Everything perfect, happy again

We come over regularly for breakfast. The food is varied and delicious. The price is also absolutely right. The store is dog friendly. The staff is competent. Michael in particular deserves special mention. He's also in a great mood when he's on duty on the weekends and enriches the café with his absolutely friendly manner. We'll be back.

We had a great time here. Brunch with my girls. It was delicious...VERY delicious! The service was good and the location was absolutely beautiful.

Been to Cafe del Sol more often lately. There is still nothing to complain about in terms of the services offered. However, there are comments regarding the audience. On three days in quick succession, it was observed that groups of up to 30 people visited the restaurant together in the morning without having previously reserved or announced their arrival. Such behavior is impossible and does not put the restaurateur in a position to have sufficient service staff. Last time we left the restaurant in a hurry because the behavior of the hordes couldn't necessarily be described as respectful. Cheers to the service staff who had to face this rush and still remained calm and polite. Nevertheless, we always come back.

Ample parking and a nice atmosphere. Brunch was varied and delicious. We were there in a larger group and the billing was correct, which isn't the case everywhere! Since I had already had my first breakfast, I actually just wanted scrambled eggs from the menu, but I wasn't allowed. All or nothing. All drinks are extra, even coffee.

Das Angebot wurde gegenüber früher stark eingeschränkt. Das Rührei wurde mich Milch zubereitet. Auf Nachfrage, ob man uns ein Rührei ohne Milch wegen einer Unverträglichkeit zubereiten könnte, wurde uns leider eine Abfuhr erteilt. Das würden Sie nicht machen, hieß es. Sehr schade, dass hier auf Unverträglichkeiten nicht eingegangen wird. Frisches Obst sucht man hier vergeblich. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, es gibt Obstsalat. Das warme Essen war teilweise kalt und das Fleisch hart. Brunch am Sonntag kann ich nicht empfehlen.

Good service and delicious food

We were at Café Del Sol in Krefeld and sat on the terrace. There were several auxiliary heaters there. We asked a waitress if she could turn one of these on. Her answer was: “Unfortunately they are defective.” I then asked: “Aren’t the heaters usable independently of each other?” To which she replied: “Yes, well, the boss says that they have been defective for two years and that he wants to take care of it.” 🤣 Honestly, if you don't notice that your boss is simply stingy, you can't help it! Of course, this primarily affects smokers, but as a non-smoker who accompanies my smoking friends, I would also like a little more hospitality and a feel-good atmosphere. Or am I seeing this wrong? You pay for the ambience and service when you order! And Café del Sol isn't the cheapest place! So I'm not going there anymore. 😊

Very large restaurant. I would recommend making a reservation, especially on Friday evening. Food was ok. Service very friendly and pleasant. A little too loud for my taste but overall a good experience.

Rude service here talks to me about house rights and that we have no right to choose a seat, became disrespectful and raised his voice

The burger patty was frozen, pressed together and just didn't taste good! The schnitzel for €20 was very dry and didn't taste particularly good either. The staff and the ambience were good. So we don't come here to eat anymore. The burgers from a fast food chain taste better than here! Edit to her answer: Dear owner, neither the freshness nor the quality was right. Just don't go there. Staff can't manage to serve you when the store is half full You're better off in any corner bar. It's better to leave your money somewhere else, you don't want to make money there. The worst service I've ever seen.

There were four of us and we had the breakfast buffet. This was very large and also very well positioned. There was something for everyone and the descriptions of the dishes were excellent. In general the price-performance ratio is good. The food and drinks are tasty and the quantities are okay. It's just sometimes very loud because of the music, so that you almost feel like you're in a club and conversations are sometimes not possible, but that has to do with the staff and their current taste in music.

We had reserved a table for a class reunion. The corner for 8 people was optimal. It was very easy to have a conversation. The drinks and food were very good. Café del Sol has a good vegan selection, many of the sauces and dips are vegan and some dishes are customizable. It is quite loud here in the evenings. There are always season tickets with great drinks and varied dishes. There is a huge parking lot in front of the door and it takes about 7 minutes to walk to the train station. The restaurant is also suitable for larger groups

We were there yesterday. It's really very nice there - stylish! - and high-quality, tasteful furnishings. All areas of the large guest area were inviting and bright and invited you to linger. The service was attentive, funny and charming. The menu is innovative and promising. So far so good. Unfortunately, the dishes we tried were of poor quality and craftsmanship. Price-performance not good. That was very disappointing. You won't find a high-quality beer on the menu. My companion asked me not to formulate the criticism.

I like Café del Sol and would go there again and again. The coffee tastes good and you can sit there well. The service in Krefeld wasn't as attentive as I'm used to from other places.

What bothered me a bit was that the tables weren't cleaned immediately, there were edges from the glasses on the table top, and the leftovers from the floor at the neighboring table could have been swept away. I was there with my date and we had a drink outside. It was busy and loud. The tables could have been further apart. In the evening I saw two waiters, which seemed like very little for a full shop. Accordingly, it took a long time until one of the waiters came to our table. Because of the hectic pace, no one asked if everything was okay. I and my companion feel that even the smallest things can improve well-being and I count them under the point of friendliness. In summary, we wouldn't go again, although I liked the ambience, especially in the evening with the dimmed lights. Friendly service and shorter waiting times are more important to me.

The food has improved since I first ate here. The price and quality are good so far, but so far no food there has blown me away. The ambience is rustic, not too loud and depending on where you sit, it can be a bit more comfortable.

I have enjoyed eating at Café de Sol Krefeld in the past because of the lovely ambience and proximity to the zoo. For some time now I've noticed that people seem to be cutting corners on food. Today I was served a Pinsa, which will probably ensure that I will visit other chip shops in the future. Any cheap pizza from a discount store could have competed here. The nice waitress understood my complaint and can hardly do anything about it. She explained that they were in discussions with the headquarters but were receiving clear instructions from there. Please let us know if quality will be a criterion again.

We were guests as a large party and didn't have to wait long for our food. 👍 After dinner, no one came to ask if we wanted to drink something or pay, but we just did that ourselves as we walked to the exit. I would have expected a little more from the service. The food tasted great as always. But the portions are somehow getting smaller and smaller. The schnitzels were no bigger than half my hand. In terms of size, they seemed more like small breaded meatballs to me, and I found this portion for €18 a bit of a shame.

There wasn't enough sausage selection at the breakfast buffet, coffee wasn't great. Bread dry. But the worst thing was, we pre-ordered and we had a table that was so cramped that we could hardly move. When I asked if there was another table available, it was answered in the negative. Nothing free anymore. There were two tables behind us the whole time, about 2 hours. But the best thing I ever experienced was that just as we had three guests who came in after us without a reservation, they were given a beautiful table by the window. Sorry not recommended

The burgers we ordered were served cold. Burger and fries cold. We had them returned and got new ones. Cold again, or “lukewarm”. The two salads that were ordered at our table were a disgrace in terms of portion size. Many too few and then the mozzarella was also half frozen. For me it was the last time I was there. A pity.

Ordered milkshake. It tasted like a cold glass of milk with cocoa, nothing more. For that money, it's better to do it yourself at home.

Ich war mit zwei weiteren Personen zum Frühstück. Uns hätte ein Brötchen und ein Kaffee gereicht . Gibt es Samstag nicht ,man soll das Buffet nutzen . So haben wir für ein allenfalls durchschnittliches Frühstücksbuffet+Kaffee +1 Kaltgetränk über 20€ bezahl(pro Person), Bedienung unverschämt. Nie wieder!

We were there yesterday. I ordered schnitzel with fries and salad. Schnitzel breaded and taken out of the chest for 19 euros. I also expect quality and freshness for the price. Rarely have I had such a bad meal. My friend had Pinsa, despite the scissors that came with it She couldn't get the part cut open. The scissors broke in the process. The part was therefore inedible. We complained about it and didn't have to pay for it. We probably won't come back. The quality was just bad. You could have eaten even cheaper in a chip shop.

I think the food is pretty good! Unfortunately, the prices are so high and they “spoil” the entire package. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a reasonable restaurant with your partner or date, you are in good hands there.

Unfortunately the quality of the food was no longer as good as it used to be and the schnitzels were smaller but a lot more expensive than a few years ago.. . The service staff behind the counter could have calmly resoled their shoes, but the store was full! Our service, however, was very friendly and helpful. Five out of five high tables wobbled so much that we couldn't eat anything there... Unfortunately not really recommended anymore...

The service doesn't pay attention to hand signals, doesn't completely set the table (cutlery was only available upon request), the food was cold and the pinsa was very small and not very seasoned for the price.

Despite the impressive size, it is built as a beautiful wooden structure and nicely furnished. However, the toilets are bad: far too narrow and not particularly well maintained. The service was very friendly and quick, the food in all courses (small starter, 2 x pasta, 1 x burger, dessert) was delicious. And at moderate prices. Recommended!

Actually a fan of the cafe del Sol breakfast buffet (although in Moers and that has also worn off) we wanted to try the brunch buffet at the Krefelder del Sol today as a start to our vacation... But what was that? Brunch lasts until 2 p.m. (but there was only a small amount of refills) Okay, some of the breakfast items were looted (at 11 a.m. when we started) that was okay so far - but the warm lunch dishes? Alleged pork loin, which was rather dry roast pork, without sauce. completely overcooked Romanesco with dollops of hollandaise sauce. Beans with bacon that were far too al dente and had no taste. A roast turkey with sauce that was okay. Croquettes that were way too soft. Then gnocchi or pasta with the same simple tomato sauce. (and almost cold, as the Bemmis cannot be kept warm) So the brunch, for good money, is unfortunately underground. The del Sol in Krefeld will not see us again. The waitress tried hard, but that couldn't negate the rest. Only the coffee was good.

Generally comfortable to sit in. Service could be more attentive. Of course it also depends on who is currently working... The advantage is...you can always find a parking space...
