It is terrible, you can wait half an hour to get this thing opened, wtf, then the food is cold, they touch the food with bare hands, I asked for a fork they just throw me one. If you come from a third world country you should learn the basics I see that burgerking in Germany became a true junk food.

Unfortunately, I witnessed a male employee wipe his hand across the food without washing it. It's disgusting what's possible these days. There should be stricter regulations. Pay a few extra euros so that staff have gloves and hairnets. I will never eat there again. Protect yourselves and your children.

It was one of those evenings when your stomach starts rumbling and, almost out of habit, you succumb to the promise of a quick meal. I chose the familiar crispy chicken to go, hoping that a comforting taste would round off the day. It's easy to indulge in the illusion of having a choice. "Have It Your Way" certainly sounds like it. But sometimes you only realize later that certain options are more theoretical than practical. Even small things like a napkin sometimes seem like luxuries that don't always find their way into the bag. The burger itself seemed, let's say, remarkably determined to save its warmth for later in the evening, and the requested cheese, which was supposed to guarantee freshness, only fulfilled this expectation in a poetic sense. Oh well. Hunger is an understanding companion: it forgives a lot and occasionally leads you back to places you might rationally evaluate differently. And so it will probably be this time as well. When your stomach calls, you'll find your way again. Perhaps just with somewhat dampened expectations.

I walked in, the atmosphere was lovely. A young blonde girl was at the checkout, so I struck up a conversation and asked which vouchers I had. She seemed very distracted and uninterested, acting as if she had no idea what to tell me. Then a friendly employee wearing a black hijab said that everything was available in the app. I looked and immediately found a good meal deal. I went over to the young blonde woman, looked at the floor, and answered very rudely and disinterestedly, as if she couldn't be bothered and had no clue what she was doing. When I asked how many sauces I was entitled to, she said one or two. Did I play the lottery? Then, finally, I asked why I had to pay 9.14 instead of 8.24. Oh yeah, she was clueless again, and I looked up and said, "Is that one sauce the extra one for 90 cents?" "Yes," she suddenly understood. And then, to top it all off, she denied everything she had said. Very poor German or simply no desire to ask guests basic questions. Or both. UNRECEIVABLE.

Unfortunately, the service was very poor. No one spoke proper German and they didn't understand what I wanted to order. They didn't even ask what I wanted to drink or if I wanted mayo/ketchup. Then they sent the wrong order, and it took 35 minutes to cancel it and take my correct order. In the end, they even managed to get the mayo. Afterwards, I ordered an ice cream, which was also served incorrectly. Thanks, but I won't be coming back. I'd rather go to Biebrich.

I've rarely seen such an outdated drive-through. This branch doesn't even have a digital display where you can see current products or any prices. The drive-through display is an old thing that only shows a selection of the product range—no prices, no promotional products, nothing. This means that you have to ask for products every time you order, just like you have to ask for prices. Unfortunately, the employees aren't trained accordingly, so they quote you fictitious prices, and you're surprised when the bill suddenly turns out to be completely different. I don't understand why they can't even spend money and make a minimal effort to modernize things. Furthermore, there are often large spider webs above the checkout, where spiders like to rappel down on you in the evenings. I'm really not a McD fan, but when you go there, everything is top-notch. Modern displays, transparent prices, a clean checkout window...

October 23, 2025, 7:30 p.m.: Here's my experience after wasting 10-15 minutes of time: Ordering via touchscreen offers items that the restaurant is out of: dressing, ice cream, etc. Unfortunately, the ordering software only displays a general error message at the end, during the payment process, without any indication that an item is out of stock. We (the family) therefore made three attempts before going directly to the counter to place our order verbally. Meanwhile, many customers ahead of us were put on the order waiting list. By the way: In my opinion, you can skip the snack salad.

Oh, how awful! I haven't been to BK in years, and this was the last time. I remembered the portions and food presentation being much better than at the golden M. What they served here was a joke. The patties are so tiny that even the double burger doesn't even come close to the size of a proper burger. We paid a whopping €38.50 for 2.5 people. It's outrageous. On top of that, the place was freezing cold inside. Cold ears and hands while eating, perfect. No wonder it was quiet.

We went there with low expectations after seeing that the place only had a 3-star rating. But after a convention, hunger, and the thought "it's just Burger King, so the food should be okay," we went. And yes, the food was just Burger King, never been any different in any other place. But that's not why I'm including that in the actual review. The two blonde colleagues at the front were friendly, but seemed very stressed. Not necessarily because the place was incredibly busy, but because of the colleague behind them, who was constantly scurrying between them and seemed to be checking everything... That's why I think one of them didn't understand me well when I wanted to ask something. The upper floor is completely empty, except for dirt and the men's restroom (which only has a filthy air compressor, aka, drying on a T-shirt), and the cleanliness downstairs also leaves something to be desired... and not just the typical everyday dirt, but stuff that you could see had been lying between the tables for weeks. But the worst part, and hence the one star, is the guy who harassed the colleagues behind the cash register, then ran to a neighboring table and yelled at them to keep their voices down, otherwise they wouldn't be able to work. Seriously? I've never seen anything like that before, and honestly, we were sitting two meters away and only heard some hearty laughter, which didn't bother anyone. The way I see it, the rating isn't unfounded, and the place desperately needs a change in the upper levels and a thorough cleaning.

The ordering terminals are extremely slow, and it takes five minutes for the card reader to register that a payment is pending. You then stand at the checkout for half an hour before anyone even notices you're there or wants to pay, when the terminal isn't working again. The food is cold, the tables are filthy, and the restrooms are absolutely avoidable. The noise level in the store is unbearable. Or simply and succinctly: avoid this store if at all possible.

I visited the Burger King branch on August 1, 2025, and ordered a Whopper with extra cheese from the self-service vending machine, for which I paid a surcharge of €1.20. However, when I picked up the burger, I was told that they were out of cheese and that my burger would be prepared without cheese. When I asked for a refund of the surcharge I had already paid, the employee reacted extremely rudely and stated that it was none of his business. Instead, he referred me to the ordering machine to request my money back. When I asked if he was serious, he replied that he "wouldn't cancel anything." Only after further discussion and after it became clear that I insisted on a refund did I receive my money back. Unfortunately, this incident fell short of basic standards of appropriate customer service and left a very negative impression on me. Based on this experience, I will avoid the branch in the future.

I visited this restaurant with my wife. The first impression wasn't bad at all. We're used to restaurants being a bit more decorated, so this one seemed rather empty. My first disappointment was that the employees preferred to chat rather than take our money. What's shocking, however, is that the employees have no idea what's currently on offer. I ordered two long chicken (one Supreme, one Teriyaki) and got two regular ones. When I pointed this out to the employees, they asked, "Do you have something like that?" The kitchen employee also stood there, perplexed, and asked, "How is it supposed to be made?" In the end, I got both burgers. One was cold (the cheese wasn't even melted) and the second was missing the sauce. If you want bad food, this is definitely the place for you.

I was so hungry that I went into the store last night. It's unbelievable what you go through as a customer. I was given bad service by the saleswoman. She took the order slip and simply handed it back to me without saying anything. It took about 10 minutes for her to take the order (there was no one there). At some point a blond man in his mid-20s to early 30s came over and verbally assaulted the colleague in front of the store, who seemed to find it very unpleasant. The colleague then just said, "I'm going home now, you've given me a headache." While I was still waiting for my food after 20 minutes, all I heard was the colleague in question say, "Did you put the curly fries in? No? Then do it now." Accordingly, she asked, "What do you do then? Stand around and give orders?" And rightly so! As a customer, you can observe that everyone in the kitchen works without gloves and only quickly puts them on when they come to the front of the sales area. I saw a lady in the kitchen blow her nose with her hand and then immediately start topping her burger. The salesperson in question dropped a sauce and thought it was funny to throw it under the shelf (maybe it's still there). It was impossible, and despite Team Wallraff and the like, this store still doesn't seem to have figured it out. The food at home was cold and beyond disappointing. Considering it's fast food, it took half an hour. Horrible. I'd rather walk an extra 10 minutes and go to McDonald's. It couldn't get any colder. Speechless, truly unbelievable.

This shop will never see me again... I'd rather go to Äppelallee in Wiesbaden. If you're looking for fast food, you've come to the wrong place. Slow food is popular here. Even when the kitchen is full (as on April 18th, 2025) you can happily wait 25 minutes for 3 menus. No, not true. The first one was ready immediately and was put on the tray to cool. The last burger was prepared incorrectly (no sauce, no cheese), next attempt...sauce but no cheese. The third attempt was at least correct, but unfortunately cold again. And around 38.00 euros for that. Apparently it corresponds to the other experiences here. The staff is friendly, but unfortunately they don't help if the process doesn't work... What a shame

The best thing that ever happened to me at a burger place. I wanted to eat outside, but the door was stuck. I dropped my drink on the floor and some of it spilled. As I sat outside, an employee came and brought me a new drink (unprompted). Sensationally thoughtful for a fast-food restaurant... 3 thumbs up!!!!!! :-)))

So seriously? It's a disgrace to Burger King's image!!! The people who work there are actually far from being able to demand an hourly wage of €12.82. €10 is probably the maximum! You order at the terminal and pay directly. The guy with Babish hair just has to pack up. But he doesn't get it! Some things were wrong in the bag or even not in there at all. I'm really sorry that a franchise company has to suffer this. Be sure to check your to go orders. Trust is good, control is better!

Very good Burger King branch. Many branches vary greatly in quality. For example, the branch on Äppelallee WI is not good. Too little sauce and it looks unfresh. This is not the case here on Mainzer Straße, everything is fine.

So if you like cold burgers and fries, this is the place for you. First we waited forever and then, even though we ordered them with special requests so that we could have warm burgers, they were cold. And some of the extras were still missing. If there had been a huge crowd, one could have understood that, but another table was occupied with us. It doesn't work at all. Conclusion: we won't go there anymore. But the crowning glory came at home. We had ordered chili cheese nuggets to take away and unfortunately we didn't check them on site 😡 instead of chili cheese we received chicken nuggets. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Absolutely incompetent staff who can't even prepare the order without errors in an almost empty restaurant. I'd rather go to McDonalds again because I have warm burgers, there's not such a margin of error and on top of that it's even cheaper and much tastier. I can only agree with all the bad reviews. Next time I'll read this again before I enter a fast food restaurant.

At a fast-food restaurant, you wait 30-45 minutes for a single burger. Many customers were very annoyed. Some employees stood around like counterfeit money... it's unacceptable! Please change staff or train them properly.

Absolute madness. I still understand that there was still chaos after the carnival parade (all the carts with old tablets were overcrowded and there were also finished tablets lying around on tables), but the fact that you have to wait 35 minutes after ordering for two menus, even though there were only about 10-15 customers there, is really a new dimension that I have experienced in a “fast” food chain. All in all, the two of us spent 65 minutes with two menus... NEVER this shop!!

Burgers cold, no cucumber despite special order, aren't they made fresh? Ordered and paid for cookie dough ice cream with caramel sauce, at the counter it said that they didn't have cookies, I chose Oreos and only got caramel sauce when I asked because it wasn't included with Oreos... Then why do I pay it? So conclusion: it tasted as shitty as it all looked!

We were greeted at the checkout by an employee (with an Arab migration background/approx. 40 years old, unkempt) in such an unfriendly, provocative and disrespectful manner that we felt very uncomfortable and attacked and left the restaurant immediately. We have been regular customers at Burger King on Mainzer Straße for 15 years. Today was the last time!

What can I say... McDonald's has... everything's OK. The only thing I'm "complaining" about is that, like all "small" branches, not everything is available. I sorely miss my beloved McRib 🤷🏻♂️

Absolutely fantastic! The order arrived remarkably quickly. My Whopper was very freshly prepared, which was immediately apparent from the crisp lettuce and firm tomato slices. The patty had that typical, intense, smoky grilled flavor that I love so much about the Whopper and that sets it apart from other burgers. The bun was pleasantly soft and fluffy, and the ratio of meat, toppings, and sauce was perfectly balanced. In short: A perfect, delicious Whopper, and thanks to the fast service, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I'll definitely be back!

The floor is extremely dirty. I've never experienced beggars bothering customers in a restaurant before without the staff caring. Very unpleasant!

Drive-thru is a disaster. Something's always missing. But to "forget" one out of two things is just outrageous. Online order K4027, 14.12.25
