Since it was only a small amount, I ignored it, but the fact that more and more restaurateurs are listing different prices outside than what is on the menu or what is advertised inside really annoys me. Conclusion: Food is good so far, but you still have to learn a lot when dealing with the guests.

We were with a tour group in this already run-down restaurant. The service wasn't particularly friendly. Everything went "oops" We were served a terribly lousy buffet. For example, when the frozen chicken wings were empty, they weren't refilled. Neutral in taste is best. My cola was stale. There were drips from the ceiling in the restaurant. There was an unpleasant smell in the toilet. I can definitely not recommend this restaurant

Wir waren mit einer Reisegruppe in diesem, doch schon runtergekommenen Lokal. Der Service war nicht sonderlich freundlich. Alles lief "hopplahopp" Uns wurde ein unterirdisch mieses Buffet serviert. Als zB die TK Chickenwings leer waren, wurde auch nicht aufgefüllt. geschmacksneutral trifft es am besten. Meine Cola war abegestanden. Im Lokal tropfte es von der Decke. Im WC roch es unangenehm. Ich kann diese Gaststätte auf keinen Fall empfehlen.

The food was delicious, the staff was nice and accommodating, the ambience has already taken on a patina, but real food in the middle of Berlin is awesome. It's just a good thing that the Indians take care of German cuisine. After a hard day, salad or kebab just isn't enough 😏👍 It's the spare ribs for 14.00 in the middle of Berlin 😁

Service was nice. Drinks went up in price. I was a bit disappointed that we had a buffet. It was very small and cold. The only warm thing was the spring rolls. The potatoes were so-so. But the chicken wings were just soggy and cold. The speci was watery. The waiters were very nice. The Italian quota was the funniest.

We were in Berlin for four days at the end of October. On the first evening our tour group was taken to Nephews. There we were able to enjoy a great buffet, which was probably prepared especially for us. On the other evenings we only saw guests eating à la carte. But the food, especially the Indian dishes, are also very tasty and rich. Our evenings were rounded off with delicious cocktails. The staff and especially the "boss" are very attentive, courteous and friendly. We will definitely come back when we are in Berlin again.

Had amazing dessert. Decorations are lovely and the toilets clean.

The food of all kinds were pretty good, even for me as a picky eater. The waitstaff were nice and the food didn’t take too long. Only complaint was the cross breeze of smoke coming from people out the front and an area in the back.

Walked past this place and it looked lovely from the outside. Approached the staff member who just didn't seem interested or want to be there and ask if we could have a table...just sort of waved at us...so we sat outside. Order a cocktail each which was terrible and most likely wrong. The food was meh, nothing to rave about, but the staff there just gave a vibe or not wanting us or anyone to be there.

30 Minuten auf mein Garlic bread gewartet. Erst auf Anweisung hatte man sich erinnert. Das Hauptmenü kam 25 Minuten und falsch. Aber ich bekam einen Wein auf kosten des Hauses, immerhin. Mein englisch ist noch so gut das ich bestellen kann

Heerlijk gegeten! Met 6 personen kwamen we hier eten. Ieders nam een ander gerecht en elk gerecht was top! Snelle en heel vriendelijke bediening! Goede suggesties voor de drankjes!

Used this bar / restaurant for 3 nights whilst in Berlin. The staff were very friendly and the beer very good. We eat here on the middle night having a steak which was very good.

Currywurst bestellt aber Bratwürste bekommen… Schweineschnitzel bestellt und Rindfleisch bekommen, es war noch nicht mal fertig… also von Deutscheküche war es für uns nicht! Und viel zu teuer!

In zona centralissima a Berlino, abbiamo trovato questo locale accanto al nostro hotel Il ristorante è grande e accogliente servono cucina indiana e internazionale. Abbiamo mangiato davvero bene, carne ben cucinata e porzioni abbondanti. Il servizio è stato un po' carente, direi molto discreto, troppo per i canoni italiani, siamo andati noi a chiamarli per ordinare o chiedere il conto. Per il resto sono stati molto gentili e comprensivi, mostrando pazienza al nostro inglese non perfetto. Conto per 4 persone sotto 80€

Ich habe mit einer großen Gruppe (45 Personen) an einem Montag zu Abend gegessen Es war ein großes Büfett aufgebaut mit allerhand leckeren Speisen, Es gab Hühnerfleisch, Kartoffeln, Salate, Reis und Nachtisch (rote Grütze) es wurde laufend nachgelegt und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich

Trotz reichhaltiger Karte wurden alle Gerichte frisch zubereitet. Ob vegane, deutsche oder indische Gerichte- alles war perfekt. Freundliche, aufmerksame Bedienung. Der Hund wurde mit Wasser und Leckerlis versorgt. Sehr empfehlenswert !!!

Berlin Tipp!! 5* von mir! Und das mit gutem Gewissen. Wir waren für 3 Tage im benachbarten Hotel mit einer Berinfahrt vom BPA. Am ersten Abend hatten wir im Neffes ein Abendessen in Buffetform. Super lecker, sehr reichlich und sehr Abwechslungsreich. Für jeden etwas dabei. Da dort die Preise noch super human sind, blieben wir danach noch lange und kamen auch am Folgeabend mit 30 Leuten nocheinmal zum Fussball gucken. Tolle Getränke, super Auswahl und nettes Personal. Danke an das ganze Team und an die sehr nette junge Dame (Bedienung) vom Mittwoch Abend. :-) Alles Gute und bleibt so wie ihr seid!!

Es war sehr laut, keine Rücksicht auf die Gäste genommen. Bedienung kam erst nach mehrfacher Aufforderung. Das Essen ging so. Muss ich nicht nochmal hin.

Non posso dare un giudizio oggettivo su come si mangi in questo ristorante, essendoci stata con una scolaresca in gita, ma quello che abbiamo mangiato era buono. Il locale è carino e l'aspetto che mi ha colpito di più è stata l'estrema gentilezza del personale, in particolare del titolare, sempre sorridente e pronto a venire incontro ad ogni esigenza.

Essen ganz gut, Service auch ok. Auf der Karte steht zwar Schnaps, aber ohne Preis. Dass er 5,50€ kostet, wird einem erst nach dem Verzehr mitgeteilt. Das ist frech.

Tolles Restaurant. Sehr nettes Personal. Atmosphäre ist angenehm. Im Hinterhof ist eine sehr schöne und ruhige Terrasse, optimal für kleine Feiern. Essen ist super. Preise sind gut. Echt empfehlenswert.

Waren am 19.04.2022 zum Abendessen hier. Angenehme Atmosphäre und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Die Preise sind angemessen und das Essen sehr lecker. Indische und deutsche Küche vollends gelungen.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Die Einrichtung ist etwas durcheinander und das Personal ist etwas zurückhaltend. Aber dafür ist das Essen super! Das Garlic Naan ist der Hammer. Bitte nicht von Gerichten wie Penne oder Schnitzel Jäger Art von den tollen indischen Gerichten ablenken lassen! Die Cocktails sind auch lecker.

Забавно, что самое вкусное мясо в Берлине я съел именно здесь. Побывал в куче ресторанчиков, которые рекоммендуют многие туристы, блогеры и путеводители. И вот наевшись отвратительных блюд, побывав в местах, где могут запороть даже цезарь я оказался здесь и отъелся как следует. Место с виду неприметное, но будьте уверены, тут вкусно! Что для Берлина, увы, но редкость.

Es war super lecker, perfekte Größen und das Personal super freundlich.

Unser Essen war total ungewürzt und schmeckte überhaupt nicht. Das muss man in einem indischen Restaurant erstmal schaffen. Teile der Bestellung kamen nie am Tisch an,wurden uns jedoch trotzdem in Rechnung gestellt. Plus extra Getränke die wir nicht bestellt hatten. Nie, nie wieder.

The cafe is approx.100m away from the U-Bahn station that is easy for public commuters. It has an open lawn like a courtyard suited to the current corona situation, small group lunch or dinner. There are steps to reach the inner courtyard and washrooms, and toilets are downstairs, which is unsuitable for disabled people. Inner and outer space looks small but has enough room for the restaurant business. You can bring your little kids or older adults but be watchful. They may hurt themselves with the inner pillar of the restaurant. Other Guests arrival were very limited, which turned out to be convenient for our folks. They arranged the Indian buffet for our small group and starters, and the dessert was so delicious. Our guests requested milk tea, but it wasn't good at all. The cafe accepts cash for the bills settlements. Overall, a good group event was possible in the restaurant.
