This spot is great for serious German food and a huge choice of local beers on tap, all at reasonable prices. Very friendly staff, too.

If you're looking for bland food, you've come to the right place. With the crispy chicken I can say that it was way too dry and there wasn't enough sauce to disguise it. The fries weren't seasoned and the fried potatoes only tasted like fat. In addition, there is no bone in a breast fillet. In total, fries, chicken breast fillet and some sour cream cost around 18 euros. It really wasn't worth it. I won't visit this restaurant again.

We were there today at 9:30 p.m. After we weren't served for over half an hour, we were suddenly told that the kitchen would close at 10 p.m. Too bad...

Great pub or bar, nice atmosphere, you can sit outside when the weather is good (even some with heaters in cooler temperatures). Only had something to drink, but the food that was brought to the tables said it was very tasty. Friday afternoon very well attended around 3 p.m.!

I was there with my friend on a Saturday and the kitchen was closed shortly before 10 p.m. On a Saturday folks, as early as 10 p.m. Where are we then? Service wasn't nice either 😕 The beer wasn't cold either.

Delicious food, great service and everything in the middle of Freiburg. What more do you want. Unfortunately you cannot reserve outside and you should be prepared for through traffic. For everyone who doesn't have a problem with this, we clearly recommend the 'Blue Fox'. Come by and let yourself be surprised.

The beef cheese burger didn't taste that good, but service was good.

The kitchen is ok, but you can't really go wrong with tarte flambée and fried foods. The salads could be a little more generous for the price to fill you up... Conclusion: Great location with simple cuisine and good service

I've been here several times now and have always been very satisfied. There is a good selection of food and drinks. There are also plenty of vegan and vegetarian alternatives. The food always tasted good and came promptly and at the same time so that we could always eat together. Cocktails and drinks sometimes took a while. However, it was always busy when I was there. Ambience is somehow rustic but nice. You feel like you're in a kitchen at home. However, I have to say that the corner benches are a bit uncomfortable after a while. Very hard. Sometimes it is very loud. Would still come again. Price-performance ratio is right and you get a great “Freiburg flair” with a diverse crowd, central location, bar and good food and music. Service was always very friendly.

I was here with friends and we loved it. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is extremely friendly. The interior is stylish and modern, with lovely details that give the place a cozy touch. The meal itself was an absolute highlight. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes prepared with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The drinks menu also leaves nothing to be desired. A well-stocked selection of wines, beers and cocktails perfectly rounds off the culinary experience. Overall, I can only warmly recommend the “Blue Fox”. Whether for a romantic dinner, a business lunch or simply a cozy evening with friends - this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Superfast and large plates (Schnitzel). Verg kind and friendly service. Great atmosphere. Soda drinks not very tasteful, though.

The sausage salad with cheese and Brägele was delicious. It's hotter under the roof than outside. Sometimes it was hard to get someone from the staff to order. This worked again outside of rush hour.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 10 Leuten und hatten reserviert. Daher konnten wir leider nicht draußen sitzen, sondern saßen oben direkt hinter der Treppe. Hinter uns war ein Fernseher, auf dem gerade das aktuelle Fussballspiel der EM lief. Wir hatten eine Ofenstulle Pulled Park für 10,90 €, Pommes Fuchs Style für 7,9ß €, was sehr lecker, aber auch eine große Portion, war. Das Knusperhuhn für 17,90 € war etwas trocken. Der Flammkuchen war auch gut für 12,90 € und eine Beef Chese Burger für 16,90 €. Zu trinken hatten wir das Holunderwunder für 4 €, die hausgemachte Rhabarberlimonade, die nicht so gut war, sowie die hausgemachte Zitronenlimonade, die gut war, für jeweils 5,20 €. Das Personal war freundlich. Nachdem es voll wurde, war es ziemlich laut. Draußen sitzt man ganz nett in einer kleinen Gasse gegenüber des Gewerbebachs. Draußen traf ich dann noch eine weitere Gruppe, die Aperol trank, wo ich mich auch noch kurz dazu setze.

The team is super nice, the atmosphere is cozy. Personally, I don't think the ratio between the amount of portion and the price is justified. Quality is good, portion is small ;(

I feel sorry for such a group that brought used beer to me and one of my companions. When we protested it wasn't sorted out and I went to the bar angry and they had to give me another beer. My suggestion is that the collection management has more control and the collection staff is not respecting the customers due to fatigue. Unfortunately, there were other things we weren't happy with. That was the last time I visited this collection. I hope that management will carry out the necessary checks. Customer focus and respect for customers are among the principles of hospitality and service offering. If respect for customers is not at the forefront of your affairs and plans, you will lose your customers.

The fox fries are an absolute hit. But actually everything tastes good. :) Service very quick and attentive. Dog friendly.

The Espolón Paloma is really good, as is the bread and the seasoning for the steak at the "Kuhstall" However, the steak itself is overdone and there is a bit of a lack of dressing for the sala In terms of price, €19.90 is still expensive on the menu, the prices are absolutely below average, in other restaurants the same thing sometimes costs €10 more

Very tasty currywurst with great fries. Unfortunately the service made you feel like a second class person. Prices are ok. Asparagus cream soup cannot be recommended.

Great restaurant! A perfect welcome, fast service and reasonable price. We ordered a fillet of beef and a burger, both excellent and very generous. Our waitress was super nice and understood that my German was not correct. Thank you for your patience and corrections 😜. A magnificent address in Freiburg!

Great choice of alcoholic drinks, food is good with some nice options for vegans and kids. A bit to much sometimes like fríes hiden under a mayo blanket. Waiters are experienced, slick service.

Short trip to Freiburg and by chance we were at the Blauer Fuchs. Both times super friendly service and tip top food. Alsatian tarte flambée, beetroot gnocchi, cheese spaetzle, schnitzel. All unreservedly recommended. Try the beer board :)

Went to the Blauer Fuchs on a recommendation on Monday evening and were very satisfied. Cozy atmosphere, friendly and fast staff, attractive food and drink menu with fair prices. The cheese spaetzle were very tasty and had a really good creaminess. The portion was just the right size with the salad on the side. Plus a regional light beer, which made it a successful and enjoyable visit.

Tolles Ambiente mit sehr vielen Tischen und netten Personal. Käsespätzle und die blauer Fuchs Pommes mit rote Beete Pulver und Mayo extrem lecker.

War zum ersten Mal da. Service war gut schnell und freundlich. Essen war ausreichend und gut. Leckere Limettenmayonnaise. Das Ambiente ist im oberen Stock gemütlich.

Der Flammkuchen war gut, aber eben nur ein Flammkuchen.

Vor kurzem dort gegessen. Hatte ein Schnitzel mit Pommes und mein Freund Pommes mit Cordon bleu.. es war jetzt nichts weltbewegendes aber auch nicht schlecht. Wir es halt sein sollte. Das Restaurant sieht echt gut aus und das Personal war freundlich.

Das Essen ist durchaus in Ordnung, aber meiner Meinung nach nicht den Preisen angemessen gut. Service ist nett, aber wir mussten als Gruppe nach längerer Warterei statt nochmal eine Runde Getränke selbst runtergehen zum bezahlen, da niemand mehr oben nach uns geschaut hatte.

Leider war das Personal sehr gestresst und wollte uns rauswerfen, weil wir ein Glas kaputt gemacht haben. Schade dass es hier so streng ist und die Mitarbeiter leider kein Verständnis für ein geselligen Abend haben. An sich ein sehr angenehmer Schuppen! Trotzdem gerne vorbeikommen vllt arbeiten ja andere 👍🏻

Essen hatte ich leider keins, Freiburg scheint unter der Woche sehr schnell die Küche um 22 Uhr zu schließen, dennoch hatte ich eine sehr leckeren Cocktail ohne Alkohol, oder selbst hergestellte Limonade aus Holunder, sehr lecker, nicht überzuckert sondern sehr dezent süß. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Und leckere Nüsse, Kekse Mischung und das nur für €2,9. Sehr guter aufmerksamer Service. Das Cordon Blue kann ich empfehlen mit Fuchs Pommes (Pommes mit Rote Beete Pulver, Petersilie und Sauer Creme).

Nette Bar und Restaurant, schöne Terrasse, gutes Essen,freundliche Bedienung. Einzig die WC's ließen zu wünschen übrig. Damen und Herren ein WC mit 2 Kabinen.

Relativ „ruhiger und entspannter“ Ort mitten in Freiburg. Getränke und Essen sind gut. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und sehr bemüht das passende für den Gast anzubieten. Der eine Sterne wurde abgezogen, weil ich sooo lange auf mein Essen warten musste. War wohl ein Knoten irgendwo in der Küche, was dem Kellner sehr unangenehm war. Wir haben schon mehrmals hier gegessen und waren jedesmal top zufrieden. Toller Service, leckere Speisen und eine coole Atmosphäre, drinnen und draußen. Die Spätzle mit Soß‘ für die Kids sind phänomenal 👌🏻

Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend. Wir hatten Käsespätzle, die man zu 100% als solche bezeichnen darf. Dazu hatten wir die Vegane Fuchs Bowl, die ebenfalls sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Generell ist zu erwähnen, dass es hier ein tolles Angebot für Vegetarier/Veganer gibt. Der Service war schnell und sehr freundlich. Ein sehr schön eingerichteter Laden mit nettem Innen- und Außenambiente.

Essen leider eine abeolute Enttäuschung. 17€ für einen Cheeseburger, der so aussieht, wie etwas, was man sich schnell zu Hause zusammenwirft und dann als Burger betitelt. Trockenes Bäckerbrötchen, Fleisch trocken und der Rest war auch nicht besonders gut. Das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis der Speisen variiert leider sehr stark und ist für mich nicht nachvollziehbar. Zum sitzen und entspannt was trinken, kann man es empfehlen, Essen würde ich da in keinem Fall wieder.
