We were there on February 14, 2025. The food was really tasty, but the highlight was the great service (Alex). The woman really had everything under control and was extremely friendly and accommodating.

So first I have to say thank you to Alex for this excellent service. She was super attentive and did a really good job. It was really crowded yesterday but we still had a nice evening. It's always a little noisy but the food was once again really good.

I have visited the restaurant in Krefeld several times and will always come back to this place... the food ordered comes very quickly, special requests are taken into account and adhered to, the staff is friendly and attentive (when the beer is empty then the beer is new) very pleasant.. . Feel-good atmosphere like in the other locations...gladly again Addendum from October 26th: Service continues to be very ambitious and attentive, food is served quickly and hot and requests are always taken into account. The store is also recommended.

We were given dirty coasters and there was a dirty wooden skewer in my drink. The drinks barely taste like water to me. The food is half-heartedly prepared. The prices are very high. Price performance is definitely not right. The store in Krefeld is not recommended.

A nice place to eat and get together every now and then

Extremely negative, we had reserved with 6 people on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. Ate and drank then suddenly around 6 p.m. we were rudely asked to leave because the table had been reserved again. Extremely inappropriate and unprofessional.

Like every Café Del Sol, the food is good you can always find a seat. A good choice for lunch at lunchtime. In the evening it is more suitable for drinking. Overall average, price performance is ok. For a system restaurant, Café Del Sol is one of the better ones for me.

Wanted to have breakfast in the store today and had my Westie (6kg small dog) with me. So shortly after 11:30 we went into the shop with the background noise of a train station waiting room, sat down at a table, put a small blanket on the floor for the dog (which unfortunately wasn't exactly clean - my dog ​​would have been fed up with the leftover food under the table ) and waited for service. After a few minutes the service came. Unfortunately, breakfast "Á la carte" is only available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and on Saturdays only "breakfast and brunch buffet". But the buffet doesn't work with a young dog, so the friendly waitress' recommendation was "wait 15 minutes until 12 p.m. and then you can order from the lunch menu. Real??? Not with me, so GOODBYE and at least for me it's taken off the coffee and restaurant list and no problem, I can spend my money elsewhere.

In particular, our waitress Nona made the visit more enjoyable! A very nice charisma and always courteous.

We went to the restaurant for brunch yesterday. The selection was varied, but we were not that satisfied with the quality, service and availability. Cheese was only packaged goods. Many things were not available. There were no scrambled eggs in 3 attempts. Rolls and butter were also not available in between. The selection of bread rolls is small. I didn't find any grain rolls. The hot food was also sold out several times, i.e. there were many empty containers at the same time. It was basically delivered later, but it took a very long time and cannot keep up with the service in comparable restaurants. Our dirty plates, glasses and cups were only cleared away when asked, even though there was a considerable pile on the table. It was also annoying that all drinks had to be paid for separately and children aged 9 and over had to pay in full. The two 9 year old children were clearly too expensive. So the price-performance ratio wasn't right for us at all.

The service was very good. The atmosphere is very cool. However, the food was a disaster. I had spare ribs. They were completely pale and looked more steamed than baked or grilled. They were also salty and one strand had not had its silver skin removed. Absolute no-go! Charging almost €20 for this is outrageous. I would even pay more, but it was absolute crap and not worth a cent. It's a real shame that a food item is so messed up. So Café del Sol is done for me. System gastronomy is better.

That's fine, it was never recommended for food. Perfect for a coffee or a snack. Although the bowl was good recently. The brunch was just ok, especially because of the price. Very expensive. The three of us, with one child, paid half for brunch with a few drinks, including a large bottle of water, which cost €80. I didn't like lunch at brunch. The pork fillet was dry and the sauce it was in tasted bitter. At least there were enough options to choose from...

The breakfast buffet is always great. Breakfast for 2 can also include 2 small bowls of yoghurt include, you don't just eat there as a couple and you might prefer to eat your own. Requests are taken into account, e.g. scrambled eggs instead of boiled eggs. Attentive and always friendly staff.

I'm disappointed and today's visit doesn't demand a repeat. We were there with several people today and after ordering the drinks, the drinks were served quite quickly - the only shame was that exactly one glass was missing, although the always friendly service person said straight away that she would pass on the missing glass. After she walked past our table several times without the promised glass and 15 minutes had passed, we organized the missing glass ourselves. Then we ordered the dishes - as a so-called starter (this is specifically stated in the menu), we ordered a house bread, and we also ordered the main courses. After a short wait we received everything together, i.e. starter and main course - somehow it doesn't make sense and that's not how we wanted it. Unfortunately, there have already been reviews here regarding the questionable meal sequence, but you can see that the problem has not been resolved to date. It was also quite loud, which was probably due to the "background music", which could be heard so clearly that every guest at every table tried to speak against it and thus every guest drowned out all the other guests at the other tables. For us, this location is the end of it.

Everything perfect, happy again

We come over regularly for breakfast. The food is varied and delicious. The price is also absolutely right. The store is dog friendly. The staff is competent. Michael in particular deserves special mention. He's also in a great mood on weekends and enriches the café with his absolutely friendly manner. We'll be back.

We had a great time here. Brunch with my girls. It was delicious...VERY delicious! The service was good and the location was absolutely beautiful.

Been to Cafe del Sol more often lately. There is still nothing to complain about in terms of the services offered. However, there are comments regarding the audience. On three days in quick succession, it was observed that groups of up to 30 people visited the restaurant together in the morning without having previously reserved or announced their arrival. Such behavior is impossible and does not put the restaurateur in a position to have sufficient service staff. Last time we left the restaurant in a hurry because the behavior of the hordes couldn't necessarily be described as respectful. Cheers to the service staff who had to face this rush and still remained calm and polite. Nevertheless, we always come back.

Ample parking and a nice atmosphere. Brunch was varied and delicious. We were there in a larger group and the billing was correct, which isn't the case everywhere! Since I had already had my first breakfast, I actually just wanted scrambled eggs from the menu, but I wasn't allowed. All or nothing. All drinks are extra, even coffee.

Auf Nachfrage, ob man uns ein Rührei ohne Milch wegen einer Unverträglichkeit zubereiten könnte, wurde uns leider eine Abfuhr erteilt. Das würden Sie nicht machen, hieß es. Sehr schade, dass hier auf Unverträglichkeiten nicht eingegangen wird. Frisches Obst sucht man hier vergeblich. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, es gibt Obstsalat. Das warme Essen war teilweise kalt und das Fleisch hart. Brunch am Sonntag kann ich nicht empfehlen.

You pay for the ambience and service when you order! And Café del Sol isn't the cheapest place! So I'm not going there anymore. 😊

The burger patty was frozen, pressed together and just didn't taste good! The schnitzel for €20 was very dry and didn't taste particularly good either. The staff and the ambience were good. We had reserved a table for a class reunion. The corner for 8 people was optimal. It was very easy to have a conversation. The drinks and food were very good. I have enjoyed eating at Café de Sol Krefeld in the past because of the lovely ambience and proximity to the zoo. For some time now I've noticed that people seem to be cutting corners on food. Today I was served a Pinsa, which will probably ensure that I will visit other chip shops in the future. Any cheap pizza from a discount store could have competed here. The nice waitress understood my complaint and can hardly do anything about it. She explained that they were in discussions with the headquarters but were receiving clear instructions from there. Please let us know if quality will be a criterion again.

We were guests as a large party and didn't have to wait long for our food. 👍 After dinner, no one came to ask if we wanted to drink something or pay, but we just did that ourselves as we walked to the exit. I would have expected a little more from the service. The food tasted great as always. But the portions are somehow getting smaller and smaller. The schnitzels were no bigger than half my hand. In terms of size, they seemed more like small breaded meatballs to me, and I found this portion for €18 a bit of a shame.

There wasn't enough sausage selection at the breakfast buffet, coffee wasn't great. Bread dry. But the worst thing was, we pre-ordered and we had a table that was so cramped that we could hardly move. When I asked if there was another table available, it was answered in the negative. Nothing free anymore. There were two tables behind us the whole time, about 2 hours. But the best thing I ever experienced was that just as we had three guests who came in after us without a reservation, they were given a beautiful table by the window. Sorry not recommended

Great place and good service even when it's full.

The burgers we ordered were served cold. Burger and fries cold. We had them returned and got new ones. Cold again, or “lukewarm”. The two salads that were ordered at our table were a disgrace in terms of portion size. Many too few and then the mozzarella was also half frozen. For me it was the last time I was there. A pity.

Ordered milkshake. It tasted like a cold glass of milk with cocoa, nothing more. For that money, it's better to do it yourself at home.

So haben wir für ein allenfalls durchschnittliches Frühstücksbuffet+Kaffee +1 Kaltgetränk über 20€ bezahl(pro Person), Bedienung unverschämt. Nie wieder!

We were there yesterday. I ordered schnitzel with fries and salad. Schnitzel breaded and taken out of the chest for 19 euros. I also expect quality and freshness for the price. Rarely have I had such a bad meal. My friend had Pinsa, despite the scissors that came with it She couldn't get the part cut open. The scissors broke in the process. The part was therefore inedible. We complained about it and didn't have to pay for it. We probably won't come back. The quality was just bad. You could have eaten even cheaper in a chip shop.

I think the food is pretty good! Unfortunately, the prices are so high and they “spoil” the entire package. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a reasonable restaurant with your partner or date, you are in good hands there.
