Brauwerk in Bad Kreuznach

Went there on Sunday to grab a bite to eat. The cheese spaetzle was good. Unfortunately the soup was very bland. Service was very attentive. A large number of the men's pisuars were defective or overflowing and accordingly the smell was present.

We only had drinks. It was pleasant and well attended

Waiter unfriendly. Ordered food at 1:45 p.m., two simple schnitzels. We got them at 2:35 p.m. When asked, the waiter said without apologizing or doing anything conciliatory that 45 minutes was pretty normal. Oh well. When asked, goulash is advertised as beef goulash, but is mixed with pork. Unfortunately tasteless and not worth the journey for us.

I went home hungry after my visit and was really annoyed. The prices are impressive and what you get for it is really more than cheeky. I ordered a large salad plate with chicken. I got a green salad that was the size of a hand. The salad consisted of not even a whole tomato, 3 slices of cucumber and a tablespoon of large coleslaw. Only the meat was okay. The dressing, on the other hand, was not good and tasted like Maggi. A slice of bread was only given upon request. I told the service that I was annoyed and they responded politely, but it would have been nice if they had gotten a small discount.

Yes, definitely buy the beer bread. Of course the beer is also great. We stood with the motorhome on the corresponding parking space. A tip to the owner: Please think about the plumbing! It's overdue

Very nice waiter, delicious food and nice ambience, again at any time

Unfortunately, I was once again far too crowded for brunch on site for a long time... The buffet was refilled very slowly, we arrived at 10 a.m. By 10:20 the first plates were already empty and it took a very long time to be refilled. I wasn't in a hurry but having to wait 15-20 minutes for rolls is too expensive for the price they charge. Apple crumble or tomato mozzarella were no longer brought after 11:30. The buffet officially runs until 1 p.m. Drinks or coffee (everything except black coffee) orders were no longer taken at the table and we had to go downstairs to order. If I come here for brunch, I have to be there before 10 a.m. to be at the buffet at 10 a.m. on time and take everything I want to try straight onto my plate, otherwise I don't have the chance to try everything... The staff at the egg distribution leaves a lot to be desired, always making pointed comments to the customers. The rest of the staff were still friendly and tried hard, but the whole thing would have to be better organized for the amount of people, especially since it takes place every Sunday.

Were in the beer garden where there were drinks. When I wanted to order something to eat, I was sent away on the grounds that there was “land under” in the kitchen. Maybe because of the good weather there were more visitors than expected. So don't expect to get something to eat in any case, and especially not in a timely manner.

I rate the brewery inside, the beer garden would get much worse ratings. In the restaurant the food was good, the service was very good, we had a dedicated wait staff who put us in a good mood and felt comfortable. Outside the next day, waiting times far too long, disorganized... and what I was very annoyed about, an XXL bratwurst for €5.50 in a roll, which, to put it bluntly, was half of a normal bratwurst at a snack bar. Not recommended.

Good restaurant with attached beer garden. Delicious dishes with a varied menu! The home-brewed beer tastes great, as does the home-baked bread!

Very motivated, nice staff - quick and careful. The food was great and it was beautifully presented. Great furnishings and everything was clean. That's how it should be .

Unfortunately I can only rate the food with one star because after over 50 minutes only the drinks were brought for me!!!

Probably the biggest restaurant in the area, reservations are required, food is good. A bit noisy for those who like to eat in peace.

The entire staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Alex (chef), Mara, Paolo, and Ahmet (servers), and Barzan (bar). We were a small group (6 people). We'll definitely be back.

To pay 8 euros, gave 10. It didn't even occur to me to give something back...put it in my pocket, turned it over, and the waitress was gone.

The food was very good but the service was strange. First, 3 men at our pre-reserved table were practically thrown out😟. Then our order. When I asked if we could only eat here for a certain amount of time, the answer was an unfriendly 2 hours. Waiting time for food 54 minutes.🙄 Our question of how much longer was answered with a harsh: I said it would take time. What wasn't right 😵After we had finished eating and wanted to pay and it was finally our turn, the gentleman simply disappeared outside 🙄 so pay with another service. Our conclusion: The food was very good but the service left a lot to be desired🙄

The four of us had a delicious meal here.

We were at the RV park over the first weekend in March. And of course we went to eat at the brewery. The service was TOP on both days. Extremely friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. We'll definitely come back to eat :-) Regarding the motorhome parking space, I would also like to say that it is in a great location for a parking space. If I complain about rushing water and singing birds, as some here have done, I'd best stay in the city!!! The place is simple but has everything you need. We will see each other there again. Thank you for the lovely weekend in the building :-)

Update March 8, 2025: Unfortunately I have to deduct a star for the service because the waitress was very stressed, forgot something several times and had a rude tone. That wasn't the case in late summer 2024. Unfortunately the service has decreased :( Very nice location. I've been coming here off and on for years. You can see in the pictures... the light Brauwerk beer and my dessert - Keiserschmarrn with vanilla ice cream, vanilla sauce and cream. Very tasty 😋 For the main course I had the beer goulash with spaetzle - unfortunately no photo. But it looks exactly like the other guests’ photos 😉

The biggest shit, employees don't do anything... After standing in line for 30 minutes to order 1 beer, I left without a beer 🤦‍♂️ Guys, if you don't have any staff then close it!!! But the fact that people have to wait over 30 minutes for drinks that are then overpriced is really not okay!!! There is exactly 1 employee for drinks and 1 for food, it can't work in 17 degree sun. Think about it 😉👍

Very friendly service, the food tasted great and the own beer bread is highly recommended. The tables were a bit narrow so that you were almost sitting together with the neighboring table, but that didn't necessarily bother you too much (I'm sure it depends on the guests). It's definitely worth a visit there, the atmosphere is very impressive.

We were there during a bike ride to enjoy the first rays of sunshine. The terrace was totally cozy and of course correspondingly full. The service was very nice, funny and quick. Regional cuisine! We'll be back.

A great staff. I was at the spot to collect water because I urgently need fresh water. I took a card at the barrier and drove in. I filled up with fresh water and then wanted to pay for my card but there was no machine 😱🫣. So I went to pay at the restaurant. No success either because it was a rest day. It was now 10 p.m. and I wanted to drive further. I then knocked on the kitchen and was lucky that there was still staff there who helped me tremendously. You are the best and thank you again for the mega help.

Nice shop, good food and beer which I personally enjoyed. However, I have never experienced a managing director “chasing” and pushing his staff through the economy!!! And yes, I know that there is a somewhat harsher tone in the catering industry. I've already experienced it backstage with a star chef. BUT - fisticuffs are NOT possible at all.

The staff is really very nice but I don't spend my money with managers like that... outrageous, absolutely disrespectful and anything but humanity in the two of them! If these were my bosses, I would sue them from A to Z!

The Brauwerk is one of the only restaurants in Bad Kreuznach that is open from Monday to Sunday from lunchtime to evening. Also because of the attractive location, it is my first choice when it comes to spontaneous business meals. The service is very friendly. The food, I recently had a schnitzel with pepper sauce, is delicious. Personally, I once took part in a brewing course here with friends, which was very interesting and entertaining.

A nice restaurant with its own small brewery located directly at the Salinenpark and the Nahe. The air is really good here when the graduation tower is in operation. In summer, a beautiful beer garden invites you to linger even in light rain. The food in the restaurant is good and varied. Typical beer garden food is offered in the beer garden. The home-baked beer bread is a special kind of delicacy. We bring one home with us every time we visit.

So I think it's great here. Great service, great beer and very good food.

Had a spontaneous brunch at the Brauwerk today. As always, it was a pleasure. Rich platters with sausage, cheese, fish and everything that goes into a good breakfast. Everything was always replenished quickly, whether coffee, juice or from the buffet. Bread and rolls were super tasty. The sweet corner was also very well served and everything was rounded off with fresh fruit and super delicious yoghurt. Requests are responded to very well and the service worked great as always. All in all, you should reserve a table. We can always recommend the Brauwerk.

We went to the Brauwerk for lunch on Christmas Day and chose the Christmas menu. That was the best decision because the menu was very, very good in terms of size and taste. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially since the breakfast brunch had just ended and there were a lot of guests present. Big thanks also to the kitchen, which gives everything on days like this🙏. We can always highly recommend this restaurant and would be happy to come back.

Very tasty food and very friendly service. A clear recommendation for fans of the art of brewing and home-style cooking. The in-house beers as well as the non-alcoholic versions from other breweries are very tasty.

About the food: everything is freshly cooked, served hot and the price is right, considering the quality The rest: Loud conversations between the service staff, sometimes even leading to arguments. The “management” doesn’t seem to have his colleagues on his side. Disorganized and not often at the table. If we notice that something has changed in the ambience and service, we would be happy to come back.

Authentic and outstanding! The food is fresh and tastes good - you can tell the high quality. The service was attentive, friendly and not intrusive, just right. We had a great Advent brunch, with a lot of choice and a very cozy atmosphere. The staff was super nice and attentive, we felt very comfortable.

Staff friendly, table space is limited. Food for the price so-so. Schnitzel and beer sauce were very good. The salad was average and the Brauwerk-style potatoes were a disaster. I was wondering why they tasted so salty and found out that it was because of the diced ham. It's a shame, actually.

Unfortunately, the annual attempt to see whether the service has improved has failed miserably. Unfortunately, the great location and good food are still offset by pitiful service and, on the day of our visit, an incredibly unfriendly service staff. After all the negative reports from my area regarding the brewery, I made up my own mind. First of all: the food was really good and quick. Unfortunately the coffee comes from a machine and is completely undrinkable. Unfortunately, the service team was really bad. As a guest you are rather annoying here. People don't listen properly when ordering, serve too much several times and then provocatively ask what should happen to the wrong food. For a couple with a baby, it is relatively clear that they will not drink 3 cappuccinos, but only 2. When our group was complete, 5 meals were brought for 4 people. The attitude of the staff made you feel more than uncomfortable. This is probably based on the fact that there are few options for good food in Kreuznach and that's why you head for the brewery.

Since I've been there several times, I was there again on Friday, but what I experienced now was horror, the waiters just walk around and don't care at all, beer was there very quickly, then the next person comes along, takes away the menu, doesn't ask anything, all the waiters are running After 25 minutes I asked past us, can you order something to eat, or do I have to go to Burger King to eat, see that I can order something to eat, I understand why everything is closed, with an attitude like that they deserve it no other way like closing the blind I won't go there again.

Second time there, second time disappointed. Half the chicken was soggy and tasteless, the fries were okay, the coleslaw was fresh and good. Sausages with sauerkraut and puree: Sauerkraut not edible, puree okay, sausages bland. The people in service are quick and friendly. Conclusion: we won't be coming back.

We had lunch at the Brauwerk last weekend. There is a plentiful selection of hearty dishes and a few vegetarian alternatives. The quality of the food was good and the service was friendly.

This was our second time eating here this week, but unfortunately we were disappointed today. The schnitzel with the braised onions was very watery and my husband's burger bun looked like a normal breakfast bun. (Kaiser rolls) It was very hectic today and what is annoying on the 1st floor (for us personally) is that the front door slams shut and the floor shakes extremely. It's a shame because it tasted better during the week. Hence our renewed visit.

Very good food, lovely atmosphere next to the historical Saline, kind staff, very good beer brewed on-site. Waiting times can be long on busy days as we experienced, but we went as a group of about 20. Schweine Haxe is expensive and you need to wait 25 mins for it, but it is a must-try and definitely worth the price and the wait, and you understand why it is that price when it comes; it is not easy to finish alone. It was my first time trying it, but I'm pretty sure it's the best Haxe available around.

candeligt dinner for 2 people, 4 course menu. Unfortunately we only received a 3 course menu. This is not the right path to success. It's a shame. you should already know what the guest has booked.

My friend has already talked about the evening, but now I have to add: We were asked to leave an hour earlier than our original reservation. How can it be that a waitress threatens to use harsher methods and says she will sit us at a table outside (with a grin as it was very cold) just because we presented her with written confirmation of our reservation for three hours. The first time we were there, our food was packaged very nicely. Yesterday, after we insisted on our right to stay and let the celebrated birthday come to an end, a piece of foil was carelessly thrown onto the table and we were allowed to wrap the food ourselves. We liked coming here before, but now never again. Such an action is not possible; you are much better off at other restaurants. The evening was a mess and I absolutely do not accept such treatment from the staff.

A great restaurant in itself, but the treatment was a disaster. You never know where your turn is. When we were here for the first time, we decided to celebrate our next birthday here. Several guests came from further away and we had a cozy evening. The table was reserved for three hours. After two hours they wanted to throw us out because a larger group was expected. We complained and the boss was called, but in the end we were allowed to stay, but with the cheeky announcement that our previously great evening would now be ruined by a group of children coming. Thank you very much, dear Brauwerk team, for this poor treatment, next time we'll look for a smart restaurant that takes its guests into consideration, isn't quite so flippant and enjoys happy guests. The food isn't that great after all.

Enjoy your meal A bit expensive compared to other restaurants

The food was good, but the staff seemed very tense and unenthusiastic. After 10 minutes a waiter suddenly came and really wanted us to answer a piece of paper with 3 questions in writing. The last question was whether we were satisfied with the service. In general, it's strange that while you're with your loved ones you're suddenly asked to give a review of the restaurant where you've only been there for 10 minutes. The waiter came back immediately after 1 minute and wanted the note back. When I said that I wanted to answer the last question at the end, he aggressively tore the piece of paper away from me and said he would answer the question himself. Very strange.

A modern, yet cozy restaurant with very good food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately there is not much choice for vegetarians, but it is very tasty. If there were a few more vegetarian dishes on the menu, it would undoubtedly be 5 stars.

October 2022 Brauwerk Gastronomy: Table reserved for 6 p.m. We were there at 5:40 p.m. and were allowed to sit on the upper floor. Ordered drinks, 2 x starters and 2x suckling pig. After about 45 minutes and requests, the 2 slices of beer bread with olive oil and sea salt finally arrived. Bread was very tasty but it took 45 minutes to wait. After another 30 minutes the suckling pig arrived. Lukewarm, dry and the side dish (cooked potato pieces with Palatinate liver sausage + endive salad with a slice of tomato) is debatable... In total we were there for almost 2 hours, of which we waited about 1 1/2 hours. Shame about the suckling pig and the money!

Unfortunately, several service staff ignored us several times when the drinks were empty, even though we tried to signal this to several people. When asked if everything was okay, I shared our criticism. This was simply completely ignored and the service staff left our table without comment. There is another star deduction for this. There used to be a little gift for the birthday child, which seems to be history in addition to good service. Too bad.

Great food, very crowded and lack of staff, so long waiting time today! Otherwise everything is ok!
