Bonameser Stübchen in Frankfurt am Main

This traditional Frankfurt restaurant is not far from Römer and Kleinmarkthalle. The continuous opening times (between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. only cold food) deserve praise. Little has changed since my last visit in September 2005. 18 years ago people still smoked and played skat here. You could watch sporting events on the flat-screen TV. The furnishings and charm of the house have simply remained the same! There is perfectly tapped and tempered Binding Pils, even in the 0.2 l tulip (the so-called Schöppsche), apple wine from the Gessner winery in Kleinkahl and Maggi on request. The Chardonnay was highly praised, even if it was slightly disturbing that it was served in the former Rollander-Hof glass (known from the roof terrace of the Kleinmarkthalle). Very fair price-performance ratio: schnitzel in all variations with a well-sauced side salad. The veal liver with properly fried onions was perfect. For those with a small appetite, the scrambled eggs with fried potatoes and cucumber or the sumptuous sausage salad are always suitable. One of our group enjoyed Toast Hawaii. Seems to be pretty busy overall: regulars sit at the counter and around 3:30 p.m. it got pretty crowded. The nice manager Mira Durdic, her husband and grandson had their hands full (and not just with our group of 13). They do this stoically at a pace appropriate to their age. Let's hope they can (and want to) keep doing this for a long time.

The restaurant has been around for several decades on Hochstrasse, Frankfurt am Main. A location that is always very well attended. In addition to regular guests, there are also many tourists who have visited the opera house within a minute's distance. The dishes offered here are very well made and very digestible. It's a Frankfurt restaurant where you'll always enjoy going back. Good entertainment and very good drinks are available here. Therefore my rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars!

I only rate the restaurant: a young team, service-conscious and customer-oriented! The traditional dishes are skilfully implemented in a tasty manner and served attractively. Exemplary Frankfurt cuisine that is fun and tastes good. Simply recommended with a good price/performance ratio.

I can only wonder how this “restaurant” gets this rating! The food was absolutely average, he was a little below that. The shop was dirty, the service was rude, there was also smoking on the other side of the bar, which spread throughout the whole place.
