The breakfast buffet on Saturday is great. Everything fresh and delicious. The service is great. All employees are friendly. Only the distance between the tables could be a little larger.

A great restaurant, whether breakfast, dinner or cocktails, everything is offered here. There is a great, large outdoor terrace, you feel comfortable here.

Came to eat for the first time today. We ordered something to eat, only small things to be exact. Waited 30 minutes for 3 things. Child was naturally restless, food was good, staff was ok.

I was there with my date and we had a drink outside. It was busy and loud. The tables could have been further apart. In the evening I saw two waiters, which seemed like very little for a full shop. Accordingly, it took a long time until one of the waiters came to our table. Because of the hectic pace, no one asked if everything was okay. I and my companion feel that even the smallest things can improve well-being and I count them under the point of friendliness. In summary, we wouldn't go again, although I liked the ambience, especially in the evening with the dimmed lights. Friendly service and shorter waiting times are more important to me.

The food has improved since I first ate here. The price and quality are good so far, but so far no food there has blown me away. You wait a little longer for your orders or the opportunity to order, but that's still within reason. The ambience is rustic, not too loud and depending on where you sit, it can be a bit more comfortable.

Not cheap but all good. Food, drink, everything freshly prepared and delicious. The service was quick and attentive, often at the table, quickly cleared and empty glasses taken away. Service-oriented and friendly.

The food was actually very tasty, but the service is not good at all. Wrong food, the employees had absolutely no desire to take orders. Every time we had to draw your attention to us. I work in the catering industry myself and I would never treat customers like that. We're definitely not coming back!

I have enjoyed eating at Café de Sol Krefeld in the past because of the lovely ambience and proximity to the zoo. For some time now I've noticed that people seem to be cutting corners on food. Today I was served a Pinsa, which will probably ensure that I will visit other chip shops in the future. Any cheap pizza from a discount store could have competed here. The nice waitress understood my complaint and can hardly do anything about it. She explained that they were in discussions with the headquarters but were receiving clear instructions from there. Please let us know if quality will be a criterion again.

We were guests as a large party and didn't have to wait long for our food. 👍 After dinner, no one came to ask if we wanted to drink something or pay, but we just did that ourselves as we walked to the exit. I would have expected a little more from the service. The food tasted great as always. But the portions are somehow getting smaller and smaller. The schnitzels were no bigger than half my hand. In terms of size, they seemed more like small breaded meatballs to me, and I found this portion for €18 a bit of a shame.

Food is too expensive in relation to quality, quantity, taste and effort..!

There wasn't enough sausage selection at the breakfast buffet, coffee wasn't great. Bread dry. But the worst thing was, we pre-ordered and we had a table that was so cramped that we could hardly move. When I asked if there was another table available, it was answered in the negative. Nothing free anymore. There were two tables behind us the whole time, about 2 hours. But the best thing I ever experienced was that just as we had three guests who came in after us without a reservation, they were given a beautiful table by the window. Sorry not recommended

Been to Cafe del Sol more often lately. There is still nothing to complain about in terms of the services offered. However, there are comments regarding the audience. On three days in quick succession, it was observed that groups of up to 30 people visited the restaurant together in the morning without having previously reserved or announced their arrival. Such behavior is impossible and does not put the restaurateur in a position to have sufficient service staff. Last time we left the restaurant in a hurry because the behavior of the hordes couldn't necessarily be described as respectful. Cheers to the service staff who had to face this rush and still remained calm and polite. Nevertheless, we always come back.

Great place and good service even when it's full.

The burgers we ordered were served cold. Burger and fries cold. We had them returned and got new ones. Cold again, or “lukewarm”. The two salads that were ordered at our table were a disgrace in terms of portion size. Many too few and then the mozzarella was also half frozen. For me it was the last time I was there. A pity.

Ordered milkshake. It tasted like a cold glass of milk with cocoa, nothing more. For that money, it's better to do it yourself at home.

Ich war mit zwei weiteren Personen zum Frühstück. Uns hätte ein Brötchen und ein Kaffee gereicht . Gibt es Samstag nicht ,man soll das Buffet nutzen . So haben wir für ein allenfalls durchschnittliches Frühstücksbuffet+Kaffee +1 Kaltgetränk über 20€ bezahl(pro Person), Bedienung unverschämt. Nie wieder!

We were there yesterday. I ordered schnitzel with fries and salad. Schnitzel breaded and taken out of the chest for 19 euros. I also expect quality and freshness for the price. Rarely have I had such a bad meal. My friend had Pinsa, despite the scissors that came with it She couldn't get the part cut open. The scissors broke in the process. The part was therefore inedible. We complained about it and didn't have to pay for it. We probably won't come back. The quality was just bad. You could have eaten even cheaper in a chip shop.

I think the food is pretty good! Unfortunately, the prices are so high and they “spoil” the entire package. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a reasonable restaurant with your partner or date, you are in good hands there.

The service was quick, clean and attentive. However, the food is dry... I ordered a Pisa... it was pretty dry... Otherwise the store looks good

After several years it was a try again.... Waited almost an hour for food.... Unfortunately the quality of the food was no longer as good as it used to be and the schnitzels were smaller but a lot more expensive than a few years ago.. . The service staff behind the counter could have calmly resoled their shoes, but the store was full! Our service, however, was very friendly and helpful. Five out of five high tables wobbled so much that we couldn't eat anything there... Unfortunately not really recommended anymore...

€24 plus drinks per person for breakfast is already awesome. The prices are now above hotel level. Drinks are overpriced.

Brunch is ok in terms of selection. The hot dishes are no exception.

The service doesn't pay attention to hand signals, doesn't completely set the table (cutlery was only available upon request), the food was cold and the pinsa was very small and not very seasoned for the price.

Despite the impressive size, it is built as a beautiful wooden structure and nicely furnished. However, the toilets are bad: far too narrow and not particularly well maintained. The service was very friendly and quick, the food in all courses (small starter, 2 x pasta, 1 x burger, dessert) was delicious. And at moderate prices. Recommended!

I was there for brunch with my girlfriend yesterday and we were super satisfied. We can definitely recommend the brunch here and will definitely come back. The staff was very attentive and friendly. An all-round successful visit, many thanks to the team!

Actually a fan of the cafe del Sol breakfast buffet (although in Moers and that has also worn off) we wanted to try the brunch buffet at the Krefelder del Sol today as a start to our vacation... But what was that? Brunch lasts until 2 p.m. (but there was only a small amount of refills) Okay, some of the breakfast items were looted (at 11 a.m. when we started) that was okay so far - but the warm lunch dishes? Alleged pork loin, which was rather dry roast pork, without sauce. completely overcooked Romanesco with dollops of hollandaise sauce. Beans with bacon that were far too al dente and had no taste. A roast turkey with sauce that was okay. Croquettes that were way too soft. Then gnocchi or pasta with the same simple tomato sauce. (and almost cold, as the Bemmis cannot be kept warm) So the brunch, for good money, is unfortunately underground. The del Sol in Krefeld will not see us again. The waitress tried hard, but that couldn't negate the rest. Only the coffee was good.

Generally comfortable to sit in. Service could be more attentive. Of course it also depends on who is currently working... The advantage is...you can always find a parking space...

Meine Cousine und ich hatten uns gestern eine Pinsa mit Spinat & Feta geteilt.. wir waren total schockiert über das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis: 14,90€ für eine kleine Pinsa mit ungenießbaren viel zu harten Rand. Salat & Nudeln waren ok. Aber für den Gesamtpreis können wir eindeutig besser essen gehen. Wir werden das nicht noch mal machen. Ambiente überzeugt leider zu laute Musik...

Ein paar Bestellungen wurden vergessen! Die Preise sind sehr teuer für kleine Portionen! Kellner sind unfreundlich und nicht aufmerksam! Nichts für mich! Nicht nochmal!

Great ambience, but at steep prices. Went here at lunchtime after visiting the zoo and ordered the turkey and veggie schnitzel. Both came super quickly with the drinks. We both liked it too, especially the fries and sauce were super tasty. But we were a bit surprised at the prices. 19€ for a schnitzel with fries is really crazy. Of course it tasted good, but for the price you can get a little more for your money elsewhere.

We were there yesterday for a schnitzel holiday. Food good as usual. Unfortunately service was very bad. From lipstick on the glass, a hair in the food, when we ordered the last round of burgers one was forgotten and we had to actively ask twice where the burger was. Ordered burger without tomato but got it with tomato. Wait until a waiter is in sight and then have to actively speak to him so that you can order. Next time we'll probably go to another CDS.

04/09/2024 After all these years of existence, a little cosmetic work has now been done on the interior. That helps a bit with the overall impression. The staff were very attentive on our last visit 6 weeks ago, even though the place was really full. We ate schnitzel there and were happy with it. However, we complained about the wilted lettuce and received fresh lettuce. There is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to renewing the equipment, but an improvement has already been achieved. We would like the process to continue.

We were completely satisfied, service, food, speed and also subtle inquiries as to whether we had any further wishes. We know the Café del Sol in Magdeburg, Krefeld was just as convincing.

We only had something to drink there, but the coffee, especially the latte macchiato and your cappuccino, still has a lot of room for improvement and the price also has room for a decrease.

We were here for the breakfast buffet/brunch. Everything fine. Very large selection of everything you can think of for breakfast. Vegans and vegetarians will also find a large selection here. There are also two main courses to choose from. Meat and fish. We enjoyed it and the service was great. We'd love to come back.

Very attentive, friendly and quick service. Food was tasty and portions were sufficient. An additional type of beer on tap couldn't hurt! All in all, it was a lovely, successful evening that we can repeat

Update: In the meantime, we have been to Café del Sol very often and have always been very satisfied, so I am happy to revise my rating back to 5 stars. We've been to you so many times for breakfast and at other times and have always been very satisfied, but this morning the waitress responsible for our table was unfriendly and rude. The waiting times were also sometimes unreasonable. It should be clear that there was no tip. However, the food was, as always, good.

The food was very tasty. My reservation wasn't there and we had to squeeze into another table that was too small. Otherwise the staff was absolutely inattentive. We had to wait a long time to order and were not asked if we wanted any more drinks. It's incredibly loud and crowded there.

Good breakfast with nice service!

The order once was a burger with feta and a Caesar salad with extra champions and chicken. In terms of price, the burger with fries was ok for around 15 euros. The salta was 20 euros, a bit steep. The taste of the dishes was average. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is beautifully furnished but has the character of a canteen due to the fact that it is a large room. So it was quite loud even though there were only a few guests there. There are enough parking spaces available.

Service takes a very long time. There was quite a wait before we could order drinks and then the food. Food was very tasty, nothing extraordinary, but good and fresh.

I thought potatoes with some quark for €10 were ok, and the wok bowl was also good. But 5 shrimps for 5.70 extra - no! I'll save that...

Unfortunately there were very long waiting times even though there weren't that many guests there and we only ordered drinks.

It's a chain, and it's more expensive that a lot of the restaurants in the city. But the portions are gigantic and the service is great.

The service staff don't seem particularly attentive or motivated. The food is 0-8-15. Ambiance ok.

Because there is only a buffet on Sundays, there is a very small selection and not worth a visit for the price. Were there today, 40 minutes before the end of the buffet nothing was refilled, yes I asked and was told that nothing more would be refilled. I would prefer to select -1☆ for service and food, but unfortunately that's not possible.

There is food for carnivores and vegans, big and small children. Depending on the dish, sometimes lavish and sometimes well. The prices here are mid-range, but it tastes good. Service sometimes takes quite a long time here, but this can also be due to a lack of staff, like almost everywhere. Otherwise, everyone should form their own opinion, as everyone's tastes are different.
