Brazil in Chemnitz

We went for lunch today in a group of eight people. The daily changing menu had three dishes for the entire week, with a vegetarian dish, a salad and a meat dish. In addition, there is a fourth meal to choose from every day. The food was tasty, although the portion could be larger for very hungry guests. But still big enough to fill you up. In total we were in the restaurant for just under an hour and everything went very quickly and was recommended!

A very nice restaurant, chic atmosphere and nice service. The dishes were very appetizingly prepared and delicious. Cocktails are also recommended. All in all, a restaurant worth visiting. I recommend booking a table in advance.

Enjoy your meal. Was delicious. Small to okay-sized portions... But the prices are really crazy. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. But I wouldn't go there again because of the prices and the food (which was small for my stomach at least).

Wenn man so liest scheint sich seit 2022 bis heute 01/2025 in Sachen Qualität nichts geändert zu haben!?Es sei man es nicht nötig.Das allein kann nur die Geschäftsführung wissen.Ich habe meiner Freundin zum Geburtstag einen Gutschein fürs Brazil geschenkt.Heute wollten wir ihn umsetzen.Tisch für 12 Uhr reserviert.Gern hätte man in der dritten Etage die Aussicht auf den Klostermarkt genossen.Leider war aber alles schon „ausgebucht“ zumindest sagte das die Webseite.Pünktlich sind wir um 12:00 Uhr aufgeschlagen und stellen ziemlich schnell fest das auch ohne vorher zu reservieren genügend Plätze unbesetzt waren.Wir waren quasi mit Personal gerade 4 Personen!!!!Wir nahmen Platz und orderten Getränke.Die waren ohne zu meckern lecker.Ich bestellte einen Brazil Chilli Burger mit frittierten Süßkartoffeln.Die Freundin gönnte sich eine Gemüsepfanne mit geriebenen Hirtenkäse.Es dauerte nicht lange und die Speisen wurden aufgetragen.Optisch sah es prima aus kann man nichts sagen.Aber der Schein trübte uns Sekunden später.Zuerst vernahm ich einen fischähnlichen Geruch wahr“konnte nicht orten woher er kam“.Die Fritten waren trocken und fast kalt.Der angebliche Rinderburger war aus unserer Sicht TK ebenfalls trocken und die Konsistenz wie vom Vortag.Sämtlicher Belag wie „geschmolzener Käse“ eher Kaugummi die Röstzwiebeln bekommt man auch beim Chinese ums Eck aufs Essen.Mein Körper rebellierte schon nach dem ersten Bissen.Das Brötchen Staub trocken der Geschmack war nichts an einem Burger gelehnt.Es war alles kalt.Die Bedienung bemerkte meine Enttäuschung und nahm es mit in die Küche.Eine Lösung gab es nicht das angeblich in den Burger gesteckte Thermometer sagte „alles top“.Ich habe nichts gegessen.Der benannte Geruch wie Fisch kam aus dem Burger.Da läutete ich das Finale ein.Die Gemüsepfanne meiner Freundin war ebenso kalt geschmacklos es fehlte an allem.Also bei Mc Donald hätte ich es wirklich frisch und warm serviert bekommen.Ich hatte richtig Ekel und wollte zügig das Lokal verlassen.Einen Pluspunkt gibt es da wir nur die Getränke bezahlen mussten.Nun haben wir noch immer 6€ Guthaben über vom Gutschein LoL…Fazit…Leider kommen wir nicht wieder ins Brazil.Für die Preise solch eine Qualität anzubieten..sehr gewagt.

Cool atmosphere, with a great South American feeling. The staff are on their toes and super friendly. The black bean soup was a poem😍😍 The spare ribs with fried potatoes and sour cream were good, but very easy to recognize as classic convenience products. Unfortunately, the cocktails were prepared with far too much ice and the 40 euro bottle of wine was simply placed on the table without proper wine service. Still very nice, gladly again and thanks to the team for the lovely evening!

Been there again for ages and, like back then, was discreetly disappointed. My partner had a rump steak, which one would think, the way steaks are advertised there, they should be terrific. Well....ordered medium and got it completely cooked through and slightly charred. The fries for my burger were just lukewarm and the meat reminded me of that from various snack bars, it was dry and tough. My friend had zero carbon dioxide in it...probably poured together from leftovers, not particularly great. Christmas music was playing on a continuous loop, and during the time we were there we heard each song about 3 times and at a somewhat unpleasant volume.

We were there 3 weeks ago and unfortunately this time we were very disappointed. The number of staff didn't match the ratio of guests at all and as a result there were long waiting times for the drinks for the breakfast brunch. You stood up the stairs and rowed for a long time to eat and when it was your turn, unfortunately a lot of things that used to be filled up more quickly were empty. In addition, the dishes were only cleared when we asked and were already piling up. We've been there a few times but this time will definitely be the last time.

Good food, very nice and courteous service, in a nice atmosphere. What more could you want? The spare ribs were too dry, the tomahawk was very good. So still 5 stars.

I have eaten here many times and overall I am very satisfied. The food is usually excellent and the macchiato tastes fantastic – a real highlight. The menu is not particularly extensive, but the dishes on offer are of high quality and really tasty. However, there are sometimes small weaknesses in the service, especially when it is very busy. It can happen that you wait longer for your food. A pension application might be a good idea because you would have plenty of opportunity to fill it out at your leisure while you wait. I also had to wait up to half an hour for the coffee at times. That's why I now order two cappuccinos at once to save myself the waiting time. However, the ambience is very inviting, cozy and makes you feel comfortable. A little bit more “zigzag” in the service would make the experience perfect. But all in all a clear recommendation for good food and great coffee in a pleasant atmosphere!

This is the second time we have been on a business trip to Chemnitz and stopped at this beautiful bar both evenings. The service is great, the atmosphere invites you to linger for a while, and the drinks are definitely worth the money. We would come back there at any time.

When entering the restaurant, the bartender seemed more annoyed than excited to welcome guests. The burger consisted of a lot of lettuce and a mini meatball that you had to look for under the lettuce. Unfortunately I didn't get enough. I then passed this on to the kitchen. Answer from the service person: Then you should have ordered side dishes with it. For the price and quantity, the burger was too expensive.

Very nice service, quick and friendly and also available for a bit of fun. The food was very tasty, plentiful and we didn't have to wait long. The homemade lemonades are also highly recommended. We would be happy to come back when we are here again and would be happy to recommend it to others.

Wir sind nach dem Weihnachtsmarkt noch auf einen Cocktail ins Brazil. Es war sehr gemütlich, die Cocktails echt lecker und der Kellner sehr charmant.

Absolute Empfehlung. Wir waren dieses Mal mit Freunden (6 Personen) und waren megaaaa begeistert. Leckeres Essen und kühle Cocktails und vor allem eine sehr zuvorkommende freundliche Bedienung. Beste Kombination einfach und ein großes Lob an das Brazil Team. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall bald wieder ☺️

For a restaurant that calls itself Brazil, it would be great to have truly Brazilian dishes on the menu. If you really always have to have burgers, how about instead of sweet potato fries, traditional cassava fries... And the list could get even longer. Unfortunately for me as a German Brazilian it's not worth a visit as it's simply nothing more than a standard restaurant with a bit of a steak and burger house feeling. But maybe things can still improve. It would definitely be great to get something there that you can't get everywhere and that reflects the Brazilian lifestyle. All the best and Boa Noite 😊

Been here for Sunday break. The quantity and quality of the food was very good, the service and staff even better. However, you should think again about the naming! That was the main reason for my reservation - but even the amenities had little to do with Brazil! Vll. It's different in the evening.

We got a table on Saturday evening without an appointment. The service was friendly, the drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was great! 👍

Das Brazil ist eine schöne, verwinkelte Bar. Die Cocktails sind gut und es gibt auch wenige Plätze direkt an der Bar. Das Essen ist gut und auch für mehr als 4 Personen gibt es genügend Platz.

I had dinner with my girlfriend after the restaurant was recommended to us. It was very worth it. The food tasted great and the cocktails were large and delicious. Cocktail from €8.90, main course around €14 for pasta and dessert from €7. So everything is normal prices. Staff was super friendly and nice. An absolute recommendation

The Brazil is a nice, winding bar. The cocktails are good and there are also a few seats directly at the bar. The food is good and there is enough space for more than 4 people.

We ate at Brazil several times, the first time in 2019 was great.(dinner) The second time (lunch) in 2021 was a failure, eating took a very long time, drinks were forgotten and then the wrong ones were served, and there wasn't much going on. The next time we were invited by friends (February 2023 dinner), at first we didn't want to go, but then we went. Here, too, we waited a long time for the food, changes to the side dishes were not made, and the meat and vegetables were fried to death. The last time we had lunch was on September 27th. We got the last non-reserved table on the middle floor, some film or book fair was going on. Well, it doesn't matter, we sat alone, placed our order, drinks came relatively quickly, then one by one the other guests came, ordered and everyone just got their food we don't. When asked, "sorry the receipt was lost", ok annoying can happen, after a while we also got our food, chicken with tomatoes and fries, it looked well prepared. Unfortunately, the chicken was still raw in places in both portions, so it went back and we asked for the bill. The lady from the service apologized (already sounded routine), said there was a lack of staff, only 2 cooks and then there were sick calls in the service, etc. and the amount of guests. After 1 1/2 hours we only had to pay for our drinks. I am of the opinion that if you know you don't have enough staff, you should perhaps have shortened the number of tables and only served the tables that were previously reserved. We would have gone somewhere else. We have gained our experience over several years in Brazil. It's a shame, but we won't try it here again. Nevertheless, we wish the Brazil team all the best and an easing of the personnel situation.

We stopped in for a few drinks in the evening. We got a place without a reservation. The selection of drinks is huge. The service was very nice and the drinks came quickly. Everything was very good. Definitely recommended.

Unfortunately there was only burgers left in the evening, but they were so good that I can't deduct a star for them. The service was friendly and always quick so we didn't have to wait long

Nicely located. Had the double meat burger. Personally, I didn't like it that much because there was hardly any toppings on it like tomatoes or something similar. Unfortunately there is only Pepsi and no Coke.

Great shop - were there 2 evenings in a row. Today we had a steak and my colleague had ribs - all excellent. Quality, quantity and price - great.

We were there late in the evening (around 11 p.m.) to have a cocktail. The service staff was already clearing up but still served us, even if they weren't particularly motivated. We didn't eat anything, but they were good. Next time we'll show up sooner and reassess.

I would have liked to eat after my not very good Negroni, but the service was, well... I also found it overpriced and overall unconvincing.

Food is usually great. But now I got up and left for the third time because no one was serving. You don't just experience this as a regular customer. Even on the weekend I saw a total of 3 tables where guests left because no one came and that after a reasonable waiting time. I think it's a shame and should really be improved because the food and location are otherwise good.

We were there on Monday lunchtime and were greeted very friendly and given advice by Peggy. She was really great. We didn't really know what we wanted to drink, but she gave us great advice and the drinks were delicious. Many thanks to you again, Peggy ❤️

We went to Brazil for dinner and were not disappointed. The service was extremely courteous and friendly. A nice table had been reserved for us outside, where we were safe from the heavy rain that was beginning to fall under a large umbrella. The spare ribs we ordered were excellently cooked and seasoned. The barbecue honey sauce that was served with it was also a nice extra. The potato wedges were crispy, roasted and well seasoned. You can hardly do it much better. Compliments to the kitchen and the entire team. We'd love to come back.

Disappointing visit - Never going to Brasil again. Today (07/08/24) my wife and I visited our favorite Café Brasil, where we have already been satisfied several times. But our visit today was very disappointing. As usual, we wanted something to drink and first ordered two large coffees. Immediately afterwards I changed my order and asked for a small coffee instead of a large one. The waitress responded extremely rudely and said she had already sent the order as two large coffees. Despite my request to change the order, she insisted that cancellation was not possible as my wife had ordered two large coffees first. Less than five seconds passed between my wife's order and my change, yet the waitress showed no understanding or flexibility. We found this unfriendly and uncooperative attitude to be pure impudence. Finally, we decided to leave the cafe without waiting for our coffee. We hope the administration will investigate this incident to avoid such cases in the future. Because of this experience we will no longer visit Café Brasil. It is unfortunate that the service has deteriorated so much.

Centrally located in Chemnitz, you can enjoy a drink or something to eat in a relaxed atmosphere. Since we only had something to drink, the food cannot be rated here. Service is good and relaxed, you won't die of thirst here.

In dieser Lokalität herrscht Endzeitstimmung. Die Tische zerkratzt, die Stühle abgewetzt, der Wasserstrahl des Waschbeckens auf der Damentoilette auf Minimalversorgung gedrosselt. Das Servicepersonal war bemüht, jedoch nicht in der Lage die Situation am Tisch unter Kontrolle zu behalten. Teilweise schnippig aufgrund von Unsicherheit, teilweise überfordert aufgrund von Unwissenheit. Für Letzteres könnte man noch Verständnis aufbringen, ist man heutzutage froh, wenn es überhaupt noch Personal in der Gastro gibt, welches wenigstens drei Teller gleichzeitig tragen kann. Hat man als Gast jedoch das Gefühl über den Tisch gezogen zu werden, hört dasVerständnis auf. Hier nur einige Beispiele: Bestellt wurde ein "Chai Tee mit Milch, groß", 5,70 €. Serviert wurde ein Glas (darin werden auch Cocktails serviert) mit Teewasser, ein Beutel aromatisierter Schwarztee und zwei Mal Kondesmilch in Portionsplastikdose. Auf die Bitte, ein wenig "normale" Milch zu bekommen kam die Antwort: "Ja, aber dann muss ich 2,50 € zusätzlich berechnen." Eine Frechheit - ich widersprach, die Kellnerin verschwand mit rotem Kopf und kam mit einem kleinen Minikännchen Milch zurück. Man muss sich bitte vorstellen: hätte ich diesem zugestimmt, hätten mich 300 ml abgekochtes Wasser, ein Teebeutel, 30 ml Milch 8,20 € gekostet (Warenwert max. 50 Cent). Für 30 Cent mehr bekomme ich in Frankfurt am Main einen Aperol Spritz in bester Lage! Bestellt wurden zwei Stück Mandarinentorte. Serviert wurden zwei so dünne Stücken, man möchte fast von Scheiben sprechen - in keinem(r) anderen Restaurant/Café/Konditorei habe ich jemals ein so schmales Stück Torte gesehen. Der Grund für dieses minimalistische Stück Torte war, dass in der Vitrine nur noch Eines vorhanden war (habe ich gesehen) und ich vermute, dass dieses einfach zerteilt wurde, in der Hoffnung der Gast bemerkt es nicht. Leider habe ich es bemerkt und reklamiert. Die Antwort der Servicekraft: "Da haben wir solche Schablonen, die auf die Torten gesetzt werden, das ist so." Leider komme ich zufällig aus der Gastronomie/Hotellerie und kenne die besagten Schablonen, tatsächlich in unterschiedlichen Größen. Solch eine Größe gibt es jedoch nicht, es sei denn, ich lasse diese extra anfertigen, um meinen Gäste das Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen. Zum Glück kam der Geschäftsführer und hat sich der Sache angenommen. Es wurde dann ein Stück Torte in normaler Größe serviert. Geht doch. Das Stück Torte qualitativ im unteren Bereich, es war schlichtweg geschmacklos Bestellt wurde "Salat mit Lamm vom Grill", 19,50 €. Ich bestellte dazu extra noch einen gebackenen Hirtenkäse, welcher mit 5,90 € Zuzahlung angekündigt wurde. Nun gut, kein Problem. Serviert wurde der bestellte Salat mit dem extra Hirtenkäse. Hierbei handelte es sich um eine Mini-Ecke Hirtenkäse (5,90€). Die Servicekraft schien über telepathische Fähigkeiten verfügen und sagte mir beim Servieren, dass der zusätzlich bestellte Hirtenkäse doch nur 3,50 € extra kosten würde. Es war ihr wohl selbst unangenehm für zwei Bissen Hirtenkäse einen Preis von 5,90 € aufzurufen. 23 € kostete also mein Salat. Das Dressing wurde entweder vergessen oder nur äußerst sparsam verwendet, sodass ich dieses nachorderte - diesmal ohne Ankündigung einer Extraberechnung. Der Salat - ungewürzt, ohne Rafinesse, nicht gekonnt. Wenn man beim Essen feststellt, dass der Salat zu Hause besser schmeckt, hat das Küchenpersonal versagt. Bestellt wurde "Bunte Gemüsepfanne mit frischen Kräutern und geriebenen Hirtenkäse", 17,80 €. Serviert wurde aufgewärmtes Gemüse, ohne Geschmack, ohne Würze. Das Gemüse sah aus, wie das TK‐Mischgemüse vom Discounter. Der Preis eine Frechheit. Es würde jetzt den Rahmen sprengen, auf die weiteren Gerichte einzugehen. Auch diese waren lieb- und farblos, von "kochen" kann hier keine Rede sein. Was mich an diesem Besuch am Meisten schockiert hat, ist das nicht stimmige Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Hoher Preis - null Leistung. Solch eine Lokalität muss normalerweise konsequent gemieden werden, da hier versucht wird, den Gast für dumm zu verkaufen. Bitte entschuldigen Sie an dieser Stelle meine Ausdrucksweise, aber das macht mich sauer. Warum? Solche Gastronomen wie die des Brazils lassen die Gastronomie in einem schlechten Licht erscheinen. Es gibt genügend aus der Branche, welche viel Geld, Energie und Herzblut in Ihre Gastrokonzepte stecken. Die Preise haben das Niveau so mancher deutschen Großstadt, obwohl die Mieten dort wahrscheinlich drei Mal so hoch wie in Chemnitz und die Personalkosten 50 % höher sind. Verstehen Sie mich nicht falsch. Ich gebe gerne viel Geld für ein Abendessen aus, wenn denn dann Alles passt. Das Brazil in Chemnitz ist NICHT zu empfehlen, außer man möchte für schlechte Qualität, schleppenden Service, ungepflegtes Ambiente viel Geld bezahlen

If you want to eat out in Chemnitz or drink delicious cocktails, you often go to Brazil. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The food is very tasty and there is something for everyone. The cocktails are large and relatively cheap at happy hour. I didn't really understand the price between the starter and the main course, as this price is already very high. But the food tastes really good. Always worth a visit.

Great cocktails that don't drop in quality even during happy hour. If you're willing to spend €16 on a Mai Tai, you'll get one that's worthy of the name. Respect to the bartender! Service was also very friendly and generally attentive, unfortunately the order for the main course was not passed on at first, hence the star deduction. The food itself (burger with fries) was good, but not outstanding. Overall, a clear recommendation, especially because of the drinks and the friendly service!
