It's been a long time since we've been back in Krefeld. The renovations have made it look really cozy. The food was OK, and the service was great.

Tasty food, portions were big and cocktails were very delicious. Shicel Cafe de Sol was so nice.

The food is very tasty and inexpensive. However, the coffee and juices are a bit small for the price.

The staff is very friendly and available when you need something. The dinner portions are generous and delicious.

Parking is easy! Friendly welcome. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Sufficiently large premises. Great meal. We were there on Sunday morning for breakfast. Reservations recommended for Sunday morning. Highly recommended.

A really cool place with a chilled atmosphere! You immediately feel at home at Café del Sol Krefeld – whether for lunch or in the evening with friends. The food? Insanely delicious! 😍 I especially recommend the Pinsa Chicken Caesar – super crispy and freshly topped. The Avocado Chicken Fries are also amazing – perfectly seasoned and really filling. They're also great at pasta: The Pasta Aglio is beautifully spicy with plenty of garlic, and the Pasta Spezia is simply next level – creamy, spicy, delicious! The value for money is good, and the service is relaxed and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Nice ambiance, with a strong smell of beer inside. The meat was slightly overcooked, but otherwise everything was very fresh. The main course unfortunately arrived very late. The staff were friendly, though.

The cafe has a lovely atmosphere, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, despite sitting inside, we still had to breathe in all the cigarette smoke from outside, which was really unpleasant. There were seven of us at a birthday party, all eating inside and bringing our own cake. We had to pay extra for that. If we'd only eaten cake, it would have been understandable. But having to pay extra for plates after a full meal is excessive.

The staff lacked a sense of customer service, and the coffee was cold and therefore very bitter. The food was edible, but it could have been better. It seemed very dirty and not very cozy.

For me, the price and quality of the food don't match. When the place is very busy, service is either particularly frequent or simply stops altogether. Restrooms are really small. Personally, Café del Sol doesn't appeal to me.

Today wasn't our first visit to this place. The price/performance ratio wasn't particularly good before. Today, however, was the icing on the cake! You get the impression that the already not-so-large portions have become tiny. €35 for a tiny pot of feta, cherry tomatoes, olives, leeks, shrimp, and two pieces of baguette that were already dried out on one side. Plus chili cheese fries with a dollop of con carne and a bit of cheese sauce, plus mayo and two drinks. That's a bit over the top for our standards. It's a shame, because the seating there is very pleasant, and the young lady who served us was super nice and accommodating!

Recommended, if you really want non-alcoholic beer, you have to do your research beforehand!

We were at Café de Sol today and were unfortunately very disappointed. Even the drink had serious defects: The raspberry iced tea contained several raspberries with visible mold, which was completely unhygienic. What was particularly annoying was that four of us had already tasted it from the glass before we even noticed the mold. Furthermore, the glass was damaged – that simply doesn't suit a café of this category. The food was also disappointing. We were looking forward to a waffle, but it didn't taste great, especially not at this price. Overall, the visit was unfortunately not a pleasant experience for us. For a café with this reputation, we would have expected significantly higher quality and attention to detail.

Cafe del Sol has the same problem as Café Extrablatt: a menu that tries to offer a bit of everything, but doesn't do anything particularly well. The BBQ burger wasn't tasty at all. The meat was very well-done and the brioche bun was way too sweet. The so-called "homemade" lemonade tasted like Ahoi Brause dissolved in water. The sweet potato fries were okay. For the price, you simply get better quality. The desire to be better than others is really failing here. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Of course, they can't be held responsible for the quality if they don't buy high-quality ingredients.

The service was excellent, but that couldn't make up for the terrible food. The quality could definitely be improved for the price.

A sophisticated standard and atmosphere, which is very rare for Krefeld! Sure, there's always the occasional "mishap," but the way they handle constructive criticism and try to make amends is exemplary and simply fantastic! Thanks for that! :)

A Belgian waffle with a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream for that price is simply unacceptable. Chocolate ice cream with whipped cream, too. The quality doesn't match the exorbitant prices. We'll never go there again.

The service staff are super friendly, the food arrives piping hot, and it tastes amazing. And that's despite the fact that Café del Sol was quite busy. That's why we're happy to come back to Krefeld from the Wittgenstein. Thank you for the wonderful service.

A classic chain; if you know one, you know them all. The food isn't your average restaurant, but it's simple – nicely garnished and visually appealing. We had really friendly service, but it was a bit more "distant" inside. It's loud – and crowded. Reservations are definitely recommended! Mostly young people under 30.

We ordered nachos and a drink. For the nachos, we had to pay an extra €1.20 to get a sauce other than salsa. The sauce was also very small. My drink didn't arrive after 20 minutes, so I politely asked if it would arrive. The waitress acknowledged me, but another 20 minutes later, my drink still hadn't arrived.

BBQ Burger is highly recommended ^^

We were here yesterday after a long time, and it was the same as always. The food was okay, everything fresh, but you can get better quality elsewhere. The service was very friendly and quick, and we still really like the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the passion fruit vanilla iced tea wasn't good at all; it was completely watery, as you can see. It tasted like water with vanilla syrup. Overall, a nice visit, but in terms of taste, there are better alternatives for us.

I wanted to get a coffee but after waiting for 10 minutes I gave up and went to McDonald's to get a coffee.

The big advantage here is that you can have a drink or eat here late in the evening without a reservation. The food is okay so far. The service varies, but most are friendly. When it's very crowded it's really noisy. In summer you can sit outside on the terrace. There are enough parking spaces available.

So, last attempt next Saturday for breakfast. Hopefully we'll be assigned a reasonable spot and not directly to the right of the exit where you'll feel like you're sitting in a cramped box. You think in business terms, more tables, more guests, more sales. But it is calculated incorrectly. The more feel-good factor for the customers, the more often they come back and the more they drink, because you earn the most with drinks. Example, 2 cappuccinos for 7.20 you get almost 500 grams from Tchibo. But that's not the point. Don't hold everything so tightly and turn up the volume control because you can no longer hear the guests, especially screaming and raging children where the parents can't get their way and groups of house mothers shouting. We were here for the breakfast buffet/brunch. Everything tip top. Very large selection of everything you can think of for breakfast. Vegans and vegetarians will also find a large selection here. There are also two main courses to choose from. Meat and fish and vegetarian. We enjoyed it and the service was great. We'd love to come back.

Discriminatory and racially hostile towards the Roma people. Even if many of this people can't behave, there is still no reason to exclude everyone, because if that were the case, then Mallorca would have an entry ban for all German citizens, which is what you usually find out about through the media, so you should judge every person individually, because every single person is an individual I know the chains very well, I often travel a lot and have been very satisfied with all the locations so far except Krefeld

The food was excellent, we had the vegan Schnitzel with Hollandaise and a fresh orange juice. The quantity is huge - we split one order between two people and were still quite full afterwards. The only small grouch is that the staff seemed too busy - nobody greeted us at the door, and we had to wait before someone told us we could "sit anywhere we liked". We took a table by the window, and ten minutes later were asked to move because it was already reserved (there were absolutely no markers or other indicators of this, so we couldn't have known). The table also stayed free the ENTIRE time we dined there. Still, the food was excellent and we assume this was just the restaurant being busy.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this Cafe Del Sol. We actually wanted to get something to eat...but the tables outside were all dirty, and no one made any effort to clean them. We ordered coffee, unfortunately...otherwise we would have left. The restrooms were a disaster...I backed out. They never saw us again.

The terrace and tables are dirty, as are the toilets, the smell hits you in the restaurant. I lost my appetite and only drank a cappuccino. The shop is not recommended

The food is always delicious and the servers are incredibly friendly. However, wait times can be longer in the early evening. Waiting 20 minutes for a ginger tea and a cappuccino is a really long time. The portions are large and delicious, but the prices for the food and drinks are quite exorbitant.

Service is really the last thing in this restaurant!!!! If I could I wouldn't give any stars. I waited 20 minutes so I could order but there was no waiter anywhere. I then simply left the restaurant, I think if I hadn't left I would have waited even longer for a waiter to come

Finding an open place in Germany at Sundays is very difficult. So I googled a place to drink coffee and I found here. The atmosphere is great, coffee is also great. They have brunch on Sundays and it looks good. It costs 20,90 euros on Sundays and special days. The place has too many parking lots. So it is a good alternative for everyday.

Ladies and gentlemen, I ordered ribs when I was extremely hungry. I was deeply shocked when, after 15 minutes, the waiter wanted to serve them to the table. I was as happy as someone who thought the cat had pooped on his cookie, but it turned out to be a big blueberry. Unfortunately, the spell quickly broke when it turned out that the ribs were made in deep oil - as deep as the darkest night at the bottom of the ocean. Eating them was pure slaughter. An unforgettable experience. They should be punished with imprisonment for such begging. This is my last experience with this pub. I am not able to indicate the level of survival because it is not certain at this point. PS I really feel sorry for this pig, because he made a lot of sacrifices, but unfortunately everything went to waste.

I've been to so many Café del sol locations and it's been good everywhere, but not here. Music is way too loud, so you can no longer have a conversation. I really thought I ended up in a disco. What's that supposed to mean?! This is a cafe! I went straight back out, so I could only rate the ambience!

We were there on February 14, 2025. The food was really tasty, but the highlight was the great service (Alex). The woman really had everything under control and was extremely friendly and accommodating.

So first I have to say thank you to Alex for this excellent service. She was super attentive and did a really good job. It was really crowded yesterday but we still had a nice evening. It's always a little noisy but the food was once again really good.

I have visited the restaurant in Krefeld several times and will always come back to this place... the food ordered comes very quickly, special requests are taken into account and adhered to, the staff is friendly and attentive (when the beer is empty then the beer is new) very pleasant.. . Feel-good atmosphere like in the other locations...gladly again Addendum from October 26th: Service continues to be very ambitious and attentive, food is served quickly and hot and requests are always taken into account. The store is also recommended.

We were given dirty coasters and there was a dirty wooden skewer in my drink. The drinks barely taste like water to me. The food is half-heartedly prepared. The prices are very high. Price performance is definitely not right. The store in Krefeld is not recommended.

A nice place to eat and get together every now and then

Extremely negative, we had reserved with 6 people on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. Ate and drank then suddenly around 6 p.m. we were rudely asked to leave because the table had been reserved again. Extremely inappropriate and unprofessional.

Like every Café Del Sol, the food is good you can always find a seat. A good choice for lunch at lunchtime. In the evening it is more suitable for drinking. Overall average, price performance is ok. For a system restaurant, Café Del Sol is one of the better ones for me.

Wanted to have breakfast in the store today and had my Westie (6kg small dog) with me. So shortly after 11:30 we went into the shop with the background noise of a train station waiting room, sat down at a table, put a small blanket on the floor for the dog (which unfortunately wasn't exactly clean - my dog ​​would have been fed up with the leftover food under the table ) and waited for service. After a few minutes the service came. Unfortunately, breakfast "Á la carte" is only available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and on Saturdays only "breakfast and brunch buffet". But the buffet doesn't work with a young dog, so the friendly waitress' recommendation was "wait 15 minutes until 12 p.m. and then you can order from the lunch menu. Real??? Not with me, so GOODBYE and at least for me it's taken off the coffee and restaurant list and no problem, I can spend my money elsewhere.

We went to the restaurant for brunch yesterday. The selection was varied, but we were not that satisfied with the quality, service and availability. Cheese was only packaged goods. Many things were not available. There were no scrambled eggs in 3 attempts. Rolls and butter were also not available in between. The selection of bread rolls is small. I didn't find any grain rolls. The hot food was also sold out several times, i.e. there were many empty containers at the same time. It was basically delivered later, but it took a very long time and cannot keep up with the service in comparable restaurants. Our dirty plates, glasses and cups were only cleared away when asked, even though there was a considerable pile on the table. It was also annoying that all drinks had to be paid for separately and children aged 9 and over had to pay in full. The two 9 year old children were clearly too expensive. So the price-performance ratio wasn't right for us at all.

The service was very good. The atmosphere is very cool. However, the food was a disaster. I had spare ribs. They were completely pale and looked more steamed than baked or grilled. They were also salty and one strand had not had its silver skin removed. Absolute no-go! Charging almost €20 for this is outrageous. I would even pay more, but it was absolute crap and not worth a cent. It's a real shame that a food item is so messed up. So Café del Sol is done for me. System gastronomy is better.
