The Extrablatt in Monheim is one of my favorite places...whether for a relaxed breakfast with the family or a drink in the evening before celebrating. Ordered taccos today in a different way, jalapeno were completely missing, the filling left a lot to be desired, as if the minced meat had been stretched with about 25 grams, a side dish, a little iceberg, on the whole, left the restaurant hungry! CAPPUCCINO milk foam top, mini cup, hardly any coffee in it...well!

We celebrated our daughter's communion today at Café Extrablatt in Monheim! We can absolutely praise the service. Everything was thought through and all wishes were fulfilled. Drinks were quickly brought to the tables, cream was provided for the cake we had brought with us and we were even given an extra table for our cake. The food was enjoyed by everyone and was brought to the table for 25 people at the same time! We are completely satisfied and would like to say a big THANK YOU to the entire service team!!

Yes, I go there often with my dad, who lives in a nursing home in Monheim. Summer, like winter, always well looked for and good. Service top. Breakfast buffet was very appetizingly prepared and the food was great too. Thumbs up

A very, very strange experience: dogs on seating is completely unacceptable!!! It's absolutely fine for dogs to be allowed in the restaurant. But dogs on seating is a "NO GO"!!! Our warning to the staff was simply ignored.

I ordered both “Winterspice Chocolate” and a piece of cheesecake. After a good five minutes I got the drink, which was unfortunately no longer quite as hot, but the taste was very good. When I wanted to pay after thirty minutes, I was initially charged for the cheesecake that wasn't served. The friendly waitress apologized for the mishap and corrected the bill.

I'm now sure I won't visit this restaurant again. I haven't been satisfied a few times, but two days ago the service person convinced me. I was a guest for lunch with my husband. The table was very dirty and it was only after my request that it was cleaned halfway, very reluctantly. Lunch tasted very good👍, but that was it. The empty glasses were not taken from the table, no attention was paid to them. We then ordered a coffee, but when it was served I unfortunately realized that the coffee spoon had already been used. The service wasn't exactly friendly, slow and unmotivated. Very unfortunate.

When serving, I was afraid that the plates or possibly... the table could break in two (that's how hard the food and drinks were slammed onto the table). Extra Sheet does what Extra Sheet is supposed to do. We only ate small things. But they were tasty. The Gulssch soup was delicious. It's all Convinionsware. It was definitely too loud in the restaurant. There are also no walls to absorb the noise. I prefer to sit outside, but that wasn't possible due to the weather. The staff was quick and nice. The second time I ate extra sausage and chicken schnitzel with fries. Was delicious.

Rarely visited a restaurant like this. The interior is very, very nice and the staff are all very friendly. The management is also extremely accommodating and tries to satisfy their own needs as best as possible. The next time I'm back in Monheim am Rhein, I'll definitely go there again! There is only positive things to say about Cafe Extrablatt in Monheim. It is in the middle of the city, which is easily accessible. The food and service is also top, without long waiting times. I'm here almost every day and can really recommend it to everyone.

A super nice shop. The atmosphere is great, the employees are super nice and accommodating. We were able to get to know the managing director over a nice conversation, everyone there was super friendly. I would happily recommend it to anyone.

Great place, this waiter named Besart Ferataj served us very well and politely. His funny and charming manner sweetened the evening for all of us. We are looking forward to seeing the Besart again and being served by him.

A cozy café where you can have a bite to eat and nice service

Since we go out for a spontaneous meal or drink at Kaffe Extrablatt at least once a month, the service staff already know us. The waitress, Selina, knows exactly what me and my wife are drinking at the beginning. A large old and a large Krefelder and during the evening there is a Long Island Ice tea, she is particularly likeable. The service staff are all very attentive and friendly. The food tastes good, if you order a burger you get something on your plate and it's more than plentiful. Whether it's pizza, burgers, salads, wraps or tarte flambée, everything is tasty. That's why we're so often guests at Kaffe Extrablatt.

First of all, on the positive side: the location is quite okay. Not the food though. The fries were almost cold, the baked schnitzel was totally soggy and not really warm either. Half remained on the plate. When the complaint was made, they simply said "I actually brought both out straight away". Nothing else. There was no offer to reduce the price or anything in compensation. You just have to be able to deal with criticism and still try to make the guest happy. Apparently not here.

After 30 minutes of waiting, our order still hadn't been taken. Then we left again.

We were there twice and both times my food was forgotten or the wrong one was brought. The others had already eaten theirs when mine still didn't come and I finally canceled it. An apology was made, but it still leaves a bad feeling. It's actually a shame, it's cozy and everyone is really nice. Update: Once again we were ignored and not served. Even if there is a lot going on, you can't sit there forever trying to make eye contact and still be ignored while others at the next tables are served as soon as they arrive. If you then point this out, you get a rude reaction. Never again!

Unfortunately you can't give zero points for food and service. After we were ignored as guests for over half an hour, we would have liked to eat something but couldn't place an order, we went to another restaurant. Rarely have I seen such a poorly organized store.

You sit here and wait, regardless of whether you want to order something or pay later. Many people go elsewhere because it's rare to see service out here and there's an hour-long wait to eat. If someone comes and you signal that you want to pay, nothing happens for a long time. You should avoid the store if possible. No guest has to put up with such disrespect.

I wasn't recommended to anyone to eat there. First the order came wrong and ice cold. When I wanted to give it back the staff was in the mood 'why'??? 💆 Same order came back in 15 minutes burnt and dry. Ekstrablatt Monheim never again 🙂‍↔️

Burger and fries arrived cold. After commenting that it was cold, they didn't make a new one, they just put the burgers and fries in the oven and heated them up. After the comment the staff became very rude. They don't want to admit their mistake. Finally, no discount and no understanding. This place is NOT RECOMMENDED!

The food is good and the atmosphere is fine. The location is particularly pleasant on summer days. However, the service leaves something to be desired: orders are sometimes taken incorrectly, higher amounts are charged than stated on the menu, and waiting times to order or pay are unreasonably long. There are no apologies, instead excuses are sought - and all this even though the store is not always full. The staff should urgently be better trained. In addition, the price-performance ratio is not right: the prices are significantly excessive.

Excellent! Ordered the breakfast buffet. Children up to 4 years old are free, from 4 years old they pay half price. Very fair! There is a small play area for the children. The breakfast selection is okay - the quality is very good!

The breakfast is very tasty. The selection is huge. However, I don't think it's okay to bring dogs into the restaurant. This is not appropriate where there is food. There are enough tables outside. I have an allergy to animal hair.

We had a lovely morning, but it was very busy and I think the staff were a bit overwhelmed, which was a shame. They were all very nice, but you had to wait if you just wanted to order a drink. And what also annoyed me was that we had reserved and came in and had to wait at the front until someone came to meet us. It doesn't help if the waiter says, "You have to be patient on the weekend" our table neighbors had ordered waffles 30 minutes with the lukewarm cocoa 🫣 the fitness plate is not on the menu either, in Hilden there is the fitness plate and the waiter's statement "you would have to buy additional storage space for this. Always these explanations that I can't fully understand. Oh, 🙈 at the end, a young waiter didn't know the difference between old and mushroom 🤪. The location of Café Extrablatt is good because the café is right in the city. The staff is friendly and tries to accommodate every request. We had to wait a bit to be served, but only because it was very busy that day. Our order was tasty and sufficient.

We know many "extra newspapers", including in Wuppertal, Velbert, Leverkusen, to name just a few, and we always like to come to Monheim as a priority (at number 1), like last sunny Sunday. We were able to enjoy our stay on the south/west facing terrace in the afternoon. The restaurant fits harmoniously into the overall building complex. The neighboring buildings are also designed in an architecturally appealing way and underline the beautiful ambience. There are no complaints about the service. The staff is attentive, friendly and quick. The tables are cleaned immediately and the menus sorted. You will not be “forgotten” as a guest. The offer is large. All dishes are prepared appetizingly and decoratively. Prices are appropriate for the effort. 5-star plus!

I think the service and the food are getting worse and worse. Waiting 20-30 minutes for service seems listless at times. Eating decreases greatly. You had to look for meat in the wraps and the nachos tasted like they looked, old.

Actually, depending on where we are, we always go to one of the Extrablatt branches for breakfast. We had breakfast in this branch for the first time the day before yesterday (Thursday). The spatial conditions and the volume are similar to that of a waiting room. It takes forever for the service to take the order. The breakfast buffet is rather carelessly structured. The first thing I noticed was that some of the "clean" cutlery still had food residue on it. First I got 2 rolls with cheese/sausage cold cuts and a fried egg. The rolls were fresh and good. But the fried egg was ice cold! Next, off to the warming container for scrambled eggs, bacon, etc.! No scrambled eggs, no bacon. Just little meatballs! After 10 minutes there were scrambled eggs, but still no bacon. If asked, with a rather disinterested service person, the bacon would be in the works (it was around 10.30 in the morning 🙄). After 10 minutes there was still no bacon, after asking again the bacon had run out and new ones were being procured. My wife and I still finished eating, but we agreed that we didn't have the breakfast experience we expected from other branches of this chain! We paid around €35 ​​for breakfast for two people including drinks!

It's family-friendly and cozy, the service is very friendly. A place where I personally like to go.

We were just there, were greeted nicely and then ignored for 20 minutes. The team found it more interesting to have private conversations. The restaurant wasn't even 1/10 full. Simply bad service. Not again for us, just a disappointment despite the 30 minute journey.
