I had a very unpleasant experience. The moment we entered the store, the staff smirked at us and greeted us with “Ni Hao.” I am not Chinese. What upset me wasn’t being mistaken for a Chinese person but the fact that they ridiculed all Asians as a whole. Their attitude was terrible, and they kept smirking at us the entire time. This store employs uneducated racists, so I advise tourists to avoid it if they don’t want to have their mood ruined. I felt so uncomfortable that I left without eating. Having lived in Germany and visited many establishments, this was the first time I wanted to leave a place without dining.

So far we have been really happy with the place. The food is great and authentic. Unfortunately the service was very, very poor on our last visit. The waiter didn't really listen and came with the wrong dish. Unfortunately, when we asked him about it, he showed no insight, assumed we had ordered wrongly and didn't react very constructively. Unfortunately, such a situation spoils the visit.

Roast pork and knuckle were only mediocre. It only tasted like salt and the knuckle was also very dry. Too bad.

Located in the middle of the city center. There were 5 of us in the afternoon and we got a table straight away. The food was served quickly. I can recommend the baked liver, very good!

Fabulous place. We waited to be seated but we then found out you don't need to wait, you just go there and take a seat and someone comes to take your order. Our waiter was fantastic, she was polite and did us a great customer service with a speed. You haven't got a clue how big is this place until you walk in and can't find the exit, it is huge and the team work very hard. Our food was fresh and we enjoyed our 1lt house beers. Definitely worth the money.

Fun dinner with some really good and affordable food. Ate off the weekly menu and was not disappointed. Service was a little on the aggressive side, the waiter lectured us about how you have to tip even though we thought it was not common practice. Understandably we were misinformed but kind of ruined the end of the night and the experience.

Only eat prepared foods. Ready-made sauces and slimy mushrooms from the can. The food was very bland and didn't taste like anything. Side dishes not homemade and the coleslaw was out of the bucket. Our service staff was on point and always friendly, but the other 5 service staff just stood around, playing on their cell phones and making loud calls over the loudspeaker in front of the guests. It really was much better here. We won't be able to get here any time soon.

Typical, very large brewery restaurant in the center of Munich. You always find a place. The rustic design of the many individual rooms makes you feel comfortable in the large restaurant despite the large number of guests. The range of food and drinks is typical of a beer bar, but there is also wine or a café, for example. I liked the food. The speed of the service staff is commendable. Despite the high number of guests, I was served in a friendly and attentive manner. The location is excellent, the Frauenkirche is very close. Always recommended!

The Augustiner is located in the middle of the pedestrian zone. The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well as professional. The food is typically Bavarian and tastes excellent. The restaurant is very large and offers a lot of space. Really cozy.

Songs are a disappointment for anyone who really wants to get to know or enjoy Bavarian culture. I am a 100% Augustinian fan! I love the beer. The location is a tourist trap that is really poor in quality and, above all, carelessly mass-produced! The food is not worth the money! As a chef and foodie, I can confirm this again. Everything is very hectic, takes forever and yet the food tends to be thrown away and carelessly prepared and served! A clear disappointment for us as a family who lives in Munich!

Absolutely disgusting meal. Ordered the special of the day, which was supposed to be lentils with noodles and sausage. Turns out the lentils, the main part of the dish, were from a can and horrible. What kind of place would even serve that? What kind of chef would allow that to come out of the kitchen? What kind of owner would allow that? Of course it was so terrible that Ionly ate a little bit. The waiter comes by to pick up the plate and says would you like a schnapps? Of course I think he’s trying to make up for this terrible meal so I say yes. Then see a $10 charge on the bill for the bottle of schnapps that he brought with no glass. It was the upsell. The final indignity was paying the €41 bill with a 50 and the waiter saying the tips not included. I say, yes I know and he doesn’t want to give me the change. This place is absolutely horrible now. I have been coming here for 30 years and I’ll never be back and I advise you don’t bother. .

Extremely rude! From the moment I arrived, I didn’t feel welcomed at all. The waiters were very impolite, giving unpleasant looks, as if they were doing me a favor. That’s not how you treat customers. I don’t recommend it. But if you still want to give it a try, check it out for yourself.

We 6 people - 4 of whom are self-employed in the catering industry - went to eat white sausage in the beer hall. We were angry. The WW were served 10 minutes after ordering, cold and first brewed but still reddish inside. First-brewed does not require preparation the day before. Minced meat law. The plates are cold, reheating with the same result.Cold! This is the third time I've had this bad experience. A 4th will be it no longer exists. You feel like a badly treated tourist with no commitment.

Unfortunately the food was cold, there was little on the plate and some of it was too salty. The non-carbonated non-alcoholic drinks and even when asked, they didn't get any better (although I got new ones but had the same problem). It's a shame that it seems to be "enough" for tourists these days, but the quality is no longer there. It's a shame, I expected much better for the money and the reputation!

The service leaves a lot to be desired apart from this, the totally unacceptable thing was when paying I asked to do it with a card, making me get up to go to the POS and demanding a tip from me in an imperative and bad manner. Can’t rate the food because we left before we ordered. The service and treatment from the staff was awful. They seem to hate tourists. We aren’t overly picky but we waited ages for a menu, weren’t approached to take an order and the person who showed us to the table in the first place was rude. It wasn’t overly busy either

Aspic with fried potatoes and currywurst with fries. Both were very good, a good beer with it, everything was perfect.

Augustiner Stammhaus is like traveling back in time to Bavaria. The schnitzel was so big that I thought a little pig would fly out of it. French fries are certainly not the most German thing, but they are crispy and tasty. Chicken and potato salad is love at first bite! The beer is excellent, the kind that makes you want to ask for more. The service is fast, the waiters clearly know a lot about German cuisine and will not let you die of hunger. The menu is in Russian - a big plus.

Hello everyone, I would like to warn you that you always pay the person who serves you and give you a receipt. It happened to me that another waiter cashed in with the excuse that he had a shift change. Unfortunately, I had to pay twice because I couldn't prove it. so watch out.

Large, rustic, fancy and busy Augustiner restaurant. Not sure if this was a restaurant or a museum as the building itself has its own charm. The food are good but slightly more expensive and the service was fine.

Worst food of my life. Beer had a strange taste. I had to wait for 15 minites only to be greeted by an extremely rude waitress. Food is as expensive as you can expect for a restaurant in Munich but it tastes like something from a trash bin. Avoid if you don’t feel like throwing up.

Two of us stopped for a quick lunch and had a soup and a meat dish with a side dish. The food was decent, the staff efficient and friendly. The structure is a very large historic brewery full of charm and is located right in the center, very close to Karlsplatz.

A bill for 87 euros was brought and I wanted to tip 5 euros. I was then accused of why it was so little and a racist comment was made because I was a foreigner. Great brewery with excellent food and beer. A must when you are in Munich. No matter whether you're upstairs in the brewery or downstairs in the vaulted cellar - you feel comfortable here and want to linger for a long time!

It's a shame food isn't actually bad. But for a semolina dumpling soup for 7.90 and then just a small dumpling and a cold roast pork presented in a careless manner, it's no longer for fellow Bavarians.

There are two halves to this place: the side with the tablecloths, and the side that has the same menu but costs less. You now know which side to visit. Pretty good food, and the freshest, coldest Augustiner beer I've found in Munich. Sometimes you might find a live traditional German band in the room in the back left, which can be fun. Do pay attention to the short beer pours here, though (and throughout the city). Once the foam settles, your beer should be up to the line. They generally are not, and sometimes they're not even close. Last night our waiter saw us discussing the short pours we received and brought more beer over to top us off. Update: the beer is still cold and the pours a little short.

Historic brewery along the central street of Munich. You eat well and above all you drink well. You are served with more attention than in other more well-known breweries

Tasty restaurant, fast service, dishes mostly ready, lots of seats, but you still need to book. Their Kaiserschmarren cake is delicious!

Overall, the experience felt overrated. The suckling pig, which we were looking forward to, was unavailable. Despite booking twice through Facebook, we received no response at all.

December 29th, 4.30pm, I come by and ask to be able to book for the evening around 8pm, the manager tells me that it's not a problem and to come later anyway. 8pm, we arrive and it's full, they ask us if we have booked... The pub and restaurant are connected and have the same menu (the evening manager told me this), there are several free tables in the restaurant, we ask to be able to sit down but the manager tells us no. He calls a waiter and tells him to bring us a table together with other people, and adds: don't worry, they are Italian. THEY ARE RACIST AND THEY DISCRIMINATE US. end of the review.

A factory for tourists! Unfriendly and unsmiling welcome. You will be seated at a table. Classic card. More than average cuisine. The shank has no taste, like beer sauce. Excessive price for food and service. There are plenty of other addresses in Munich. Good setting and beer.

If you want to enjoy good, inexpensive food and one of the best beers in the center of Munich, this is the right place for you. On top of that, there is a very traditional and stylish beer hall atmosphere, just like back in the day when the Wagner family handed over this venerable house to its true purpose to this day. We come here every time we visit Munich and without it it wouldn't be a real Munich stay. Please keep it that way, we will definitely and happily come back.

TLDR- come here for extremely shitty service. We were seated by the host and sat down to order with our family of 6, when a woman employee came over to us screaming at us to get out. Because the table was reserved. She said “you cannot seat yourself” - which we didn’t since the host seated us. She repeated the words “get out” 3-4 times. The host came back to apologize and offer another table but I said we were not staying unless she apologized. Instead she just shook her head and said I don’t need to say anything to you. Ok, great. There are about 15 locations within a 3 min walk that is better.

Unfortunately, the nice atmosphere and average service cannot make up for this in any way. - Cheese dumplings with the taste of old fat, only two pieces, with a side dish of red cabbage (?) with root vegetable topping (??) and fried onions with cress (???). Dear Augustiner, even if your target audience is not the locals - please deliver good Bavarian tavern food, especially at the prices quoted!

Visited on a family vacation and was discriminated against by a Chinese female waitress. The waitress lied to us and forced us to order one dish per person, even though we did not need to order one dish per person. Finally, even though I refused to tip, I was forced to pay a 10% tip even though I didn't want to. I think I was discriminated against because I am Asian. It was the worst memory of my trip with my family. I would not recommend this place because of the racism and scamming by Chinese racists.

Waited 54 minutes for the first starter, 75 minutes for the next. Service employees are far too overwhelmed. Just like that, there wasn't even a weekend rush during the week. So honestly people, it's best to give the store a wide berth😂😅

I had dinner there with a colleague on December 10, 2024. Incredible location, huge and almost always packed. Mega old building! The food is good, the service is too, they know their craft under really stressful conditions. Respect! Highly recommended, just because of the Bavarian cuisine.

We went there for dinner today after our family trip. The child was hungry and we were all looking forward to good, home-style food. Conditions came promptly and was friendly, our little one got a surprise bag to pass the time. He was very happy, even though there were only simple toys inside. There were children's schnitzels with fries (12.90) and a normal portion of schnitzels with fries (18.80), unfortunately the schnitzels were soaked in fat and soggy, and fries tasted like old fat. Roast pork with dumplings and coleslaw (18.60), meat rather tough and tasteless (unfortunately the small piece of crust couldn't be torn out), sauce totally salty, the dumpling somehow too and the coleslaw, well, there is better. Plus a pale light beer and a special and soda which were okay. From the reaction of the conditions, probably not the first criticism of the day, he took care of a discount, which was okay. I was looking forward to a relaxed end to my birthday with good food, but it was pure disappointment and the worst meal I've had in a long time. Conclusion of the day: once and never again!!!
