Uriges Restaurant mit sehr netten Bedienungen und gut gelauntem und lockerem Besitzer Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich Preise sind auch absolut in Ordnung Kommen gerne mal wieder

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Die Bedienungen sind super freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Der Chef kam auch noch zu uns an den Tisch und wir hatten eine Menge Spaß. Ich hatte Hirschgulasch mit Spätzle, mein Mann hatte das Berner Schnitzel und mein Sohn das Schnitzel Wiener Art. Chef hat die Pommes erst einmal vorgetestet 😂 und für gut befunden. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Personal zwar nett, aber komplett unerfahren. Die Lokalität ist leider auch nicht gepflegt und schmutzig. Ein Essen wurde vergessen und auf die Beschwerde hat der Eigentümer komplett unprofessionell und unverschämt reagiert.m. Anstatt eine Einigung zu erzielen, wollte er im Recht sein. Wir wurden im Übrigen nach der Beschwerde auch nicht mehr bedient. Das ist an Unprofessionalität kaum noch zu überbieten. Im Übrigen scheint dieser Umgang mit unzufriedenen Kunden hier Standard zu sein, wie man den Rezensionen hier und auf anderen Plattformen entnehmen kann - auch wenn der Eigentümer in den Antworten jeweils gezielt den Kunden die Schuld gibt. Das sagt ja eigentlich schon alles aus.

Wir sind etwas enttäuscht. Schnitzel mit Pilzsauce war unspektakulär, schmeckte okay aber schon deutlich besser gegessen. Matjes mit Bratkartoffeln war auch kein Highlight. Kellnerin war freundlich aber die Speisekarte schien ihr fremd. Fragen, die man ihr stellte könnte sie nicht beantworten. Fazit: kann man machen, kann man aber eher lassen. Für uns keinen zweiten Besuch wert.

Essen kann ich leider nicht bewerten, da ich in einer Gruppe von 15 Personen gar kein Essen bekommen habe. „Oh, fehlt, ich schau mal, wo es ist…“. Danach für mindestens 10 Minuten keinerlei Reaktion mehr, wie z.B. ein freies Getränk, oder eine schnelle kostenlose Vorspeise. Da dann irgendwann (15+ Minuten) ein Großteil unsere Gruppe fertig mit der Hauptspeise war, hab ich einer Person an der Theke gesagt, dass ich mein Essen jetzt auch nicht mehr brauche. Guess what! - ich habe dann tatsächlich nichts mehr bekommen, d.h. in den 15 Minuten nachdem der Rest meiner Gruppe das Essen bekommen hat, ist im Service und in der Küche NICHTS passiert. Den Chef darauf angesprochen, wurde dieser dann auch noch frech und beschwert sich, dass er so nicht mit sich sprechen lassen muss. Also wird Feedback der Kunden nicht wert geschätzt.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Leider wirkte der Umgang der Leitung mit den sehr jungen weiblichen Servicekräften auf mich recht distanzlos. Das hat die Atmosphäre für mich als Gast leider etwas unangenehm gemacht. Ich wünsche mir hier einen respektvollen Umgang.

Eine unerwartete wahre Überraschung. Bei einem Spontanbesuch der Monheimer Altstadt entdeckten wir dieses Juwel klassischer bürgerlicher Küche. Die Karte versprach viele Köstlichkeiten und hielt dies auch ein. Dazu ein ausgezeichnetes, süffiges hausgebrautes Bier. Ein äußerst freundlicher und lustiger Wirt vom alten Schlag gibt diesem Haus noch einen weiteren Kick. Das ist bürgerliches deutsches Essen in Reinkultur. Unbedingt zu empfehlen. Besonders hervorzuheben die Waldpilzsuppe, eine sahnige Orgie der Spitzenklasse.

Ein Traditionshaus allererster Güte. Persönliche Begrüßung beim Eintreten, schönes Ambiente, ausgezeichnete Speisen und Getränke, nette Bedienung durch junges, freundliches Personal und ein allgegenwärtiger Chef, der alles perfekt managt. Kurz: ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ich war am Freitag im Pfannenhof essen. Die Vorspeise sowie das Hauptmenü war sehr lecker. Wenn es einen Oscar für kochen gäbe würde ich 2 Oscars an den/ die Köchin vergeben. 1 Oscar für die beste Waldpilzsuppe,den 2 Oscar für das Hauptgericht Jägerschnitzel . Gruẞ R.W

Haben hier die Taufe von unserem Enkel gefeiert. Essen war sehr lecker 🤤und die Mädels vom Service waren alle sehr freundlich und auf Zack. Auch der Wirt ist sehr freundlich und hat immer einen lockeren Spruch auf den Lippen. Kommen gerne wieder.

Alles Perfekt. Der Service war super nett und sehr hilfreich!!

Wir waren zu Viert letzten Samstag beim Ruhrpott-Dinner hier zu Besuch. Ich bin super begeistert, wie gut das alles organisiert war. Es waren (glaube ich) 16 Tische immer mit bestimmt bis zu 10 Personen. Das Essen kam immer direkt für den ganzen Tisch. Der Getränkeservice lief auch komplett reibungslos. Alles in einem war ich rundum zufrieden, auch geschmacklich hat es mich abgeholt. Das Einzige was nicht ganz so gut war, war die Portionsgröße - für mich, der Rest war aber sehr zufrieden. Wirklich großen Respekt für so viele Leute.

Das Essen war gut. Der Service war schnell. Ich kann das Restaurant empfehlen. Es gibt zwar keine alkoholischen Getränke auf der Karte, aber die Auswahl an Spirituosen an der Bar ist begrenzt. Es gibt auch keinen Irish Coffee (nicht weiter schlimm, aber erwarten Sie ihn nicht).

Den Monheim-Besuch hier beginnen und dann die Straße herunter über den BierÄquator zum Bermudadreieck und Rheinufer schlendern. Hier gibt es Alt und Kölsch. Sehr gut ist das Hausbier (Pils)

Habe hier mit meinem Mann letztes Jahr unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und alle Gäste inkl wir selbst waren begeistert . Uns liegt dieses Lokal und seine Menschen generell zu jeder zeit sehr am Herzen für uns ein Ort der in unserem Leben schon immer präsent war und wie die Altstadt selbst gehört der Pfannenhof einfach zu uns Monheimer Kindern dazu . Wir kommen immer wieder gerne vorbei .

Waren heute das erste mal im Pfannenhof. Essen sehr lecker und das Servicepersonal den ganzen Abend sehr aufmerksam. Empfehlenswert und werden gerne nochmal dort Essen gehen.

Das Jäger-Schnitzel kommt schnell. Zu schnell. Es hatte offenbar schon einige Zeit in der Küche gelegen. Das schmeckt man dann auch bei den Bratkartoffeln und bei der Pilzsoße. Das Essen war jetzt nicht komplett schlecht, aber es geht deutlich besser, eher Durchschnitt. Das Hausbier ist großartig und der Service ist auch sehr bemüht. Würden aber nicht wieder hingehen. Die Kommentare hier zum Chef kann ich teilweise nachvollziehen. Ich finde ihn eher lustig, aber sicher nicht jedermanns Sache.

Das wahrscheinlich kinderfreundlichste Restaurant in der Gegend, mit großem Spielzimmer und sehr kinderfreundlichem Personal. Das kulinarische Angebot für Kinder könnte aber noch etwas ausgebaut werden. Schnitzel mit Pommes ist oft etwas zu viel. Nur Pommes (geht wahrscheinlich, steht aber nicht explizit auf der Karte), Nudeln mit Tomatensauce und ähnliches wäre schön. 0,3er Getränke sind für kleinere Kinder oft auch etwas zu viel.

Wir hatten Schnitzel. Das Essen war schnell da und man hörte kein klopfen aus der Küche. Sah irgendwie nach Fertigprodukt aus. Der Chef komandierte seine Angestellten, überwiegend jung und ungelernt. Wenn man den Menschen nichts erklärt, können die auch nichts lernen.

Das Essen dort schneckt immer wieder sehr gut.

Wir waren vor einiger Zeit zu einer Familienfeier im Pfannenhof essen. Ambiente und Empfang waren gut, das Essen schmeckte auch, bis es uns im Hals stecken blieb. Wir hatten zwei Babys dabei, die zu dem Zeitpunkt nur Brei essen konnten. Nachdem die Mutter bei der sehr jungen, bereits bei der Getränkebestellung überforderten und genervten Bedienung anfragte, ob die Küche bitte ein zweites Gläschen kurz aufwärmen könnte, entgegnete diese genervt stöhnend und Augen rollend: Nein! Unser Küchenchef will das nicht! Dafür ist die Küche nicht da! Freitag mittags, als außer unserer 13 köpfigen Familie, noch drei andere Gäste da waren! Und das in der Stadt, die sich als "Hauptstadt der Kinder" rühmt. Gut, dass es noch Restaurants gibt in denen auch die Kleinsten gern gesehen sind....

We went for goose dinner. The goose leg, although breast was ordered, was tough and not at all tasty. The red cabbage tasted like it came straight from a bag. The dumplings were okay. Unfortunately, I've been disappointed at this restaurant twice in a short period of time.

At €37.80 for a goose breast, I expected a sensationally good goose breast. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. A) The breast arrived as a leg (why order breast? Quite simply, to avoid the leg bone on your plate), B) this goose breast leg was then served in a pan that was very difficult to handle, C) the goose breast leg was extremely dry, D) the dumplings tasted better even from Pfanni; I would have preferred homemade or Pfanni dumplings 😉 (that should be included at that price). Well, I tried it once, but I don't need to order again. Oh yes, there is one positive thing: the Riesling was excellent. Mind you, this is just a minor criticism of the most expensive dish on the menu. I've also had herring with fried potatoes here, and they were much better; they were simply delicious 😉 and reasonably priced 🆗. Sorry, but for me, the goose breast was a complete flop for the price...

We were very satisfied with the service and the food; the Sauerbraten and schnitzel were divine. The price/performance ratio is absolutely perfect. I can definitely recommend it.

We took a weekend vacation in Monheim two weeks ago and visited the Pfannenhof on our second evening. Based on the reviews, we thought we were in the right place, and the ambiance was convincing from the first impression. Things got a bit strange with the very young girls who were apparently working as holiday workers, keeping the business running cheaply. They were very fast, but also a bit disorganized and overwhelmed. Nevertheless, we chose a schnitzel with chanterelle mushroom sauce and fries for €21.40 from the special "Pfifferling Speisen" menu. It took exactly 14 minutes until everything was on the table and we could eat, which was ridiculously fast.... THE FOOD = absolutely awful! Sorry, but I can't describe it any better than that! The schnitzel, not even 5mm thick – the fries rock-hard, both probably cooked in a deep fryer, which justifies the speed. The Pfefferling sauce looked like it had been scooped out of a 10-liter Metro bucket and shoveled onto the plate, unseasoned, of course. All for such a "high" price, when I could have gotten the same thing at any takeaway for €14, with the same taste. We tried the food, my wife left half, and I had stomach problems all night. I regretted not returning it all to the kitchen right away, but we won't repeat that experience! It was also a shame that even the people of Monheim advised us against it later that evening. Unfortunately, it was too late… Best regards

A very nice restaurant with a cozy, rustic atmosphere. We received a very warm welcome and were able to choose a table by the window, as luckily it wasn't very busy. After a few moments, the menu arrived and the drinks were listed. These arrived quite quickly, and we were able to order our food. The house-brewed (unfiltered?) Pilsner was very drinkable and only slightly bitter. The drink prices, however, are very ambitiously positioned at the upper end of the price scale. The service was attentive, friendly, and very fast. The Rhenish Sauerbraten with dumplings and apple sauce was absolutely fantastic. Very fine meat that could be cut without a knife (as Sauerbraten should be) in a super dark and incredibly flavorful sauce. And then there was the apple sauce with chunks... a dream that you rarely, if ever, get in restaurants. Personally, I could have used more apple sauce, but I wanted something else. My Westerwald hunter's schnitzel with wild mushrooms in a cream sauce and spaetzle was okay, but not that tasty. This was due to the rather watery sauce, lacking in flavor. The chef must have forgotten the cream and various spices. So, a bit ambivalent about the food, but otherwise, always worth a stop – just for the sauerbraten.

This was the first restaurant we visited in the area and still come here.Steak and chips is highly recommended as well as the seasonal dishes. Friendly owner, very pleasant and helpful.Family orientated restaurant. Super kid friendly. Christmas days 25-26 December there is usually a huge variety of food to indulge in for a reasonable price.

We spontaneously stopped by today with friends on our bikes from Hilden for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. We'll definitely eat there again. See you soon...

For us day trippers, it was a chance discovery in the beautiful old town. The food is delicious and freshly prepared. Since my wife doesn't like onions, preparing the chanterelles was no problem. It's accompanied by a delicious house beer (Kellerbier?). All at reasonable prices.

We ate there twice... Many dishes on the menu...something for every taste...the chef and staff were very friendly...no long wait...We'll be back on our next short break and would recommend it to everyone.

Quaint restaurant, friendly service, unfortunately no drinks menu, the schnitzel dishes are too expensive, as there's only one side dish available, e.g., either croquettes or a side salad. However, the side salad should be included for that price. The schnitzels were too thin, and the sauce came from a packet; it could have been better for the price.

The food was okay. The staff was just too young, but nice and friendly. There's no drinks menu. You don't know how much the drinks cost and can't choose in peace.

We celebrated our daughter's confirmation there. Everything was excellent: the food, the service, the decor, simply beautiful. The chef was very friendly. We've also eaten there several times privately; it's very child-friendly and a great family restaurant.

A real hit for fans of German cuisine. The staff is super friendly and dedicated to ensuring your satisfaction. The inns exude a cozy atmosphere.

All in all, it was very bad. Those were the worst schnitzel dishes we've ever eaten. We're happy to pay for a good meal and go home satisfied. Unfortunately, we were miles away from that. I can well imagine the response to this review. It's not that bad. No, not at all. Sorry, but I have to get this off my chest.

The food was good, but the restaurant is showing its age. It was annoying that we reserved a table and still had to wait over an hour for our food because there was a large group in the dining room. I think this should be mentioned in the confirmation when making a reservation. We had an appointment, so we ate the food in a hurry.

Review of the schnitzel with hunter's sauce and fried potatoes plus vegetables. The schnitzel was quite thin (comparable to frozen). The sauce was okay, but no fresh mushrooms. The fried potatoes were shriveled up, not sliced, but rather broken and fried with bacon, which I can handle. The vegetables were very bland; some seasoning or sauce would have been beneficial. The service and ambiance of the restaurant are what you'd expect from a good, home-style restaurant, but the food (at least my dish) leaves a lot of room for improvement.

We went to the crime dinner at Pfannenhof on May 10, 2025. The meal included a starter, salad and soup. The main course was 3-4 small baby potatoes, 3 stalks of asparagus and some pork fillet (2 mini pieces). There's no need to even talk about the sauce, far too little for so many people at the table. The food was super tasty, but just not enough! You just won't get full! For the money you at least expect to go home full! It wasn't just us who felt that way, our neighbors at the table also thought so. The crime thriller was really great and was really fun. We'll be coming back to Pfannenhof, that's for sure! Owners and staff were simply great, very friendly; you just feel good...

Unfortunately disappointing. 20 euros for 5 asparagus spears and 4 half small potatoes. Not nicely done. I was really looking forward to asparagus, but unfortunately it wasn't worth 20 euros. I wasn't full. Toilets were not clean and the soap was filled with water... The play area for children was positive, although it could use some cleaning. My daughter's leggings were pretty dirty after the visit. Pointed out at the end that we were disappointed. Pass it on, they said... that's it.

Unfortunately nothing was eaten, but the beer selection was great.

Oops, there’s still gypsy schnitzel! Ordered and got a schnitzel with three Rösti thalers, honestly that was a child's plate. Salad comes extra. What a shame!!!!

Nice, tasty... We'd love to come back

We moved to Monheim 1.5 years ago. Been to Pfannenhof a few times since then. The food is a 1 with *. The schnitzels were a revelation. There is nowhere else that is child-friendly like we are here. You just feel good. The waiting time (especially on Sundays when the house is full) is completely acceptable.

We would have liked to rate the food, but that didn't happen. After a long walk we stopped by this restaurant to have something to eat and drink. The very young waitress was with us pretty quickly and took our drink order. The young lady brought us the drinks and put the menus on the table. After that she wasn't seen again. After about 30 minutes, a gentleman at the next table got fed up and went to the counter to ask the staff to take an order. A short time later the young lady came to our table and took the order. After another 10 minutes the waitress was back at our table and told us that we wouldn't be getting any food because it wasn't possible now and we would have to wait. The restaurant was quite busy, but nowhere near full. Not a word of apology or anything like that. Well, you always experience new things. Unfortunately, this is the first and last time.

Gypsy schnitzel with warmed Hela ketchup and paprika snippets. Meat very thin and too soft. For the price...not again Used cutlery is thrown into a bucket at the counter and then cleaned and dried.

It was the worst Christmas buffet ever. And that for €39.90. That's how I imagine food at the social table. Cheap ready-made salads thrown together, no labeling on the containers, you didn't know what you were eating at all, food stopped at 6.30 p.m filled up, although the offer was valid until 8 p.m., the only vegetables available were Leipziger Allerlei, no red cabbage, broccoli, etc., the baked apples (which no were raw from the inside because they were unfilled and with a casing, no one cared about the cleanliness of the buffet (it looked disgusting), students as waitresses who had no idea about service (food from the neighboring table was thrown together at our table), summarized .....a cheap disaster with the cheapest, unidentifiable food in an unbelievably negative atmosphere. Very, very sad to earn such a fortune.

Christmas buffet 2024 with 14 people. The quality of the food and service in no way justified the price of 39.90. Drinks were served very late after the buffet opened. The fish and baked potatoes were undercooked. The bowls at the buffet remained empty for a very long time and were sometimes not refilled at all. My wife and I recommended the restaurant to our group and then had to listen to all the hassle.

The companies had a Christmas party there. Food was okay so far. The DJ didn't have the right knack for music and was too loud. Ambiance is old-fashioned but clean.

We have been celebrating our company Christmas party here for two years. It is always beautifully decorated for us and we feel very comfortable here. I can't rate the food because I didn't get any after 2 hours. After waiting for a dozen or so, the innkeeper let us know that it was being prepared. After 2 hours it was still being prepared🤔 When I asked, it got uncomfortable for me because the whole company was basically thrown out the door. I'm of the opinion that the store doesn't get multiple companies. The innkeeper was just disgusting to us. Today I found out that the rest of the party was held back for another hour and was also escorted out when they asked when the food was coming. How can you treat old people like that?
