We have been here for dinner several times on business and it is a particularly beautiful beer garden in Munich. The food and drinks are excellent and the service is quick and courteous. We will definitely come back this year!

Great atmosphere and friendly, fast service. Unfortunately, I found the food (Bergbauernschnitzel) a bit disappointing. Fried potatoes boring and dry, the schnitzel carelessly prepared without sauce.

Excellent service, the staff was friendly and very helpful. Although the biergarten was crowded, we were served with a short and reasonable waiting time. Food quality was very good. Nice atmosphere, cool and relaxed.

Authentic German fare at a reasonable price. We always try to pick a different dish with each visit. Service is fantastic, and after several visits, we feel a person warm welcome. As Americans, we travel to Munich often on business, and this is ALWAYS top choice when bringing a new co-worker.

This is a hidden GEM and I was lucky to have been told about it. I was in Munich for work and was staying at the Munich Marriott. My wife and I were walking around looking for a place to eat when a local started talking with us while we were looking at a menu of a corner establishment. He told us just down the road was a nice Bier Garten, out of the way but great. Great it is. Fresh beer and the food is awesome. Order the pork knuckle, you won't be disappointed. Thanks Brunwart for making this Floridian feel welcome.

There is nothing bad about the food, service and atmosphere. This is truly one of the most memorable restaurants I've been to in Germany. I recommend it. Be sure to visit. However, depending on your taste, the food may be slightly salty, so you should take that into account. German food is generally salty.

I have ordered 3 different dishes , everyone was with meat and potatoes. Potatoes were the worst one I have ever tasted. Meat also want good one. So the price and the taste are not comparable

Wir waren auf Durchreise und haben vorher reserviert. Das helle Bier war recht schnell am Tisch und die Bestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen. Wir hatten den Schweinebraten und den Zwiebelrostbraten. Beides von sehr guter Qualität. Beim Zwiebelrostbraten war für mich viel zu wenig Soße dabei. Auf Nachfrage kam ohne Probleme eine volle Sauciere mit der leckeren Soße. Insofern hat alles gepasst!

Nice beer garden with friendly service. When it comes to the kitchen alone, the picture is extremely mixed: While the Bavarian schnitzel and the pasta with strips of beef were tasty and at least acceptably large, the hunter's plate was very manageable for the price, and when asked, I was told that the size of the pork medallions corresponded to the house's standards; However, I would be happy to prepare more meat for an additional charge. In order to fill myself up after these "senior plates", I decided on a pancake soup, but was very disappointed to find when it was served that the dried-out pancake strips contained seemed to be dying of loneliness and the contribution to my satiety would be limited. It's a shame, a beer garden with potential that, with a little more effort, could be just as buzzing as the neighboring Osterwaldgarten. So it's not surprising that there were plenty of free places to be found.

We spent a very nice evening here. Service was quick and friendly. The food came quickly. We had a roast pork and once the baked potato with salad and turkey breast stiffs. Everything beautifully prepared and delicious. Personally it was a bit too loud for us but the inn can't help it.

Overall, a good restaurant to stop by. Eat: Ordered, Munich schnitzel with fried potatoes. Good portion, decent schnitzel that tasted good. However, the quantity of fried potatoes was a bit low and they were more boiled potatoes than fried. Therefore, unfortunately, points are deducted here. Service: Friendly, but it always took a long time to arrive. Both when ordering and when paying, the time was unfortunately significant, there is room for improvement here. Due to the high number of visitors, it could not have been right. Beer garden was 50% full, inner rooms only 2-3 tables. Ambiance: Overall the restaurant is very nice. However, rather disturbing on the day of the visit. It was raining outside when we arrived, so we went inside. There was football going on here, unfortunately at a very high volume, which made it difficult to have a conversation. Given that there were only two other people in the room, the economy should have done something or seen it. A pity. Therefore unfortunately only 3/5 stars.

Very popular spot because of traditional German food and beer garden. Service is decent...more so if you speak German. The food is apparently good German food...if you like tge cuisine. Prices are reasonable compared NYC area

We went here for dinner as part of a business trip. It was great that we could still order a warm meal at 9 p.m. Friendly and attentive service team. Unfortunately very loud inside, but the furnishings are rustic and appealing. Food delicious. We'd love to come back!

Wir waren im Rahmen einer Dienstreise hier zum Abendessen. Toll war, dass wir auch um 21 Uhr noch ein warmes Essen bestellen konnten. Freundliches und aufmerksames Serviceteam. Im Innenbereich leider sehr laut, Einrichtung aber rustikal-ansprechend. Essen lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Food is expensive for what it is

The one place where I always order a Münchner schnitzel. It's awesome there.

I had the menu that was only sold on Wednesdays. The schnitzel was sprinkled with pepper, so it was really delicious and not too salty. The potatoes were also really delicious, but I didn't know how much it was, so I just ordered it, but I think it would be enough for two people. The price including beer is 22.9 euros.

I find it audacious that you have to pay an extra €5 for a bit of cabbage when roasting pork. In every other restaurant you can get it for free as a side dish. Greed is the downfall of the restaurant industry.

Addendum May 2024: we were there again Here - with voucher book. Everything went quickly and friendly. The food was freshly prepared and was very hot. The cheese spaetzle could use more cheese. The salad with it was good. We sat all alone in the room. Cozy inside, outside with garden area. Super good Munich schnitzel.

Very friendly service. Great atmosphere, we were here for the first time. We stopped there in the pouring rain. Greetings to the friendly waitress, she said, always thinks about pizza (Magerita)🤗

The atmosphere is nice, the place is delicious, but the food is worth trying.

The price was reasonable and the service was good. Of course it tasted good too. During weekends when there are many customers, you may have to wait a long time after ordering.

Luckily reserved in a full pub. There were three of us and we all enjoyed the food very much. Our table was in the hall, where the acoustics were very loud. But you have to live with that in almost all larger inns. All in all, it worked out.

In a beautiful location on the edge of the English Garden, this inn is surrounded by greenery. We were here on Sunday lunchtime, the beer garden was well attended in great weather, but there were still a few free tables. You can sit wonderfully outside in the beer garden. The inn isn't too busy with tourists, but there were apparently quite a few local guests, which is usually a good sign. We weren't disappointed either. The Flädlesuppe to start with was delicious, just as it should be in Bavaria. For main courses we had a knuckle and Schwabinger Schnitzel, a schnitzel with cranberry and horseradish breading. Unusual but delicious. The knuckle was also big and tasty. In addition to the normal menu, there is a weekly menu with two different dishes every day. As beers you can choose between Löwenbrau and Franziskaner. Both ladies from the service were very nice and on the ball. In terms of price, the dishes were absolutely acceptable. I can recommend this inn to anyone who wants to enjoy their food and drink in peace and quiet, away from the tourists.

Typical local beer garden with truly outstanding service. Friendliness and a smile are always very important here, and the teamwork between the waiters is also positive. Super nice to children and now the food is also excellent, and the verdict is also from our little son.

Despite our last-minute table reservation, everything worked perfectly. The food was excellent and the dessert was wonderful. Unfortunately we don't live close by, or rather thank God, so we save money on the wardrobe. When we are in or around Munich again, a next visit is firmly planned. Nice classic restaurant in a good atmosphere.

Unfortunately we would have to wait 50 minutes for our food. The roast pork was good in taste. But the dark beer sauce was made with a little beer...more from the package. This is the price for the supplement Coleslaw or red cabbage at 5.30 euros is almost record-breaking

Far from good Bavarian cuisine, roasted dumplings were a finished product quartered with inedible country youth. Nothing for a Bavarian.

Today was our first time at Brunnwart and certainly not the last time. Food was great - we (5 adults) had the cheese spaetzle, the Munich schnitzel, the redfish, the grilled salmon, the onion roast as well as apple strudel and apple cakes; everything fresh and ultra delicious!!! Great value for money, great location, but I would especially like to mention the excellent service - Valentina and all her colleagues are so friendly and warm, which is unfortunately not always a given in Bavarian restaurants. So a big THANK YOU for the wonderful evening and see you next time!

Ambiance was very pleasant. Both waitresses were still in a very good mood and polite shortly before the end. The food was good value for money and was very tasty. Both the service and the kitchen were quick, so no complaints from me.

Service was nice and courteous - but there were only 3 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. Nice atmosphere. But food poor value for money - small portions with almost only convenience products and frozen goods. Not much homemade. And be careful - the restaurant doesn't accept his vouchers from the voucher book... only dishes up to €15.90 according to the waitress... but there are no main courses for €15.90.

The Brunnwart restaurant exceeded our expectations during our visit. We were a group of six and each of us was extremely happy with the food, service and atmosphere. The ambience of the restaurant is charming and inviting, with a traditional cosiness. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, ensuring our evening was an unforgettable experience. As for the food, we were all amazed by the variety and quality of the food. From the starters to the desserts, every dish was beautifully prepared and presented. The ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality, and the flavor combinations were sophisticated and delicious. Overall, we can unreservedly recommend the Brunnwart restaurant. It is the ideal place for a special occasion or simply to enjoy excellent cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Traditional German food that was delicious. The water always costs, even tap. The waiter was great. The appetizer was very good with Bavarian cheese. The snitzel was in credible, so good, a must get. This is a nicer restaurant so it is also a bit pricey.

We came with a coupon booklet and were able to experience some really delicious German specialties. The service was very friendly. We didn't show up until 9 p.m. At that time there wasn't much going on on Thursday evenings. Since the waitress was preparing for the next day at the same time, it felt like a dinner for three. Nevertheless, the food came very quickly and there were really no problems.

Classic Bavarian tavern food in a lovely ambience. The food was good and delivered quickly. The menu is more meat-heavy, but that's what you'd expect here. The prices are not cheap but still reasonable.

A very cozy location in the middle of Schwabing. Excellent cuisine, I had ordered a burger with extra side dishes, a hearty bacon and a hearty mountain cheese on top. A poem in the truest sense of the word... At the end there was a delicious Kaiserschmarrn caramelized with apricot jam. Friendly staff and very attentive to the guests' wishes.
