Ein gemütliches, historisches Lokal mit köstlichen Getränken und Snacks, serviert von freundlichem Personal. Das erwartet Sie im Brauhaus. Der Treffpunkt für Genießer in Rheine.

Eine Apfelschorle 0,4l ohne Eis für 6,50€ ist eine Frechheit ohne gleichen. Keinen Cent werde ich diesem Laden mehr zahlen. Und dann wundert man sich, dass diese optisch tolle Laden kaum Gäste hat.

Sehr leckeres Mittagessen bzw Buffet. Der Service ist sehr gut. Das Bier ebenso. Man kann drinnen und draußen sitzen. Wir kommen wieder.

Toller Ort. Authentisches, lokales Flair. Hervorragendes Essen. Originelle Gerichte. Ich hatte ein köstliches Essen. Schade, dass es kein richtig starkes dunkles Bier gab.

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen war sehr gut und trotzdem sehr günstig. Sehr zu empfehlen

Einfach schlecht , es fühlte sich niemand für uns zuständig. Die Damen aus dem Service liefen immer freundlich lächelnd an unserem Tisch vorbei , vergaßen ganz die Gläser von den Vorgängern mitzunehmen . Nach ca 15 Minuten sind wir gegangen , da uns der Hunger und Durst vergangen war . An Stress kann es nicht gelegen haben , da sehr viele Tische noch nicht besetzt waren. Den Stern mußte ich geben

Schlechter Service, nur auf Geld ausgerichtet. Wir haben gebucht und das Menü vor Ort vereinbart, aber es stellte sich heraus, dass sie es trotz E-Mail-Bestätigung und Menübestätigung nicht ordentlich organisiert hatten – etwas seltsam. Wer Brauhaus mag, ist hier gut bedient.

Von der Tischreservierung, Einkehr, Bewirtung und bis zur Bezahlung, wurden wir vom freundlichen und kompetenten Personal verwöhnt. Das Essen war lecker und reichlich. In allem sehr empfehlenswert.

Groß, und ganz nett! Waren zum Konzert dort! Coole Bands, insgesamt ganz zufrieden!

Leider wurde die Hälfte vergessen, was wir bestellt haben, es hat sehr lange gedauert, das Fleisch extrem zäh, die Soßen haben nur nach Wasser geschmeckt, Pilze hat man garnicht rausgeschmeckt

Wir waren zum Mittags-Buffet dort gewesen und es hat unsrer Erwartungen tatsächlich übertroffen. Preis-Leistung ist super. Man darf für das Geld natürlich keine "haute cuisine" erwarten. Aber das was vorhanden war, war absolut solide und lecker. Das nächste Mal a la carte.

Das Ambiente im Roten Hirsch ist sehr schön und gemütlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet (in der Woche) ist ziemlich klein, aber sehr lecker. Eierspeisen gibt es frisch an den Tisch. Kaffee, Tee, Wasser, O- Und Apfelsaft sind im Preis mit drin. Mir persönlich hat ein kleiner Mülleimer auf dem Tisch gefehlt. Ansonsten fand ich es sehr gut.

Nach 20 min auf Nachfrage Getränke bestellt und nach Nachfrage noch mal 15 min auf die Bezahlung gewartet -,-

Nachdem wir bereits 2 mal sehr zufrieden beim Frühstücksbuffet waren, wurden wir dieses mal arg enttäuscht. Das begann damit, dass die Getränke (Kaffee, Tee usw.) nicht mehr inkludiert waren und jeder Pott Kaffee mit 7 € berechnet wurde. Weiterhin gab es pro Gast nur einen Teller. Ich kam mir vor wie ein "Bittsteller". Nach allem musste ich fragen. Beim Buffet fehlte jegliches Besteck (keine Löffel und keine kleinen Behältnisse für Marmelade, Honig und Nutella). Die Löffel wurden dann nach ca. 15 Minuten ergänzt. Das Gleiche bei den Müslischalen auch diese wurden erst auf Nachfrage bereitgestellt. Auf meine weitere Nachfrage wo die Milch für die Cerealien sei wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass die Milch weil sie ja auch getrunken werden könnte nicht mehr zum Buffet gehört und wir ja den Quark stattdessen nutzen könnten. Weiterhin wurden auch erst auf Nachfrage und nachdem wir dann bereits mit dem essen fertig waren der Salat, Gurken und Tomaten bereitgestellt. Auch Eier gab es erst auf Nachfrage. Insgesamt sehr enttäuschend.

Wow, 7,50 € für eine Currywurst. Sportlich. Und lecker geht anders.

Schlechter Service, zu teuer, die Happy Hour ist reine Abzocke. Gehen Sie bloß nicht hin!

Überteuertes und mittelmäßiges Essen… 36 € für ein minderwertiges, nicht einmal warmes Steak. Außerdem musste man die Happy Hour – zwei Getränke zum Preis von einem – extra anfordern. Wir bestellten zwei Biere und mussten beide bezahlen, weil wir bei der Bestellung nicht ausdrücklich nach dem Happy-Hour-Angebot gefragt hatten. Der Kellner war wenig hilfsbereit und kümmerte sich nicht um unsere Beschwerde.

Ich war Dienstag Abend im Brauhaus Roter Hirsch etwas essen. Sehr schönes Brauhaus und sehr guter Service. Gegessen hatte ich eine Currywurst mit Pommes und Majo, dazu 2 Scheiben sehr leckeren Baguettes. Warsteiner frisch aus dem Tank. Tolle Sache. Ich komme sicher nochmal wieder, wenn ich in Rheine bin. Danke ans Team.

Sehr slecht das essen haben wir stehen lassen. Bediening sagte das es gut wat. Niemals wieder .

Also man kann es nur empfehlen...Hab hier meine Mittagspause verbracht und es war herrlich. Durch Zufall bei Google entdeckt.

Sehr teuer für Gerichte mit durchschnittlichem Geschmack

Wir waren heute vor Ort. Es waren lediglich 3 Tische belegt, jedoch haben wir zuerst 10 Minuten gewartet bis wir unsere Bestellung aufgegeben konnten. Nachdem die Getränke gekommen sind haben wir erneut 40 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet. Auf erneute Nachfrage hieß es, dass unsere Bestellung vergessen wurde. Wir haben unsere Bestellung daraufhin storniert und sind gegangen.

Eine tolle Location, allerdings hat das Personal im Clubbereich leider den Job verfehlt. Warmes Bier aus der Flasche für € 4 mit dem Hinweis, man müsste es ja nicht kaufen ist schon spannend… - Im Restaurant ist es manchmal anders und nach einigen Erinnerungen an die Bestellung wird man dann auch bedient. Die „Geschwindigkeit“ liegt aus meiner Sicht weniger an der „Kellnerschaft“ als am unorganisierten Barteam. Mayonnaise für € 1,50 ist auch ne Hausnummer … Ein optisch ansprechender Laden, mit der richtigen Führung wäre sicher mehr möglich.

18 € für eine Karaffe Leitungswasser zu verlangen, das sich als „reines Luxus-Mineralwasser“ entpuppte, Kunden anzuschreien, wenn sie sich berechtigterweise beschweren, die Meinung eines Stammgastes, der sich zu Wort meldete, einfach abzutun und dann auch noch mit einer Verleumdungsklage gegen die Rezensenten zu drohen? Mittelmäßiges Essen und Personal, das sich sowohl persönlich als auch am Telefon wie Kindergartenkinder benimmt, ist meiner Meinung nach ein ziemlich schlechtes Geschäftsmodell. Mein Rat: Gehen Sie bloß nicht hin, suchen Sie sich lieber etwas anderes.

Essen ist Oke. Preise auch. Bier Auswahl dürfte besser sein. Service war Super.

We went here for breakfast today based on a recommendation, but were somewhat disappointed overall. The selection was decent, but nothing special. We were particularly disappointed that there were no plant-based milk alternatives – even for an extra charge, which we would have gladly paid. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very cold and therefore not very cozy. We also felt the music (loud rock) was inappropriate for breakfast. On the positive side, the waiter was very friendly. Overall, we won't be coming back, as there are other places that offer a significantly better breakfast and atmosphere for the same price.

We went to the Christmas breakfast buffet today with a group, and unfortunately, our experience was awful. First, the tables were packed so tightly that we barely had any space. Then, after just 10 minutes, everything on the buffet was gone, and it took forever for it to be refilled. This continued until the very end. We were practically yelled at when we asked if there were any more cups. Tables weren't cleared. Some items were only taken away just before we left. And then came the kicker: the buffet prices had apparently been increased by a whole four euros within two months. We weren't told this when we made the reservation, which was really unfair. After this experience, we will definitely avoid the Roter Hirsch.

The breakfast buffet was alright. There were fried and scrambled eggs. They tasted good, but it would have been nice to be asked if we wanted them before they were served. The coffee was lukewarm and had to be fetched from the buffet. We weren't allowed to take our own coffee pots to the table, as there were only two small ones available.

The food was a complete disappointment: the schnitzels were frozen and the sauces were definitely not homemade. Even the vegan schnitzel, about the size of a small saucer, was frozen. And all of this was overpriced... It used to be much better, and we'll never be back after this disappointment. Since it was very empty, it seems other guests felt the same way. The waiter apologized for the fast-food-quality food and was embarrassed to have served such a meal.

Tasteless rice, sauce from a packet, unseasoned "fried potatoes." The tomato soup tasted like pasta sauce from a jar. The staff was disinterested and more occupied with their phones than with the guests. One star for the sweet potato fries, which were okay. You have to go upstairs to use the restrooms. There's some kind of small kitchen under the open staircase where an employee was working; he had a perfect view up the ladies' skirts as he went upstairs. The restroom was cold and dark, but as far as we could tell, clean. We won't be coming back. The prices are absolutely exorbitant for what you get.

We had barely stepped inside when they thrust the menus into our hands. The waiter was dressed as if he were at home. The value for money is absolutely terrible; everything is frozen.

nice place, probably great in the evening ;) We were there at midday and had a nice lunch. Don't get the letterman salad if you are hungry (or order two ^^).

I go there once a month with a group of about 20 people. We have reserved tables, which the staff is aware of, but unfortunately the reservation system doesn't work. The service (ordering) is also disastrous; after many attempts, we can't reach the person! I do not recommend this restaurant!

I went there for breakfast. I received an extra plate with fried eggs, roast ham, and scrambled eggs. I got the rest from the buffet to fill up. At €14.50, it's a good price. I was very satisfied.

I went there with a friend for the lunch buffet. For the price, I found the selection rather limited. However, the coffee and hot chocolate were very good, and the man at the counter was also friendly and helpful.

Unqualified staff Pre-made products, such as schnitzel, are predominantly used in the kitchen. The price-performance ratio is poor.

Visited at lunchtime. They only have a buffet at lunchtime, but the schnitzel is delicious, and the all-you-can-eat option for 16.5 is amazing. The beer, Hirsch Dunkel, is also great!

The service and ambiance are excellent, high praise! The cheese spaetzle doesn't taste that good. The drink prices are absolutely outrageous, hence only 2 stars. This alone is enough to stop me from coming back. A shame!

Wow! It was a spontaneous visit for us! It was our first time at this restaurant and we just wanted a quick bite to eat. When I entered the restaurant, I was a bit overwhelmed. There were tables lined up in long rows; it had a cafeteria feel, but a lot more upscale. But a little further on, there were individual tables for two to four people. When the food arrived, I couldn't believe my eyes. How was I going to eat it all! On the plate were two schnitzels the size of a dessert plate, plus fried potatoes. The food was very attractively presented and delicious.

Addendum from September 18, 2025: We visited again. The service was still very friendly, but the food at the lunch buffet was unfortunately only of snack quality. It wasn't as clean as it used to be. It's a shame, though. The ambiance and location are great, but we won't be returning anytime soon. Naturally, we entered the restaurant with high expectations, so the disappointment was a real blow. The service was responsive to customer requests, and even though the place was extremely busy, the food and drinks arrived in a reasonable time. The food was of good quality. This was my first visit to this restaurant, but certainly not the last.

We went to eat at Roter Hirsch last night for the first time (unfortunately, also the last!)! There were three of us, and the appetizer, bread with various dips, was really delicious! Then our food arrived! It looked good, but nothing tasted good, absolutely nothing 😵‍💫 We sat for at least 45 minutes with our still-full plates, with absolutely no interest in clearing anything away! Then we went inside to pay and just left! We're really sorry about such a situation, supposed to be a great restaurant, but it's unfortunately being run down! Change something, and maybe it'll turn out alright! Unfortunately, we won't be coming back!

Friendly people, a large beer selection, and delicious food. There's also something for vegans and vegetarians. I highly recommend the house beer, a delicious, slightly lager-flavored lager.

We happened to stop at the "Roter Hirsch" brewery restaurant in Rheine, and it was a very pleasant surprise. We drank an excellent unfiltered Helles beer, the fries were perfect, and the toasted bread with ham and cheese was—to our surprise—accompanied by a delicious salad with sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Everything was delicious and prepared with care. Unfortunately, we were just passing through and didn't have enough time to fully enjoy the food, but we would have loved to stay longer. The waitress was extremely friendly and spoke to us in English, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for your hospitality! Highly recommended! 🌟

Great food and beer . Service was a bit slow

Signs outside invited people to try something that wasn't available "today." We still had a good meal and enjoyed a beer under a large umbrella. However, I had imagined "brewery" to be something other than a factory-run pub serving run-of-the-mill beers. You have to like such a dark, stylish ambiance, but I'm probably too old for that. I was surprised by the small toilet upstairs for so many seats.

Four people went to dinner, and the portions were generous and delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't quite manage to finish... The atmosphere was great, and the servers were very attentive and friendly. We would eat here again anytime.

The ambiance has become truly beautiful. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food. It lacked flavor and was far too expensive. Even the fried potatoes, which any homemaker could make better and which we've tried several times, were never truly good. There's still plenty of room for improvement. If this turns out to be a success, it will be an absolutely fantastic place to linger. A brewery simply lacks quick snacks. Not everyone likes fries.

We had a schnitzel and a hirsch pancake. The food was reheated with little love. The service was also mediocre. The terrace is nicely situated, though.

We sat in a nearly empty restaurant for 20 minutes, waiting for a server to order our drinks and food. No one paid any attention. After that, we got up and left. Service was absolutely awful. We've never experienced anything like it before – definitely not a recommendation.

Definitely a must-go. From breakfast to billiards, great outdoor terraces for people-watching, and club nights, everything's there.

We were drawn to it through the coupon booklet. The salad was a disaster and completely sandy, crunching as we ate it. The main course was edible but not exactly amazing, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. The ambiance outside is quite worn; it wasn't even wiped down before the food was placed on the table. All in all, not recommended!

We waited 30 minutes for our drinks. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed and tense and unfriendly. Because there was a large group inside, the guests outside had to endure long waits. We then left the place and were served in the restaurant across the street, as you would expect.

Yes, the food was good, but unfortunately the oil lamps went out so the food was cold...but I think that can be fixed quickly...

A service person was very unfriendly and even rude to us. We wanted to speak to the boss, but were denied. We then left without ordering anything. An email the next day wasn't even responded to. Overall, they don't value satisfied guests here. I've never experienced anything like that before. It's a shame, actually a nice shop.

Food tasted very good overall; But the fried potatoes were too dry. Given the prices, the portions could be a little larger.

Overall, the buffet is recommended. In detail: We found the breakfast plates too small, so you had to constantly walk or take two plates. There was no place to put a second plate or a glass at the buffet. The cutlery was bulky and unwieldy. The material looks like it is from the last century. There were a lot of crumbs on our table - even though the restaurant was open. The staff was very accommodating, empty dishes were cleared away immediately, and people asked several times whether everything was to their satisfaction or whether something was missing. Overall, we were completely satisfied, both with the staff and with the offerings at the buffet. We sat very nicely, the price-performance ratio was more than good. In summary, we can only recommend the Sunday brunch here.
