Brigantino in Berlin

After registering by email, we received a very warm welcome. The food was very tasty, but it also came at a price. The parking situation is a disaster. But we felt very comfortable and enjoyed the evening and the food

I really enjoy being a guest at Brigantino for years and am very grateful that there are still restaurants like this in the neighborhood. The dishes from the daily menu are particularly recommended!! Giovanni's warmth makes every visit a successful evening!

Authentic and tasty Italian dishes are served here. The restaurant is comparable to the "Sapori di Casa" on Wilsnacker Straße. The tables are cozy and invite you to linger with red and white checkered tablecloths, but fortunately they are not as densely packed as in Petrocelli on Kurfürstendamm. Giovanni and his colleagues ensure hospitality and an original Italian atmosphere. Just like you imagine a traditional pizzeria. The food is high quality, but not as expensive as in Culaccino. Lots of southern Italian ingredients like burrata, salsiccia and orechiette, and specialties like caponata. Generally recommended.

Unfortunately worsened... Unfortunately, our visit to Brigantino this time was not as good as hoped and expected. The atmosphere was still okay, but the food didn't convince us at all this time. The quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The service was also rather mediocre, it took a long time until we were served, too many guests? In terms of price it was rather overpriced for what was offered. Overall, unfortunately one star was deducted - there are definitely better alternatives here.

I would happily give it five stars. Very tasty food, friendly and warm service. We laughed a lot that evening. Price performance fits.

Poor service, no time to speak to you

Food is ok but they never give you a proper bill hence I submitted a complaint to the Bürgeramt because on two occasions I was asked to pay more than I ordered.

Ich fand der Kellner , der aus Zahwdan war wusste nicht was Rotwein und Bolognese mit Käsesind. Ich wollte gar nichts ihm bezahlen, da es zu säurig war aber wegen den Instrumenten hat er bezahlt um sie mit Musikern zu unterstützen.Italienisch könnten sie auch nicht richtig aber sie versuchten die Musikerin aus Italien zu spielen, was es ihm gefallen hat.Meistens com Oper!This is Nagisa Ghaffari +Musikerin, Musok Produzentin)

There are excellent Sicilian specialties here (be sure to try the caponata!), but the usual Italian standards are also prepared very skillfully and authentically. Host Giovanni guides you through the evening with great warmth, it's just fun with this enthusiastic, passionate restaurateur. Favorite restaurant!

Everything you could wish for: great food (from A-Z) that wasn't overpriced, great (romantic) ambience and excellent old-school service. Even the gluten-free spaghetti we brought with us was cooked/prepared by the chef! Cheers!

A real Italian experience, friendly, kind and nice. Traditional dishes, obviously adapted to local taste but retaining the Italian roots. It is worth it just to know the tales of the great Giovanni and his team. If you want to eat Italian (and not Italian-style) in Berlin, this is the place!

I'm writing this review while I'm still sitting in the restaurant because I want to express my enthusiasm. Giovanni, the owner, embodies natural warmth and an orientation towards customer-oriented service. My wishes were fulfilled before I even knew them (an amuse gueule, bread at the end for the wonderful sauce, beautiful unobtrusive music). And the meal itself was a delight (spaghetti with garlic)! Giovanni also took time for a little chat in between, and it turned out that we were born almost on the same day. Now nothing surprises me anymore, 19th is simply a good vintage :)

On the occasion of a small family reunion in Berlin we had dinner at 'Brigantino': From the pleasant atmosphere to the welcome and advice from the head of the house personally, the attentive, warm and discreet service, and of course the home-made Italian dishes, which were all a poem from the starter to the dessert - it couldn't have been better. Thank you very much again from Switzerland!

What stands out after the first visit is clearly the passion of the staff (I don't know if it was the owner himself) but he was so friendly and thoughtful in his work that for me there is no improvement in terms of service. We were satisfied with the food and the atmosphere was also very cozy, it was also nice to listen to Italian music in an Italian restaurant... In any case, I can definitely recommend it!

Portion was very small and tasted rather bland. Price not justified. Maybe I chose the wrong dish on the wrong evening. But the waiter was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy.

At least one of the best, because it's a real Italian restaurant in the city. I would fly in for the lamb fillet in red wine sauce, so I only have to cross the city once. And there are also homemade, hand-whipped Zabaione 🤩 Thank you for so many enjoyable hours with you 🙏

I celebrated my birthday with a larger group. The room is very cozy, the food was delicious (I was surprised). The contact with the arrangements worked great and was reliable. My guests found the evening and everything so beautiful and were thrilled. Thank you Giovanni, praise to the chef and the attentive service. I had a wonderful birthday and can highly recommend Brigantino.

You are welcome here as a guest. The boss sees each guest personally. A living room atmosphere that I appreciate. The quality of the food is always consistently good. A visit is always a nice experience for me.

Essen war super lecker! Lebe vegan und der Kellner hat mir verschiedene Gerichte vorgeschlagen zwischen denen ich wählen konnte. Ein Nachtisch war auch drin. Man merkt, dass hier sehr viel Herzblut reinfliest. Komme gern wieder!

Restaurant brigantino ist sehr empfehlenswert weil dort gibt es Pizza nach meiner Wahl und andre Gerichte

Ein nettes, gemütliches und Familiäres Umfeld man fühlt sich einfach wie zu Hause. Egal welche Wünsche man hat, sie werden erfüllt. Auch wenn etwas nicht auf der Karte steht, wenn es möglich ist, wird es möglich gemacht. Kann ich zumindest mehrfach bestätigen. Selbst wenn man mal nicht weiß, was man möchte, die Aussage bring mir bitte etwas Leckeres hilft immer. Noch nie bin ich hier enttäuscht worden. Zu 100% einen Besuch wert.

The atmosphere was amazing couldn’t be better! The waiter had very much humour and entertained the whole evening. There were lots of Italians, what is always a good sign. The food was very good. Pasta and meet were nice cooked. Would definitely recommend!!

Giovanni…fast sowas wie der Lieblingsnachbar. Eigentlich immer gute Laune und hilfsbereit…und dann einfach gern Gastgeber. Manchmal zu gern, da er dann alle lieber selbst bedient. Da kann es mal zu Wartezeiten kommen, vor allem wenn es um die Rechnung geht. Das Essen schmeckt aber immer gut und er ist einfach ein herzenslieber Mensch. Man geht da einfach immer wieder gern hin. 🍷

Top Restaurant, super nettes Personal und super Essen. Der Service ist perfekt, auch Extrawünsche werden berücksichtigt. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Platz Reservierung ist notwendig da es nicht all zu viele Tische gibt 👍👍👍

Hervorragender Service, gutgelaunter Giovanni - schlicht: ein Wohlfühlabend!

Das Essen ist gut. Keine „Michelin-Sterne“, aber meist sehr lecker. Einzigartig ist das Ambiente. Und Giovanni. Deshalb kommen auch viele Nachbarn aus dem Kietz immer wieder hier her.

Looks very Italian and very authentic. The food (seafood, meat and desserts) and was good as well as the wine. I wish we received bit more smiles from the staff and some usual compliments that make restaurant guests happier.

Ich war neulich dort mit meinen Freunden essen und wir wurden bereits zu Anfang sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und kam dazu noch super schnell zu uns. Die Kellner waren sehr herzlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Ich hab mich vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen war für mich einfach unglaublich! Und ich habe sehr viele Italiener ausprobiert. Ich bin hellauf begeistert und kommensurable jeden Fall wieder!

Heute fällt es mir etwas schwer keine fünf Sterne zu vergeben!! Als gebürtiger Sizilianer gehe ich hauptsächlich in italienischen Restaurants essen, meine Lieblingsessen ist entrecote a la pizzaiola, und die habe ich schon besser bekommen. Es soll kein genereller Maßstab für das Essen sein !! Der sehr freundliche Empfang von dem netten Kellner, der gut filetierte Fisch von meiner Begleitung, die nette Atmosphäre in einem netten Ambiente ist zum wohlfühlen!!

Wir waren immer mal wieder im Brigantino und sind zunächst auch sehr freundlich bedient worden. Die Atmosphäre war nett, das Ambiente gemütlich und das Essen zwar nicht spektakulär, aber vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut okay. Beim letzten Mal wurden wir komplett ignoriert - es hat ewig gedauert, bis wir endlich bestellen konnten (nachdem so gut wie alle anderen Gäste versorgt waren), dann hat es wieder ewig gedauert, bis wir die Speisekarte für das Dessert bekamen, worauf wir schließlich darauf verzichtet haben, weil wir weiterhin ignoriert wurden, und auch das Bezahlen war eine Geduldsprobe. So herablassend und geringschätzig bin ich selten als zahlender (und noch dazu bekannter) Gast behandelt worden. Das war's dann mit dem Brigantino für uns. Eigentlich schade.... und nicht besonders geschäftstüchtig, seine Gäste derart zu vergraulen.

Das Essen ist gut, der Service freundlich. Auch die Portionen sind angemessen, das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist gut. Insgesamt lohnt es sich das Restaurant auszuprobieren.

Das Brigantino ist seit 20 Jahren mein Italiener. Du kommst rein, wirst von Giovanni begrüßt und fühlst Dich sofort gut aufgehoben. Frag Giovanni nach Wein und Du bekommst immer etwas Leckeres. Das Essen ist gleichbleibend mehr als zufriedenstellend. Ich war vor ein paar Tagen mit einem Kollegen da, Giovanni hatte Ochsenbäckchen empfohlen - einfach hervorragend. Selten so zartes Fleisch gegessen. Jeder Abend im Brigantino ist Entertainment gepaart mit gutem Wein und köstlichen Essen. Giovanni, ich danke Dir und hoffe noch lange Deine Gastfreundschaft genießen zu können!

Went here last weekend, food was great and the atmosphere the owner creates is very warm and welcoming. It really felt like we went here every week. Prices are very reasonable and menu had wide variety of dishes apart from the regular pizza.

Wir haben an einem Wochentag gegen 23 Uhr das Brigantino zufällig entdeckt, wollten eigentlich nur einen Wein trinken und unseren kleinen Hunger stillen. Auf unsere vorsichtige Frage, ob wir noch bedient werden, wurden wir sehr herzlich eingeladen Platz zu nehmen - in Berlin schon eher die Ausnahme ! Der Hauswein (rot) war super lecker, ebenso die Pasta mit Calamaretti. ein wahrer Genuss. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen :-).

Nettes Lokal, ich wollte nur was trinken da es schon sehr spät war, gegessen habe ich vorher. Ein junger Kellner servierte sehr freundlich den ☕, d recht gut war , ich war zufrieden bis ich bei den ältere Kellner zahlen wollte. Der jammerte mehrere Minuten auf Italienisch, was ich mir so denke, Latte mit Kreditkarte zu bezahlen. Zuerst führe er ein lautes Selbstgespräch, danach beklagte sich bei den jungen Kellner,ich stand die ganze Zeit nicht mal 2 Meter von ihm entfernt. Die quittung brachte mir der junge Kellner und ich sagte nur, es sei unprofessionell such über Gäste so zu äußern, 1. sie können Italienisch sprechen, es ist nicht clever, weil sich Ktituk über unfreundliches Benehmen schnell verbreiten könnte 2. Wir sind in 21 Jahrhunderten und Zahlung mit Kreditkarte gehören dazu

Ein traditionelles gemütliches Restaurant mit herzlichem Empfang. Die hausgemachten Pasta waren eine Gaumenfreude, grazie! Wir saßen noch lange beim Hauswein - schade, dass ich nicht in Berlin wohne...

The pizza here was great. Nice thin crust with fresh toppings. The staff were also very patient with us. We did not speak German or Italian and they did not speak English, so they did their best to translate and did so very kindly.

Wir sind durch Zufall in dieses Lokal gegangen und wollten nur ein Bier trinken. Der Laden sieht von außen sehr unscheinbar aus. Der Service ist super, sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es herrscht eine tolle Atmosphäre hier sehr familiär. Aufgrund dessen haben wir uns spontan entschlossen hier zu Abend zu essen und auf Wein zu wechseln. Das Essen und der Wein war super. Für uns eine echte Entdeckung mit Potential unser neuer lieblings Italiener zu werden.

Ein tolles Restaurant mit leckeren Gerichten und einem tollen Wein. unbedingt den Empfehlungen des Kellners folgen. Er weiß, was er anzubieten hat. Ich komme bestimmt wieder.

Sehr nette bedienung, leckeres essen und günstig.

Leckeres Essen mit charmantem Service. Perfekt um spontan essen zugehen, gerade ab 20:15/20:30h bekommt man auch gut einen Tisch ohne Reservierung. Am liebsten würde ich immer auf den Hauptgang verzichten und mich durch die leckeren Vorspeisen testen

Leider war die Penne mit Spinat und Gorgonzola Soße, die schlechteste die ich je gegessen habe 🤷🏻‍♂️Die Soße war so dünn und fade, das man nicht mehr von einer Soße reden kann ! Schade, habe mir mehr erhofft !

Damals ('80 Jahre) als Familienlokal war sehr Gut. Heute ist immer noch Gut.

Was für eine wundervolle Atmosphäre! Sehr familiär und Herzlich und verdammt gut besucht sowie organisiert. Giovanni hat echt alles im Griff und die jungs sind super witzig. Das Essen war ein pures Erlebnis und mega lecker. Es ist sehr empfehlenswert und hier solltet ihr mindestens zwei Tage im voraus buchen.
