Brander Bahnhof in Aachen

Als wir ankamen ging zwar einige Male die Bedienung an unserem Tisch vorbei, schenkte uns aber keinerlei Beachtung. Bedient wurden wir erst nach einiger Wartezeit auf Nachfrage. Begrüßt wurden wir auch nicht. Die Bedienung war durchgehend nicht sonderlich freundlich. Auf Nachfrage welches Gemüse im Auflauf sei, antwortete man „Kaisergemüse“, allgemein bekannt als Möhren/Blumenkohl/Brokkoli. Im Endeffekt kam ein Auflauf mit sehr vielen Bohnen und Paprika, auf den Hinweis reagierte die Bedienung unfreundlich. Preis/Leistung steht insgesamt in keinem Verhältnis! Beilagen müssen alle extra bezahlt werden, hier wäre ein Hinweis wünschenswert. Die Bedienung fragte bei allen Gerichten welche Beilage gewünscht sei und suggerierte diese seien in den Gerichten inbegriffen. Unverschämt! Schnitzel Wiener Art mit unansehnlichen Salzkartoffeln kostete so etwa 17 Euro, knapp 6 Euro bezahlt man für eine sehr kleine Portion Bratkartoffeln mit minimal Speck. Etwa 93 Euro für 4 Gerichte mit Getränken? Kein Service, kein herausragendes Essen… Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Super entspannte Atmosphäre und top Essen 😊. Genau der richtige Ort für einen gemütlichen Abend mit Freunden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Schöner Laden mit netter Atmosphäre

Das jahrelange Personal was dort arbeitet ist total unmotiviert sobald der Chef weg ist. Das Steak war gut. Das neue Personal auch, aber das alteingesessene Personal ist einfach unmotiviert und wirklich unfreundlich. Es wurde nach einer Essensempfehlung auf die Karte verwiesen, Wortlaut "schaut mal da hinein" und wenn man bezahlen will wird erst Tisch für Tisch abgerechnet mit einer Laune, da hat man gar keine Lust mehr dahin zu gehen. Schade wirklich. Das neue junge Personal war freundlich und bemüht. Und ein paar neue Boxen für Fußball darf man gerne einrichten. Das "Kratzen" der Boxen war schon anstrengend.

Freundliche Bedienung. Fajitas waren eine reichhaltige Mahlzeit. Alles gut...

Sehr leckeren Burger gegessen. Freundlich bedient worden. Der Kellner hat sich für jeden Zeit genommen und immer ein paar nette Worte auf den Lippen gehabt.

Schöner Biergarten direkt an der Vennbahn, das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Flammkuchen sind zu empfehlen, andere Gerichte habe ich dort noch nicht probiert.

Wir sind zufällig auf dem Rückweg vom Urlaub dort gelandet und es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir jetzt jedes Mal einen Umweg machen, um vorbeizuschauen. Gutes Essen, freundliches Personal und eine angenehme Atmosphäre mit den langen Biertischen. Absolut empfehlenswert, und die Preise sind super.

Das Essen ist nach wie vor super lecker und auch der Service war bei unseren letzten Besuchen immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Atmosphäre ist grundsätzlich wirklich schön – gemütlich und gerade für Brand eine tolle Location, die auch ein bisschen Bar-Feeling bietet. Leider gibt es jedoch ein großes Problem, das den Aufenthalt massiv beeinträchtigt: die Lüftung. Es scheint entweder keine funktionierende Lüftungsanlage zu geben oder sie ist dauerhaft defekt. Schon nach wenigen Minuten im Innenbereich riecht man extrem nach Essen – und zwar so stark, dass Kleidung und Haare den Geruch komplett annehmen. Wir hatten vor etwa einem Jahr einen Mädelsabend dort, den wir sogar abbrechen mussten, weil es einfach nicht mehr auszuhalten war. Damals wurde uns gesagt, die Lüftung sei ausgefallen – allerdings besteht dieses Problem offenbar schon sehr lange. Auch eine E-Mail dazu blieb leider unbeantwortet. Vor wenigen Wochen haben wir dem Restaurant noch einmal eine Chance gegeben, aber der Geruch war erneut so intensiv, dass wir wieder gegangen sind. Es ist wirklich schade, denn eigentlich kommen wir sehr gerne – aber unter diesen Umständen ist ein Aufenthalt drinnen kaum möglich. Wir werden daher künftig nur noch im Sommer kommen und draußen sitzen. Trotzdem hoffen wir sehr, dass dieses Problem irgendwann behoben wird, denn das Potenzial des Ladens ist wirklich groß.

Kurz und knapp Super Location, tolles Personal. Das Essen ist leider nicht der Hit und passt nicht zu der sonstigen Super Leistung!

Geh eigentlich sehr gern in den Brander Bahnhof. Super schöner Biergarten und nettes Ambiente . Ich war am 8.4.26 mit meiner Freundin da und wir haben beide einen Grillteller für 23,95€ bestellt. Sind dann gefragt worden ob wir noch Beilagen dazu haben möchten 😳 23,95€ ohne Beilagen ??? Haben dann noch Fritten für 3,50€ dazu bestellt . Das Essen kam mit gefühlt 12 Pommes dabei kein Salat . Das Essen war totgebraten und trocken. Die drei Sparerips schmeckten wie eine Woche in der Kühlung und dann warm gemacht. Und ein Grillteller war das auch nur im entferntesten Sinne für den Preis . Klar wird alles teurer aber für 23,95€ kann man auch davon ausgehen das Beilagen dabei sind ! Fazit :abends ein Bierchen im Biergarten top! Aber kommt satt! Unser Essen war, nett ausgedrückt : grottenschlecht ! Wie gesagt… nett ausgedrückt !

Ich war noch nicht hier weil er wohl noch geschlossen hat. Sieht aber einladend aus. Parkplätze sind nicht soooo viele vorhanden. Dennoch schauen wir mal bei Öffnung vorbei. Die Lage ist super . Direkt am Vennbahnweg.

Heute als Tagesangebot unter anderem Sauerbraten zum Preis von 17.90. 2x bestellt mit Pommes, einmal Mayonnaise und einmal Apfelmus . Es wurde geliefert,2 Esslöffel Apfelmus, ein Esslöffel Mayo, 2 x kleine Pommes und jeweils zwei dünne Scheiben Fleisch. Dazu ein 0,3 Cola und ein 0,2 Bitter Lemon. Endrechnung knapp 53 Euro. 38.50 für ein den Sauerbraten ( ohne Beilagen )und der Rest für Beilagen und Getränke. Unverschämt. Das Personal war freundlich, wenigstens etwas.

Super freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen. Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe und Hunden dort und wurden herzlich empfangen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Der Brandener Bahnhof ist gemütlich schön dekoriert. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen zuvorkommend. Wir haben zu Dritt Mittag gegessen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Gern wieder.

Eine sehr angenehme Überraschung. Der Burger und der Caesar Salad waren hervorragend. Ich komme bald wieder. Beim letzten Besuch war das Flammkuchen köstlich.

Kurz und gut: Leckeres Essen, prima Service in lockerem, ansprechendem Ambiente. Ergo: Ein schöner Aufenthalt mit Wohlfühlfaktor. Werde ich nochmal wiederholen.

A bereavement café was held here. Everything was great.

I come here every few months. Today I had the mixed grill for two. All the meats were cooked to perfection and very tasty. The staff were, as always, quick and friendly, and the price was reasonable.

We made a reservation for 14 people late last night. We had a delicious meal today. Everyone was very satisfied. No long waits. Very friendly service. We were very satisfied all around. We'd be happy to go again. Thank you!

Unfortunately no cake on offer, service OK, within walking distance to the fast charging station

The food was good, but upon request, the owner charged me €5.50 for a little over an hour to recharge my e-bike's battery, which was pretty much drained after 110 km. At 4 amps, that's roughly equivalent to 30 cents for electricity. I found it a bit unreasonable to charge about fifteen times that. Elsewhere, this is part of the service, and you get a tip (which I deliberately chose not to do in this case). The next pub was free, which I rewarded with a reasonable tip. The restaurant at Brand train station might need to rethink its business model. Until that's the case, I'll stop somewhere else; there are plenty of alternatives along the route.

I ordered a salad there, and a huge plate arrived at my table, definitely filling enough to fill you up. The salad was also very tasty. All my requests (power outlet, extra fries, etc.) were met with great friendliness and accommodatingness. I also found the location itself very nice – it's a great place to relax. The large windows overlooking the outside let in plenty of light. All in all, the Brander Bahnhof has a cozy atmosphere, impresses with large, delicious dishes and competent and friendly service. My wife and I were always wondering, "Where's a nice place to sit and have a drink?" Quite simply: at the Brander Bahnhof (train station). Really friendly staff, and the service is excellent. The food is also excellent, and everything is served in a very short time. A well-mixed crowd, which contributes to the pleasant atmosphere. Our dog (and this isn't something to be taken for granted) was also thought of, and water was brought without a second thought. Cool place for cool people.

Nice service. The beer tent tables and benches in the beer garden could use some updating. The food is below average. The colorful salad plate for €16.90 consists of half coleslaw, the rest is simple. A few tomato pieces and cucumber slices, beetroot. The lettuce leaves look as if someone took a small lettuce with the root ball and twisted it off, and the rest goes on the plate. Along with a few turkey strips. At €16.90, it's completely overpriced. The schnitzels don't look good either; they seem to have come from a deep fryer. Fries, side dishes, and dips are charged separately. A shame considering the nice location and the friendly service.

The food was good, and the portions were decent. The beer garden is nicely shaded, and depending on the time of day, you'll find a spot.

I give 2 stars for the nice gentleman who served us. We were there with a birthday party of 10 people, and it wasn't decorated in any way for the birthday person, which we do get in regular, more upscale restaurants, or for the 🎉person, for example, a drink or a small dessert as a token of appreciation for the establishment. Apart from that, we find it a bit overpriced there. The main courses are served like this – if you want a side dish or a small salad, you have to pay extra for it, and not a small amount... A few 🍟 cost €3.50, the salad €3.50, a good handful of fried potatoes even €4.50 😮.... We had someone eat there before, but unfortunately, they only told us this afterward. For example, I'm allergic to meat that's too raw, meaning undercooked meat. And of course, I promptly suffered... My meat was good at the beginning, but much too pink in the middle. So, I had to go back and cook it even more... We could see that the kitchen didn't like it, but I don't know what they did. They added a bit of new sauce and then came back to me. Made the first cut, which was better... The same thing happened in the middle, though, so I set aside a good half piece of meat and just ate the salad, which was delicious, and the sauce was delicious too. A children's schnitzel, for example, costs €8.90 without anything... So, 🍟 on top = +€3.50 = €12.40 for the children's meal = ridiculous It was a huge bill 😥😢, but for what we were offered, it was simply way too overpriced. We won't be having it again. Once and never again... Unless the prices are adjusted to the current standard "schnitzel prices" of +/- €14.50 including a side dish and salad... And a tip for you: If you think many people don't want salad, then set up a salad bar with 2-3 salad dressings to choose from, and you'll be able to welcome more customers...

Went there for dinner this evening. Very tasty, uncomplicated, very fast service, and above all, very attentive. Good value for money. There's also a beer garden.

The service is super friendly and fast. However, the food is truly inedible. I had a cheeseburger (with barbecue sauce?!), and the frozen meat was absolutely unacceptable. The chicken was incredibly tough; all in all, the value for money was not at all right. It's a shame. The atmosphere wasn't very pleasant either.

Forget it! I ordered a beer from the waitress. Half an hour later, the waiter came and told me that I could only order from him. Okay, we're not like that. So: I ordered another beer. What happened? Nothing! I left after another ten minutes. Bye-bye!

Für mich einer der nettesten Biergärten Aachens mit den besten Mojitos der Stadt. Eine solide amerikanisch geprägte Bistroküche mit einem aufmerksamen Service. Ambiente innen überraschend gemütlich allerdings - wohl durch eine technische Störung - eine erhebliche Geruchsbelästigung.

The food is good, though menu is limited but well prepared. Beer Garten is very nice. Staff is very kind and parking places available. Very well connected with public transport and close to ARAL gas station. Open bier garten too.

Yesterday I was at Brander Bahnhof – not because I wanted to take the train, but because my stomach was honking loudly. I ordered a grilled plate with mayo – very classic, very down-to-earth. Unfortunately, the Majo seemed to be delivered by stagecoach. After asking three times (and a short prayer) she finally came, almost as solemnly as a late ICE train. The small steaks were okay – not great, but edible. However, a minute less on the grill would have been good for them, then perhaps they wouldn't have been quite as dry as my uncle's sense of humor. The spareribs... yes, well: If the spareribs had been a train, then it would have been one that had derailed, without tracks. Dry, chewy and the taste is as far removed from BBQ as Brander Bahnhof is from Tokyo Central. A bright spot: the fried potatoes! Crispy, golden brown, perfectly seasoned – basically first class on this culinary slow train. I would have only ordered three portions of it. Conclusion: Fun evening with sad food. If you want to know how to make chewing gum out of meat, please go this way. I won't be back any time soon. Except for the fried potatoes. They were really great.

What a nice surprise! From the outside it does not look like much, we were not sure if we should enter. Glad we did. Food was great - typical german most of it, but really delicious. Large selection of drinks as well. Service very good. All in all... excellent choice!

A very nice, cozy atmosphere, if all the seats are occupied it is of course a little louder. Still nice. Very friendly, attentive employees. The food looks very good and tastes very good too. Highly recommended, we are always happy to come back.

The staff was on the ball and very friendly. We were there in a larger group and we all got our food together, which worked well. However, the food was at best ok and was carelessly prepared. The crowning glory, however, was the non-alcoholic cocktail - served in a completely overfilled glass, which was already completely covered in water on the outside, without any decorations... a milkshake would have been more attractive in any ice cream parlor! What we only noticed when we got home was that both our clothes and our hair absolutely stank of frying oil, very unpleasant!

Average restaurant where the food is okay but nothing special, but the prices are a bit overpriced. The rooms and the terrace are pleasant and the staff is generally nice.

We always enjoy going here. Food delicious, service all around great! Even if you come spontaneously without a reservation and it is full, a solution will be sought and if something is possible, it will be made possible.

Burgers are big and tasty, including the tarte flambée. The service is very friendly and the boss is always attentive.

In the afternoon there was rock music that was clearly too loud (including Black Sabbath), which had an unpleasant impact on the conversation and remained uncomfortably loud despite repeated requests for it to be reduced. I've been visiting this restaurant for years, but unfortunately the quality has significantly decreased recently. The food just isn't what it used to be. The dishes are prepared rather carelessly and also served just as carelessly, which spoils the enjoyment. The service, however, is still good. The staff are friendly and helpful, which makes the visit pleasant, at least in this respect. However, what is also disappointing is the condition of the outside area. The care leaves a lot to be desired and it no longer invites you to spend any longer outside. It's a shame, because that used to be one of the restaurant's plus points. All in all, I hope that the restaurant will soon return to its old quality, because it has potential that is unfortunately not being used at the moment.

Branderbhf.flammkuchen was okay so far but it was already cold for a transport of 7 minutes. 🫣. The pork medallions were of moderate meat quality. The mushroom cream sauce was from the finished kitchen.🥴 That's why the price-performance ratio is bad. I won't be coming back anytime soon.🤔

Went there with a mixed group to spend a nice evening. Was a complete success. The dishes we ordered were delicious, unfortunately the goulash soup and the dessert were a bit low for the price. Otherwise everything was OK. Service quick and friendly, location clean and tidy.👍

We ate outside. The tent sets are badly weathered. Many dishes consist of convenience ingredients (frozen burger meatballs, coleslaw), but a cheeseburger without fries still costs €11. We won't be able to get back here any time soon.

Nice atmosphere, unfortunately service took forever even though it wasn't really full. We asked to pay twice, which of course can happen, but we also waited 20 minutes until we could order. the food is okay so far. Both had a schnitzel with pepper sauce for 11.90. However, there were no fries, which cost extra, which I honestly didn't know and only noticed when I paid. However, the fries were good, the sauce was tasty, the schnitzel was unfortunately average. For 9.90 just for the schnitzel, I expected a little more than an industrial schnitzel. It was very even and just looked like it had been freshly taken out of the packaging and not fried in fat until fluffy. I would leave room for improvement. Serving Gaffel Kölsch in Paulaner glasses is strange, but it was tasty after the wait. Price for 0.5L €5.60... What's on offer is good for the area and the menu is sufficiently varied. However, the quality didn't convince me and I would only go there to drink instead of eating there again.

Very customer-unfriendly!!! I come here regularly, including with groups of colleagues. There was zero tolerance when asked to redeem a voucher that had expired a year and 4 months ago. Sure, my own fault. But at least there was also Corona and the lockdown. Instead of 60 euros, which was paid, a coffee was offered. There was no response at all to an email sent in advance. I won't go there anymore. Other innkeepers are also happy to have customers.

We recently ate there twice. The second time the food was somehow mediocre but otherwise good cuisine, a good opportunity, especially to sit outside.

We were spontaneous guests passing through - we had schnitzel, tarte flambée and burgers. The cheeseburger was really good, the tarte flambée was okay, but unfortunately the schnitzel was nothing - the mushroom cream sauce from the fix was unfortunately really not tasty and the schnitzel itself looked like it came from the deep fryer instead of the pan. Our waitress was very nice and attentive! Great service!

Beer garden atmosphere with wide beer tent tables and benches with backrests and cushions. When the restaurant is full it gets quite noisy. The service is nice and the orders come quickly. The food was okay...not very fancy, but delivered hot and quickly. All in all, a very solid overall impression…just like in a beer garden.

Unfortunately, Mai Tai only tastes like lemon juice!! Then ordered beer... Unfortunately not up to the fill line either! No thanks.....Never again!

For the prices, the quality of the food is very questionable. My cheeseburger had barbecue sauce on it... since when should a cheeseburger have any sauce other than mayonnaise and ketchup??? The service was sometimes friendly, but clumsy and not very intelligent. I specifically asked for a garlic dip instead of mustard to go with my mozzarella sticks. When I did get the mustard dip, I was told it was the garlic dip. But it was clearly not this one!!!

Sehr guter Service! Das Restaurant war an einem Mittwochabend sehr gut besucht. Die Auswahl des Essens ist solide, amerikanisch. Das Essen ist ok. Ich hatte einen Cheeseburger.
