Die Steaks hier sind einfach fantastisch und riesig – wirklich mit die besten, die ich je gegessen habe! Man geht garantiert nicht hungrig nach Hause. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Der Service wirkte etwas steif und förmlich, aber das Essen hat das mehr als wettgemacht.

Etwas abseits. Ein See ist nicht weit. Wir fanden sofort Platz. Modern und stylisch eingerichtet. Freundliche Bedienung. Essen von der Karte oder aktuell Angebote von der Tafel. Angenehmer Aufenthalt. Sehr gutes Essen.

Wir haben köstlich gegessen und die Angestellten waren außerordentlich freundlich.

Endlich mal ein Restaurant, was die Steuerermäßigung an die Kunden weitergibt.

Wir (4 Personen) haben hier am 03.05.2026 -wetterbedingt leider nicht draußen auf der schönen, großen Terrasse sondern drinnen- sehr gut gegessen. Rinderfilet und Schweinefilet waren perfekt. Veggie-Teller mit Grillkartoffeln sehr lecker. Vorspeisen und Dessert auch gut. Service sehr gut, sehr nett, sehr aufmerksam. Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt, einschränkungslos zu empfehlen

Hier kann man sehr gut Essen gehen . Das Ambiente ist angenehm. Man sollte aber vorher reservieren. Die Qualität des Essens ist auch sehe gut.

Sehr unscheinbar gelegen entpuppt es sich zu einem kulinarischen Genuss Parkplätze sind viele vorhanden. Bei gutem Wetter kann auch draußen gegessen werden. Die Speisekarte beinhaltet tolle Gerichte, weswegen mir die Auswahl schwer fiel. Der Fisch, die Vorspeise und die Beilagen haben total meinen Geschmack getroffen. Die Bedienung war freundlich und locker. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Sehr angenehmes Restaurant, schnelles Bringen, einfache und übersichtliche Speise- und Getränkeauswahl, nicht zu kompliziert. Habe hier verschiedene Gerichte probiert, alles schmeckt vom Feinsten.

Empfehlenswert! Die Bedienung ist freundlich, zuvorkommend, aber nicht aufdringlich. Die Auswahl der Gerichte ist umfangreich, es sollte also für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei sein. Uns hat es gut geschmeckt.

Wir waren hier mit einer Gesellschaft. Das Personal war bemüht, einige Bestellungen wurden trotzdem an der Theke abgegeben. Das Essen war durchschnittlich. Der Kuchen schmeckte leider teilweise wie vom Vortag.

We were invited out for dinner today, and the first impression was okay. I was looking forward to a whole sea bream with herb stuffing. I ordered boiled potatoes and spinach to go with it. What arrived was a fish fillet (frozen) which wasn't sea bream and was quite dry, with very watery boiled potatoes. The spinach arrived a short time later. I wasn't sure if the menu listed fillet. It didn't. Unfortunately, the fillet wasn't sea bream. The spinach (which was lukewarm to cold) also contained a long, thin bean. I complained and asked for a sea bream with herb stuffing. What arrived was another fillet (frozen). Upon asking again, I was told that they no longer had whole sea bream. Given the prices, this was my first and last visit. If they don't even know their own menu, that's pretty sad. On the plus side, the staff was friendly. I can't recommend this place, unfortunately.

Our visit to Holz & Feuer in Monheim was a complete success. The service was exceptionally friendly – ​​exactly the kind of attentiveness one hopes for. The drinks arrived in no time, and both the appetizer and main course were absolutely delicious. A restaurant we can wholeheartedly recommend. We will definitely be back.

We were there with three people. First of all, I should mention that there's plenty of parking. ;-) The reception was friendly, the service excellent, and the food excellent. Thanks again for the garlic oil with the spinach; that was very thoughtful. We felt very well looked after and have already scheduled another appointment.

Stunning venue! The starters was actually enough. Tasty and flavourful.Not a big selection of food but well prepared and well presented. Enjoyed our visit to Holz & Feuer. The new modernised dining area is truly spectacular. Did not like the seating in the older part of the restaurant. Very outdated and uncomfortable and very noisy. Good and friendly waiters though.

The menu offers an excellent selection of delicious dishes, all freshly prepared. I was particularly impressed by the wood-fired bread – simply divine! The meat dishes are also top-notch and perfectly seasoned. The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. You can tell that the team is passionate about what they do and that their guests' satisfaction is their top priority. All in all, an absolute insider tip in Monheim. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We eat here often and are always satisfied. The food is truly delicious, no matter what we order. Whether it's surf and turf, steak, fish, or lamb with various side dishes, we've always been satisfied. A small recommendation is the "Einmal querbeet" (Across the Board) appetizer platter for two; it's extremely filling; afterward, there's not much room for a large meal, unless you're absolutely starving.

Excellent food, the lumberjack steak was really good, as was the mixed meat skewer. The bacon beans are especially recommended. The service was quick and good, nothing to complain about. The ambiance is rustic (we sat inside), spacious, and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Highly recommended! We had reservations for seven adults and two small children and were completely thrilled. Spacious & Child-Friendly: We were given a very spacious table with more than enough space for all of us. As requested when making the reservation, high chairs were also immediately available for our two small children – a real plus, especially with small children, and a sign that our wishes are taken into account. Attentive Service: The service was excellent from start to finish. They regularly and unobtrusively asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. Truly very attentive! Transparent Communication: Although we had to wait a little longer for our food due to a large wedding party (over 80 people) being served at the same time, we were transparently informed of this right at the beginning of our visit. We found this very fair and well-handled. Excellent Food & Generous Portions: And the wait was more than worth it! The food was consistently delicious, and the portions were truly generous – this also applied to the children's dishes. Everyone at the table was very satisfied and more than satisfied. My personal highlight: The rump steak I personally had the rump steak with fried diced potatoes and hunter's sauce. It's particularly noteworthy that both the side dishes and the sauces are ordered separately, offering absolutely top-notch quality – no trace of convenience or frozen products; everything tasted fresh and high-quality. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium, just the way I like it, with wonderful roasted aromas. The diced potatoes were wonderfully crispy. Since the sauce is ordered separately and served as such, I poured it over the potatoes myself – had I known how crispy the diced potatoes were, I might have enjoyed them on the side to savor the full crunch! The steak was accompanied by a piece of delicious herb butter. The meat itself was of such excellent quality that I enjoyed most of it on its own – a true delight! Conclusion: We can wholeheartedly recommend Holz & Feuer and would be happy to return! An all-around successful dining experience.

Unfortunately, poor hygiene. There was a hair on the mushrooms with a cream sauce. Unfortunately, it is very disgusting to find foreign hairs in your food, your appetite is immediately lost. The cellar was informed and took it away and removed it from the bill and offered dessert on the house. Well, it would be better to work cleanly with food. If you decide to run a restaurant, you also have to make sure that your employees in the kitchen and in the service work cleanly. You have special training beforehand and learn about hygiene with food. Apparently everything was forgotten. I really hope that more attention is paid to this.

The restaurant is part of a hotel. We were a larger group and had therefore already pre-ordered the food. If you order food here, all side dishes have to be ordered separately, i.e. potatoes/fries etc. Vegetables/salad, but also sauces, which makes the dishes not really cheap. My fries weren't enough for the price, but there was a good portion of meat, which balanced it all out. The service was friendly and everything went relatively quickly.

The restaurant is easily accessible on a main road. There are parking spaces in front of and next to the restaurant. The interior is cozy. The restaurant is divided into 2 areas. We've been there a total of 3 times now, at slightly longer intervals. The last two times with our customers. Unfortunately, both the food and the service have deteriorated significantly compared to our first visit. During our last visit, for example, the cellar was not included. Had to order 3 times because he was paying attention to the neighboring table. The request for a menu with dessert was refused. Instead, the desserts were simply listed even though half of the people were still in conversation and there were only English-speaking customers. Last but not least, another waiter dropped a full beer glass on the floor right next to our table and got 2 of us wet. The food itself was just average and sometimes not as ordered. 3 of the steaks were well done instead of medium rare and tough. The mozzarella was served with wilted basil leaves. The Cesar salad wasn't nicely presented either. Different would be expected from a restaurant in this price range. We were not satisfied with the food and especially with the service and even apologized to our customers. Therefore unfortunately no recommendation I only give it 3 stars because the ambience makes up for it

Unfortunately, yesterday was a total failure. My husband's fillet was more English instead of medium rare. After cutting it, he took it back to the kitchen and asked for it to be cooked until close. There I was sitting alone with my salmon, leaf spinach and baked potato... I also noticed as soon as I cut it that my salmon was still raw inside, which I couldn't eat. It was 10 minutes before the waiter next showed up and that was when he brought the meat back to our table. So he left with my salmon, but instead of just cooking it for 2-3 minutes, it was brought back after 16 minutes with the words... it's dead now. Unspeakable !!!!!.... I'll keep it short, ...cooking levels failed twice, my vegetables and potatoes were cold in the meantime, my husband was already full and we couldn't eat together. The same thing happened at the next table and they mixed up our pieces of salmon after they had been cooked to death... something like that doesn't work and can't be excused. I couldn't eat the completely overcooked salmon and had it taken off the bill. Unfortunately, another evening full of disappointment and we won't be going back. It really couldn't be worse... it's a shame

A very nice, spacious restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and spontaneous in meeting my individual requests. The food was excellent, super tasty and very appetizingly prepared. A straight A in school grade!!!

The steak was raw and had to be grilled again but then it tasted wonderful. The meis was also great and the sauces were great. We'd love to come back!

Nice atmosphere, I expected more from the food, it was okay but nothing more. Unfortunately service is just average... Danger! There are stands with QR codes on the tables, which you can use to rate the restaurant and a surprise was promised as a thank you. When we spoke to the waiter about it, he was just annoyed and we're still waiting for our "thank you"... The review was of course still happily accepted. I'm not interested in the surprise and we would certainly have given a rating without it. But then please don't promise anything that you can't keep or are comfortable with. Unfortunately I can only give 2 stars overall...

Meine Frau und hatten in Monheim was zu erledigen und beschlossen ins Holz und Feuer essen zu gehen. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Babyoktopuss und Babysepia; sehr lecker. Die Hauptspeise bestand für meine Frau Surf und Turf, für mich ein Ripeye Steak medium-rare. Es war genau auf den Punkt gegrillt. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es hat sich gelohnt dort einzukehren.

I ate at 'Holz & Feuer' at the end of June and was pleasantly surprised. The chef conjured up high-quality food, the service ran like clockwork and everyone from my circle of friends who dined with me had the same opinion: that this is one of the best restaurants in the area. The steak, for example, is stunningly good, we were very happy with everything.

It's a bit unfortunate to outsource the menu to such a "dubious" server where you can't get behind the VPN. I'll test how the food tastes soon.

Was kidnapped here for a birthday and would like to have another birthday and be kidnapped here again. The focus of the restaurant is steak and what can I say... They can do it! Card small and well balanced. Service was top. Whenever someone was nearby we asked if we needed anything. I think I'll kidnap my wife back there.

Ich habe eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet

Wir waren jetzt schon mehrfach hier essen. Das Essen ist in Ordnung, allerdings hatten wir nach dem letzten Mal leider eine Salmonellenvergiftung. Da ich schwanger war, hat sich das ganze sehr lange hingezogen. Der Service ist sehr höflich und ist immer in der Nähe, wenn man etwas braucht. Das Ambiente ist gut, allerdings hallt es sehr, wenn viele Leute da sind.

Service war echt unterirdisch. Sicher , das Lokal war sehr gut besucht und die Akustik sehr laut, aber wir haben geschlagene 1,5 Std. gewartet, ohne darauf hingewiesen zu werden, dass es länger dauern wird und OHNE irgendeine "Kleinigkeit" auf dem Tisch, so etwas wie Brot , Oliven, Butter, Dips oder ähnliches.... bei Nachfragen wurde der Kellner dann auch noch pampig.... ging gar nicht. UND tataaa , als das Essen schließlich dann doch noch kam (nach fast 2 Std.) fehlten die Steakmesser auf dem Tisch. Die mussten wir dann auch noch extra anfordern. WARUM macht man das nicht zumindest in der Wartezeit ?? Das Essen war durchweg gut, aber das reicht nicht, um hier nochmal hin zu gehen.... Schließlich erwartet man in einer gehobenen Preisklasse auch zumindest einigermaßen guten Service und will sich dann nicht um 21.30 Uhr sein Essen "reinziehen" und gehen, weil die Stimmung inzwischen auf dem Tiefpunkt ist. SICHERLICH NIE WIEDER!

Super freundliches Personal. Das Essen war lecker. Anregungen wurden bestmöglich und schnell gelöst. Die dort ausgerichtete Feier ist so zu einem angenehmen Erlebnis geworden, wo man sich wohl fühlte.

Wir sind regelmäßig dort und wurden bislang noch mit keinem Gericht enttäuscht. Klare Empfehlung!

Hier komme ich sehr gerne hien, zum Frühstück oder zum Abendessen. Hervorrragende Küche, überaus freundliches Personal, also rundum zufrieden.... Kann ich nur empfehlen...

Tijdens ons bezoek in Düsseldorf zijn wij doorgereden hiernaartoe en is ons prima bevallen. Vriendelijke gastvrouw en heer, snelle service en het eten was zeer goed te noemen. Spaghetti carbonara, Wiener schnitzel en hun huis steak a 400 gram…..allemaal heerlijk laten smaken en nette prijzen. Wij komen hier zeker nog eens terug als we weer in Düsseldorf of Keulen zijn.

Furchtbar, wir hatten für 18 Uhr einen Tisch reserviert. Nach 15 Minuten konnten wir ein Getränk bestellen. Das kam auch . Danach nichts mehr. Nachdem wir dann nochmal 15 Minuten warteten und es irgendwie schafften, die Aufmerksamkeit der Servicekraft zu bekommen, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass die Küche wegen Überlastung der Küche keine Bestellung annehmen könnte. Wartezeit circa 45 Minuten bis zur Bestellung. Wir sind dann gegangen. Kann ich niemanden empfehlen.

Wir hatten einen gemütlichen und kurzweiligen Abend mit unseren Freunden.

War jetzt schon mehrmals vor Ort und wurde leider bisher immer enttäuscht. Egal ob Fisch oder Fleisch, waren die Gerichte für das Preisverhältnis enttäuschend. Ich hatte mein Steak Medium bestellt und habe es Rare erhalten, meine Freunde haben anstatt Rare Medium erhalten oder gar Well done. Der Service war mittelmäßig, man war zwar bemüht, hat aber nicht wirklich zugehört und dann nur gesagt "dass es heute sehr viel sei"... Schade!

Wir waren mit 8 Personen dort, leider kam es mehrfach zu erheblich langen Wartezeiten. Erst wollte man unser Essen nicht aufnehmen da noch eine größere Gruppe vor uns bestellt hat und diese essen erst raus müssen.was völlig in Ordnung und richtig ist, wenn man es vernünftig kommuniziert und uns nicht einfach ignoriert.Dann saßen wir zweimal wirklich lange vor leeren Gläsern. Der Kellner schlich mehrfach durch den Raum ohne uns zu beachten. Nachdem die Herren am Tisch mit etwas bestimmender Stimme auf sich aufmerksam machten kam er dann doch mal. Natürlich teilten wir ihm mit, dass wir schon länger warten darauf erwiderte er: wie sie sehen, sind sie nicht die einzigen Gäste, nur damit sie Bescheid wissen…..richtig patzig Wir haben wirklich Verständnis und wissen, dass gerade Personen die in der Gastronomie arbeiten es nicht leicht haben….ABER sagt uns doch einfach von Anfang an: es tut uns leid wir haben heute wenig Personal bzw viele Gäste es könnte etwas länger dauern, wir bitten um ihr Verständnis Aber so zu arbeiten, schon fast ignorant und dann auch noch patzig werden, das geht nicht ! Die junge Frau war wirklich sehr bemüht und freundlich und das Essen war auch wirklich klasse!!!!dafür 5 Sterne Schade nur wenn ein Kellner dann den Abend vermiest

Es dauerte sehr lange, bis wir die Getränke bekamen. Ein Essen wurde vergessen und kam sehr spät... Jede Beilage muss extra bezahlt werden. Das Steak war sehr gut.Der Salat war gar nicht gut und die Kartoffelwürfel waren zum Teil halbe Pellkartoffeln, die nicht knusprig waren. Für das Geld gehe ich lieber woanders essen.....

Das Essen war sehr gut, wo das Hüftsteak eher fast durch als medium war, aber o. K., Beilagen reichlich und lecker, Dessert Tiramisu mit Vanilleeis war gut und toll angerichtet. Allerdings war der Service schlecht, fast eine Stunde lang keine Nachfrage ob noch Getränke gewünscht werden, nur nach mehrfacher Nachfrage, wo ich immer dachte das damit der größte Teil verdient wird. 😉☝️😣 Mehrfache Aufforderung nach der Rechnung. Einzig eine nette junge Dame war bemüht. Dem Herrn aus dem heutigen Service sollte vielleicht mal erklärt werden was Kundenservice heißt, anstatt an der Theke zu stehen und zu quatschen, den der Kunde bezahlt auch sein Gehalt. Sorry!
