When it's full, it's uncomfortably loud and cramped. That was the case for us. Otherwise, it's great. The food is delicious. Overall, it's quite expensive, but that's no better at other chains. The staff is very friendly!

I like the atmosphere, and you can enjoy pleasant meals and cocktails in various areas. Breakfast is highly recommended, but be sure to reserve in advance.

The food is good, and the atmosphere is very nice, although a bit noisy. However, I've been disappointed by the service twice now. It seems impossible to get a correct bill at the end. Either food from another table was included (unfortunately unnoticed), or items were missing, requiring separate billing. Everything took an incredibly long time because only one person was allowed to handle the bill, but they also had to serve dozens of other tables. And four others were standing around at the bar. Not recommended as a place for company dinners.

I always enjoy going to Cafe del Sol. There's something for everyone on the menu, a wide selection of drinks, and great food from light snacks to lunch and dinner. Very efficient and friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere – everything is perfect 😊

Unfortunately, my Sunday was ruined today. It was our first time there, and instead of vodka, they brought us plain water. Instead of apologizing, they rudely explained that the bottle was just for decoration. Seriously, think twice before ordering cocktails there.

Here, people are being banned from the premises and threatened with having to pay for food they didn't eat because they were banned due to their toddler (3 years old) being too loud. Otherwise, the police would have been called.

We had a very pleasant lunch at Cafe del Sol today after visiting the nearby zoo. Four adults, four children, no reservation, and hungry :-). We had barely entered the dining room when the waitress had already pushed together four tables where all eight of us could sit. There seems to be something for everyone on the menu, and the food arrived quickly. Although we were already quite full, almost everyone ordered dessert. In short: This is how it should be; the overall rating with all the stars speaks for itself. Next time we visit the zoo, we'll probably all want to come back here.

As a regular customer, I've always felt very comfortable here. Today, however, it was a complete disaster. The staff, who apparently haven't been working at the restaurant long, or perhaps aren't part of the staff I've seen many times before, were blatantly gossiping about guests, completely ruining any enjoyment I might have had at Cafe del Sol Krefeld. Up until now, they've always placed great emphasis on hospitality and made sure that bullying of any kind was prevented (I was even present when such behavior was stopped between guests). But for it to now be initiated by the staff themselves was very disappointing. Unfortunately, I can't even give the food a good rating anymore, as such behavior completely puts me off my food. What a shame.

I always enjoyed going to Café de Sol in Krefeld, but unfortunately, not anymore after tonight. It's absolutely unacceptable when new staff members bully guests loudly enough for everyone to hear, and then even laugh and point at you. It completely ruins your appetite and makes you feel uncomfortable. I definitely won't be going back to Café de Sol in Krefeld.

Unfortunately, one star. This is the second time that, despite reserving a seat for people with limited mobility, this hasn't been accommodated. There's definitely no alternative outside today in 15 degrees and rain! The food (I've been there before) isn't great either, just like a chain restaurant... Not good value for money!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We spontaneously went to Café del Sol in Krefeld this early evening – and it was absolutely worth it! 😊 The portions are really large and freshly prepared, so we left feeling completely satisfied and full. The ambiance is very nice and cozy; you immediately feel at home. We were especially pleased that they even serve Berliner Weisse – a wonderful surprise. 🍹 The service was also great: our waitress was very friendly and attentive. All in all, a very successful visit – we'll be happy to come back and can only recommend Café del Sol! 👏

For a café, they make very poor coffee. I definitely can't recommend the waffles at these prices.

The food is always good. I go there quite often. On weekends, you should make a reservation with a group of people, as it gets quite busy. Four stars because it can get quite loud at times, making it difficult to have a proper conversation. I can only rate the ambiance and staff highly.

The service was pleasant, but unfortunately not paying attention – parts of the order were forgotten. The Caesar salad I ordered was disappointing: a side salad was larger, and it was soggy and didn't include the extras I ordered, which were served later (Parmesan in a really small mini bowl, the roasted chicken was placed on a thick bed of parsley to make it look like a lot). The fries with mayo and drinks (a small shandy and a crema coffee) were okay. In total, I paid €30.10 – far too expensive for the quality offered. Café del Sol used to be good, but unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined. Therefore, for a planned brunch with guests, I'll look elsewhere. For a good portion of fries with mayo, I can also go to a snack bar; it's definitely much cheaper, even if you have a coffee and a shandy there.

A very nice café, friendly staff, and good service characterize the Café Del Sol in Krefeld. Plenty of parking and a central location. The food and drinks were delicious and affordable. Ordered ice cream with caramel and ice cubes instead of ice cream... what came... lukewarm ice cream with two ice cubes... When we asked if we could have more ice cubes, we were told we were out... I feel sorry for the guests who have to "enjoy" their cocktails without ice cubes. Sorry, but running out of ice cubes at around 9 p.m. on a Friday is unacceptable... If necessary, go to Shell and buy more.

I always enjoyed going there. Unfortunately, I don't anymore because they don't offer senior citizen plates. I wanted a children's plate, but they only serve them. I don't see why I should pay €18 and barely eat half. I don't take away. Who likes reheated fries?

A really cool place with a chilled atmosphere! You immediately feel at home at Café del Sol Krefeld – whether for lunch or in the evening with friends. The food? Insanely delicious! 😍 I especially recommend the Pinsa Chicken Caesar – super crispy and freshly topped. The Avocado Chicken Fries are also amazing – perfectly seasoned and really filling. They're also great at pasta: The Pasta Aglio is beautifully spicy with plenty of garlic, and the Pasta Spezia is simply next level – creamy, spicy, delicious! The value for money is good, and the service is relaxed and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

The cafe has a lovely atmosphere, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, despite sitting inside, we still had to breathe in all the cigarette smoke from outside, which was really unpleasant. There were seven of us at a birthday party, all eating inside and bringing our own cake. We had to pay extra for that. If we'd only eaten cake, it would have been understandable. But having to pay extra for plates after a full meal is excessive.

The staff lacked a sense of customer service, and the coffee was cold and therefore very bitter. The food was edible, but it could have been better. It seemed very dirty and not very cozy.

For me, the price and quality of the food don't match. When the place is very busy, service is either particularly frequent or simply stops altogether. Restrooms are really small. Personally, Café del Sol doesn't appeal to me.

Today wasn't our first visit to this place. The price/performance ratio wasn't particularly good before. Today, however, was the icing on the cake! You get the impression that the already not-so-large portions have become tiny. €35 for a tiny pot of feta, cherry tomatoes, olives, leeks, shrimp, and two pieces of baguette that were already dried out on one side. Plus chili cheese fries with a dollop of con carne and a bit of cheese sauce, plus mayo and two drinks. That's a bit over the top for our standards. It's a shame, because the seating there is very pleasant, and the young lady who served us was super nice and accommodating!

Recommended, if you really want non-alcoholic beer, you have to do your research beforehand!

Cafe del Sol has the same problem as Café Extrablatt: a menu that tries to offer a bit of everything, but doesn't do anything particularly well. The BBQ burger wasn't tasty at all. The meat was very well-done and the brioche bun was way too sweet. The so-called "homemade" lemonade tasted like Ahoi Brause dissolved in water. The sweet potato fries were okay. For the price, you simply get better quality. The desire to be better than others is really failing here. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Of course, they can't be held responsible for the quality if they don't buy high-quality ingredients.

A sophisticated standard and atmosphere, which is very rare for Krefeld! Sure, there's always the occasional "mishap," but the way they handle constructive criticism and try to make amends is exemplary and simply fantastic! Thanks for that! :)

A Belgian waffle with a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream for that price is simply unacceptable. Chocolate ice cream with whipped cream, too. The quality doesn't match the exorbitant prices. We'll never go there again.

We sat on the terrace in the sun and enjoyed a leisurely meal.

A classic chain; if you know one, you know them all. The food isn't your average restaurant, but it's simple – nicely garnished and visually appealing. We had really friendly service, but it was a bit more "distant" inside. It's loud – and crowded. Reservations are definitely recommended! Mostly young people under 30.

The service staff are super friendly, the food arrives piping hot, and it tastes amazing. And that's despite the fact that Café del Sol was quite busy. That's why we're happy to come back to Krefeld from the Wittgenstein. Thank you for the wonderful service.

We ordered nachos and a drink. For the nachos, we had to pay an extra €1.20 to get a sauce other than salsa. The sauce was also very small. My drink didn't arrive after 20 minutes, so I politely asked if it would arrive. The waitress acknowledged me, but another 20 minutes later, my drink still hadn't arrived.

Good food, unfortunately breakfast is sometimes a bit short

We were here yesterday after a long time, and it was the same as always. The food was okay, everything fresh, but you can get better quality elsewhere. The service was very friendly and quick, and we still really like the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the passion fruit vanilla iced tea wasn't good at all; it was completely watery, as you can see. It tasted like water with vanilla syrup. Overall, a nice visit, but in terms of taste, there are better alternatives for us.

The big advantage here is that you can have a drink or eat here late in the evening without a reservation. The food is okay so far. The service varies, but most are friendly. When it's very crowded it's really noisy. In summer you can sit outside on the terrace. There are enough parking spaces available.

I wanted to get a coffee but after waiting for 10 minutes I gave up and went to McDonald's to get a coffee.

So, last attempt next Saturday for breakfast. Hopefully we'll be assigned a reasonable spot and not directly to the right of the exit where you'll feel like you're sitting in a cramped box. You think in business terms, more tables, more guests, more sales. But it is calculated incorrectly. The more feel-good factor for the customers, the more often they come back and the more they drink, because you earn the most with drinks. Example, 2 cappuccinos for 7.20 you get almost 500 grams from Tchibo. But that's not the point. Don't hold everything so tightly and turn up the volume control because you can no longer hear the guests, especially screaming and raging children where the parents can't get their way and groups of house mothers shouting. We were here for the breakfast buffet/brunch. Everything tip top. Very large selection of everything you can think of for breakfast. Vegans and vegetarians will also find a large selection here. There are also two main courses to choose from. Meat and fish and vegetarian. We enjoyed it and the service was great. We'd love to come back.

Worth recommending. Very good and a lot of silky food, the table reservation is easy and quick to get.
