Brasserie Colette Tim Raue in Berlin

The friendliness and high level of expertise of the staff deserve special mention, as does the exceptionally delicious food. The duck menu is perfect for the pre-Christmas season. Although pricey, the value for money is excellent.

An evening of pure indulgence. Our visit to Brasserie Colette was simply magical. The menus were crafted with exceptional attention to detail and impressive skill – harmonious, sophisticated, and full of finesse. Each course told its own little story, making the evening a true culinary journey. The service was equally remarkable: attentive, warm, and always helpful without ever being intrusive. We felt welcome and cared for from the very first moment. Being able to spend our anniversary in this special place was a truly memorable experience that will stay with us for a long time. We are certain: This was not our last visit – we will definitely repeat this wonderful experience soon.

The food was beautifully presented, and the taste was equally perfect. We had a lovely table and thoroughly enjoyed the wine pairing. The wine selection was perfectly chosen. We'd gladly return, but perhaps not during the Christmas season.

We had the four-course duck menu. The roast duck as a starter was very good, followed by the onion soup, which was absolutely perfect in every way. Saltiness, sweetness, spiciness, umami – simply delicious. The whole duck was carved at the table, perfectly crispy and beautifully juicy. Unfortunately, the cranberry jus and the red cabbage salad were completely overpowered by cinnamon. I would have preferred a more subtle cinnamon; it was the only flavor I could taste. I think Tim Raue on "The Taste" would have given it a red star 🥴. The baked apple for dessert was also unfortunately overloaded with cinnamon, although it did come with very good vanilla ice cream. Ultimately, cinnamon is a matter of personal taste, but that's how we felt. We'll still come back, though, because otherwise the food, service, and ambiance are excellent.

A lovely spot for lunch, as Brasserie Colette offers a "table dressée" (in addition to set menus and à la carte dishes), a main course served with appetizers and sides. I had a perfectly cooked beef fillet with celery soup with truffle oil, lamb's lettuce, roast duck, an oyster, and pasta with goat cheese—all rather small portions, which suited me perfectly (but not ideal for those with a big appetite). Classic desserts, a nice selection of wines by the glass, and fair prices. Remarkably friendly and efficient service, pleasant bistro atmosphere. Good location, right next to KaDeWe.

Beautiful setting, but unfortunately a very loud Christmas party? Group. The service this time didn't deserve 5 stars either. The food was generally very good, as always, with a slight drawback to the vegetarian menu. The main course, a very long braised eggplant, was unfortunately just an eggplant without any other ingredients and tasted slightly slimy. The side dishes improved it somewhat… But we'll still gladly come back. Our previous visits were always worth 5 stars.

Funnily enough, I just saw in other guests' reviews that they had similar experiences: I found both the salad (the lettuce hearts with pineapple) and the Boeuf Bourguignon too "intense." The salad was very acidic, which was fine for the first few bites, but then it became too much and no longer enjoyable. The beef was far too salty. I had the feeling that they were cooking for elderly people who don't have much of a sense of taste anymore :-D The bread served beforehand wasn't for me either, because I don't like caraway seeds and it wasn't very fresh. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is very friendly and attentive. The wine was good, and they kindly removed it from my bill.

We spent our Christmas holidays there. The atmosphere was cozy. We had the vegan menu... an interesting combination, but not very convincing in terms of value for money. The dessert was unfortunately disappointing; a combination with parsley mousse wasn't to my taste and was rather carelessly presented. The service was excellent.

A cozy location where you can take your time and enjoy the evening in a relaxed atmosphere. We had the duck menu. It was plentiful, and the duck tasted good. The onion soup was very strongly seasoned and quite salty. It was difficult to eat much of it. Unfortunately, the wines we chose didn't impress us. We've had better meals for the price – even some time ago at this restaurant.

Total disappointment. The food was uninteresting, with overpowering and excessive seasoning. A €99 four-course menu included a duck that was far too overcooked and whose spices completely overpowered the dish. The crème brûlée was much too sweet. One positive point? A nice wine list. Would we return? Definitely not.

A service rating of 5+ isn't enough for me, as we enjoyed a wonderful evening at the bar and were fabulously pampered, also thanks to the unobtrusive, entertaining, and humorous interaction with the staff. Even though I'm quite picky and demanding when it comes to food, I followed the recommendations and was surprised and, in some ways, enchanted. Thank you so much for this surprisingly successful evening, and I'd love to come back – but the bar has now been raised high.

Not a good fine dining experience at all.. The prawns starter and the Pulpo were decent. We found the main course ‘ beef wellington ‘way to salty. Could just had 2-3 bites of it. There are far better option for this hefty price you pay for in Berlin or anywhere else. After we complained about the main course the waiter’s attitude changed from 10 to 1.

A very pleasant and cozy atmosphere. Exceptionally friendly and attentive service. We'll definitely be back for that reason alone. The food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the lettuce heart with grilled pineapple as an appetizer, the Boeuff Bourguigonne as a main course, and the Crème Brûlée with mango and passion fruit for dessert.

It was another wonderful evening with delicious food and being thoroughly pampered by a warm and welcoming host! It felt like coming home!

We enjoyed the evening at the Brasserie. The service was superbly friendly and helpful, assisting to select very enjoyable wines. The food was great, though geared towards enjoying one of the full menus. As a an adult man, starter, main and dessert were not quite filling but very enjoyable. I had the Loup De Mer which was slightly over, but the crispy skin and interesting flavor combination saved it for me. You can also order Steak Frites with a superb Bernaise which I had not seen on the menu. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money for high quality. Would definitely go again and try more of the menu.

Markus isn't just a host; he embodies hospitality at the highest level. With his style, he creates something rarely found in today's restaurants: the feeling of family, warmth, and genuine security. You're not served – you're welcomed. This special atmosphere is transmitted to the entire team and makes the stay an unforgettable experience. I sincerely hope Tim Raue knows what an extraordinary person he has at his side in Markus. And then the food – simply fantastic. Creative, perfectly crafted, full of flavor and emotion. Every course was an experience that will stay with you forever and crown the evening. In short: Anyone who stops by here will experience not only culinary delights, but also genuine hospitality in its purest form. A brasserie that sets standards.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, with pleasant service and some very good food at reasonable prices. I had a delicious fine de Claire oyster with a glass of the very good Cremant de Loire and followed by the equally delicious and beautifully presented bouillabaisse together with a glass of Côtes du Rhône Blanc. The excellent meal finished with an unusual raspberry tart with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and basil and a glass of Jurancon dessert wine. Recommended!

I can absolutely recommend it. If you're willing to pay a little more for a meal, you should definitely go there.

Wow, we had a truly amazing evening. The food was perfect, the service attentive and friendly. I also love that they offer a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks, even beyond the standard soft drinks. My only minor criticism: the uncomfortable chairs.

Last night's dinner (29/08/2025) at Brasserie Colette Berlin was truly exceptional! The ambience was superb, setting the tone for a fantastic evening. The food was sublime, and I highly recommend the Beef Wellington menu - the dishes are well thought out and the flavours are extraordinary. Every mouthful was a delight. Our main server, Leo, provided charming, brilliant, attentive and knowledgeable service, making our experience even more memorable. The champagne cuvee Colette 2018 was delicious, perfectly complementing our meal. Kudos to the restaurant manager Michael and the incredible kitchen and restaurant team for creating an unforgettable dining experience. We'll definitely be back! 5/5 stars without a doubt.

2nd time have been there. First time ( right after opening) service and the food was really good. The atmosphere is also good. Unfortunately 2nd time visit made me disappointed, first of all the dishes we had was a bit over salty , secondly service was poor. Waitress took the empty plates after our starters , our main dishes came and there were still a few small dirty plates on the table they did not take it. After 3rd visit to our table we asked them to take the dirty plates. My fillet was not medium to well, so I asked them to bring it medium to well it took 15 minutes to bring the dish again it was burnt. Still my favorite starter belongs to this restaurant but I am disappointed with food and service.

This was our third time at the brasserie, but unfortunately it wasn't 100% perfect. The service, or at least the person in charge of our table, was extremely incompetent. I can't describe it any other way. She spent the entire evening unable to remember whether she should speak to us in German or English, and brought the bill without being asked, even though we had ordered dessert. She apologized repeatedly, but this still had a negative impact on the evening. The food largely lived up to expectations, although the saltiness of the bouillon cube was very extreme. We know by now that Tim Raue likes to push the boundaries, and we love that too, but yesterday his team wasn't having the best day. Visually, the dishes were perfectly presented; the oysters and sea bass were excellent.

I definitely recommend the beef wellington menu. The dishes are well thought out. The wines picked for pairing were alright, but definitely nothing special. I think prices are crazy high for what it is.

Since I'd already been to Restaurant Tim Raue, I wanted to try the brasserie as well. I went there for lunch. The food was delicious and absolutely reasonable. Of course, it's not quite the same experience as at Restaurant Tim Raue, but overall it's really top-notch.

Great oysters, good meat, delicious fish, and matching wines! We also love the decor. The only drawback: you often run out of tables, so you have to make a reservation early!

Et voilà: The perfect lunch stop is Brasserie Colette by Tim Raue – located right next to KaDeWe and as beautiful inside as you'd hope a brasserie should be: lots of wood, a casually elegant vibe, Parisian nonchalance meets Berlin down-to-earthness. The menu? A mix of French classics with Raue's signature. From bouillabaisse to entrecôte – everything your bistro heart desires. Those who like can indulge themselves à la carte or tuck into "La sélection de Tim Raue" – a 5-course menu with dishes personally selected by Tim Raue. I immediately spot a handful of dishes I'd like to try, but – for once – I'm being sensible. After all, the full menu in the main restaurant is still on the agenda for the evening. So my culinary companion and I each opt for two courses à la carte – which is difficult enough, because the menu doesn't make it easy with its many little temptations. To start, I have the BOUILLABAISSE with saffron & rouille – classic, robust, really good. But the real highlight of the lunch is the MAROCÉAN PRAWN with pistachio, rose & lychee – a dish that smells of the Orient, of a spice market, of vacation. Absolutely delicious. For the main courses, I opt for the POURNIER FRICASSE with peas, carrots & egg yolk – comfort food à la Colette, but with style. My companion opts for the PULPO with veal head jus, Jerusalem artichokes, and pear – an honest, intense combination that doesn't overdo it, but does everything right. The bottom line? A wonderfully relaxed lunch that combines French savoir-vivre and Berlin coolness – and clearly bears Raue's signature. For anyone who wants to experience Tim Raue without immediately committing to the full menu, Brasserie Colette is the perfect introduction. Or rather: a delicious appetizer for more.

We love Colette! Yes, Tim Raue is omnipresent. And yes, as you know, the spices here are strong. But it's tasty. It's bold, but refined. Admittedly, we always order the same thing: shrimp Moroccan and bouillabaisse. And both are a feast for the palate every time. The service? Refreshing, professional, warm—and with a pleasantly Berlin touch. 😄 We like it! And: We'll be back.

Vi ledte efter en god Bouilllabaisse og blev ikke skuffede - tværtimod, den var fremragende. Tjeneren sagde det var hans anden dag på jobbet, men det kunne ikke mærkes. Han bidrog til en super god aften, med hans venlige, personlige og levende stil - meget stor ros til ham. Desværre havde vi en aftale vi skulle til, og kunne derfor ikke nå at få dessert. Den kommer vi tilbage efter en anden gang, men inden da blot denne varme anbefaling.

Preis und Qualität sind stimmig. Wir hatten das 5-Gang-Menü mit Weinbegleitung. Es hat uns geschmeckt und wir würden wiederkommen.

Gut essen kann man in Berlin an vielen Orten aber hier stimmt alles. Freundlicher Empfang durch die den ganzen Abend über sehr aufmerksame Bedienung (leider heute auch bei Toprestaurants keine Selbstverständlichkeit) Empfehlungen auf die man sich verlassen kann. Schweinebauch und Räucheraal mit Aubergine Chinakohl und Entenleberjus – klingt wild, war aber unerwartet harmonisch und lecker. Ebenso die Wildfang-Riesengarnele mit weißem Spargel, Estragon und Bouillabaisse Sauce. Nachtisch: Fromage blanc AOC, Blaubeere, Limetten und Zitronenmyrte. Statt der angebotenen Weinbegleitung ein formidabler weißer Chateauneuf du Pape. Wenn es einen besonderen Anlass gibt ist Colette eine sichere Adresse.

What a joy this Berlin restaurant is. Casual enough to be endlessly comfortable, refined enough to get every last detail exactly right, and delicious enough to leave us all running to book another reservation when the seasonal menu changes to ensure new surprises that are as fresh and innovative as they are scrumptious and memorable. The presentation of every dish had us pulling out our phones to post the picture perfect plates to family and friends. An outstanding experience from start to finish.

The service is excellent. Friendly, personal, and always available. The food raised our benchmark to a higher level. The beef fillet with Parmesan butter was simply perfect and melted in the mouth. If there's any criticism at all, it's the endive salad—the vinaigrette was a bit too acidic for me. But that's my personal impression and not really a criticism. Even though the restaurant isn't usually in our price range, we'll definitely be back for special occasions.
