Attentive service, food ok, lots of activity.

We've been here several times. The food is good, home-style. The service is always attentive, and even though it's sometimes very busy, you always get a friendly welcome. Keep it up! 👌

Kaiserschmarrn was very tasty yesterday

Not a traditional beer bar, but absolutely 💯, both traditional German food and a really good kellerbier. 🤩

I was there for lunch. There were only 8 guests in the restaurant and on the terrace. After dinner, I was reading the newspaper and suddenly the waiter stood next to me with the bill, which I supposedly had asked his colleague for. I don't remember doing that. That's also a way to be told to pay in an empty restaurant. It's a shame. I enjoyed going there, but now I'm reconsidering. There's more to Konstanz. I'm not a tourist.

As the name suggests, it's a traditional restaurant, and that expectation was met. Good, home-style food at reasonable prices. The food was delicious and the service friendly. The ambiance is, of course, a matter of taste; the outside was fine.

Extremely attentive service; delicious fish prepared like in the South 👌🏻 everything was top-notch. Also quiet and not pretentious.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant. I went there today. I ordered a fitness salad with chicken, and the chicken was fried in the same place where the hamburger meat was. The whole salad tasted like bad meat. How can you ruin a simple meal?... I won't be going back.

Went here for our lunch. We ate classic German food. Big portion and really tasty. Even this girl who just came from my homeland can still enjoy the food. :)

Great place to have lunch or dinner. Typical local food as well as more trendy choices. Great location within the vicinity of all sights and busy places. Quick and friendly service. Menu available also in English. Food was delicious and served with a smile. Always a good choice for lunch or dinner. Very central location, practically next to the train station. The service isn't the best, but it's not bad either. The burgers are very good. They're not cheap, but they're worth it.

I went there with my wife. The food was delicious, the meat was very juicy, and the spaetzle was also very good. The waiter, Renato 2, served us and was very friendly and accommodating. You're welcome to tip there, too. 👍🏾

We were kindly guided through the construction site and found a lovely, shady terrace. The beer was very drinkable and fresh, and all of the food we ordered was delicious.

It fulfills all expectations of a Bürgerstube restaurant. Beautiful interior, appropriate menu offerings, good value for money, service a bit overzealous. It's a shame that it's in a slightly less attractive location. From the outside and across the street, it's certainly underestimated by many... but that's all the more reason to give it 5 stars.

Real nice newly decorated place for a good fresh burger with great service and value. We will be returning there soon.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly welcome, there is something on the menu for every taste.

Over 30 euros for bad fish and no response to feedback - unfortunately that's not okay for me. Rest: Spätzle, dumplings and pan were okay. All in all, I would choose another restaurant!

Bürgerstuben was pretty solid food and it was a pretty nice restaurant. I really enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant and the food itself was tasty though it did feel a little expensive for the portion size. However, I did enjoy my meal and it was very tasty and flavorful!

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Konstanz. Atmosphere, service, food, everything is indescribably great. Price performance is just right here. The Kasierschmarren with the delicious vanilla ice cream is unique in KN! 100% recommendation

Personally, I wasn't entirely convinced by the price/performance ratio, the portions were large and you could watch something being prepared through the open kitchen. I thought it was too expensive for the quality. The service was friendly and very quick. I would be happy to give the restaurant a second chance.

Unfortunately no longer recommended. Veal schnitzel came with cold potatoes - fried onions are now only available in cans. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer correct at all, €31.80 for a veal schnitzel of this quality is a disgrace. Very big potential for improvement!

I went there for dinner. Had a delicious steak. The service was even better. Very attentive but not too intrusive. I highly recommend it.

The food was simply top-notch (onion roast beef), and the price-performance ratio was absolutely perfect. My dog was immediately provided with a bowl of fresh water (we sat outside, so I don't know if dogs are allowed inside). I highly recommend the Bürgerstuben Wirtshaus. A quick tip: the cellar beer is also excellent. 👌🏻

This was my second time there. From the outside, it looks unassuming and not as inviting as it actually is inside. Friendly service with great dishes and a cozy atmosphere. Very satisfied. Reasonable prices for the location in the heart of Konstanz.

Once and never again. The potato salad tasted like it was already three days old. My burger meat tasted sour, and my child's spaetzle was cold, and the cream sauce had a skin on top.

Joar Bürgerstube is more of a tourist spot; some dishes, especially starters, are massively overpriced. A starter salad costs over €8! The lunch menu is certainly attractive in terms of price. For other main courses, you have to think twice. Apparently, the service depends on the day. A few weeks later, the cheese spaetzle I ordered was in the lower third, and the burger was okay. The service is therefore rather average, like so many things in Konstanz.

Don't be fooled by the facade and the name. Delicious, fresh food at reasonable prices, along with good beer and really good wines. Not convenience food. Highly recommended. 👍👍👍

Das Essen war ungewürzt aber ok, die Kellner super unfreundlich. Da gab es so viele Situationen in dem die Kellner einfach respektlos und arrogant gehandelt haben, richtig deutsch können sie auch nicht. Ich empfehle es wirklich nicht und verstehe auch die ganzen guten Bewertungen nicht, ich habe noch nie eine Bewertung geschrieben weil mir das sonst egal ist aber wenn man einen ich abkassiert und respektlos auf das Trinkgeld wartet dann ist es bei mir komplett vorbei.

Reviews are bogus, I can only advise against it! The Maultaschen were cold, the meat on the burger was very bad, and the fries weren't cooked through. The prices are completely overpriced. The entire staff speaks very poor German and is quite unfriendly. I can only tell every tourist not to go there -> mass transit...

Very good restaurant, excellent value for money. Attentive service, lovely, cozy atmosphere. We had roast beef with onions and cheese spaetzle and a side salad – perfect! We'd love to come back! Merry Christmas and have a great time.

I think it's a shame that the fries were initially very hard and old. Afterward, we were given other fries that were supposed to be better, but unfortunately, they tasted like frozen fries. Nobody liked the spaetzle either, which was also a sign of frozen goods. It was also sad that the fried curry tomato had more flavor than the entire order I received. The burger was a disaster: The bread resembled a cheap Rewe product and wasn't fresh, the cheese wasn't melted, and apparently, that's completely normal there. In my opinion, you shouldn't prepare certain dishes if you don't know what you're doing. The only good thing about the burger was the meat. €5 for a glass of sparkling water is also ridiculous.

At our table, we could feel the draft and the cold as soon as the door was opened.

Fast, unfriendly service. Was immediately asked for a drink, and they didn't even have a menu. Ordered two Baileys coffees. They got two warm waters with milk and Baileys. No sign of coffee 🤔

It's a shame the waitress prefers to talk to other employees instead of guests 40 year old guests are treated like second class!!!!!!!!! The food was dry and hardly any sauce! But you couldn't order anything else You really don't have to go to the Spunte anymore!

Had an extremely bad meal with my husband in the Bürgerstuben. The fish was extremely fatty and fried, the fat was on your lips and in your mouth, still causing extreme nausea. The duck was bone dry and not fresh. Rarely in my life have I eaten such a bad meal for €95. Local wine was good.

We had the cheese spaetzle and unfortunately it was the worst we have ever eaten, it was swimming in an indefinable sauce. We actually wanted to return the dish straight away but somehow ended up half eating it. The knuckle was ok but bland, too little sauce and you have to pay extra for more sauce. Not recommended!

In terms of price, it's a tourist corner, so you have to take that into account. The portions are big enough to fill you up and taste really good. Depending on your space, you have a direct view of the kitchen and can watch the employees preparing food.

Waiters friendly. Always an eye for the guests. We had shredded beef and a tavern pan, we liked it and the portion was big enough. Priced in the upper range. Tables clean.

We were spontaneously in Konstanz this Sunday and spontaneously decided to go to the Bürgerstuben to get something to eat. The menu is very diverse and it's really difficult to decide on something. In the end, as you can see in the pictures, there was roast pork with sauerkraut and potato dumplings as well as onion roast on cheese spaetzle with fried onions. If requested, there was no problem adding an additional dumpling, as one wasn't enough for me personally. But the portions are very generous and I had to struggle at the end 😄 It was very tasty and everything was eaten, we were really very satisfied and can therefore definitely give it a 5 star rating. Price performance is absolutely top 👍🏻

As the name - Bürgerstuben - already suggests, you can get very good middle-class, South German, regional food here. The menu also shows burgers etc. Everything is clean and accurate, service is friendly and fast. The lunch menu shows a small selection at fair prices. When the weather is good, you can sit outside very well and have a panoramic view without being bothered by traffic

I ordered the Maul Barren Burger. Unfortunately, my mouth really fell open because the meat wasn't seasoned, the whole citizen stood under the salamander for far too long and as a result the lettuce was too dry, the roll was too dry and the meat was simply not good due to the lack of groats and no sauce. It's a shame It's a shame, it could have made a lot more out of a dual citizen. Great atmosphere is fun to sit there. Good drinks, the service is quick, but unfortunately I think the citizens weren't that good that day.

Direkt am Bahnhof ist man vielleicht die schnelle Abfertigung gewöhnt. Lieblosigkeit war deswegen leider vom Service Spürbar. Essen war okay und nett angerichtet

All in all a successful evening. The service was very friendly and attentive, the food was really tasty... even if the price was on the upper limit... but that's probably due to the proximity to Switzerland... It was also positive that the terrace was very spacious and also accommodated larger groups Find space.

Unfortunately, our evening in the Bürgerstuben fell short of expectations. Unfortunately, the dishes are below average for the prices (Wiener Schnitzel for 30 euros..) and the kitchen really needs to improve. The service was good and the ambience was fine. The roast pork was dry and the sauce was a mixture of bagged product and butter (quote from a trained chef at our table). Pork knuckle was juicy, just the same problem with the sauce. Chanterelle risotto was generous with chanterelles, but unfortunately oversalted and the rice wasn't fully cooked yet. We hope that the Bürgerstuben will return to their old quality or adjust the prices to the quality of the cuisine.

When I first entered, I said hello to employee A, and while I was debating whether to sit inside or outside, the employee just left. In the end, another employee B came, but employee K brought the food. I told him the name of the dish and asked where I would like it, and a Sikan man answered the menu, but he gave it to the person sitting across from him, not to the person who ordered it. There were four of us and the staff gave us the wrong menu three times. They couldn't help but think that we were evil. From the beginning, Employee A conveyed his attitude that he did not want to treat us as customers, so I wish the restaurant would retrain him. Wirtshaus Pfanne was decent enough. It's salty like German food. I ordered a salmon steak for 32 euros, but the barley was too salty and the overall taste was not well balanced. The Haksendo sauce didn't suit my taste and didn't seem to blend well with the salmon. There are many dead flowers and live and dead flies on the window sill.

Good food and good drinks at a reasonable price-performance ratio. In my opinion, the street next door, as long as you sit outside, doesn't bother you either. The staff is also courteous and very friendly. Highly recommended!

We had double meat burgers, which were sublime. My wife had a very good chicken salad. The portions were big and the service great. The problem is that their beverages are way overpriced: the cheapest is 200ml of soda == 4 euros!

The food is good but they scam tourists. First, they charged us 4.80€ for a single glass of water (not even bottled water). Then, they asked for a mandatory tip when we were about to pay. We said we don't want to tip, it's not mandatory, and the waiter started to be mad and telling us that we said we liked the food but we don't want to tip... We ended up eventually tipping a small percentage and the waiter charged us more that what we said. I cannot recommend this place if you are a tourist, and I wonder if they act the same with local people.
