Very good food and cozy atmosphere. The prices are fair.

Lunch is canteen quality, but too expensive. Service quick and friendly.

The dishes are very expensive. This affects pizzas too. They're OK, but that doesn't justify the price. I paid €15 for a tomato base, dried tomatoes, feta and arugula. Also, I find the menu poorly laid out: there are the names of the main pizzas then the subcategories. But by choosing the subcategory, strangely, it deletes the ingredients from the main pizza instead of adding them. So I was surprised to see my pizza with fewer elements. It's a shame. It would have been nice to explain it to us at the table despite the language barrier. And €7.80 for water is a shame.

Simply delicious and fair prices

The best pizza and pasta in Freiburg. Unfortunately there is no delivery, but we always go and collect it. It's worth it. We've tried pretty much every pizza delivery service in Freiburg and none come close to the Pizzeria Bürgerstube. That's why we're happy to take the journey. The salad is also super delicious with the yogurt dressing. Everything is really authentic and made with a lot of love. It has tasted delicious every time for years.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Freiburg. Very good traditional and modern Italian dishes that are prepared with a lot of love. Nothing wrong with it in terms of taste or appearance. After all, the eye eats too. I can only recommend the homemade ravioli with pumpkin filling with butter and sage sauce are a taste explosion. The staff are always very polite and attentive. You simply feel welcome, like in Italy.

For me the “Italian” in Freiburg. Reliable and consistently good Italian cuisine, even apart from pizza and pasta. Friendly and attentive service. An institution.

Spaghetti Carbonara was almost inedible.

Finally pizza the way I appreciated it 40 years ago. No frills and didn't hang annoyingly over the edge.

We were here for lunch and ordered pasta and pizza. The food tasted good, but I found a piece of aluminum foil in my pizza, topped with cheese. I then told the restaurant waitress and they admitted that it was probably a piece of Gorgonzola packaging. Nothing happened after that. No one apologized or commented on the incident. We weren't offered a discount, we still paid full price, didn't even get a candy or anything. Is that normal?

Pizza and starter inedible, hard base, not cooked through, water on the pizza. Bad, unfriendly service. Neither hello, nor thank you, nor goodbye. The food has nothing to do with Italian cuisine at all. Price/performance very bad. Totally overpriced. Everything was carelessly thrown away. Tables are not wiped down. Everything on the floor is dirty. The good reviews are incomprehensible, probably all fake. Never again!!!!

A menu with a wide selection of delicious dishes, including something for vegetarians :) When the weather is good, you can sit outside and watch the quiet hustle and bustle of the street, protected by hedges. The service was extremely nice and we really enjoyed the evening!

Best pizzeria in Freiburg 👍 Pizza in combination with Gorgonzola is simply amazing

The food was good and the staff was very accommodating. We would love to come back to Freiburg.

The pizza wasn't that good. The dough was too thick, too much topping and in places not baked properly. A pity. My partner's ravioli were quite ok. But nothing special either.

From the first step into the Bürgerstube you feel as if you have embarked on a journey to Italy. The warm, inviting atmosphere, coupled with the smell of freshly prepared food, immediately creates a feeling of belonging and anticipation. Here it is the perfect mix of lively conversation, the sound of laughing guests and the unobtrusive yet present Italian music that creates an ambience that nourishes not only the stomach but also the soul.

The food (tomato soup, pizza and spaghetti) tasted very good. The tomato soup in particular was outstanding. The service was okay. The main course was served just as we were starting the soup.

We often go to the sidewalk, for a pizza or a pasta dish. Food and wine are decent. The price-performance ratio is right.

We were there on New Year's Eve 2023. The food was excellent as was the service. We will definitely go there again on our next visit to Freiburg. The bruschetta was excellent

Very tasty, very cozy and good boss 👌🌟

The food here was delicious. My wife had the gnocchi with tomato sauce and I had the four cheese rigatoni, with an excellent Amarone Della Valpolicella. The service was also great, even though the poor servers had a rowdy, full house. You can tell that the food is great by the lively ambiance. Take your time and enjoy this wonderful restaurant.

eigentlich ein gutes Restaurant, wenn man aber für 12 Personen einen Tisch reserviert, man schreibt am Nachmittag, dass man 45 Min später kommt und der TIsch ist in so kurzer Zeit an eine gleich grosse Gruppe weitergegeben, da stimmt etwas mit dem Reservationssystem nicht, entweder schreibt, alle Reservationen nur per Tel oder, wenn per Mail möglich, dann braucht dieses Ding auch!!!!!!!

Als wir auf die Frage, ob wir reserviert hätten, wahrheitsgemäß mit Nein antworteten, ließ man uns wortlos im Lokal stehen. Das haben wir so noch nirgendwo erlebt. Ein kleines Wort des Bedauerns hätte schon genügt, aber nicht mal das gab es. Und das, obwohl die Tische offenbar reserviert, aber noch ohne Gäste waren. Stress scheidet also aus. Ignorantes Verhalten, gepaart mit Unhöflichkeit brauchen wir nicht. Also: Nie wieder!

VIANDE AVARIÉE !!! Nous sommes ici en vacances, découvert par hasard, les deux premiers soirs, nous avons très bien mangé, le service n’est pas très accueillant, mais bon, du moment qu’on mange correctement, nous avons voulu retourner manger dans cet établissement. Pizzas pour les enfants, viande pour les adultes, mais quel fût notre surprise quand le plat arrive, une odeur nauséabonde, la viande pue c’est une infection, je ne parle même pas du goût qui est à vomir. Je ne mange donc pas mon assiette, une fois le repas terminé pour les autres membres de notre famille, j’explique à la serveuse que la viande n’est pas bonne, que vu l’odeur c’est impossible qu’elle soit mangeable, ce à quoi elle répond simplement que c’est impossible et qu’elle est très bonne cette viande. Elle partira en cuisine et s’excusera en revenant en ne faisant évidement pas payer ce plat. Vu l’odeur de la viande, il est IMPOSSIBLE que le cuisiner ou le propriétaire du restaurant ne se soit pas rendu compte que la viande était avariée ! Pas une seconde le propriétaire n’a prit la peine de venir s’excuser pour ce plat. C’est bien dommage, nous n’y remettrons jamais les pieds et déconseillons fortement ce restaurant.

Klassiker mit authentischem Essen

Best Pizzeria in town. Super leckeres Essen, toller Service (vielen Dank unserem Kellner für den Umtausch meines Weins). Alle Getränke waren ebenso gut( auch der nackte Ramazzotti 😅). Wir waren 10 Personen und alles hat wunderbar geklappt. Jederzeit wieder👍👍👍

Gute Pizza für den schnellen Hunger. Tolle belebte Lage.

War schön öfters dort. Immer tagesaktuelle Gerichte. Sehr gute Pizzen. Alle bisher bestellten Gerichte, auch von meinem Besuchern, immer lecker. Reservierung wird empfohlen. Wir kommen wieder.

Update 17.11.2022 Für mich leider nur noch zwei Sterne. Zwei Jahre nach meinem letzten Besuch waren wir in einer Gruppe aus sechs Personen zum Mittagessen dort. Ich bestellte Spaghetti Puttanesca, ein Gericht, dass sich zu einem Favoriten der italienischen Küche bei mir entwickelte. Daher war ich auch ganz gespannt, wie es hier zubereitet wird. Vorab: Auch wenn es kein schlechtes Essen war; ich war enttäuscht. Mir fehlte die Liebe zum Essen, mir fehlte das Ursprüngliche, mir fehlte Italien. Es war leider mehr ein auf die Schnelle zubereitetes Essen, bestehend aus einer Tomatensauce, die ihren Ursprung wahrscheinlich in der Dose hatte. Kann man so machen, bevorzuge ich aber nicht. Leider war das gesamte Essen derart stark mit Knoblauch durchzogen, dass sich mir der Verdacht aufdrängte, hier wurde mit Knoblauchöl oder/und Knoblauchpulver gearbeitet. Der Geschmack der anderen Komponenten ging total unter. Die Sardellen waren auch nicht in die Sauce eingekocht, sondern noch in ganzen Stücken enthalten. Es fehlte darüber hinaus an der typischen Schärfe der Sauce. Die Sauce war eine "Standardtomatensauce", die sich u.a. auch in einem Tagesgericht wiederfand (so zumindest mein Eindruck). Das war absolut nicht mein Geschmack. Sehr schade, da dieses doch recht einfach zuzubereitende Essen wie ein Aushängeschild für ein italienisches Restaurant ist. Erster Beitrag: Aus meiner Sicht war der Preis- und Zeitfaktor wichtiger, als dem Gast ein bisschen Italien auf den Teller zu zaubern. Das hatte ich bei all den anderen Restaurants bisher besser gegessen. Schade! Wir waren mit einer grösseren Gruppe dort und alle zufrieden. Angenehmes Ambiente, sehr freundlicher Service, Essen kam gleichzeitig, war frisch und lecker. Die Speisenauswahl ist prima, zusätzlich gibt es eine Sonderkarte. Uns wurden darüber hinaus zwei weitere Gerichte des Hauses angeboten. Eines davon war ein Thunfischsteak mit Risotto. Es war mega lecker, für 36 Euro allerdings auch nicht günstig (Preis war vorher nicht bekannt, da dieses Gericht nicht in der Karte stand).

El camarero antipático que no nos contestaba a lo que le decíamos debido a su falta de amabilidad la comida estaba bastante buena el precio caro y me parece un exceso el precio del agua que nos cobraron 7 con 20 euros y no nos quisieron poner agua del grifo no lo recomiendo por el servicio pero tampoco por su elevado precio pero la comida estuvo bien.

Klare Empfehlung. Pizza war sehr lecker, offener Rotwein ebenso. Service freundlich und Ambiente draußen der Lage entsprechend vollkommen in Ordnung. Komme wieder.

Also ich muss leider sagen das war die mieseste Pizza die ich je gegessen habe. Hat einfach nicht geschmeckt,null Geschmack, aber gar nichts auf der Pizza. Peperoni nicht zu empfehlen, da holt man besser welche im Supermarkt welche, schmeckt genauso. Dafür das es mittlere bis hohe Preisklasse ist, nicht gut. Service, naja eigentlich freundlich. Wenn man kein italienisch versteht. Die Bedingungen lästern ohne Ende über die Gäste. Was in meinen Augen ein Todes Urteil für ein Restaurant ist, so was geht gar nicht. Kann das Restaurant, persönlich nicht weiterempfehlen!

Die Pizza 🍕 ist wirklich nicht besonders ,die Bolognese meines Freundes war auch sehr langweilig wenig Hackfleisch viel Tomatensoße …. Die Bier Preise sind wenigstens solide 4,30 für ein Weizen 🌾 🥰

Für mein Empfinden sind die Tische zu nah zusammen, alles wirkt etwas zusammen gepfercht. Dies könnte aber daran liegen das seehr viel los was. Essen war sehr gut und schnell. Der Service war zu empfehlen.

Excellent bruchetta, spaghetti di mare, and cheese pizza. Bruchetta bread was hot and crispy, and the toppings of tomato and parsley with olive oil were fresh. Spaghetti was perfectly cooked (al dente), piping hot, and the seafood was excellent - a lot of variety and generous portion. The pizza wasn't particularly authentic but it was definitely delicious - freshly baked pizza dough with crisp exterior and plump interior, loads of stretchy melted cheese, and solid tomato sauce. All the food was served very hot and tasted great. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Gutes Essen zu einem anständigen Preis. Der Mitarbeitende im Service war nicht so gut drauf an diesem Abend, was mit einer schlechten Tagesform erklärt werden kann.

Das Essen: üblich italienisch und ganz gut. Der Service war unverbindlich neutral. Das Ambiente, wie der Name sagt: "Buergerlich".

Die Pizza und der Grauburgunder waren einfach sehr gut.

Super leckere Pizza und Vorspeisen. Service schnell und aufmerksam. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Lecker und gute Portionen zu einem echt tollen Preis. Von Vorteil wäre die Fähigkeit unauffällig auf sich aufmerksam zu machen. Die Kellner*innen brauchen länger. Ansonsten echt super und empfehlenswert.

Bewertung für den Bistrobereich: Guter freundlicher Service Pizza mit Gorgonzola und Parmaschinken gegessen (aus der Erinnerung), richtig gut, Alpirsbacher Bier (?) gut Zentral und doch nicht überlaufen. SC-Spiele werden übertragen ? Mittagstisch und dann Pause für Essen bis 17.00 Uhr

Einfach mal ein richtig toller Italiener. Gegrillter Oktopus butter zart, ein wahrhaftiger Genuss. Immer wieder gerne

Gute Pizza zu fairem Preis. Gute offene Weinauswahl.

Vieleicht war die Bedienung auch nur an einem schlechten Tag am arbeiten und wir in anderer Erwartung unterwegs.... Das Essen war wenigstens gut und ich werde aus Donaueschingen garantiert nicht mehr dort essen müssen ... bei der Auswahl in Freiburg.
